Excellent fresh food. Lots of variety. Full of locals. They have all types of sandwiches and pies, coffees, teas, snacks, beautiful fresh breads and dipping oils. Lots of tables to sit at. This place is super busy but fast. You can get food to take away, or sit down and eat. The staff was amazingly efficient and friendly. I highly recommend eating here.

Best steak pie I’ve had. The crust was buttery and the pie itself was filled with meat, not bulked out with potatoes etc (in fact there were no potatoes). My children had a large croissant and they must have enjoyed it for they asked for another. The ambience is rustic and easy going. Staff are helpful and efficient. I’d highly recommend this place for a filling and delicious lunch.

We stopped here as part of a tour of the Highlands and Sterling Castle (cruise excursion) on the recommendation of our guide. Not to be missed. Both the savory pies (we had steak) and fruit pies (we had apple and cherry) were divine. Sandwiches and other desserts were delicious as well. Ran into a local who said she had to stop herself from coming all the time. Well worth any queue, priced reasonably as well. If you’re anywhere close, highly hilghly recommend.

We stopped here on a day tour of the highlands and picked up sandwiches for our journey. Out of our week long trip 2 of us say the pastrami sandwich was the best of our trip. the bread was incredible. the sandwiches are pre made and that is because the line never stopped out the door. I had the salmon croissant and found the avacado to make it a tad too mushy, yet still delicious. This bakery has to be award winning, we all got some sort of sweet as well and it was incredible

Absolutely delicious food in a casual setting. Not cheap but well worth it. Tried the filled baquettes, filled croissants, steak pie, mutton pie, bridie and sausage roll (not all on one day and not all eaten by me!). Every single product was exceptional. We also tried the empire biscuits and wow they really set the bar high on these. The place is busy from morning to night. We could see the ques forming in the morning from our hotel room before the place opened!!

Decided to go for a coffee in Callander and discovered Mhorbread. Had a long wait for our order which turned out to be completely wrong. Then had another long wait for our original order Table was dirty and no one came to wipe or clean it. Thought this was an absolute essential these days. Overpriced and will not be back. Absolutely delicious and good value. The sandwiches are enormous and the pastries excellent. I had a cherry strudel which measured around 6 by 4 inches and was lovely. Hubby had a mince pie which was small but he really likes them so was delighted to find 2 in the bag. The tea room is not traditional quaint little tablecloth spot but I like the funky vibe. The loos were spotless but unisex as a found when I startled a male user. I see that a few negative reviews mention the cost but I live in England and this is not expensive compared to most non chain cafes I visit. You get what you pay for.

Bought two tomato and mozzarella subs (to take away) and a loaf of olive sourdough. Sandwiches were ok, but not worth what I can only assume was around £8 each. We had a lunch here. They offer seating in side and they have a few bistro sets outside where you can enjoy their baked goods. It was busy but service is fast. There is no table service you order and pay at the counter. We had 2 sandwiches one tuna mayo and one avocado and turkey. Taste was good for the tuna one. The grilled turkey was ok, they put a little to much lemon juice on the avocado. That was a bit too much. The bread we had was sourdough. It needs some chewing. Can’t say it is stale. But it needs a chew. Breads are 7-8 pounds each so not cheap. But they are not small. And fill you up pretty well!

We opted for takeaway as it was a busy lunchtime. Daughter and I opted for steak and gravy pies - now if I lived anywhere near this I would go in every day for one of these, packed with tender meat and beautiful gravy... WOW. And as for selection of cakes, excellent. The staff were very pleasant and efficient and it was very busy. Plenty of choices for rolls as well, but many had sold out and they were trying to make more. But, I would always have a pie!!! My mouth is watering thinking about it now.

I visited Callander for a stroll and lunch and was tempted by the window of this lovely bakery. I was served by a lovely gentleman Robbie who I assume is the manager. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. He recommended this wholemeal seeded loaf which is the best bread I have tasted in this country and keeps very well. It was nutty and so tasty. I don't know if I should be telling people that the sausage rolls are huge and to die for aswell. Extremely tasty hot or cold. The croissants are the extra large and lovely. They have a large range of cakes ranging from meringues of all different varieties to carrot cake, millionaire brownies, apple pies, buns. The list is endless. I also bought chicken and leek pies which were delicious and noticed they had a variety of steak pies. steak and haggis pies etc. All in all I spend a fortune and must say worth every penny. For a place that prides itself on baking good local produce, using a mainstream global coffee brand is really disappointing and staff training seems lacking in coffee making with a flat white like lava and too heavy on milk so effectively I’ve just got a burning hot latte. Service was lacking with one of the staff actively ignoring people while the lad seemed to struggle on his own with just a flat white and Americano order. Whilst the cakes looked okay, none were particularly special, though I can’t comment on taste as we didn’t fancy trying any on first impressions. We wanted to buy a sourdough loaf, but they were sold out.... and although we were disappointed this doesn’t impact my review, as it’s totally understandable to run out by mid afternoon. I’m not normally one to give bad reviews and usually give the benefit of the doubt, but when you’re promoting a premium brand and charging extortionate prices for your products and accommodation I’d expect an awful lot more than this. In all honesty, and I feel bad about this, it was the biggest waste of a 44 mile round trip to visit here alone and was one the worst coffees I’ve had in a long time - we threw both away after a few sips. All in all it’s a no for me on the Mhor brand.

(Sorry there’s no photo of the brownie - it didn’t last long enough!)Carnivore husband was equally as happy with his local ham and cheese sourdough baguette and “rock slide” brownie. Stopped here on our first and last day thru this way on our road trip through Scotland. Was here both times to Scotland before. This place is the best bakery restaurant around! We tried their toastie this time – so good. You cannot go wrong with any sandwich combo they put together. The Bread? Absolutely amazing. Pastry and croissants? Delicious. This place gets more crowded than any other in the town and its worth the wait. The only thing is that their chicken and leek pies this time was very disappointing after the last couple of trips. It seems that the recipe changed, and they were drier, they used to be creamier. Disappointing, but not enough to not try more of their menu offerings, which were spot on. I recommend you try this place if you are in the area.

I visited this Monday afternoon (16/09/19) and I had an experience which was VERY uncomfortable! I would first like to say that I have been to Mohr Bread many, many times and adore the place. This trip was very uncharacteristic. During our visit to the tearoom we were served by a lovely young lady who was ever so quiet. However, throughout our visit this server was constantly being told off (loudly and for no apparent reason) by another server and the lady behind the counter. This made for a very uncomfortable lunch! Upon going to pay my bill at the counter she was then very rudely told off again in front of me, in what can only be described as bullying in the work place! The poor server looked as if she was about to burst into tears. I understand she may be a newer member of staff but to treat any staff in this way, especially in front of paying customers is wholly unacceptable! I was made to feel uncomfortable and the lady behind the counter seemed more interested in shouting at this server than sorting my bill. For fear of making the young girl very embarrassed and escalating the situation I held my tongue at the time. Despite my utter disgust at what I was witnessing! The behaviour of your two staff on Monday afternoon was inexcusable and I will now reconsider coming back.

Stopping during a trip to Scotland we went to this shop/cafe on a recommendation about their pies. The pies are tasty and with a nice thin crust but could possibly have just a little more gravy. The premises unfortunately are sadly in need of attention. In the cafe the paintwork was chipped and the door into the kitchen chipped and dirty., There was a very random selection of tables and chairs, which when done properly can look nice, but this just looked shabby. The motor cooling outlet on the refrigerated cabinet was thick with accumulated dust. The menus needed replacing as they were quite soiled and worn and the staff need instruction on when to change their work clothes. One male assistant was wearing a really dirty black apron and had blue latex gloves on that were ripped around the thumb, which was not covered. In the shop the display labels need replacing as they are looking very sad.

In Callander on a bitter, icy day. Tempted by Mhor’s Bakery window display - great breads and pies. Cafe was really cosy. Friendly service. We had the mushroom, leek and truffle oil soup which was delicious - one with sourdough bread and one with a warm cheese scone. Really enjoyed it all. Lovely coffee too. Would definitely recommend.

Good quality bread! In Scotland! I often complain about the quality of the bread in Scotland but Mhor bread is great!

I wish we had one of these near us. The products were amazing. A great selection, and the service was great. We tried a few things, but the steak pies were really great.

Had a light lunch there with our daughters family for a light lunch, food and service was good but there is no childrens menu which made it awkward.

Really nice local shop, with an attached cafe. There is a great selection of bread, pies and cakes, all made to a very high standard.

Nice friendly place to eat. Pies are really good, particularly enjoyed the steak and haggis pie. Very family friendly, small place to sit but also good for take away.

Thank you for a lovely meal last night, chicken stroganoff tasty and tender . Husband had babotie- tried some and had such delicate flavour, gorgeous. We were 30mins away but definitely worth the drive round , would recommend you try it . And should mention guy serving us, Mike I think, offered a warm & welcoming visit.

With a few global giants nearby this independent knocks them for six in terms of quality and value. Recently reopened, post covid closure and I urge people to support this and other independent businesses, but only if they deserve it as this one clearly does. I had a bacon and a square sausage roll for breakfast and both were lovely. Returned on my last day for another bacon roll and had a couple of takeout rolls for later on the long train ride back home to Birmingham. Nice staff, nice place, deserves support. Recommended.

We have enjoyed visiting The Aizle many times over the past several years for both soup and a toastie or tea/coffee and cake. The staff are always friendly and efficient but the main attraction is the cakes which, although pricey are absolutely delicious. We had visited in May and had two teas and an americano coffee with hot milk and of course the cakes. Unfortunately, when we went there at the weekend, it is now apparently the practice to charge extra for the massive expense and effort involved in steaming a spoonful of milk to have with the coffee which means that a small cup of americano coffee which costs £2.65, presumably with cold milk, now has a surcharge of 75p, making it £3.40. We visit many restaurants and cafes and no-one else makes this additional charge so it really seems like greed. We won't be back.

Beautiful little place serving tasty coffee & a fabulous menu. We only had scones which are freshly made & super tasty but I would prefer clotted cream not squirty cream. Friendly staff & fab decor & comfy seats. The window display is beautiful
