The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in Scotland

Very small café in Edinburgh centre, very few tables inside. We found a seat and we enjoyed the soup and sandwich. The staff is quite friendly, the coffee is good, the espresso a bit too long. Good place to eat something at a reasonable price.

Booked a family meal for 26 of us. Threasa and her staff were extremely helpful from booking and allowing me to decorate the room beforehand. We had children with us, and the room we were situated in was ideal as the kids could walk around without disturbing other guests within the restaurant. Thanks again 😊

By the time I realised I would be passing through Montrose, I knew exactly where I would be stopping for a bite to eat. As always, the staff were polite and friendly, greeting me as soon as I walked through the door. Claiming the small table they pointed me to, I quickly scanned the menu. Once I'd ordered, I had only a short wait for my breakfast to arrive. Not all breakfasts are created equal, but I always enjoy what I get in A Cup Above over anywhere else I visit. Real tasty smoked bacon, sausages, toast, a fried egg, and earl grey tea! Outstanding! Lastly, I would definitelyrecommend this place to anyone visiting Montrose, whatever the time of day. Loads of variety on offer and the cook will do what she can to accommodate any allergies or food intolerance anyone might have for whatever reason.

Cracking full breakfast and great coffee. Staff very friendly and chatty. Can be busy especially take away section. Would recommend

Buena comida, personal amable. Precio razonable. Lo recomendaría. Nos gusta ir a almorzar de vez en cuando. Recomendaría reservar ya que puede estar ocupado.

Visitó hoy el castillo y jardín de Balmoral ( 1 calle Abril 2025 ). Una estafa total. Muchas áreas estaban cerradas, los andamios que rodeaban la parte delantera del castillo destruyeron la vista, el salón de baile solo se abrió dentro del edificio del castillo y no se registraron comentarios como se prometió. Aunque la comida encantadora el restaurante es muy caro (más de £ 5 para un chocolate caliente). El show de regalos es caro también (£ 5 para un imán de nevera). La entrada era de £ 20 y básicamente llegamos a caminar alrededor del jardín durante 85 minutos. No espere caminar por ninguna otra parte del edificio (aparte del salón de baile). No malgastes tu dinero con Balmoral. Visite Sandringham en Norfolk, o el Royal Yacht Britannia en Edimburgo en su lugar, ya que estos tienen una mejor relación calidad-precio.

Closed on Easter Sunday with no notification what a joke of a business after driving out of our way to visit kid’s very disappointed Needless to say will not bother to visit again

Wouldn’t be in a hurry to return. Food options were quite expensive, and usual stuff available for kids which is limiting when they don’t want to eat soup or have a bigger meal at lunchtime (like chicken and chips). Found staff to be standoffish, bordering on being grumpy. Food quality was ok, nothing more and nothing less and the portion sizes were small for the price. Wouldn’t recommend.

We kwamen bij toeval terecht bij de Tearoom op het treinplatform in Crianlarich. De ruimte is eenvoudig maar authentiek ingericht. Aardige eigenaresse, prima eten en drinken.

Food was lovely great service 5 star plus couldn't fault anything very friendly would highly recommend definitely worth going

Don’t go awful rude aggressive staff OMG apparently I am barred despite never being there on accused night. Was told by the exceptionally rude aggressive finger pointing bar boy that I had apparently been there drinking at table 2 (wherever that is) “a while back” with some girlfriends and was drinking my own wine. He said if I gave my name he could say if it was me. I did and apparently he didn’t know the name of the person so therefore could not substantiate this ridiculous and offensive claim. Never in my life have I encountered such rudeness and unjustifiable accusation. I would happily admit to any wrongdoings but being accused of frequenting a venue on a day/night that I wasn’t there and accused wrongly of behaviour that I would not commit in a bar that I have always paid good money in is beyond belief. Do not go - rude, inconsiderate staff who blandly tell lies and accuse innocent people Previous experience has always been great. I even have a discount card, previous staff wonderful - this young boy awful, no customer service and it is easy to say that it’s not acceptable in this day in age to actually finger point at someone and talk aggressively. He did actually point his finger at me with no proof. Nor had no name of the supposedly accused person or when I asked for the cctv camera proof he could not provide any evidence Please don’t go, staff who behave like this should be trained properly or work in a different environment.

Servicio muy amable y atento. El miembro del personal (Jasmine) nos cuidó. Ella parece tener una memoria fotográfica y recordaba los requisitos de los clientes individuales (y no éramos los únicos! ) Es una cafetería pequeña, pero estoy seguro de que vale la pena visitarla y se convertirá en un lugar de reunión popular y personalizado / “abrevadero”! Paradójicamente, ¡espero que no se vuelva demasiado popular ya que los asiduos acérrimos podríamos tener que reservar!

Tengo muy buen recuerdo del local y sobre todo de la gente que trabaja alí. Me gustaría que supieran lo que agradezco su confianza y su apoyo en un momento crítico que pasé . Para mi siempre será mi sitio favorito para tomar algo en Edimburgo;además me gustaba mucho la comida.Gracias desde Elche en España

Having read some earlier reviews I was a little apprehensive but can assure prospective customers that the poor reviews are really not justified .Yes the menu choice was small but the three of us had different main courses and we agreed all were delicious. Luckily my wife's haddock and chips was too large a portion so I had to help her finish it. What a hardship! Nice crisp batter and triple cooked chips. Service was adequate, if a little slow, but we were not in a hurry. Nice ambience and reasonably priced.
