Jan catered for our retreat group last week. The arrival of her dishes was always a delight and one of the highlights of the day. The menu was fresh, interesting, varied and packed full of flavoursome local produce, with gluten free options available. The beetroot, butternut and broccoli lasagne was a personal favourite, but baby langoustines in a Thai broth and Roast Hogget were also memorable. Jan's afternoon cakes proved to be irresistible!

Absolutely diabolical. Take my advice and steer clear of this place. The staff can’t speak or understand English. The food was Luke warm, tasted horrible and portions were small, the salad consisted of lettuce, onion & olives only. The prices are exorbitant for what you get. I will be amazed if this place lasts. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Never again.

Called in on a Saturday for a quick bite before heading on to Gourock. My wife had pie, chips and beans. The pie was very ordinary and the chips had burnt ends. My Sweet Chilli wrap was nothing special - the chicken felt like it was pre-digested and the sweet Chilli sauce insipid.

We stopped here on the way back from a night in Aviemore. Food was delicious, I had a coronation chicken panini and chips and my wife had the scotch broth. Staff were very friendly and atmosphere cosy. Reasonable price unlike other cafes in the area. Would return.

We just wanted a light lunch before the ferry journey. We ordered BBQ chicken wraps with salad. What we got was 2 very small curried chicken wraps with a garnish not a salad. Inedible for me as I don't eat curry, my partner ate both which was equivalent to a normal pub lunch wrap. At over £30.00 a total rip off. They have a monopoly as there is nowhere else to eat nearby.

Coffees came quickly but I had to go and ask for our cold drinks, I asked twice (lady at the till and the barista) for one of the coffees in a small cup, it arrived in a large cup. I then had to go and ask for the cake that we ordered that was to go with one of the coffees because my friend had drunk half her coffee and no sign of her cake. The hot food didn't come out at the same time, my baked potato and haggis came first, the potato and filling weren't hot. The side salad was more of a miniscule salad. I sent the potato back to be properly heated, we then waited an age for the two hot dishes to come out at the same time. When my potato came back there was no apology for my wait. All in all pretty incompetent and disorganised.
