Wild Pancakes in Highland

Fantastic to have so many GF options to eat. We both opted for GF pancakes with bacon and maple syrup and a coffee. The coffee was perfection and the pancakes utterly delicious. Big, fluffy and just THE best find in Inverness! Thank you ❤️

Was really looking forward to going here. Got there before 9.30 and there was someone at every table but many spare seats. We were immediately told there was no room and we'd have to wait outside. I explained that I couldn't do that as there were no spare seats outside ( very few) and I couldn't sit on outdoor seats due to my impairment difficulties. He just shrugged, so I asked if we could wait inside on the two empty seats near the door. He said ' no that's not allowed'. So overall we never got to taste the food and we left feeling rejected. It's a shame - so many unused spare seats due to lack of planning in thinking about optimising space, plus a staff member who clearly wasn't welcoming.

We visited this place just before heading home from Inverness. It’s truly a hidden gem that you might miss at first because it’s tucked away on a side street. The pancakes were delicious, and the coffee was excellent. The staff were very friendly, and the food was reasonably priced.

Found this place our first moring for breakfast and went back everyday! Everything we tried was amazing. Dont miss out on this gem in your travels.

So so so happy we choose this place for breakfast for 4 adults and a toddler on our recent staycation! The server (younger boy/blonde hair) was fantastic at his job ! Lovely mannerisms, coped well with it being a lil busy, didn't forget anything. Nothing was to much trouble for my wee determined/independent 2.5 year old lol !! This is so appreciated! On to the food which was also amazing! They don't scrimp on the toppings, so i feel this makes the price fair. Huge selection of herbal tea! What a great experience ! Thank you

After a morning walking around on a cold and rainy day in Inverness, I discovered this gem. Their gluten-free pancakes were honestly the best I've ever had. With so many choices, I finally settled on the topping of cinnamon and marscapone. It was simply delicious and beautifully presented. The coffee was also excellent, as was the service. It made me so happy and ready to tackle the changeable Scottish weather for the rest of the day. Can't wait to go back!

While visiting Inverness it was an absolutely gorgeous day outside and we were looking for coffee, breakfast and to sit outside. We were certainly not disappointed by this pancake shop. The cappuccinos were delicious and the pancakes were unbelievable. I got the bacon and maple syrup pancakes, others got the lemon cheesecake crepe and the sweet potato pancakes. Everyone was very happy with the quality and taste of the food and experience. I strongly recommend!

My partner and I stopped here for his birthday lunch as he loves pancakes. I had chocolate & strawberry pancakes, and he has maple syrup & bacon, accompanied with a latte and hot chocolate. Wow. It was incredible. Pancakes were fluffy, chocolate was amazing, strawberry’s fresh and the whipped cream that came with it was AMAZING! The drinks were also incredible. Cannot recommend this place enough. Will be coming back!

I live outside of Inverness so don't always get the chance to go into town and check out new places.I popped in for a quick coffee the other day with my Mum but as we were walking in I spotted that the restaurant closed at 3pm (3.15pm as we were arriving) I apologised and told them I just realised they were closed. They right away welcomed us and said it didn't matter that we could stay.We didn't plan on ordering food as it was just a quick visit and we had not long eaten but a lovely lady came and told us they were closed Monday and Tuesday and wouldn't be able to use the rest of their pancake batter. They then proceeded to make us two huge boxes of pancakes and gave them to us for free!!! Not only that but they then came out with a tub of cream and berries. So so kind of them. Will definitely be back again and for sure will make a trip into town just for more pancakes, they were beautiful!! Owner so kind and lovely staff!

Delicious pancakes and great coffee, there is a savoury menu too if sweets aren’t your thing. The staff were very friendly too, we will be back!

Stopped here for brunch and the banoffe pancakes were amazing! It was a nice little cafe. I would recommend!

Wonderful fluffy pancakes - we had the maple syrup and bacon which were delicious. Our daughter had the chocolate Panama and peanut butter stack which looked fab too. Staff very friendly and service was efficient

Pancakes are fine enough, but unfortunately it’s far to expensive for me to make a return visit. If the prices were more reasonable I would definitely return, but nearly £12 for two pancakes and a coffee is just too much.

Stumbled across this lovely little place and we were delighted with the food, the ambience and the staff. Menu gave plenty of choices and we wern't rushed out as soon as we finished our meal.

Family run organic pancake cafe. I ordered pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Wow they were so light and delicious. An extensive sweet and savoury pancake, crepe and waffle menu. I would highly recommend at least one visit.

Love Love Love this place. Whenever we are in town we ALWAYS come here. It’s a hidden gem and everybody I’ve recommended it to also loves it. You never come away hungry, the atmosphere is lovely and the staff are the best and no requests is a problem (especially with my fussy kids). If you haven’t been then you don’t know what you are missing.

we have visited before and enjoyed their awesome pancake stacks and waffles but this time we went for the rustic vegetable soup with organic bread and butter. It was super hot and full of veggies and chick peas. Bread was lovely too. We will definitely be back for more soup now too.

The best pancakes stack I’ve ever had and I’ve eaten pancakes all over the world. Great find, will have to go back to Inverness soon! 100% the best in the UK. Very light and fluffy with great taste and texture. My sister had the gluten free ones and loved them too.

Came back to Inverness after 22 years. The Pancake Place has closed down. However found this cosy little place. Chose bacon and maple syrup Pancakes stack. Pancakes were very fluffy. Good balance between sweet and salty. Excellent!

Ambos pedimos el sabroso panqueque de queso y jamón que venía con una pequeña ensalada y crema fresca que costaba casi 10 cada uno, lo que pensamos que era bastante caro para lo que nos sirvieron. Desafortunadamente, los dos estábamos muy mal después de comer aquí y no volveremos.

This place is fab fab fab..... Pancakes are delish Hot chocolate is delish atmosphere and decor was delish canny wait for our next trip up north to pop back in and try more of the goodies on offer.

Die Waffeln waren zwar auch gut, aber die Pfannkuchen waren sehr gut. Relativ teuer, aber es hat sich gelohnt.

Happened upon this place by accident. It only does pancakes, crepes and waffles but they do them really well. All organic and made to order. Only a small place with a tiny kitchen but it was very busy. Great choice of sweet and savoury and also good coffee and interesting organic soft drinks. If it was not closed on Mondays and Tuesdays we would have gone again! Would definitely recommend.

Im Rahmen unseres Stadtbummels in Inverness fiel uns dieses nette kleine Pancake-Restarant auf, sodass wir hier unseren Mittagshunger stillten. Glücklichweise war bei dem schönen Wetter einer der wenigen Tische im Außenbereich (zwar direkt an der Straße, aber der Autoverkehr hielt sich in Grenzen) zu ergattern.

Ein einfaches kleines Restaurant mit leckeren süssen aber auch salzigen Speisen und zwar nicht nur Pancakes. Die Bedienung war freundlich, schnell und hilfsbereit, das Essen sehr lecker und hübsch präsentiert. Alles war das Geld wert .

Great Crepes...organic food...a bit expensive but worth the price. Had a lovely efficient server. Bathroom facilities too. Recommend it.

We came upon this Church St. restaurant accidently and were very glad we did. It's cute and quaint and served the most wonderful organic pancakes, waffles, crepes and homemade soups. I ordered the Pancakes and Berries and thought I had died and went to heaven. Coffee was good too. The lady who took/delivered our order was sweet and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant, which is very near The King's Highway Wetherspoon on the same side of the street.

Wirklich lecker und frisch (man wartet etwas länger aber das tun wir gerne wenn es dafür frisch und lecker ist). Ambiente unspektakulär aber das Essen wirklich so gut das wir nochmals hingehen während wir in Inverness sind.

We kwamen hier toevallig langs onderweg naar een ander restaurant en besloten toch hier te weten geen spijt de pannenkoeken in waren lekker.

Hier hebben we vanavond lekker (Amerikaanse) pannekoeken gegeten. Ik had maple siroop met bacon, smaakte erg lekker. Het was helaas te veel voor mij

Don't waste your time reading the bad reviews! Pancakes are amazing. Yes you wait a bit for them but everything is freshly made and well worth the wait. Staff are friendly and polite just very busy. Highly recommended

Great little place, super busy but quick turn around. Loads of choice with some brilliant flavours. I ordered the chocolate and banana stack... spot on! It was actually my 2nd pancakes of the day but I just couldn’t resist!

That last review is so rude! This place is lovely and the pancakes are soooo beautiful. This was my first time here today and i will be back. I didnt fancy 4 pancakes and they were more than happy to do a half portion for me. We visited around half 2 where we got a table no problem.

I actually won a competition set up by the company, which already is great advertising, i mean who doesn't want some free pancakes?! I won a stack of pancakes of my choice, there was some great stacks to choose from, but i went for the Maple Syrup and Bacon stack, it didn't take long atall. Great service, really friendly environment, lovely little place to eat.

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Arrived at 1pm and was advised after ordering it would be a 40 minute wait. This was due to a takeaway order they took instead of looking after us their customers who booked a table at their restaurant. We agreed with the waiter that we would would go a wonder and return in 40 minutes instead of waiting it out there (how boring). When arriving back we were then told that even though there was a table free, we would still have to wait a further 40 minutes.

I had mentioned this place a few times when we've been up visiting family in Inverness and when I refused to make pancakes on pancake day it was agreed we would try this place. There were a couple of tables free and it was pointed out there was a half hour wait, which would be expected in my opinion if you want fresh made pancakes, no different if you go to Baxters of Fochabers. We had the pancakes with maple syrup and bacon and also one dish with chocolate sauce and fresh strawberries and cream. I think they cost about £8/9 which some might think is expensive but they are organic and you get four more than decent sized pancakes. The one with bacon came with a good number of rashers. We had coffee and hot chocolate for drinks. The pancakes are worth the wait, so fresh and light and even though I'd had no lunch the plateful was far too much for me and definitely worth value for money. Will definitely go again.

Very chilled and friendly atmosphere, but let me tell you about these A-MA-ZING pancakes. I ordered the chocolate and banana and man, I have never felt this way about pancakes before! The layers, the perfectly laid out banana slices, the pancake itself, the cream on the side! Highly recommend!

The place can get very busy, leading to a long wait before you're served so don't go if starving! But even if you are, it's going to be totally worth it! Crepes and pancakes are fantastically delicious! And the ladies working there extremely nice and friendly. Totally recommend.

A quirky little place tucked away at the edge of the centre of Inverness. Unassuming but surprisingly nice. The service was average, but their artist sweet potato pancakes were fantastic.

Four of us visited the pancakes were amazing. My only gripe is that our tea came long before the pancakes. A great place to go, allow yourself time as everything is cooked fresh and definitely worth the wait !!

To sum up: I took my 9 year old Son here for a treat as he has heard about the place online. We arrived around 1pm. The restaurant was fairly busy when we arrived. We were seated immediately at an empty table and our order taken straight away (really too quickly to have even read the menu). Our drinks arrived very soon afterwards. I thought this would mean that the food we ordered would be out very soon after, but sadly it took a full 45 minutes until it did. I was very close to walking out after 25 minutes but did not want to disappoint my Son so decided to stay. At no point did the waitress update on the delay and I noted that almost everyone else in the restaurant had at least as long a wait as we did. Anyway, on to the food. My Son ordered chocolate banana pancakes and I ordered mushroom soup and a fruit pancake. The soup and accompanying bread were inedible for me, the soup tasted like powdered soup and the bread was thick black bread - not a good combination. The pancakes were OK but quite bland, not very sweet and to be honest there was too much on the plate so I had to leave a lot of it. My Son did quite enjoy his but he said he found it far too much. A child portion would have been better, but it was not offered. So, to sum up, it was a poor experience and I would not return. I did comment to the staff about the long wait when I paid on leaving but they did not say much in return.

Popped in here for a bit of lunch with my family. The decor is interesting in a shingled wall and a lot of timber type way. It was quite inviting on a cold day.

This little cafe sells excellent fresh pancakes and great coffee. We were tired and a bit cold and the friendly welcome was just what we needed. We had lemon and sugar pancakes in a stack, with cream. Delicious!

Don't work too far away from this place, so finally got around to it.

We went for a late lunch with our 7year old. The menu and specials offered a good choice for us all. We had sweet potato pancake and cheese and ham. They came with a lovely side salad and Crème fraîche and were really tasty. We had a stack of pancakes for seconds and they were the best I have tasted in years. Light and fluffy and lots of fruit and sauce. Our wee boy cleared his plate and asked when we were going to come back?. Service was friendly and really efficient for cook to order food. We will definitely be back great food and great value for money.

My girlfriend and I stopped in for a treat while in the city centre, she is gluten intolerant so we were pleased to hear that is not a problem for pancakes. The service was friendly, the atmosphere was nice and relaxed and the food... well I like to think I’ve seen a few pancakes in my day, they were perfect! Not only in taste but in portion size also (highly recommend the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup). We will definitely be returning and recommending to our friends.

This place could be good except... Slow service, drinks and food came out one at a time for a table two. Table for two was too close to next table. My wife had nearly finished her pancakes before my very watery porridge arrived. Pancakes were good but everything else could be better.

Ce lo siamo trovati davanti arrivando dala Old High Church ed essendo ora di pranzo ci siamo fatti tentare dall'insegna e dal menu esposto. Si è rivelata un'ottima scelta: abbiamo mangiato bene e tanto! Il conto per un potato pancake, due zuppe del giorno e due pancake dolci (alla marmellata e al cioccolato) è stato di 30,85 sterline. Ve lo consiglio.

While walking down Church Street in Inverness we spotted this little café/restaurant. The menu posted was intriguing so we made plans to return for dinner. What a treat! Offering both sweet and savory pancakes, there was something for everyone on the menu. The portions were ample and the service was quite good. Chatting with the owner and chef, we discovered Wild Pancakes had only been open a very short while, days actually, yet they seemed to have everything under control. My potato pancakes were the best I've ever eaten. My dining partners had sweet pancakes and from their sighs and smiles it was easy to tell their pancakes were easily delicious. Don't miss eating at Wild Pancakes! Outstanding value.
