Very good food and desert . Staffs are very good and friendly specially Prashit. His service and hospitality was very good . I have been to so many desert places but this one is really good.

Excellent food and pancakes. Served by Preshit with excellent service and smiling face. Would recommend everyone to try the sweets and food here.

Really enjoyed the food here at Coro’s. It has a cosy winter vibe atmosphere which is really nice when compared to other dessert places which only strive to be aesthetic. The food was indulgent and definitely hits the mark when craving something sweet. Prashit was excellent in discussing their best sellers and was able to make great recommendations. He was kind and very attentive. I would definitely go back.

The place is rather small but not the portion. Their pancake and waffles are huge! A bit top sweet for my preference but it still very yummy ❤️

Excellent service and food 10/10 honestly. I booked a table for me and me mum as it was her birthday and they surprised my mum with a happy birthday slate with mini chocolate cake it was such a nice surprise, also lovely lovely staff and food, mum had crepes with strawberries, cream, ice cream & chocolate, I had sushi crepes with brownies and strawberries & Reese milkshake, highly recommend thank you was lovely.

I tried the death by chocolate cake and it was really good, very moist and really for chocolat lovers! A Little bit of a wait to take our orders but once we did the food and drinks came quickly, overall it was a great experience.

The pancakes here are absolutely delicious, it was quite busy when we were there but staff were trying their best to accommodate everyone and be attentive, I reckon they would benefit from hiring another staff member to support the front of house team. Would definitely come again!

This cake is to die for!! No wonder why its name fits so perfectly (death by chocolate), it was so decadent and delicious. I will definitely come back to Edinburgh just for this cake. I must say, this cake is not for newbies as it is super sweet and I saw many people who couldn’t even it half of it, and even couple sharing it couldn’t get halfway … but this wasn’t my first rodeo so I was able to devour it myself😂 Great portion to price ratio, and the amazing taste is an added bonus!

We had Boozy Cow for dinner (next door) and decided to visit here for lunch after seeing their Death by Chocolate Cake on TikTok. Phwoar! It was the best chocolate cake I have ever had. Perfectly baked, perfectly moist and perfectly doused in probably too much chocolate! But I didn't die, which is a good thing! Staff were friendly and helpful too. Can't fault it.

Absolutely lovely. We found out about Coro on Instagram and decided when we came over to Edinburgh for the weekend that we were definitely coming here. Did not disappoint, staff were lovely and food was delicious. Only (non) issue was that they had run out of a few menu items. Would definitely recommend!

We got the Nutella bubble waffle and a Berry Bliss waffle and it was really good. Prasit was really nice and welcoming.

I love Coro the Chocolate Cafe! The interior is so cute and the chocolate theme is really nice. The ambience is really cosy and nice too. As for the food, we had the “Death by Chocolate cake”. I was expecting it to be overly sweet but it was delicious and the whipped cream helped to neutralise the indulgence of the chocolate. We were served our cake by Prashit who was super helpful so credits to him! A great place to try some delicious desserts in Edinburgh.

Came for my daughter’s 9th birthday and had a great time. So much effort was given for her and it made the visit special. Had the crepe sushi, fondue and the waffles and was all amazing and filling!! Staff so attentive and friendly. Highly recommend

Best pancake I've ever eaten in my life!! It was really delicious🥞🍓!!! The place is nice and in an excellent location but the service is quite confusing. As I was a tourist and it was the first time I went there I didn't understand much, in fact when I went to order at the cash register I didn't know that you had to pay immediately and it was my fault. there was a bit of a queue because I had to go back to the table to get my wallet. I liked the fact that you could get unlimited fresh water, maybe here in Scotland it's normal but in Italy they even make you pay for a glass of water because they never give you tap water. Super recommended even though the prices are not very cheap

The S’mores cookie & Death by Chocolate cake were exceptional! The gooieness of the cookie dough with the toasted marshmallows was sinfully delicious. The Death by Chocolate was so rich and creamy.

Not nearly as good as the hype, very dirty tables, floors etc. Slow service, staff didn't really seem to know who had booked and who hadn't, waited 20 mins for the chocolate cake (tasted like a cheap defrosted cake), then the milkshake took another 15 mins

We’ve been to Coro on a busy Sunday and then on a chilled Friday and I think it was better during the weekdays since it wasn’t as crowded. The food is actually amazing. We ordered a crepe and a waffle (both topped with Dark Belgian Chocolate, strawberries and milk chocolate flakes). I highly recommend the waffles, they were so fluffy and delicious. The team members are very nice and kind, honestly, I would go back again just because of this.

The food is nice and a generous amount. However, this is not the place for new moms or toddlers. There is no baby changing space/area. They staff allowed us to change only inside the toilet, where the toilets are very small and not much cleaned. So, my husband has to hold the 2.5 month baby, and i have changed the diaper. While my baby was in an extremely uncomfortable position. I don't blame the staff, but it is something that should be highlighted to the management about this place. The strange fact is in Scotland, we say that we allow breastfeeding everywhere, I wonder why no one highlights this issue in most of the restaurants..!!!

The cakes (Death by Chocolate Cake, Ferrero Roche Cheesecake) were fantastic and the portions were generous. However, the staff seemed a bit worn out. I had some concerns about the cleanliness of the place; something felt off. It also really needs some renovations, as it appeared to be poorly maintained. I probably wouldn’t choose to dine in again, but I might consider ordering takeout.

Terrible service. 2 days in a row they didn't have the Cake by death we had reserved for. Had to wait 1 hour for our tea, which we then no longer wanted due to another activity, for which they did not want to give the money back. Which we had indicated when ordering and reserving the table. Everything is added to the order by hand, unfortunately we did not experience it as very hygienic. A shame, because expectations were very high after all the Insta stories.

Nice concept on the other hand we piss off the waiters so much that we want to leave we feel downright uncomfortable for having dared to enter the store and disturb their peace... plate thrown on the table, no answers to the questions… we are forced to pay before normal otherwise we would have run away!

Working as a Barista myself I always like to try new places for coffee. Popped into Coro yesterday when I was in Edinburgh for the Blue Man group. Tried their Mocha, wife had a Tea...oh my god! It's to die for. Wanted to try another place for a different coffee, but Coro's was so good, we popped back before going home for another one, and tried the Death by Chocolate and the Fondue Dip. It just got better from there. They don't skimp on cream, chocolate is great, fresh fruit for the dips, and staff lovely and knowledgeable. It's out new favourite place next time we visit. 5*****.

Food was good - not as spectacular as I’ve seen on IG and a huge calorie bomb, but very good. The café itself is cute, but needs some upgrades on cleanliness. The glasses for water were dirty and the toilet looked like public train station toilets. Staff was nice - especially the cute girl who just started that day. She apologized a couple times because she wasn’t familiar yet with the registry but she was soo sweet and kind.

Long waiting time for food. Just next to the entrance, the window sill is full of rubbish from the previous day. There is no ventilation, and the smell inside is overwhelming. All of our clothes smell terrible of burned food. The staff was wearing dirty aprons from a few days ago. I left with the head ache because of the smell. The food was average. Pancakes' texture was rubbery and gummy. My boyfriend is making better for breakfast. I'm not coming back.

I visited this cafe with friends a few days ago. The food was nice and tasty, but we had to wait for more than half an hour for our food, including drinks. The whole atmosphere was ruined because the cafe was really understaffed. There was only one person in the kitchen cooking food and drinks during peak time at the cafe. It's a shame that the management doesn't hire more people required for this busy cafe.

Worst service ever! It's a shame because the desserts are delicious, but they act like they're doing you a favor, they're rude and intentionally ignore you. I've given it three chances and bad service is a culture there.

Best dessert place in Edinburgh city centre! New decor is lovely since the refurbishment. Kinder Bueno milkshake was one of the best I've had! We often come here for a sweet treat when in Edinburgh. Very well priced and lots of options for both sweet and savoury. Very much geared towards creating your own which I love. Would highly recommend (I'd also recommend booking, especially during the festive season)

You cannot fault the food from this place it is absolutely amazing and definitely worth the hype! However there was this one poor blonde girl who served us (she was very welcoming and nice). It was only her making the desserts/ running around serving customers by herself for about 40 minutes. I think this place needs to treat their staff better as the girl then had to explain to a man why she didn’t have time to clean something and he seemed to have something snarky to say back. She was literally ran off her feet with no help. I hope someone higher up sees this and has words with their other staff because i felt so sorry for her.

Cool place, good music and good feel to the place. Service was fine, friendly. Unfortunately we turned up at 20:30 wanting a dessert, but they were out of most of them, so our experience wasn't what i expect most would get. We just ordered a hot chocolate. Tasted really great, however was very expensive for the amount you get so bare that in mind.

We were there on Friday, experience was absolutely amazing, the food, the ambience, but especially the young lady we dealt with Katie. She is an asset to any company. You are so lucky to have her, we will definitely come back

Cant actually comment on food. Today we arrived at around 2.30 no one acknowledged us eventually someone's did and they where not very pleasant there was 7 of us and it did look busy however she instantly said no to many you need to book and we are full anyway today. Checked online and I could book for 7 at 3.15pm or at 4pm so this was falsely told to us that you were full all day. Quite disappointed we decided not to book and went elsewhere as we didn't feel welcome

Food was ok but over hyped. Service was not good. We were sitting for 50 mins before all food came out and drinks took the same amount of time! The staff did not seem to be in much of a rush to sort this or care when we asked what was taking so long. No napkins, metal cutlery or glasses for the water available. I would be disappointed if I was the owner and staff were making such a hash of a good concept.

Went Here with my friend for a sweet bite and we were received with such kindness! Staff is incredibly sweet, the food we ordered was very tasty, and fairly priced considering the big portions. 100% reccomend this Place and big thanks for the great service ❤️

When I arrived it was clear they had been very busy, ended up waiting to be seated for about 10mins, but the manager was amazing offered me a free coffee to make up for the wait. Ordered the death by chocolate cake and it was simply outstanding. The staff are lovely and the food is stunning. Highly recommend.

4.3⭐. We are international travelers. We came across this dessert shop by chance on the road. The menu is simple and not too complicated. We saw a few unfamiliar words about dessert here, but there was no problem. We ordered the free combination, which was American waffles *Pancake XL 💰£7.99 + Raspberry coulis 💰£1 + Strawberries 💰£2.15 + Dark chocolate shavings💰 £1 Not bad, piping hot and not dry. Even at the same price, I prefer plaid waffles. But to be honest, one portion for two people would be too little, so we filled our stomachs with delicious desserts. In other aspects, the decoration is not bad, with a literary and youthful coffee shop style, and there is also an attached toilet. Note: Cash, credit card accepted, no service fee. 20240803

My daughter wanted to stop for hot chocolate so we got take away. The workers were so kind and the hot chocolate was absolutely amazing! I recommend to anyone who wants to have a nice meal with a wonderful view of Edinburgh Castle.

I had a terrible experience at Coro. Firstly, it took a long time to get seated, despite there being plenty of free tables. Secondly, we were told there were no cakes available, yet we saw other customers order the Biscoff cake. The much instagrammed chocolate cake was actually unavailable. Finally, to top it all off, we ordered our food, and there was no sign of our order despite waiting for 45 minutes. We eventually left after seeing other customers being served despite them arriving well after us. The entire experience was terrible start to finish. Would not recommend.

Me and my Girlfriend popped in at the start of the day, because we have only heard good things about Coro ! The food was delicious, and the hot drinks were stunning. However, on this day there were no cakes, and the Milkshake machine wasn't working ! One of the staff members told us it would be about a 40 minute wait, but after an hour and a half we had to go elsewhere ! The ONLY reason I'm leaving the review as a 4-star is because it just so happened that my enticement was the cake, and my Girlfriend wanted a Milkshake. But we settled for a Trio of Chocolate Fondue for 2, and some hot drinks 😊 Now, with that said, the staff were extremely hospitable, and they met our requests entirely, and the addition of a free water station was a welcome sight after devouring all the chocolate that we did 😋 Overall, I would highly recommend Coro and I will definitely be coming back.

There were two tables available but the refused to let’s us sit! British guys come after us but they let them sit ! In this place We faced racism because we are Arabs.

My visit to Coro was an absolute disaster. The service was beyond terrible, with staff showing a complete disregard for their customers. Having to wait a full 45 minutes for a single table to be cleaned, especially with multiple empty tables, is unacceptable. This place is a waste of time and should be avoided.

Worst service I’ve ever experienced in a cafe. My friend and I booked a table in advance, having visited several times to your last location. We arrived around 5 minutes before the time of our booking to be stood beside the kitchen / food preparation area where 3 members of staff were standing and not one greeting us or said they’d seat us soon. Another few customers came in behind us and commented on the lack of acknowledgement also. My friend then had to approach a member of staff after waiting around 10 minutes, the staff member had been back and forward filling up the water dispenser beside us and still had not said hello, when my friend asked if we’d be seated or if we were to just pick a seat she told us she’d be with us in two minutes and continued to go back again to fill the dispenser. She told her colleague with the pony tail we had a booking who then turned and stared at us then saying to the 3rd colleague “APPARENTLY there’s a booking” there was nothing apparent about the booking as we’d booked through your booking link online and just made us feel unwanted and uncomfortable. There was no friendly welcome or nice atmosphere atall. The member of staff who seated us did tell us it would be a longer wait due to staffing issues to which we waited around 30 minutes. During our wait a customer came in asking if she could get a table and the pony tail staff member again spoke to this woman in a very dismissive manner. Food was great and could not fault it but would be reluctant to visit again with the standard of service. Do not mind waiting for food when there’s staffing issues but having worked in customer service/hospitality and eating out atleast twice a week I know what is an acceptable standard of service and believe a warm welcome at the very least would have went a long way.

Vastly overpriced, had to eat with takeaway utensils. £30 for 2 desserts a late and diet coke. Won't be back.

I visited Coro cafe and felt like i had to leave an amazing review! The service was top standard. My wife and i really enjoyed the cookie dough and the waffle. I felt really taken care of by Amy who was nice and efficient.
