The Peacock and Ivy in South Lanarkshire

Went in for the 2 courses for £10 lunch menu and wasn’t expecting much but our doubts were absolutely blown out of the water. The food was amazing and so too was the service. Wife said the macaroni cheese was great and I honestly couldn’t fault the soup or the club sandwich. Star of the show was those salt and chilli chips. Absolute top tier. The server was great and friendly. We’ll definitely be back.

Hugely underrated gem in Hamilton, been several times and always phenomenal food. Wonderful staff and a great atmosphere, really handy parking nearby too!

Very friendly staff, greeted myself and my 2 dog's with water for them straight away and the food was great along with the service. Also have a separate menu for the dog's. Definitely recommend 👌

was asked to give driver a 4 number code, which I'd never had to do before the food was cold I ordered 2 steak pies which arrived with no pastry lid 3 pieces of meat and 4 pieces of sausage in 1 portion the same in other unacceptable polystyrene containers which leaked gravy into bottom of the bag chips soggy as they were in with steak pies have eaten IN this pub/restaurant before and standards have sorely dropped

Came in for our lunch, the Peacock and Ivy is dog friendly (including a doggie menu) Mon-Thurs. Service was great, food good. Well worth a visit.

my 1st time ordering from Peacock n Ivy . The food arrived early and was piping hot a great size portion and ttasted awesome I got a complimentary fne call from the Chef as he didn't have the desert I orderd so he read the desert menu and I had a lovely strawberry cheesecake. Four of us went for a meal. The 2 for 1 deal was on 4pm-8pm. We all enjoyed the food - two steak pies, one buttermilk chicken burger and one macaroni cheese with garlic bread. Will definitely be back!

Potatos for the pie were black and off. The enchilada was gone in 4 bites, next to no meat in it considering the price. Natchos were litterslly 6 chips with a sprinkle of cheese. No salsa/guacamole or jalapeños like the menu suggests. Dessert was

Jalapeño peppers were nice, buttermilk chicken burger was dry and just plain. Came with tiniest portion of coleslaw and no garlic mayo as advertised. My partner had the Chilli bowl which was nice. Not worth the money in my opinion won’t rush back

Steak pie was a let down it was rubbery and gravy was watery. It was bland at best. Came very quick hence the stars

soup was lovely you can tell it's homemade and the bread roll was warm i didn't get sent potatoes with bland steak pie tho but came with hard peas and soggy carrots and they also forgot my dessert which I hope tastes nice but I got a refund from just eat but meant I had to order from elsewhere when I wanted this meal 😳

chilli not spicy at all just tasted like minced beef. no jalapenos or sour cream as described tortilla chips soggy. hand cut chips soggy and everything lukewarm.

A bit quiet tonight for dinner but what a surprise, worthy note was the service from Briony, made up for the lack of atmosphere being quiet. Wings were lovely, hot sauce that was actually hot! Prices ok but they also offer BOGOF for the Peacock meals so well worth it. All in all, I'll be back for another dinner.

This was my 1st time ordering from Peacock and Ivy on the recommendation from a friend. The food was delicious and I will certainly be back soon ..

I've been using the Peacock & Ivy regularly and have never had a bad meal. On Sunday I was there with my partner and didn't even need to ask for menus or a drink. Sophie remembered us and came over with menus and remembered we'd be wanting a bottle of wine. Mary served brought us our food and again was pleased to see us back. Such personal service - thanks ladies. Look forward to our next visit

Visited the Peacock and ivy for the 1st time yesterday with a friend and we were not disappointed. We were made to feel welcome the minute we stepped through the door. We ordered our food from the set lunch menu and it was well presented tasty, hot and generous portions. The al a carte menu also looked great with large selection. The bar staff were very attentive and friendly. Also last but not least the cocktails were amazing with a great selection. Will certainly visit again . Would highly recommend.

Food was great but bit over priced for size of portion received.

Il start with the only good point which was how helpful the lady on the phone tried to actually be to solve the issue, start to finish absolutely diabolical, received the wrong order then had to go collect the right order, delivery was 14.42, only have food now 15.38. Fish is like a rubber duck, coated in like curry powered or something the chips are actually black to the core all of it was frozen, totally un joy able. First time order and I’m afraid I don’t think il ever order again.

I was so disappointed at my visit to The peacock and the ivy. I read the reviews before going and they were generally positive however myself, my mother and my sister sadly did not get that experience. We ordered three meals .. steak pie, scampi and lasagne and basically only the lasagne was ok. The steak pie was cold however the vegetables were piping hot .. returned to staff and the replaced with new warmer steak (not piping) the scampi and chips should have been called chips and scampi as I got about 7 pieces of scampi .. they both seemed over fried to me. I ate the scampi as I was hungry and left the chips. Onto drinks my French martini was far too sweet fir me but I drank it as you do .. my mum had a Baileys and when she got to the bottom there was something there that shouldn’t have been there. Told the member if staff who took the glass and came back and said it looked like piece of steak pie.. would we like another baileys. We said yes. We were charged for the Baileys so I assume they thought we added the steak pie to the Baileys ourselves 🙄. The member of staff clearing the table asked if we enjoyed the meal and I said yeah it was fine. They picked up on my tone and said it doesn’t sound like it was so I said things were over fried and not ideal. Was still charged for everything even though almost two full plates went back. I am writing this as I was disappointed I hadn’t been in this establishment since it reopened and thought let a go give it a go. Unfortunately I don’t think I would go back.

Delivered to a neighbour who only realised it was got me an hour later. Pub were unhelpful when I phoned to wait hadn’t arrived. Explicit instructions so they would deliver to correct address which were obviously ignored

Nice pub. Staff friendly. Ladies toilets need to be upgraded. It's worth a visit. Now have cocktails on tap 👌

Ordered steak pie and a cheeseburger. Not the cheapest but great quality and good sized portions. One niggle, would have preferred potatoes to chips with the steak pie but having said that the chips were lovely

my wife and I chose to have a meal and a few drinks here judging by lovely pics on Facebook , we booked a table and were promptly seated which was excellent , Mary was serving all the tables and nothing was too much trouble for her , Unfortunately the Bigot Brothers match was on earlier in the day and the bar area was full of young lads on the beer and columbian marching powder , we ordered Tempura King Prawns and Chicken Pakora for starter and was stunning , And for Mains I had the enchilladas from the specials board and my wife had steak pie which was great and couldn't fault it ! But the Lads were getting more and more boistrous and seemed to be getting egged on by members of the LBGT community sitting at the bar until at the back entrance next to us a young guy came in and started to throw punches and a full scale punch up broke out ! My wife was terrified and a table of ladies next to us all got up and tried to move out the way but it was over in minutes , with the triumphant bearded fighter escorted back into the bar like a conquering hero ?? Surely he should have been asked to leave also ? he is obviously a regular and seems to do what he likes ? We Quickly paid our bill Mary was kind enough to give us a discount and apologised but we wont be back , shame because the food was excellent

Never received my food that I paid over £32 for !

They forgot to deliver mac and cheese pasta. I went and collected it as they don't have their own drivers. Got home and it wasn't cooked properly. Cold and grated cheese hadn't even melted.. Had to finish cooking it myself

Great service from the team and lovely welcome. Was just in waiting for my car to be sorted so popped in for lunch. Food was lovely and 2 courses for a £10 was great value. Mac and cheese was delicious.

£6.25 for dry burnt chicken tenders, service was poor we waited a really long time and others seemed to have been served before us. Definitely not the quality or standard of the tap room 😪

The food was really nice, both starters were of good proportion and both very tasty. Mains as good as the starters, both plates really tasty and as described on the menu - absolutely no issues with the food. But - it was 35/40 minutes after our starter plates were taken away before the mains appeared, were they busy, I would say 4 or 5 tables max ! Whether it was the more drinks ploy I don’t know, certainly a waitress popped over and said our mains won’t be too much longer, and are you OK for drinks? I hope not, you’re better than this. Anyway, let’s try your Friday steak night in a few weeks again in a few weeks time..

£13.95 for lasagna that was not cooked though or should I say reheated to the right temperature or I would have received it hot at it was in tin foil container I had to heat it up on a plate which left bit rubbery and the rest of the food cold and rubbery, plus it was left outside my door on the ground, was put off by that alone , definitely would never order from them again

Best takeaway by far in Hamilton

The sticky toffee pudding was great,only down fall is its a bit expensive for the size of pudding you get. For this reason I will not be buying it again.

Very disappointed with the meals we had delivered, burgers were nothing special, Katsu banana with ice creme was 1 banana, small tub of sauce and about 1 tablespoon of ice cream. Definatly not worth the £45 spent on it. Never again will we use the Peacock and Ivy.

I went in today and the staff was amazing. The food was first class as always. The staff new everyone by their first name and made a huge effort with everyone that went in .I absolutely love this pub and definitely will be back very soon.

A lovely lunch, with very friendly service, very tasty food, nice pleasant and lovely and clean . The guys at j&s directed us there whilst we waited for a motorcycle helmet service., Much appreciated.

What a lunch , lasagne was perfect , hand cuts are class and garlic bread was sick , prawn tempura starter and side salad is the bomb , felt like I needed a crane to get me off my seat the portions are that good highly highly recommend. Chef is the star of the show.

This is a very friendly establishment. The staff is so nice and friendly toward new comers. Food was good, with a nice selection of daily specials. If I am ever back in Hamilton I will return.

Honestly not very impressed with this place, ordered truffle fries, but got regular fries (spending an extra £1.70 for nothing), and a portion of 4 prawns costs £7.95 which is crazy. Wouldn't recommend

I had my mums funeral tea at the Peacock and Ivy. The service was second to none and the food was excellent the staff was very friendly and polite. I will definitely visit again. Iwould highly recommend a visit

Absolutely lovely wee place, food was fantastic, we both had steak ciabatta and loved every mouthful 😋 so tasty, staff so friendly and helpful. We will definitely recommend to anybody and will certainly visit again next time we're through this way!!

The food is fantastic, the staff are so friendly & helpful. It was our first visit to the Peacock and Ivy and will certainly not be our last. We both had the steak ciabatta and it was the best I've had, the mustard sauce was beautiful and the steak cooked perfectly. Absolutely amazing wee pub the food was amazing and the service was outstanding especially our wee Mary doll she was brilliant with us all night will defo be back at some point soon totally recommend here for a nice bit of grub and drinks your made to feel very welcome 😁
