Popped in for breakfast the lady and girl were both lovely. Hubby and me both had the small breakfast which you pick 5 items from a list on the menu. We also had toast a green tea and a black coffee. The food was very tasty not a long wait for drinks, a bit of a wait for the breakfast 15-20 minutes (which the lady did say to us) but we weren't in a rush so was fine for us. I would definitely go back here.

This cafe not big but have very comfortable chairs near a round table and nice not noisy pop music. I ordered soup of day - butternut squash and sweet potato, classic potato, sponge cake and coffee latte. Soup of day were a little bit spicy, despite the fact that the waiter told me, that the soup is not spicy. Soup were tasty. Classic potato served with melted butter and cheddar cheese. Simple and tasty. The piece of sponge cake and coffee latte were tasty. Simple taste food. Thank you.

Was out for a walk in Inverness and suddenly fancied a Burger and Chips, I went to The Red Pepper and boy was I glad I did. This was the best burger I have tasted in years and also chips to die for. Would highly recommend and will definately be using again. Price was good with 2 burgers and chips to take away coming in at just over £13.

Used to love this place when it was on Church Street. First time here since they moved. Wasn't impressed. Asked for a bacon roll in brown and was given it in white. Didn't bother complaining as I wasn't really too bothered - like both. However, when paying I was asked to pay considerable amount more than what was written on the menu on the table. When I questioned it I was told that 'eat in' prices were more. If this is the case why not have the 'eat-in' price on the table menus then put a smile on our face when charged less when 'taking away'??

Watery hot chocolate, rocky road with soft stale tasting biscuit in it, a panini where the filling was still cold and cheese not melted, seating area was cold and the crowning glory of a very dirty toilet. I cannot abide dirty toilets and this one had clearly not been cleaned in several days, the sanitary bin and toilet brush holder were both thick with dust and hairs and the toilet was stained. First visit and will 100% be the only visit.

My friend and I stopped here for breakfast as the place looked good and did a cooked breakfast for £4 which was excellent value - or so we thought. Two breakfasts, one potion of toast between us at a £1, a cup of coffee and a can of diet coke came to £14, meaning that the can of juice and tiny coffee were a fiver. On arrival, the breakfast looked okay, but the bacon had been reheated so much it was inedible and snapped in our mouth. The sausages were so cheap and nasty, completely lacking meat and overheated. Such a disappointment, avoid for breakfast!!

When I first arrived I was a little put off as the ventilation wasn't great and the room seemed a bit hazy from cooking (it has a relatively open plan kitchen and fixed pane windows). I'm glad I stayed however as the owner was very friendly; chatting to me and my son. The Victoria sponge was lovely and fresh, and prices were very reasonable. We spent a happy half-hour with tea, cake and toys.

Little disappointed when we ordered baked potato for two a tea and a coffee. Had added up cost only discover that it was £2 dearer than menu. When we quizzed why dearer told 50p surcharge per person for eating in. Along with 50p surcharge for small amount of coleslaw and tiny salad they put with potato. No mention anywhere in cafe or menu regarding these charges food was nice but need more clarity regarding these extra costs.

Soup, panini, a cake, coffee and a coke £14. I may as well have gone to a proper restaurant. The cafe was scruffy and the staff too busy chatting with mates to notice that there was sweeping up and clearing to be done. Also, I don't like having my table sprayed and the window ledge sprayed with anti - bacterial spray when I am just about to eat. The young man sprayed so much it got in my mouth and left an unpleasant taste. All his spraying didn't really clean the window ledge as he didn't move the ornaments.

The Red Pepper is the nicest cafe in Inverness. The staff have been there for many years and are on first name basis with most of there customers. I work nearby and go there every day for my lunch, normally one of their lovely soups. I always have one of their coffees on the way to work and prefer it to the stronger tasting variety's available in Costa's etc. They also run a 'coffee club' where you get a free coffee after every 5 purchased, very handy if you are a regular!

Arrived for a sit in coffee at 4.05 Saturday. Staff said they were closing shortly and we could only have a takeaway. My husband has advanced Parkinsons disease and badly needed to sit down. The server said we could sit outside however. After five minutes sitting outside another member of staff came out and said we would have to move on as they were shutting soon. We pointed out that we had been told we could sit outside. Five minutes later she came back and said we had to move on as the floor had been washed and for health and safety reasons we couldn't remain. The floor was dry!! I've never felt so unwelcome anywhere. Your staff were clearly desperate to be closed!
