Costa Coffee in Highland

Arrived for a sit in coffee at 4.05 Saturday. Staff said they were closing shortly and we could only have a takeaway. My husband has advanced Parkinsons disease and badly needed to sit down. The server said we could sit outside however. After five minutes sitting outside another member of staff came out and said we would have to move on as they were shutting soon. We pointed out that we had been told we could sit outside. Five minutes later she came back and said we had to move on as the floor had been washed and for health and safety reasons we couldn't remain. The floor was dry!! I've never felt so unwelcome anywhere. Your staff were clearly desperate to be closed!

Today I had order a medium hot chocolate and received a small I understand that it was quite busy and mistakes are made I pointed this out to the lady with blue hair in a polite manner. I then received in a very rude tone “I will go check” she seen this was right. She took the small hot chocolate poured it into a medium cup and added more milk whilst she rolled her eyes. She added more whipped cream and banged it on the tray. I thought this was so rude and she shouldn’t be working there if that’s how she treats paying customers. All the other staff were so lovely even though they were under a lot of pressure so this lady with blue hair was quite a big let down.

Stood waiting for it to open, the ladies could see me and decided to wait for an extra two minutes before opening time?? Not sure why as they were just standing and watching me.

Staff were great, drinks came quickly, place was clean - will definitely be back!

Went as usual Sat morning . 9th sept CLOSED!@! Went again .Monday morning takeaway or cupboard cups and we're closing at 3pm. What is happening???

Older woman who is the manager is so rude, I am not sure how she got a job here. I am suprise this Costa makes money.

Saw some of the best customer care in ages here on Monday morning. Both members of staff were kind and considerate to their customers and cheerful whilst efficiently keeping things moving. It was a pleasure to watch. Coffee was good too!

Service was ok, staff could try smiling instead of walking about looking glum. Doesn't inspire great customer service feedback. Wouldn't have posted if at least one of the three assistants looked happy to serve. :(

It was a Costa, it was very much like the others in the chain

Some Lovely people work in this costa cafe . Travelled to inverness from Mearns and visited eastgate mall. Shawn and Daina served us , and not just a perfect flat white but a lovely chat and info about places we can visit in inverness . They wrote us places we can visit and now its on our plan for this summer . We promised shawn we will get him a present when we next visit to inverness in summer

Had coffee with a friend there recently. Great coffee and the staff were absolutely great. A perfect place to meet up with friends.

Don't be misled by the £1and £2 breakfast deals. Read the fine print. Cost me over £10 for two coffees a small sausage bap and 2 pieces of toast ( no croissants left and JAM COSTS EXTRA). Service was poor. No tray provided although the person on front was given one. They were behind the counter. (I use a walking stick.) Staff look disinterested in what they do. Won't return.

Our friends got married here December 2021. Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff, the food was great too.

Met my friend at costas in east gate shopping mall... Danni and Hannah were so polite, upbeat and helpful. Great service and lovely coffees... teas, juice.... and lots of cakes...

Not a good visit today... Service VERY slow. Sandwiches selection limited. Turkey and cranberry sandwich: bread so thin it couldn’t hold the filling together. Coffee only lukewarm.

On appearance seemed quite busy however once in, discovered just lot of tables not cleared, normally very clean but not so on this occasion. Coffee as always was good standard, staff friendly enough .

This review relates to the Costa Coffee located in the Eastgate Shopping Centre. Quick service. Empty tables cleared and cleaned quickly. All the usual Costa hot drinks and snacks. Enjoyable visit Recommended

Realmente decepcionado. Vinimos para un almuerzo mientras hacía compras navideñas. La cola larga habitual y muchas mesas en espera de ser despejadas (cada Costa que utilizamos parece reducir el número de empleados después de su renovación). ¿Pero dónde estaba la Navidad aquí? Solo dos pequeñas pegatinas de Santa en la ventana exterior, y no una decoración a la vista en el interior. Sin música navideña y sin calefacción. Hemos encontrado que este es un problema común en la mayoría de las costas, ¡pero esta visita fue realmente peor! El aire acondicionado estaba muy frío y muy alto: las pantallas de las lámparas se movían en las corrientes de aire. Todos estaban sentados acurrucados en chaquetas acolchadas, fue increíble, nada acogedor ya sea Navidad o no. ¡El ambiente era horrible y nos sentimos aliviados de irnos, de regreso al calor comparativo del exterior! ! !

Solo llegué allí debido a que Starbucks era muy pobre, en realidad era muy bueno allí, muy oscuro podría tener una mejor iluminación, las bebidas eran un buen personal agradable, mi costa local podía aprender mucho

Coffee was good but could have been hotter, it goes cold too soon

It was right next to the train station at Inverness, was well kept and clean everyone was helpful carried my coffee to the table for me very helpful much appreciated.

Place just got a complete redesign! The new place is more modern, spacious and lighter. the new place feels much more brighter and comfier. Coffee is great and staff are friendly as usual

Great coffee at the best coffee place in town. Great selection of sandwiches cakes etc. The staff are friendly helpful and hardworking. Brilliant

... but not more: the cappuccino and the black coffee were quite ok but not as strong and powerful as in Italy - so the Italian touch is more on the walls of the cafe than in the cups :-) , the cakes were tasteful.

If you're looking for Costa in Inverness, the Eastgate branch, by far, makes the best coffee. Just goes to show that in these 'copy and paste' corporate coffee shops, it's all down to the staff.

Best coffee I've had in a long time , comes very close to Coyote Coffee , would definitely recommend cappuccino with caramel flavouring ❤️

Such a busy venue that always takes forever to get served and then find a table due to its popularity. Try the other Costa that is only 200 / 300m away, it is smaller and not as busy.

We often stop by this costa for a coffee and a catch up and usually there is nothing to write home about. Last visit my girlfriends father ordered a medium sized coffee while my girlfriend and I both had small. When we received the coffees they were the same size, but the medium was in a larger glass. Very deceptive if you ask me. I appreciate that mistakes can be made so we didn’t feel compelled to confront any of the staff about it.

We ordered 2 latte and 1 toasted sandwich, this took around 20-25 minutes before we sat down with our order. Also a big gripe Im afraid but i had to go to the counter to ask someone to come wipe the table and the girl behind the counter tried to pass me the cloth. Almost laughed out loud and needless to say as I stood still in shock the girl took the hint and came round to clean the table.

Good coffee. Had to stay in a queue for 5 min. I guess it is huge traffic. It is possible that you wait and there is no place to sit in.

New winter roast is really nice

The staff were very helpful here as I was in excruciating pain and being disabled they bought my tray tae the table and enquired if I was alright. I said when my painkillers settle would be O.K. I must say a big thanx tae em all and well done. The food was warm and washed down with a lovely hot Latte, plenty of seating with subdued lighting certainly made it frae me. Cannae say much bout the pain though.x.

Great coffee, amazing ambience..

We visited cafe today, and the dark curly assistant, removed my coffee, while I was at the toilet. My husband was reading the paper, and did not notice, there was a quarter of a cup left. We visit this cafe quite often, and have noticed the same person going round tables and removing cups and plates, as soon as people put their cup down. I think this is very rude.

Best Costa in Inverness, brilliant coffee and cakes. Staff always friendly and helpful and like a good blether, they go the extra mile. Shop is clean and tidy and you can’t fault that. This is my go to place!! Keep up the good work guys 👌🏻

Fast service - efficient and polite in good clean shop. Found this the normal reliable Costa standard. Outdoor seating as well.

Better than Starbucks that's for sure

A very busy branch of the chain (soon to be taken over By Coca-Cola - and just in time!). Overworked staff - only one barista coping with multiple involved orders. Result - lukewarm, tasteless liquid with a touch of foam on top masquerading as a cappuccino. Foodstuffs all looking tired. Clean toilets. Bet bet - go to Café Nero.

When doing some shopping in Inverness we went here for a coffee. We both had flat white coffee’s that were good. Efficient service by friendly staff. The cafe is kept in a clean condition.

Good coffee, cakes are a bit pricey but nice. Nice place to sit and chill while the wife shops.

Ordered 2 lattes and 2 raspberry muffins, in my opinion it's very overpriced for what you get especially the raspberry muffin

Always very busy, and sometimes areas get blocked off a bit early, but the drinks and food are very good and the staff seem to manage to remain cheerful under the pressure.

I love Costa coffee. Disappointed in their vegan cake. The paradise slice was to die for.... the oat thing... not so much.

This is a good, clean branch of Costa Coffee, located right in the Eastgate shopping mall in Inverness which is right by the train station. Service is reasonably fast, which is often not the case in coffee shops of this kind and they serve the usual range of cakes, pastries, muffins, toasties etc that always come fresh. It is a friendly cafe and we would return here.

Better than expected... We do have Costa in Singapore too, but this was actually our first time chilling at Costa. Will check out Costa back in Singapore too!

I visited recently with an adult with learning difficulties. The staff were understanding, patient and friendly. Thank you! Central location. Plenty of seats. Busy place but you don't feel crammed in.

Popped in here for a snack whilst awaiting a train.Perfectly acceptable cheese & ham toasties for the lads, but think the classic selection of sarnies at almost £4 is overpriced as they're titchy tiny wee bites.Absolutely adore the caramel fudge frostino which is basically a liquid dessert for the sweet - toothed.Certainly seemed to be a popular venue and was a lot larger inside than it looked initially and had a good choice of seating.
