Dropped in before leaving Edinburgh, the wife had chocolate brownie, I had egg & beacon on 4 pancakes 🥞, and a drink each. 👍 Only comment would be that the cup of tea was really small.

it was fairly busy when we first arrived, so we made a reservation and returned a few hours later. we were seated and given menus, and then waited about 40 minutes to have our order taken - and that was only because I flagged down a server, who seemed entirely surprised that I was asking him if I could order. it was not particularly busy by this point, and several other groups of people were seated, served and had finished up in the time it took for us to even be acknowledged. I was also entirely ignored when I went to pay, and a busy staff member had to prompt someone to take my payment after 10 minutes of standing at the counter. the food and drinks were excellent when they arrived, good portion sizes and good prices, loads of options too — but I would not wait that long again for it.

I'm sorry to say it but not great. The service was no good and for a chocolate cafe the amount of chocolate on the crepes was pretty singy. The crepes themselves were thick and heavy like pancakes. Wouldn't recommend, especially for quite high prices. One positive note: the coffee was really fantastic and the baristas were very friendly and polite. The best part of our visit.

I have been a loyal customer to Coros for a long time now and i absolutely love it the food is fantastic as well as the quality and service.

Had an amazing time today. We had the sharing fondue with three types of chocolate and could not fault it. The staff were all lovely! We will definitely be back. Best start to a birthday day out !!!

Went to Coro for dessert this afternoon and was very disappointed overall. The staff was nice enough but very slow, and the food itself was completely average. We will not be back.

I got the chocolate cake with ice cream. The cake was, frankly, rubbish. Cake was tasteless, I think it was gluten free or vegan or something, but it was lacking/missing something. The vanilla ice cream was the same, tasteless and gritty, not at all smooth and didn't really melt that easy. I think Asda's own ice cream would be better. The chocolate sauce was pretty good though, but that really shouldn't have been the highlight

We wanted to try the thick Italian hot chocolate but it's a weekend special, so had the Belgian milk hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows. It was lovely and smooth. The Death by Chocolate Cake looked incredible and tasted amazing. We couldn't finish our slice. Service was friendly but a bit slow. Apologies were given for the delay and we would return

Came here for Valentine’s day with my partner during our stay in Edinburgh and it did not disappoint. My partner got a cookie skillet and I got the death by chocolate cake. The portions were huge and they were definitely very generous with the amount of melted chocolate on top of the desserts! The staff were lovely as well. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Edinburgh, can’t wait to try this lovely café again 😊

Ordered a delivery, pancakes arrived packaged upside down so everything had leaked everywhere. Called Coro and they said they had been busy, was told to raise the issue with the delivery company and phone was put down. Awful service.

I ordered the make your own waffle with strawberries, Oreos and Belgian chocolate. The waffle was a little bit dry because there wasn’t a lot of Belgian chocolate on it. You should definitely get a little more melted chocolate for what you pay for the topping. Otherwise staff were friendly!

Lovely desserts, tastefully decorated and presented. Our very first time, son’s friend from UoE mentioned the place, and it’s truly delightful. He has the pictures ! ( Dearh by chocolate cake & XL stack of fererro rocher pan cakes ).

A couple of months ago, I dined in at Coro and ordered pancakes with nutella and some other stuff, lovely presentation and taste but found like 3-4 strands of blonde hair, did not make an issue, just casually let them know when I found them, they were polite enough to offer a fresh one. I refused because I did not want anyone to be in trouble because of it. Fast forward today, ordered the same pancake and guess what I found, you guys seriously need to start wearing a CAP! SORRY.

People say it's one of the good places, and it was really fully booked! I was so excited to give it a go! However my experience earlier today was so terrible! I was patiently waiting for my order in which was LATE for just over 50 minutes! the point where the two tables nexts to me were served though they came after us! Post 50 minutes of being patiently waiting, the response was that my order disappeared from the system! Yet none of the staff have checked on us during that time! Such a terrible experience! To be fair, the quality of the food was good and I liked it, however the TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE today have ruined our experience! And my mood! So thank you but I don't reckon that I will ever return to such a BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Sat for 15min, dumped in a corner with no menu and forgotten. When no one came to take our order we left. 6 staff on with as many tables so not a case of being busy! Atmosphere was very uninviting.

Lovely little find on our first day in Edinburgh! Nice food, nice option for a smaller portion. Was a little pricey and when we went very quiet with no music this made the atmosphere a little odd.

I've probably never given a review this bad. I've been a customer since there was a Coro near the botanic garden, many years ago, I used to go there with my best friend who no longer lives in Edinburgh. The last time I was there was in October 2024 and I already noticed a fall in business, although I thought it was maybe they were just having a bad day! This weekend my friend came to visit Edinburgh and we went to Coro on Saturday, our special place. From the moment we walked in everything was different. A group of 4 people walked in ahead of us and weren't seated, despite there being free tables and no reserved sign. Strange... We had booked in advance and the guy at the door (tall, thin man with dark hair) gave me the menus and said ''menus'' ''that table'' and he pointed to the table from the entrance and went back to his tablet, he didn't accompany us or anything, not what you would expect from someone who works face to face with the public. We sat down and after a while a girl came and we told her we needed a couple more minutes and she left, very nice, she was great. 30 seconds later the man from the beginning arrives and with his tablet he asks us for our order...we tried to tell him to give us a minute but he simply ignored us and asked for our order again. One of my friends was ready so she ordered. I don't understand how this man is facing the public because his social skills are -10. The order didn't take long to arrive, the truth is that the only thing that was acceptable were the pancakes with bacon and egg that one of us ordered. The other 3 orders, which were waffles, were simply disastrous. I'm going to put a photo with an example on the left of what I ordered the last time I made at Coro in October and on the right what I received on Saturday, being exactly the same order. The photo says it all... Each extra sauce costs £2, the extra strawberry £2.95, those 2 pieces of poorly made waffle with missing dough cost £6.95, I paid almost £14 for something that could have been made by a 3 year old child, not by supposed dessert professionals, you only have to see the photos on their Instagram. And not only the presentation but the quantity...and the quality of the product...disastrous. We didn't say anything, in the end this is not the fault of the staff but of who hires and trains them, that's why I decided to put this review. On the other hand, now there is a kind of self-service area where you can get your cutlery, glasses, etc. but it is empty and you have to be bothering the staff because they don't answer you in a nice way. When going to pay, Mr. Nice guy also tells us on the dataphone that if we want to leave a tip...NO. I felt disappointed and as someone who has worked in the hospitality industry for many years, I felt that the management/owners no longer care about this business anymore, because I don't understand how it can change so badly... They need to train the staff and, above all, choose them well! Afterwards, I read reviews and I'm not the only one who thinks this way, the reviews in general are horrible, a shame because you have a place with tremendous potential!

We found it by accident and had fun! Expensive indeed, but I don't think you will find such nice sweets anywhere else in Edinburgh. 27 euros for 2 sweets. Death chocolate is incredible!

Abbi served us and she was extremely delightful, and Coro is my go to whenever I’m craving a good hot chocolate! Totally recommend the Belgian Milk chocolate with all of their toppings.

Love this place, been here for the 4th time today for my sisters birthday and they brought her a little brownie on a tray saying happy birthday it was so sweet 🥹 can only recommend. (Btw we already ate the brownie by the time I took the photo)

After seeing this on Instagram we decided to check it out while on our Hogmanay visit. Staff left us waiting around by the door without acknowledgement for several minutes. Before a guy walked past us, gave a table a quick wipe and finally asked us what we wanted. We asked for a table for 2. Said guy, grabbed a couple of menus, slapped them down on the nearest table and walked off. So I'm left thinking "this menu better be good". Well, it wasn't worth the treatment put it that way. We walked out, and went next door. Honestly, you couldn't pay me to eat at Coro's.

Very tasty cookie dough with hot chocolate... I like it. Unfortunately there are only 2 stars for the ambience because in the depths of winter the front door was open the whole time, so it was very cold inside. Still recommended and would love to come back

I visited this place on a Sunday morning, and while they kindly squeezed us in despite not having a reservation, the overall experience was a mix of highs and lows. The place was quite busy, and we had to wait a long time just to get the menu. Unfortunately, the service felt sloppy, with extended waiting times for both ordering and receiving our food. I tried their waffles with Nutella, but the dish had far too much Nutella, making it overwhelming and difficult to enjoy. On the bright side, their Berry Bliss was exceptional—a perfect blend of fresh berries that was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. It truly lived up to its name and was the highlight of the visit. While the service needs significant improvement, I would recommend visiting to try the Berry Bliss—it’s worth it!"

I have come to this place many times and always delighted! This time we were served by Prasmit, who was super nice and helpful! A 10 ✨

On entering you are immediately hit with the smell of sugar-but this is the reason you come to Cora. Staff were prompt & friendly on our visit at 3pm Wed in Dec. A hot chocolate came with some toppings & tea was accompanied with a small biscuit. An order of a savoury crepe was a surprisingly good serving, hot & arrived promptly. Salad garnish was dressed, plentiful. Very limited savoury options and the crepe was overly sweet for me for being savoury but fluffy & filling. Sad that at £3 for a herbal tea bag, the water came in one of those tiny metal pots that scald you. More water would have been nice instead of a small cup. The front room is nice, cosy but we were taken to the back room which was cold & put us in mind of a canteen. All sweet treats looked generous portions. If that is your thing-this place might be for you! Not ideal for prams & several steps to enter.

Went here on a whim, didn't realise you needed a reservation to enter. Got told off for taking a step past the please wait sign - I just wanted to see if there was a table free before I wasted my time! Then we were made to wait another 10 minutes just for them to come up to say they're fully booked... Maybe just say that at the start?

The absolute home of chocolate!! We are there twice during our staying in Edinburgh. At first,We had the big fondue of chocolate which was really delicious but not so big for its money. The second day we had a death for chocolate cake and a sushi crepe.Both of them fantastic! You have to try it for sure if you never be in the capital of Scots! Really enjoyed the food here at Coro’s. It has a cosy winter vibe atmosphere which is really nice when compared to other dessert places which only strive to be aesthetic. The food was indulgent and definitely hits the mark when craving something sweet. Prashit was excellent in discussing their best sellers and was able to make great recommendations. He was kind and very attentive. I would definitely go back.

Excellent service and food 10/10 honestly. I booked a table for me and me mum as it was her birthday and they surprised my mum with a happy birthday slate with mini chocolate cake it was such a nice surprise, also lovely lovely staff and food, mum had crepes with strawberries, cream, ice cream & chocolate, I had sushi crepes with brownies and strawberries & Reese milkshake, highly recommend thank you was lovely.
