Caffe Nero in Highland

Googled where was cafe nero in Inverness as I go always in Edinburgh, service was terrible (there was none) 4 staff behind the counter chatting, no one acknowledged I was even there, one customer being served though I stood waiting thinking what's happening here!? Was met with an arrogant tone when I asked is this the only cafe Nero in Inverness as very different to edinburgh... Much training needed!!!!

The floor was very dirty. There was not enough heating. And the coffee cup was not well washed.

I ordered Italian salami sourdough toasties for 3 - £6.65 each via Just eat. Salami on those toasts wasn't fresh. It was smelly and inedible so I had to put it into the bin to not risk a food poisoning and I asked for the refund. I've been told that Restaurant Partners have their own recipes and cook in an individual style, so the taste, smell and portion size of a dish can vary depending on where I ordered it. Excuse me but what kind of individual style is serving expired meat to someone who spent around £20 on it. Saying that I'm disappointed is like saying nothing. Will not buy a thing in that place as I can't trust this place anymore

Don't go in the morning if you're in a rush, went today at 8:55am for one drink, 4ppl infront of me and it still took 10 mins to get served, 2 very slow servers behind the bar and they seemed to prioritise Deliveroo over the customers who took the time to visit, in fact a customer ahead of me in the queue ended up leaving without ordering- I'll get my morning drink elsewhere!

Great coffee experience, try out the flat white paired with caramel shortbread.

I have given this coffee place a few chances to get it right, but they never do. Either staff is unfriendly, or they don't listen and get your order (almost always) wrong. Today staff decided it was too "hot" behind the counter so they proppped open the front door, putting half the customers in a very cold draft (it was only 10 degrees outside with a strong wind. When I remarked on this I was told to find another seat. I decided to leave. Forever.

Coffee is ok, but the take away cup lids are not. Coffee is easily spilled all over you while walking 😃

Lovely place to go to, the staff are really friendly and very helpful. It's a decently priced place considering it is a coffee shop, very comfy seats and there are a few regulars who are quire nice.

A nice welcome, choice of coffee, prepared by a smiling barista. With a variety of pastries to start the day off right. We tried the Brazilian coffee, seated in our armchairs. A small downside on the slightly strong air conditioning, not really useful in the month of June. A beautiful address on the High Street.

State of floor on entrance disgusting. Looks like not had a clean for days.

The food was really nice especially the hot chocolate.

I think this place served the hottest coffee I've ever had in a Nero - that's a compliment, by the way. Highly recommend a visit to this one.

Great staff and drinks as usual, but guys, if theres one piece of lemon merangue cheesecake left, dont cut it into 2 slithers and still charge £3:30 for 1 bit, plus the half left on the tray looked pitiful!

My favourite of all the high street coffee shops, mainly because of the photos of Italy and the jazz music. I also like that they have tap water and glasses freely available, every coffee shop should do this. Found this one friendly and welcoming, nice staff. I had a latte and an almond croissant, fresh from the oven.

Pretty standard cafe Nero, nice staff, bad data signal indoors, good central location for Inverness. Best seats are the armchairs in the windows.

worst capuccino this side of Milano I say. Taste of burned coffee, not even the 3rd sugar helped. Trainee totally lost and not really a front person.

In the center of Inverness, a pedestrian area, there is this cafe, not bad even if the prices are high. The cappuccino and pistachio ice were good and large in size.

The most miserable member of staff .. no “good morning “ how are you “ ??? It was late opening .. only by 5 mins … no big deal but when she opened up I would have thought an apology ????… No hospitality skills whatsoever !!!

I don't know what's going on with Neros but its gone down hill this year. It used go be the case you were certain you'd get a great coffee but that's not the case now. Had a mocca today and it was dreadful.

On a 2 hour wait for my coach back home, I found Caffe Nero a comfortable and safe place to be on my own. Food and drink perfect and friendly, helpful staff

This is a spacious cafe with a pleasant relaxed atmosphere near the centre of Inverness. The usual great snack food, coffee and pastry options you would expect from Caffè Nero.

We enter intrigued by the advertising in the window. Porridge every morning as advertised, placed in beautifully decorated ceramic bowls. For over £13 we get two porridges, a coffee and a tea. In the end the porridge is instant, which you can find in the supermarket for 80 cents. False advertising, if they had shown me the photo I posted we wouldn't have entered.

Friendly and comfortable in a great spot but a bit pricey

I did not like the coffee, i could not drink it all. The bannan bread was also average. The tables were dirty. Nobody was cleaning the leftovers.

Holidaying in Scotland is a real pleasure. The people are lovely and always very friendly. Until today when I walked in Caffe Nero to order a Chai latte. I was in the queue which led to two checkouts. Once the people in front of me ordered and moved out of the way I moved to one of the checkouts waiting my turn. The young lady (dark hair) behind the counter in a loud voice told me off for not joining the queue in the correct direction and for standing in front of the wrong register The lady behind me immediately said to this rude staff member that I was in front of her and that I did not jump the queue. The staff member also made a point to tell me (still in a loud voice) that there was only one checkout working (as if I would know this). When I went to count out my change to pay, laying it on the counter, the staff member patronisingly picked up one of my one pound coins and said " See this, this is one pound." I did not get an apology and was treated with contempt when I paid. After I was asked if I had a member card I said no and that I won't be needing one because they would not see me again. Her response was "that's ok". I run a business and if I had an employee like this she would not last long. I even asked her if she was tired and having a bad day. Her response was "yes" but the apology never came.

Delicious fruit booster! A really good smoothie. But I wish the tables were a bit cleaner and the staff seemed a bit stressed and not too nice to each other. The AC was on and it was quite chilly in here. Nice if it were a bit more sunny outside

Caffè Nero è la catena che in questo viaggio in Scozia è stata la nostra sede per fare una colazione quanto meno discreta, perché qui il cappuccio che servono è fatto davvero bene, solo che dovrebbe essere un po' più piccolo, perché lo servono in tazza grande e la riempiono tutta (io ho sempre difficoltà a terminarlo). La cosa bella di questo locale è il suo arredamento, vario e particolare che comunque se pur diverso è sempre intonato con tutto il resto, un ambiente rustico, intellettuale e accogliente, chi ha creato questa catena ha avuto proprio occhio!!! Bravo davvero... è proprio un genere di locale che piace e di avvolge per una sosta e un po' di relax

Atenció gens amable i gens eficient. No coneixen el producte perquè ens van dir que un panettone era de xocolata però era de panses i taronja. Les taules no estaven netes i de tots els lavabos nomès funcionava un.

Nice place to sit down, one of few places with comfortable seating. However, queue was too long and the barista in training ended up putting cacao on our already mediocre cappuccino despite our specific ask not to ;)

Los dulces no son frescos (productos descongelados). El café es bueno tratándose de UK. El acceso a los servicios es un suplicio a pesar de haber pagado. Las mesas no están muy limpias incluso cuando haces el pedido para sentarte.

Great staff, dog friendly shame about cold drinks. If you want a fresh coffee hot or iced then perfect but if you want a cold drink and iced coffees are not yoyr think your only choice is a smoothy or can/bottled drinks. Shame really as everything else is 5stars

Great vegan coffees and lovely staff! A staff member did accidentally put milk in my soy coffee once BUT even when I explained it wasn't an allergy they were so apologetic that they'd given me cow milk and insisted on remaking it. ❤️ It was nice to be taken seriously, even though mistakes happen so I wasn't too bothered. Made me feel welcome. Thank you! (One suggestion: I hope you'll bring back the couscous as it was really tasty.)

In Caffe Nero, I was happy to see it was dog friendly. Myself and my Westie were welcomed by a nice guy, who gave me a bowl of water for my dog, so we both enjoyed our visit. Service was good, food the same and coffee. One thing that I was disappointed with, was the disabled loo, it wasn't clean.

It was a 'go to' for me on a wet miserable cold day. The black Americano was hot tasty and served by polite staff. It was very busy so dishes on tables needed clearing, hence 4 stars!

Nero is my absolute favourite coffee place in Inverness, however after today I doubt il go back , I gave my order to a boy, next minute the boy has his jacket on and left the shop, I stood for 5 mins before anyone asked did I get my coffees, I explained no, girl in all fairness apologised and said she didn't know where the boy has gone, the boy strolls back in carrying 2 drinks from another shop he has left to go get them for him and the other barista working, eventually got coffees and nearly spewd the cream was off, I complained and got told there's no dates on the squirty cream so we don't actually know it's off , staff were all just getting the craic with each other with their backs turned to the shop packed full of customers, adult behind the counter is definitely needed here .

Popped into cafe Nero on the High St. Ordered my coffee when one of the staff walked in to show off his chewed neck to all who wanted to see, for his colleagues to use expletives and fowl language praising his obvious exploits!! The staff in here need to be taught how to conduct themselves in front of customers.

Up here in Inverness for the first time, and this was the perfect place to sit and have a coffee and a blether, whilst watching the world go by, people watching. Friendly, helpful staff, and a good array of snacks, coffee and tea. Dog friendly, and obviously a meeting place for many. Well done to the staff for their courteous and friendly approach.

Nice ambience but the hot chocolate should come un- sweetened as its far too sweet and comes like that. Unpleasantly sweet and I was told if I wanted sugar there was sachets to help myself to! In Italy they do the best hot chocolate and it comes unsweetened so you can add your own to your own preference. Cafe Neros one is yuk.

Ordered a decaf yet got caffeinated - took it back and whilst it was remade, this was not done with the greatest of warmth or understanding. With lots of other choice on the high street - and I like caffe nero coffee - go independent rather than here.

I have no real issue with dogs being in the building, but when you go for a coffee, I don't expect my eardrums to be pounded by 2 dogs with the same owner incessantly barking at each other. Neither do I expect the staff to say its not their problem when I complain to them about the noise. The average coffee, that is no better than elsewhere, means I'll take my business somewhere else in future

Bought the ham & cheese pannini. Very disappointing in the product( not my local branch fault) , its obviously cut backs within the company iself.when opened up, one small slice of ham on each half with one piece of cheese in the middle of each slice. There was so little filling it was very very dry to eat. It used to be fairly full on filling. So cut back on fillings but increased in price, not good. £4:20 not worth it.

Just tried the promoted Peruvian blend coffee (30p extra) , very bitter with a poor after taste. Would not order again.

Service is good, from the outside looks small , but there is plenty of room downstairs, comfy chairs too
