I only write reviews when absolutely necessary. £2.25 for a can of 7up!! Absolutely disgraceful!! How can they charge this much money for something so cheap!! Complete rip off for the tourist. I ordered porridge - it must have been in the pot since I don't know when as it was hard like sponge and I was sick as a dog in the evening. This place far too expensive and does not deliver the goods. Avoid at all costs.

Visited on a Sunday morning around 11am. Quickly seated and served. Had the breakfast burrito which was very tasty and well as a chai latte. Decent, modern decor and friendly enough staff.

We stumbled upon this cafe when looking for somewhere to eat, it was a nice little cafe/restaurant which was very busy (a good sign of quality), and the food was really nice. We ate soup of the day which came with bread, and a burger which came with fries, both meals were yummy. Would definitely go back, perhaps for supper to try out that menu.

Went here for brunch as the menu seemed to be reasonably priced with good options but me and my friend were left very disappointed by the food quality and service we received. Drinks orders were very disappointing. My friend ordered orange juice and it was clearly from a carton.I ordered a flat white and it was very badly made. Service was very slow considering one of us only ordered toast. The toast was soggy as poached eggs were thrown on the top that had not been drained. Came with side salad which was quite off for a toast dish and dressing was put on toast as well and my friend does not like mustard. I ordered a breakfast burrito that for 9 pounds was outrageously over priced. Bacon was fatty and avocado did not have skin removed. Very bland and I could've made a better attempt myself. I complained to the waitress about our experience and no attempt was made to remedy the situation apart from passing the blame on to the chefs - Quote: "I didn't make it" I felt that I was shrugged off and laughed at and found it was easier to just let it go. Overall, worst meal I've had in a long time and not worth the money at all. Would not recommend to anyone.

After a late start and missed breakfast, we decided to go into the old town for some brunch and came across this little venue. I had a full breakfast which I found to be very filing and set me up for the rest of the day. My wife had a breakfast burrito which was filling but unfortunately a little bland for her. The staff were friendly and efficient and prices reasonable. Would recommend

Was recommended by one of the shop staff on the Royal Mile. We were looking for somewhere to eat before the Castle. V close by. Great service and food was fantastic. Main and children’s menu. Eggs Benedict with haggis! Brilliant! Very good coffee.

Popped in for a late breakfast, was seated right away but no one returned to take my order for a while, which was a little frustrating but I was in no rush. I ordered the vegetarian Scottish breakfast which was much larger portion wise than I anticipated. I really liked the vegetarian haggis!! My eggs were a little disappointing, but still eggs are eggs. The atmosphere is very cute and cozy. Across the street you can watch tourists in front of the Elephant House. Plus there's a student discount which was very nice!!

We popped in here our first morning in Edinburgh. The service was quick and everyone was very friendly. We had pancakes, breakfast and eggs benedict. Everything was good. Portions were HUGE. We couldn't eat it all. I highly recommend this place for excellent service and good food.

I’ve been coming to this place for the last 2 years and I really like it. The management are particularly great. Last summer a manager (or owner or whoever) was chatting with us while we were there and we could tell he genuinely cared about making the restaurant great and making the customers happy. The food is good and they have an extensive menu with healthy options, smoothies, juices, good coffees, etc. For ages I was obsessed with the Superfood Gluten Free Pancakes, but they’ve changed them now and they’re not as good unfortunately. They used to be served on a long rectangular plate with the 3 pancakes spread out over a bed of spinach and quinoa, smokes salmon, poached egg, avocado, microgreens, and hollandaise on top, but all spread out. It may sound weird, but this actually really maximized the experience of the flavours and just made for a really nice presentation too. But awhile back they changed it and now they serve them in 1 big stack on a regular round plate with all the ingredients just piled up, the result being that everything gets a bit soggy, the flavours don’t work as well, and it’s harder to eat. Last time I went there this was intensified by the fact that the pancakes were undercooked and still batter inside. Also the poached egg was overcooked and the microgreens were not on the plate. Such a bummer. BUT the management was so SO kind about it. Different person this time. She didn’t charge me at all, not only for the pancakes, but also for the extra egg and toast I ordered to eat instead. I don't like to complain so I felt uncomfortable saying anything, but she was so understanding and apologetic and offered to make any new plate I wanted because she wanted me to leave full. My boyfriend got the veggie breakfast burrito and it was great. Also their homemade hot sauce is amazing! Still 5 stars. Maybe the chef just had an off day. I will definitely be back here. But I hope they fix the pancakes. Even without the other issues, the plating really was so much better before. I hope they change it back.

Ich muss zugeben, dass ich 2x hier war, während meines Aufenthaltes in Edinburgh. Die Gastfreundlichkeit und der Service haben mich einfach überzeugt! Das Personal war sehr umsichtig und immer schnell zur stelle. Nach wenigen Minuten wurde das Essen serviert und an ruhigen Tagen bekommt man auch eine Karaffe frisches Wasser. Wenn es voll ist, bekommt selbstverständlich der Tisch eine Karaffe Wasser, an denen mehr Personen sitzen. Diese Gastfreundlichkeit des Gratis Wasser habe ich sonst nirgends in Edinburgh erlebt. Die Chefin ist ebenfalls sehr freundlich und wir führten einen kleinen Smalltalk, als sie bemerkt hat dass ich in Edinburgh zu besuch bin und das erste mal Irn Bru trinke. Wenn ich mal wieder in Edinburgh bin, komme ich garantiert wieder! :)

Perfect spot near the centre of the city, and only a stones throw from all the tourist attractions. Attentive, kind staff. All with a smile on their faces and the food was top drawer. Eggs were cooked to perfection, it’s amazing how many places can’t poach an egg! But even better was the number of gluten free options, it’s not often that pretty much the whole menu was available for myself and my girlfriend (coeliac), and her Scottish version of eggs Benedict (with haggis) was supposedly as good as a gf breakfast comes.

We decide to grab a spot of lunch before going to the National Museum of Scotland and stumbled across this place a couple of minutes walk away. much of the menu seemed to be vegan orientated but I ordered a breakfast (sorry but I love my meat) and was pleasantly surprised - very tasty, very filling and cracking haggis for just north of a tenner. Service and delivery of our food was quick and friendly.

Cozy place, small but great menu, the portions are very generous, I couldn’t finish my plate which is no very often in Edinburgh, many gluten free options. Loved the place.

Spent a very enjoyable Sunday morning - great food, good atmosphere and really lovely student waitress who was chatty and friendly! Really made the experience. Will be back!

My friends and I went to brunch because we had passed by it several time during our time in Edinburgh, so decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in the staff were super friendly and keen to offer a good service. It was very busy unsurprisingly considering it was a Sunday at peak brunch-eating time but we received menus straight away and didn't have to wait too long to order.

The outside looks like a cafe but the buzz drew us in. We were having lunch and the menu was varied with vegetarian and vegan options. The service was very good, but the real star was the food. Good sized portions, freshly cooked and very tasty. A great place for breakfast, brunch,lunch and early dinner.

The staff member that took our order was busy telling other customers how she was out performing in a show last night performing and still had glitter in her hair from her show.

Really lucky to get a table - every time we’ve walked past it’s looked buzzing with activity!

Popped in for lunch and the food was decent but the staff were not. The tall dark haired girl wearing specs who served me was clearly hungover. She looked like she had just rolled out of bed. I would have looked past it, but her attitude was just a bad as her appearance. Not friendly and no effort put into customer service whatsoever. Just disgraceful to be honest.

Went with a friend for lunch during the week and we were served quite quickly, noticed they had some gluten free options which was great for the popular tourist Edinburgh street that usually doesn’t bother. But the Price for the quality of the food definitely matched the area. Sandwiches were quite expensive for how cheap they were made and skinny fries were so small.

Was super excited to find this place as I have a gluten free child and was really happy to see options on the menu. I wanted porridge. None available this morning despite being on the menu. Ok no biggie,but disappointed. Order gluten free toast and jam for myself.And GF pancakes for son. The food came out, looked delicious but was honestly so bland and stodgy. My round of Toast was tiny and neither the bread nor the jam was the type I asked for. Expensive and just meh. Can't recommend unfortunately

We popped into this place today and waited a few minutes until a table was available - we ordered breakfasts - I had the full Scottish one and my husband has eggs Benedict - both meals were great! Good value and good service too - we would definitely return!

Myself and my boyfriend visited here when we were on our way from Old Town over to Carlton Hill. We popped in for a quick bite to eat and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We loved the atmosphere here -- it was cozy and the staff couldn't have been any more kind. The service was slightly slow, yet, it was a very busy time. The only downside was that we received our food before we even received our coffee, but yet again, it was very crowded that day. The eggs Benedict were delicious! My husband got the full English breakfast, and he confirmed that it was wonderful. Very nice experience!

I have never written a foodie review before but wanted to give this place a 5 star review! They had the best veggie breakfast ever with tons of fresh veggies and other delicious items on the plate — not to mention the best veggie sausage! My boyfriend had the breakfast burrito and he absolutely loved it. He was also very excited over how fluffy the cappuccino was that he ordered. The entire menu selection looked amazing with gluten free and vegan options as well. Definitely would recommend this place :)

I recommend this place as it has great music and the waitresses were really attentive. It is a nice place to enjoy time with friends.

Came here as it served gf pancakes! They were pretty good.. had the eggs Benedict as well. Eggs and bacon were lukewarm. Still good that they did gf. They looked pretty busy. Servers were friendly and polite.. would of been perfect otherwise.

Had been in for coffee once before, service had been slow but I just put that down to maybe being a bad day. Decided to try it for lunch, but was disappointed to find that my past experience hadn't been a one-off. We were given a table which had just been cleared (not wiped), and after we ordered it was some time before our drinks were brought over, and we waited even longer for the food. When it arrived, my friend's sandwich, which she'd asked for to be toasted, appeared to have been microwaved?? One portion of fries never arrived, which we mentioned to a member of staff but we still didn't receive them (in fairness we didn't get charged for them). The member of staff who brought us our bill was so stressed he took a seat and put his head in his hands. The staff themselves were friendly, but there was a general disorganisation that slowed service a lot. It was unclear who was supposed to be in charge, and staff members were running around trying to do everything. The location means that it's always going to be busy, and it's clear that a system needs to be in place to make service less stressful for staff and more enjoyable for customers.

Never tried pancakes before due to ceoliacs and how enjoyable they were. Great range of gluten free options and supper tasty too.

We visited here after spotting it whilst going past on the tour bus, so glad we went in. The menu is delicious, plenty for veggies and meat eaters, we were spoilt for choice. A combination of great food and friendly service and a proper big pot of tea, we would recommend you pay them a visit.

Visited here a couple of times at the start of the year and I really enjoyed my visit. But my most recent visit it looks like they have new owners. Nothing tasted fresh and the cleanliness and service left a lot to be desired. The prices have shot up but nothing has been improved on from the previous owners. I will avoid now and would recommend anyone reading this review to do the same.

I had seen great reviews and tasty looking Instagram photos so thought I would check this place out. I can’t fault the girls out front they were doing their best. However the menus looked like they’d been through a world war. I ordered the pancakes which came with berries. One would be expecting nice fresh berries. However this wasn’t the case. Watery tasteless berries that I suspect were frozen which had then made my pancakes soggy. Very unpleasant brunch. The food was going out to all the wrong tables. The toilet was a state with no loo roll. I asked for some and was given serviettes. A very disappointing experience. The waitress did give us a discount to try and compensate but unfortunately the damage was done. This place needs some real work!

Went to Brunch and Supper for an early breakfast as we were impressed with a wide range of gluten free offerings. We sat down at 8.30 and when we left it was starting to fill up and it certainly seems the sort of place that gets busy. Service was friendly and food good quality. There seemed to be more gluten free offerings for breakfast rather than lunch or dinner but definitely worth a visit for breakfast/brunch due to ease of gluten free ordering. Very close to Royal Mile and tourist attractions.

My boyfriend and I went here for brunch on my birthday, firstly the waitress sat us next to a pram which was cramped and just really weird, we chose to move tables. After a long wait we were told we couldn't order food as the kitchen was understaffed- no apology from the waitress! We ordered our food a while later when the cafe had calmed down- ten minutes after that the unapologetic waitress returned to say they had no mac n cheese or veggie sausages(!?) so my boyfriend ordered toast with jam and I replaced my sausages with poached eggs, to our dismay the toast resembled soggy bread which lacked any jam and my eggs were more like bouncy balls. Still after this delay and poor food we had to pay full amount and we overheard many other customers also complaining about the food and the service. Safe to say we were thoroughly disappointed with this cafe would not recommend

Visited for brunch as a group of 6. Seated quickly but we had to ask for service when food came it was cold. One party member sent it back, one didn't eat it. No apology from staff when we complained about the food. Stone cold beans, mushroom and poached eggs.

Got off the train on our first visit to Edinburgh decided to head somewhere for a little bite to eat. We had had breakfast earlier so a bacon sandwich and drink we ordered - I ordered a children’s apple juice for my daughter who is a poor drinker. When it arrived it was in jar style I said to the server it was big for a kids size and they smiled. When I got the bill they had charged over double price for adults, explained I ordered the kids as as she could see my daughter had only drank a quarter - she said yes but you got an adults size - after some tuts and slamming my bill down the bill was amended - no apology no Thankyou nothing. Really abrupt - really wish this wasn’t our very impression of such a beautiful city.

Went here with my family recently and we left feeling disappointed. The service was poor, the coffee was served cold and we had to wait 15 mins for a bottle of water. The food was OK but served warm not hot. Won’t be going back.

I had the Scottish eggs for brunch - basically eggs Benedict but with haggis instead (when in Rome). The poached eggs were only just about cooked, the inside of the white was only just set. I was going to send it back... but I didn't feel comfortable doing so, (type of place where you wouldn't know what would come back out...!)

My partner and i visited a few months ago for supper and it was lovely.

A good menu for breakfasts, which were all delicious. Coffee was good too - we had a variety of latte - soya milk, coconut milk and normal latte.

We came here for lunch on our last day in Edinburgh. We ordered a sandwich which came with side salad and a small soup. Both of these were really lovely but for £9 and £4 we did not get a lot of food. However, I would definitely go back.

We were recommend from our hostel Castle Rock hostel.. We came in and had lunch and definitely enjoyed it. It’s a small cafe that holds about 20 or less tables, we had haggis sandwich with latte and it wasn’t bad for the price. Comfortable, friendly service and quick . The places is lovely and would recommend people to go at least once..

Un po’ fuori dal flusso turistico questa caffetteria con cucina ci ha colpito come prima cosa per l’aspetto Dalla vetrina inducendoci ad entrare. Arredamento semplice ma curato, panche con cuscini, tavoli di legno, elegante nella sua semplicità. Personale gentilissimo e molto attento. Cibo ottimo, scelto il piatto c’é la possibilità di averlo in tre versioni differenti: sandwich, wrap o insalata, spaziando dalla carne di manzo, al pollo, al’agnello e all’immancabile salmone affumicato. Per i più classici ci sono gli hamburger o pancake dolci o salati e ciliegina sulla torta hanno un caffè espresso eccezionale!

Un quart d'heure voire plus pour que le serveur comprenne ce qu'est un grand café au lait... La commande arrive et j'ai un café normal avec une pointe de lait.. Je renvoie et je constate que la serveuse se rit de moi avec ses collègues..le grand café au lait arrive enfin je le sucre et je sens quelque chose de craquant sous la dent... Un cafard mais tout le monde s'en moque... Aucun geste commercial pas de changement de café...boucan de dingue nous ne nous entendions pas et service long... Je ne recommande pas cet établissement... Le bacon n'était pas frais presque ranse... À éviter à tous les niveaux

This was a bargain on a Living Social voucher. 3 courses for 2 people £19 - with a drink! This was so cheap it seemed too good to be true. However, it wasn't. The food was lovely and something really different. The black pudding and haggis croquettes were beautiful. Cant fault this for value and the staff were helpful.

Visited here a number of times during the fringe. Fabulous coffee, cakes and very bespoke food!! Defo worth a visit. Very helpful and friendly staff. Made our visit.

Was really hungry and this cafe looked decent BUT we ordered two sandwiches, one portion of fries and a coffee and it came to nearly £30! The bacon was practically raw, the coffee was terrible and both sandwiches were stone cold. £4.95 for a side of fries too! I’m a waitress and I know everyone has bad days but the staff were really miserable and unhelpful. We have had lovely food elsewhere for far less money, don’t bother.

Brunch and Supper rivals any London brunch. We really enjoyed our time there - the food was delicious and the service was great. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re up in Edinburgh!

Prices are good, quality of the meals is good, service is good and also choice. I'd definitely recommend it.

Service and food great - the let down factor was the toilet status and no soap for a place serving food is extremely unhygienic but this seems to be the norm in Edinburgh

I used a voucher , booked on line for a saturday night. We were served by a very pleasant Irish guy and given a wide range of food options to choose from. The portions were generous , the food was good , the wine was fine and the whole experience was extremely good value.

Visited after a long morning walking about Edinburgh. Was a really good spot to stop and the freshly squeezed juices were great! We ordered two chicken and bacon sandwiches with a serve of sweet potato chips and the whole meal went down a treat! The only negative was there was a little bit of wait for what seemed like a relatively quiet service period

2 nights we stayed in Edinburgh and both mornings we had breakfast at brunch and supper. Fresh, hot and very tasty we absolutely loved it! The iced caramel latte was amazing! And the bacon and egg bagels fabulous. We’ll be back!

The breakfast burrito and full breakfast were both really nice. The coffees were good and my iced latte was delicious. The staff however just didn't seem to know what they were doing, there were clearly tables wanting attention and not sure if the staff meaningly ignored them or were just being silly! They seemed to congregate behind the bar and simple tasks such as giving people menus or paying bills seemed to be really difficult for them....I never understand how servers can just walk past tables who are obviously in need of something, especially as it wasn't busy. Anyway the food was good so I will probably come back but hopefully service will be a little better.

Visited this restaurant on Saturday night using a wowcher deal.

We arrived for an early evening dinner to a simple and quite spartan restaurant, typical of the street food outlets that have sprung up all over Edinburgh. The menu is almost Scottish, uncomplicated with several unusual dishes, best but not necessarily for sharing. Each dish is individually prepared and served when ready. The presentation is good, portions are ample and the taste excellent. Service is outstanding - friendly and attentive, enthusiastic, smiling and helpful,and the final bill, a pleasant surprise.

Lovely brunch. Had the french toast with bacon and maple syrup. Good pot of breakfast tea (needed more milk) and orange juice served in a mason jar.

Dined on a wet saturday night but really glad we found this place. Food different from the norm and staff very nice. Would recommend the haggis as a must have. Nice wine at a reasonable price. Well done

Came on a Itison voucher and found some of the food really good but some really bland. Best dish was the haggis croquette but then the shredded beef was tasteless. Fries were surprisingly bland as well. For me it was a bit hit and miss. Service was good though

I had an prison voucher for sharing plates and wine which I used on a Saturday night. The food was delicious and the house wine was very drinkable.

Very well filled toasted sandwiches, but the bbq beef was 50% fat and the coleslaw a very odd texture. Service was terrible.

We had been here before but only for brunch/lunch so this was our first visit at night and it certainly didn't disappoint. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The food was amazing and we will definitely be paying a return visit.

This cafe is located just off the Royal Mile in Edinburgh. It is primarily a brunch cafe but is now serving dinner too. We turned up at 12:30pm on a Sunday and were able to get a table immediately. Our brunch of a full scottish breakfast was big and delicious, and came with traditional scottish additions of haggis and lorne. We went for a big brunch and got exactly what we came for.

I visited this cafe recently and their staff was so friendly and gave wonderful service - very quickly as well. I ordered eggs Benedict and mango juice and both were fantastic. The staff were very helpful, and the cafe had a nice cozy atmosphere. (I got two eggs Benedict, but I ate one before I took the picture)

My partner and myself had the most utmost privilege to have dinner here tonight, we had various Tapas all of which were absolutely outstanding, a real treat to the tastebuds and the eyes, I’ve been a vegetarian for nearly thirty years and have ate out at many many establishments but tonight beat any flavoursome dishes I’ve had in the past , my Partner too who’s a big carnivore was also blown away by the quality and taste of the varying tapas, the Staff and restaurant are lovely too and we were made to feel comfortable and at ease, it’s not if we return it’s when we will return to this diamond of a find, can’t recommend food and service highly enough, big thanks we are regular visitors to Edinburgh and hope to have the pleasure of visiting again soon and tasting your amazing dishes once again ...⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Found this place by chance with my husband and daughter. It was very busy from the outside (always a good sign!) We were happy waiting for a table and were seated within 5mins. The waitress was very friendly and accommodating (she even found something to occupy my daughter so we could enjoy our food in peace - much appreciated). I had the chicken and bacon sandwich, it was filling and delicious. My husband had pancakes with bacon, a giant portion which my husband finished and loved. The coffee was also very good and beautifully presented. I can't wait to return and would recommend to everyone!

I've been to both Brunch and Supper. With Brunch, the breakfast burrito is delicious! I also ate at Supper with my partner. The sliders were amazing, the service was a little slow at times but the food and atmosphere more than made up for this.

Stopped by for a bite to eat unexpectedly came out knowing this is my new favourite brunch spot. Sandwich’s are amazing, service was top notch couldn’t fault it, Would return and recommend!!!

Recently visited Brunch&Supper; with my boyfriend and we were seated straight away! Waitress was so polite and cheerful too. Food was amazing, so much on the plate that kept us going all day! 100% will be back.

Went in today for a coffee and a cake. it was dead but still took ages to get seated. A surly waitress then came and wiped only half of the table we were sitting at, also covering me with anti bac spray in the process. It then took forever to have our order taken. A flat white which was on the cold side, a lemon muffin, cup of tea and a latte. The waitress forgot to bring the muffin originally so we were waiting ages. Went to pay for our drinks at the end only to be told by the waitress (once she'd finished snogging her boyfriend in the corner) that "we don't split bills" which was really inconvenient. Wont be back. ever.

We called in randomly on our way to the museum and found this great place for lunch! The food was just what we wanted and the service was top notch (everyone was friendly)

Visited here while visiting the capital. We liked the decor (apart from the gents cubicle door being broken....please fix!!), it was fresh and clean. Service was good and we got seated after a 10 minute wait. Wow this place is busy!

Visited this great little place on George IV Bridge tonight. I’d been before to Brunch and that was great but the food this evening was another level.

I have been here previously when it was just known as “brunch” several times and loved it but this incarnation is shadow of what was. Food took its time but we were in no rush. When it arrived the poached eggs were completely solid and the fried tomatoes completely tasteless. Both meals had avocado and both contained large bits of the skin. I had seen on Instagram recently the gorgeous looking brunch options this café offers so when we accidentally stumbled across it on a rainy day in Edinburgh last week, we just HAD to try it. We were not disappointed.

Thus restaurant is new on the scene, situated just around the corner from the Museum of Scotland and the Royal Mile. Quite small inside and it was very busy when we arrived. Staff are lovely and very accommodating. Lattes are big and good value, as were the childrens’ drinks. Food was hot and tasty. Breakfast, a good selection of sandwiches, burgers, chips etc, all realistically priced. Will certainly revisit. Please sort the door if the ladies’ toilet, it wasn’t closing, only complaint.

Sitio muy nuevo donde probar deliciosas tapas de platos típicos escoceses pero con un toque gourmet precio aproximadamente de 5£- 7£- 9£ las tapas y platos . Platos con presentación cuidada. Pedí las croquetas de huggies y los mejillones, ambos platos totalmente recomendables. Probé una cerveza Ale birds and birds muy rica también.De postre probé una tarta de queso rellena de frambuesa. El trato del personal estupendo. Hay una chica española Leire que me recomendó y explicó los platos y la verdad que me hicieron la velada muy amena.
