The Three Witches in Highland

It was closed at 9pm on a Saturday. Very strange!

Had a lovely evening. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was great. Price was reasonable. Atmosphere was very nice. Would definitely go again.

We walked in and were simply told they wouldn't serve us because the grill wasn't working...we said that we wanted a soup, not grilled meat, but they made it clear to us that the chef didn't want to serve anyone.... even though there were people sitting and eating.... I'll start by saying that it was a Monday evening and more than half the restaurant was empty.

Karl you are a credit to the establishment. Thank you for being such a kind polite gentleman and showing an interest in my granddaughter, concerned about her dislike of Turkey However duty management who showed me to a table failed to mention only meat left was Turkey. Vegetables were either greasy or cold and shrivelled up. Very sad by this experience

Seemed like a chain restaurant. Order at the counter and get food delivered to your table. The fish and chips were very good. The beer was good. It was a pleasant lunch stop for us.

Really enjoyed the food and atmosphere I had a rare steak it was cooked to perfection. Everyone else enjoyed there meals too. All the team were very friendly.

Came on Thursday for the quiz. (Host/Quizmaster was Very professional and welcoming). Pub staff were struggling, (possibly understaffed). Food was ok. Though drinks were messed up unfortunately. Not a big deal and will definitely be coming again.

Tried to have dinner here with 2 dogs as they seem to pride themselves on being very dog friendly. We arrived and had to wait 10+ minutes (an outrageous time to stand and wait) for anyone to come and try to seat us. We were told "we don't have space for you, especially with two dogs" even although there were plenty of available tables. This news was delivered to us in a very unprofessional tone by the apparent manager who was wearing a christmas shirt in September...? Don't plaster all over your website that you are dog friendly and so accommodating of dogs if you can't seat a table of 4 people and two small dogs when the place wasn't even half full. From reading other reviews it seems we had a lucky escape!!

This restaurant was terrible. We ordered our food and drinks together and a pitcher of water. Our drinks came 10 minutes after our soup and starters. My wife ordered steak and ale pie. It was a frozen pie reheated. The filling was so hot, it was uneatable while the dough was dry and Lukewarm. I ordered a Cowboy burger with a side salad instead of chips. My burger was cooked until it resembled a hockey puck, and came with no bun. That was not what I ordered. I didn't say anything as the young waitress was busy returning people's food to the kitchen.

Sunday carvery main course was mediocre. Everything else was good and we'll probably come again, but maybe not for a Sunday lunch.

Staff on shift the day we went were fantastic - a credit to the company. The food was good 'pub grub' which we really enjoyed.

Whenever my family come to visit we end up eating here. Three Witches is child friendly, the staff are lovely, the food is unpretentious and the menu caters to their varying tastes. Oh and I forgot the best part it’s good value for money.

Needed something local to our hotel and on a recommendation from the tourist information centre made a reservation for dinner. Plenty of parking. Place is a typical family carvery. Nothing special. Service was good. Good menu options with vegan and vegetarian items. Food was good.

Food was great and staff welcoming. Nice wee play park for the kids to get a bit of peace.

Sever Charlie was the nicest lass and so welcoming needs a raise and the food was amazing loved the piri piri kebab.

Lovely visit for lunch. Decent pub grub at a very decent price. Staff very friendly and in particular our waitress was really helpful. Highly recommended.

Not bad a typical harvester type resturant/ pub steak burgers and chicken. Had a mixed grill massive and you could double it killer👹ok.

Not very many options for vegetarians that aren't spicy or BBQ flavoured in some shape or form. Food was good but meat eaters seemed to enjoy theirs more than the vegetarians. General service at the table was really good and our waitress was very polite. Can't say the same for all the bar staff. There was a gaggle of them behind the bar chatting so was difficult to get their attention to get served

Bit of a wait even though we'd booked as there was s party of 24 booked in at the same time. It was relatively quiet except wd were seated under the speaker. Food was nice, my mother, who has dementia, especially liked her meal. We're going to.try it for Sunday carvery at some point

Lovely meal well cooked not posh but great value and will certainly return. Very clean and good service 1630 not too busy.

Three of us my brother had a prawn cocktail no problem large glass/prawns/salad Bread and butter 5.99 my nephew had child's sausage mash and peas 5.99 no problem on the other hand I had a starter macaroni 5.99 there were actually 12 bits of macaroni 1/4 inch high in a tiny bowl and that was it, I sent it back disappointed I refused to pay 5.99 for such a tiny portion of something that costs pennies no garnish nope won't return and yes it was a starter but that is ridiculous.

Opens at 1100 and out of mixed grills at 1300hrs. Dogs are not allowed to be on carpets so good luck if there're other hostile dogs inside in a small space they've designated. Staff won't even bother to look around for other spaces even when asked. 30 mins to take orders and waiting longer for the wrong order to arrive whilst sitting on filthy, stained, sticky seats. Appalling is an understatement, we were a group of 4 with a pet dog and all of us felt uncomfortable, great customer service 👍🏻

We both had a Sunday roast, which was really good. Unfortunately the service afterwards was somewhat lacking. We had to ask for our plates to be cleared and to order desserts which never arrived. After 30 minutes waiting we complained paid and left. Everyone very apologetic but that doesn't make up for it. Nor the discount we were given. Just very disappointed.

Started with Tall glasses for 2 children under 6 which I thought was odd but ok my grandsons are careful then when rest of party arrive my 2yr old granddaughter was also given her drink in glass. Meal came and NO warning given that plates were hot. My adult daughter was handed a plate directly across the table n suffered a burn to her thumb n palm. Very hot plates were also served to the 3 children 6,5 & 2 yrs again burning them. When I told the waitress she replied "yeah the plates are hot, sorry" My daughter in laws gravy was congealed n like rubber when she attempted to dip sausages in it. I come to three witches as it has play area for my grandchildren, and previous meals have been good. But to serve young children very hot plates, as in hotter than the food on the plates, is just ridiculous n very dangerous. Very disappointed in this experience. Now I have to find new place to eat when I take grand children out as I will not risk them being hurt.

It's OK, maybe it's got better since the last time.

Your staff is always very welcoming and nothing seems to be a problem. You accommodate children and help people with a language barrier, I took my German friends to you, and your staff is always helpful and goes the extra mile to make a visit to you that little bit extra special.

Was in Inverness for a wee break and came here and it was a lovely place.

The options of sides in the Sunday roast are very poor. The slices of meat are almost transparent, as thin they are... not a good cost X benefit.

Friendly staff, who made us feel welcome on our first visit. Good choices on the menu at reasonable prices. Plenty of parking spaces.

After trying a few other places to eat arrived here after a long day staff were very friendly and helpful wasn't a long wait for food a great menu choice and not too expensive would recommend

The manager was fantastic, very helpful and friendly. Just had a coffee and some dessert but the chocolate banana tart was excellent.

The potatoes wasn't mashed properly, the roast potatoes were rotten in the middle, apple crumble were cold when my partner got to eat it as he asked for extra custard, the lemonade tasted like water, had to wait half an hour before being able to order pudding not a very good experience from when we first visited the restaurant a year ago it has been going downhill very fast

We only booked a table for 3 in the forenoon for a late lunch at 3.15pm that day. There was a full menu to choose from and our food was piping hot and beautifully presented. Drinks were served quickly while we were choosing our food and the waiters were friendly and cheerful. The restaurant was clean and tidy and very welcoming.

Server was great, delivered my gluten free menu, attentive in checking up. Really positive experience

Had a meal tonight service was good but the chicken kebab was awful. Advised staff but it was completely ignored. Won't be back

After a long day of travel, my wife and I wanted a cozy casual place to unwind. Our B&B recommended The Three Witches and we were not disappointed! Our friendly and helpful waitress, Jazmin patiently answered our many questions. The food was great and there is loads of parking. The Three Witches is family friendly, but not over-crowded or noisy. Thanks for a great end of the day! We will be back next we are in town, and we recommend The Three Witches to anyone looking for a comfortable place for a drink or eats.

Had lunch here today and it was so good! Had the bbq cauliflower salad and it tasted amazing. Followed that with the banoffee chocolate tart which was also very, very good and the vegan ice cream was particularly nice. Service with Fiona was excellent. We will definitely be back!

Went out with my family for food Great, they have electric hookups, not many have. Service was good, waitress and waiters were great. Simple meals requested Good food. Definitely will go again.

Emm not impressed. Staff were polite and friendly but not very attentive. Order arrived with my daughters burger missing. Had to ask for it. They missed it from the order. Arrived out when we were nearly done ours. Her burger wasn't as described on menu had to ask for the cheese, sauce lettuce etc. When asked waiter said that's how it comes. I replied no not as says on menu. Took it back again and put lettuce etc on it. Chips were then cold. :( burger was ok enough, she said tasted OK. My chicken baguette wasn't great 😕 cheap frozen chicken I wouldn't give to my dog. Not hot, luke warm when arrived. Chips were OK. Hunters chicken for my son and mum both tasted ok but were small portions for the price paid. Didn't feel was worth vaule for money at all. No apologies given. Didn't ask if enjoyed our meals. Didn't ask if we wanted anything else etc. Won't be back I'm afraid. :(

I love this place I only have the carvery and it's excellent great value for money. It would cost us alot more if I stayed home and cooked all day you no what they say you enjoy it better if someone cooks it for you. Never had a bad meal yet the staff are amazing always ready to help if needed, not that we've ever had to complain. I would highly recommend the 3 witches for a meal.

Not only was the food great, but the service was impeccable. We were a table of 8, had 4 young kids with us, they regularly test everyones patience, and there still were plenty of smiles from the staff who were more than happy to help. Callym is the best. You must visit.

Was a great time with excellent service! We arrived 30 minutes early and they were able to seat us, a table of 9. The food was phenomenal l I had the chicken strips and steak and ale pie and both were served great and hot and very tasty!

We stranded in Inverness during our camping trip in march 24 and decided spontaneously to try the three witches. It was very cosy with good food and very friendly employees. Even our two little children were welcome. We can fully recommend the three witches without any limitation.

Went here last night for my son's birthday. Heared mix reviews,but because we never been there,so thought that we will give a try. Staff was friendly,but food left a bit disappointed. My toddlers chicken burger looked so unappetising,that toddler even didn't want to try, french fries were so overcooked that they tasted like sticks and no veg at all. I had a shrimps,but it looked like it's randomly were thrown on the plate and added just 1 table spoon of peas, according that shrimps were tasty. It's more likely food left as very disappointed.
