No 2 Baker Street in Stirling

Been here twice in the last couple of weeks. Staff are really pleasant and helpful. Food is standard pub fare but perfectly ok. Nice atmosphere too.

I had just finished painting, and with the doors and windows closed it smelled quite a bit of paint. Even so, we had some really good fish and chips.

Went for dinner, was a good full pub, lots of life and atmosphere. Found a table and received table service, even when I was not expecting it at all. Waitress/bar staff took drinks and food orders at the table, and was prompt to return with both. Food was pretty decent, drinks were good. I ordered the Chicken Balmoral, which was really nice. I’d go back and recommend for sure.

One of our favourite pubs in Stirling for the food, atmosphere and staff. Always enjoy our lunch and wine there. It's not too big and always has a nice feel.

Great pub in Stirling to sit outside with the dog and enjoy a pint, unfortunately a few times I've gone past and no tables outside so went elsewhere.

Great location and nice interior but we had issues with both our drinks. The ale had an abnormal amount of sediment in it and the coke tasted very off. If it was just one I would have asked for a new drink but with both being bad we just wanted to go elsewhere.

Hi guy's, had the pleasure visiting yesterday with my wife,just popped in for a couple of drinks ,the two girls that were on shift are a credit to you,unfortunately didn't catch their names,they were friendly, welcoming ,and it has to be said even in quieter moments they found something to do,whether stocking,cleaning or just a friendly chat,them two girls are keepers, definitely be back 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Some good pub food, but a little hit or miss Came here with a couple of friends and ordered some small plates to share. Overall, the food here was definitely better than average, but a few things like the burgers were a let down. Chicken karage, nice tender chicken with a good crunch, the sauce was OK, ut sort of tasted like bottled teriyaki sauce dumped on and didn't quite meld with the dish. 7/10 Calamari, this dish was actually really good, tasty fresh squid, tender and worked well with a sinple side of lemon, 8/10 Fried halloumi, another nice dish, good crunch and good flavour, 8/10 Pigs in blankets, the pigs were good, the blankets were good, the marmalade sauce on top was nice enough, but didn't quite blend in the way the karage didn't work, 7/10 Hummus, very nice simple dish done well 8/10 Burger and fries, not great. Burger meat was clearly a frozen mass produced patty, had that plastic-y texture and little flavour. Ordered an extra side of onion rings and got three (3). 4/10

Great proper pub with delicious looking food (we didn’t eat) , a good selection of ales, and super service from the lady in charge and her staff . Fit the bill for our group for a few beers after a day of golf before heading for a curry …. and a return later on where the live music and friendly locals finished off a great day . Well worth a visit .

Dropped in for lunch (4 of us) after visiting the castle and old town. Menu had lots to pick from. We opted for 2 burgers, a toastie and a steak pie. Food wasn't too long in coming, considering how busy the place was. Couldn't fault the food, it was great, would definitely go back

Read reviews on Tripadvisor for No 2 Baker Street so decided to give them a go .Glad we did .Friendly welcoming staff ,excellent food and good value for money .Definitely will return if ever back in Stirling .

No. 2 Baker Street is a fun and energetic pub located close to Sterling Castle. We stopped in for a late-afternoon pint and relaxed for several hours. We did not dine at the pub, The pub is cozy and was jam-packed with locals (which is always a good sign). A nice location to relax and unwind after a long day.

We had a fab night here! Great food, great service from Val, Nicola and the team and the bwst night out I have had in ages. Can't wait to come back!!!!

Best place in Stirling! We kept coming back just because of wonderful this place is. The food is absolutely delicious and the staff is so friendly! Plus the prices are extremely reasonable for the amount of food you get. Make sure you try the fish and chips and calamari starter!

Delicious, lovely servers and fantastic beers! Even though they were pretty full they had availability for two walk-in. What an absolutely lovely surprise when their food was spectacular! Lovely beer and the service? Even better! We loved every minute!

Had the beastest meal here with my friend...I had chicken Balmoral. And my friend had the Steak pie...both were awesome...was lovely atmosphere. No loud music..been couple of times now

Had lunch on Sunday, was fairly busy but staff found us a seat and were very pleasant. It had a gluten free menu which was our main reason for visiting as GF restaurants can be limited. Can't fault staff, menu or ambience. Worth a visit

Wonderful place to walk to from Stirling hotel. Great seating and atmosphere. Be careful when ordering the breaded fried Scampi two people in my group ordered it and we're disappointed. Fish and chips were awesome.

Bit more expensive but amazing food

This place is rated way too high. It’s fine. Service was insanely slow, took an hour to get two sandwiches. Food was fine. Sandwiches were bland and lacking filling. Other food looked much better. Would not rush back.

Very nice pub with delicious and cheap food. Perfect for a short stopover. The fried fish and the chicken wings were really delicious. The only thing we didn't like was the Mac n Cheese. The staff was super friendly and also very child-friendly.

Absolutely lovely! We had fish and chips with mushy peas and bread and it was wonderful. The entire place is charming, from the staff to the warm haven of wood floors and the bar. It was walkable from the train station and we were so happy to enjoy ourselves there.

Ate at this place twice and as someone with a major gluten and dairy sensitivity they're best in class. Not only do they have a clear menu, but they also have more dessert options than just Sorbet. For those with sensitivities, you'll know how rare that is. The food, specifically the burger was excellent as was the dessert. My friend with no intolerances said their normal menu and food was fantastic too. You'd be hard pressed to find anything better for the price. The only negative is since it's so good, it's popular. I wish they'd hire at least one more person to help relieve their hard working folks. To get food fast, just order it at the bar. Edit: Restaurant responded and I believe misinterpreted. The service staff will tell you to order at the bar for quicker service because they often don't have enough folks to service tables. If you wait for your table to be serviced instead of ordering at the bar as recommended by the service staff, you'll spend a lot more time waiting for food. Once your food is ordered, it comes out quickly. It's just getting it ordered that takes long if you don't know to order at the bar as recommended by all of the staff we interacted with during both of our visits.

A typical place with very good food. When we went it was very full, which made the service very slow although the impression was that the kitchen couldn't handle anything more. Abundant dishes and pleasant waitresses. A refuge after a cool day seeing Stirling Castle.

Came in for a bite to eat. Got our nip of drink and then waited 1.5 hours for our food, finally asked about our meal and they never sent it to the kitchen! Waited all that time for nothing. Missed out on our afternoon light. Pardon me but disappointed to say the least

I've been on a bit of a Steak & Ale Pie tour, as I travel through the UK. I've ordered the dish at 3 different pubs in London and 2, so far, in Scotland. No 2 Baker Street was the best by far. The service and atmosphere were also great.

Went to go there for lunch and there was three greasy looking guys power smoking cigarettes right directly in front of the entrance doors. One with a scorpion neck tattoo. So appetizing. So inviting. 🙄. So disgusting. Had a feeling like at least one of them might have been management or worked there by the appearance of their comfort level. Turned right around and left. Would do zero stars if I could.

Lively bar that's clean and well stocked with pretty much anything you'd want. I visited when there was live music. He was very good. Staff are excellent. They dealt with another, rude customer in the most patient way while I was waiting to be served. He left in a huff and they continued work without batting an eyelid. You can sit outside during the daytime in a very pleasant atmosphere.

Not good food, very rude treatment from the staff and... rip-off on the final bill. Without a doubt the worst experience of the entire trip to Scotland (actually the only negative one, because the Scots are a wonderful people).

Came in on the 3/9/2024 with my hubby. Place was nice and busy and cosy also very clean . Staff immediately interacted with us chatting away and so friendly. We had sandwiches which were so fresh and tasty. Val and her team were very attentive and asked if every was ok. Perfect location and ambience within the bar and restaurant been here a few times and will definitely be back. Thanks Val xxxx

First evening in Scotland, we were just wandering down the street looking for some place to eat. The lovely atmosphere of No 2 Baker Street just called us in. We were greeted by a friendly staff and great food recommendations. A-MA-ZING. And very affordable!

We came here on a recommendation from our lovely cab driver that drove us to all the sites in Stirling during our day trip. We had an hour until our train back to Edinburgh, so he told us how to get to No 2 Baker Street for a pint. We walked in and the gentleman in front of us seemed to have waited a while even though it wasn’t busy. After 5 min of us waiting, he got frustrated and left. We waited another 3 min, but the bartender just stared at us and walked to the back. As we tried to figure out what to do next, she came out and just sat at the end of the bar, next to the other bartender and stared at us. So I’d love to rate the beer and food but we never got served unfortunately. Luckily, we walked across the street to Brewdog, where the service and food were fantastic. Highly recommend going there instead! P.S. Another couple that was walking into No 2 Baker Street while we were walking out, showed up at Brewdog 5 min later so I’m just assuming she didn’t like to serve anyone … such a shame

We went there by chance. A very classic pub with very rustic, very Scottish dishes. We were able to see cricket on the screens but we didn't understand anything.

Very nice place, in the heart of Stirling. Super friendly service, they even spoke to us in Spanish. And we also ate very well, the potatoes and the sandwich with meat in sauce were delicious. At 8 p.m. they did a culture quiz. A point of place, we were super comfortable there.

Really lovely place to grab lunch, 3 ladies running front of house, they were clearly rushed off their feet but were so polite and never made us feel rushed. Mac and cheese and the burger were excellent!

Lovely place to sit for food and drinks. Staff were friendly and nothing a bother. Hubby and myself had the katsu chicken burger, wow it was delicious 😋 drinks were nice and refreshing I had a Aperol Spritz hubby had beer. Not a long wait for food or drinks. Staff were attentive asking if we needed more drinks, if the food was ok and clearing away empty glasses and food when done, brilliant service! The toilets were clean, lots of seating available outside for the nice weather. Would definitely go back again and would recommend a visit.

Great place ! Delicious food , I had the Belhaven steak & Ale Pie and a pint of Kowabunga . One of the best lunches I had in a while . Great atmosphere as well , 5 star service , the tables and place in general was very clean and looked after , totally recommend.
