With a few global giants nearby this independent knocks them for six in terms of quality and value. Recently reopened, post covid closure and I urge people to support this and other independent businesses, but only if they deserve it as this one clearly does. I had a bacon and a square sausage roll for breakfast and both were lovely. Returned on my last day for another bacon roll and had a couple of takeout rolls for later on the long train ride back home to Birmingham. Nice staff, nice place, deserves support. Recommended.

We ate breakfast at Dempsey's Diner more than once and felt instantly at home in Scotland. I would go back just to visit with the three ladies who run Dempsey's, but besides being instant friends, they put out an amazing breakfast. I had haggis for the first time in my life. What a thrill. If you want to instantly feel at home and have a pleasing breakfast, there is no better place to go than to Dempsey's!

I came in here one morning as I was really early for my train. I had a doubler roll and a latte and it was £4.40. Can’t argue with that. The roll was nice not greasy at all Great warm welcome and you get asked if you want a soft or crispy roll - nice touch. Would come back definitely There is a few tables as well to sit in and have your food

Myself and Alison, my wife have been going there about after a long run, weekly since last year for breakfast. and the quality of food is matched only by the quality of service i.e. excellent! Their omelettes are second to none! The place is cosy, couthy, and most welcoming not to mention the generosity of the staff and great value for money.

Popped in for breakfast with my wife. I had the Scottish breakfast, she had a fried egg roll. First time she has ever been asked if she wanted a soft roll or a crispy one! Very nice food and terrific value. Will visit again.

Lovely little diner within yards of the rail and bus stations. Full of character, well stocked with a decent array of food choices. Friendly and keen staff make the place pleasant to eat in and oh yes the BEST BREAKFAST IN TOWN BY FAR both for taste and value,

Every now and then I pop in to get a can of juice or a coffee before grabbing the bus to work (they are situated across from the station). However during my last visit after realising I only had a £10 note the woman behind the till was very rude and awkward about me paying with this. She seemed to deliberately take her time (2-3 minutes) to to give me the change, counting it out slowly 2 or 3 times. She was perfectly friendly with me until I apologised about not having any change. Having worked in cafes before I can appreciate that from a business point of view this can be annoying especially if you are low on change. However I felt that the behaviour was extremely rude and unprofessionla and I was left feeling quite embarassed. I won't be going back anymore.

A great find just diagonally across from the Stirling railway Station. Food is honest and tasty and at a very reasonable price. We visited Stirling for 3 days and had breakfast here on the three days which speaks for itself. The staff are very friendly and pleasant and on ordering a Cappuccino I was asked if I wanted sugar, I said yes I take a lot of sugar and low and behold the coffee came tasting perfect. They do a wide variety of Scottish food and it's tasty. Don't pass this place by if you are hungry or just want a snack. Go for the roll and sausage, it's devine!

Went to Dempsey's and to be fair it was clean and tidy. The staff were ok and I ordered a skinny breakfast to go. The nice lady then placed the food in a takeaway container (in record time) and left it on the side and then started my toast and once my toast was done made me a cup of tea. I then walked to my car which was parked some 50 yards away. Upon opening the container I discovered that sausage was burnt and COLD! The egg and beans were barely warm, probably due to the time spent sitting waiting on toast and tea. This was a real shame and all due to poor timing. Very much doubt I'll return and I'm local. Wanted to give s local business a chance but they are clearly not up to the job. Would recommend a sausage and egg mcmuffin just around the corner

Firstly I just have to state that I'm not a fat middle aged man and that I'm in my twenties and female. Twice this week after doing a hard shift at work I have visited this Diner and the Cheeseburger were fantastic and very filling. Funny how below it said something about processed or so? Bullcrap. Customer service is fantastic and the ladies are very polite and chatty with the customers. Will be back again for sure.

My partner and I were looking for somewhere to have a quick bite to eat and made the mistake of going here. It was one of the most disgusting meals I've ever had! After browsing their menu, I thought the Mexican burger looked tasty so went to order it...but they didn't have the ingredients to make it apparently. Slightly disappointed, I decided to go for a cheese burger instead. When it arrived, the mere sight of it almost turned my stomach. This grey coloured, grease soaked meat was sticking out of the roll with a cheese slice slapped on the top of it. Feeling hungry and not wanting to waste food, I bit into it and almost broke my teeth on the rock hard roll they had served me. My partner forced his down out of hunger, certainly not out of enjoyment. Looking around at the other diners to see if they were experiencing the same ordeal as us, I was greeted by the sight of overweight, middle aged men chomping down on equally greasy food. It said it all really. If you're looking for processed rubbish and clogged arteries then by all means check this place out but we will certainly not be returning.

Came in here for lunch as it looked quite busy with people coming and leaving. We were surprised when we went in and no one was sitting down until we realised half of the tables had dirty plates sitting on them. After moving them from the only table big enough for the four of us, we were unable to get staffs attention for a wipe to wipe macaroni off a table so resorted to taking a semi-used napkin from a plate. Stood in line for 10 mins for some very simple rolls, the staff could use time better between servings. Overall the food was basic, tasted alright and prices were good.

Popped in for a coffee while waiting for our train. We came away from this small café with an overall good impression. The customer service was excellent. We were impressed with the friendliness and efficiency of the lady serving us and also impressed with the other lady working away in the background the whole time we were there. So much better than staff standing around chatting and ignoring customers. Top marks ladies.

Dempsey's Diner is a small, cosy assortment of happiness and surprise. Stumbling upon this marvellous diner I was astounded at the prices! Never did I think I would get a Sausage Sandwich for under £1.50 in such a central location! All of the staff were as helpful as can be! The staff were quiet but sometimes I feel that adds to the ambience of the American diner/log cabin feel to the place.I would 100% recommend this place - marvellous is among the array of word I would use to describe this place.

I'm not sure what happened between March/May and now but when I visited today I found the staff to be almost unpleasant and not in the least helpful. Won't return there. My 3 year old needed to get to the toilet and when I asked The member of staff about toilet facilities she barked at me like I was crazy, didn't even offer to direct me to a toilet or suggest where a nearby toilet would be and her colleague was absolutely no better. Their attitude was abysmal.

Looking for somewhere to lunch. Toss up between subway and MacDonald's. Went to subway but big queue and no seats. Headed back to mcd and saw this place. Nice enough food which was usual cafe fare with very reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and seemed to know their locals orders.will use this before mcds or subway in the future as much better value and healthier options too.

A group of 6 of us were visiting Stirling and after a few drinks the night before we fancied a McDonald's breakfast. On the way there we saw this little cafe and thought we would try it out. I'm a glad we did. We all got different variations on breakfasts. We were served quickly and the food came out hot and nicely presented in good time considering the size of our group. We asked for specific things and the people working were happy to oblige. Not sure whether they are the owners or not but they were definitely polite and happy to help. Great portions of lovely food and the cakes looked amazing! However I was full from my breakfast. If I am ever back in Stirling I will be sure to come back!

Glad I got over the fact that this place used to house public toilets. When I walked in, it took a few minutes to get served but she was clearly busy through the back doing work. Polite and friendly staff. All the homemade cakes looked so good I wanted them all. Had to pick one but will be back to try the rest. Ordered an egg roll and was surprised that there was a choice of roll (soft or crispy), choice of seasoning and of course the option of butter.Excellent value for money. All I wanted was a sandwich and I couldn't be bothered with overpriced food from elsewhere. Was on my way to the station, gave the place a chance and sure was not disappointed.Would quite like to try their hot food.£2 for an egg roll and a peppermint slice. Cheaper and far superior to my previous local favourite. Service superior as well. Will definitely be back.

We have enjoyed visiting The Aizle many times over the past several years for both soup and a toastie or tea/coffee and cake. The staff are always friendly and efficient but the main attraction is the cakes which, although pricey are absolutely delicious. We had visited in May and had two teas and an americano coffee with hot milk and of course the cakes. Unfortunately, when we went there at the weekend, it is now apparently the practice to charge extra for the massive expense and effort involved in steaming a spoonful of milk to have with the coffee which means that a small cup of americano coffee which costs £2.65, presumably with cold milk, now has a surcharge of 75p, making it £3.40. We visit many restaurants and cafes and no-one else makes this additional charge so it really seems like greed. We won't be back.

A bit rustic for me - average food in an average atmosphere room - fine but a little underwhelming - needs a bit of love and care to get over the tired feel. Very welcoming staff
