At the bar I had a view of 5 TVs all showing the same program, the owner was a girl who was not really sociable and who played her taste in music and also continued too loudly before the glass was empty she asked for a new one

Great atmosphere, a good selection of beers on tap, very friendly girl behind the bar and 2 dartsboards for steeltip darts. What more do you need?

There's no drinks menu, we had our main courses before the starters, and the burger we ordered consisted of only two buns, a steak, and pickles. There was no sauce on the burger (forgotten?). That evening, the service was very slow, and all this was so that the starter arrived after the main course.

So good, the review needs to add 5 more stars. This is the Cheers pub everyone looks for (If they're a pub goer) Beautiful staff (Stewards n a'.) Kind, friendly and caring. Wonderful place for any one to drop by. Simply the Best.

Great footie pub catering for visiting fans

I had been out all day and was going to catch a train. I had a couple of minutes before the train arrived so I went to the Mallard Bar to get a quick drink. The bar has images of the Mallard steam engine on the outside linked to the railway going past the window. I am not sure if the actual steam engine has visited Dingwall? I was served by a friendly member of staff and suitably refreshed I left to carry on my journey.

Very good address. Dishes with very good value for money I found. Dynamic and friendly waitress. Quite a good atmosphere, there were a few people missing to liven things up but we really liked the decor and the bar. The dishes are very generous in quantity! I recommend

Very good address. Local dishes very well cooked and generous in quantity. Very good value for money! We agreed to serve us at a time when most only serve drinks. Big crush on curl fries! Very crispy Twisted fries! Be careful though. The beef burger offers extra cheese, onions, etc. If you don't take extra, your Burger consists of bread and a steak, nothing more! Different sauces are available on the table.

Lovely friendly pub and dogs welcomed with bowls of water. Bar staff were really welcoming and our loaded fries were really nice and so needed after a walk out to the Pink House

The front doesn't look like much, but the interior is warm, conducive to a good atmosphere. Strong point: the generosity of the dishes for the price! The waitress was welcoming, dynamic and friendly.

Definitely not a place to duck I came here for the football as an away fan the pub was busy with plenty of staff and a great atmosphere having stayed the night I returned to find a lively pub full of locals and friendly staff. There are plenty of tellyboxes to watch your sport on. I will be back to Dingwall and back to the Mallard.

We hadden na een lange reis niet meer de puf uitgebreid op zoek te gaan naar een restaurant dus we gingen naar de pub bij het station. Het eten was niet spectaculair maar voldeed.

Very dirty, sticky on the floor, door handle and table, everything gets stuck. No friendly staff, no ale or malt whisky.

Our steak pies were absolutely beautiful it was then followed up by two sticky toffee puddings that were to die for. The service was ace Shelly was really nice and good crack!

The burger patty was super tasty. The burger comes without toppings, everything you want has to be ordered! Went there during a pub quiz and the atmosphere was great!

Place needs a refurb. Some of the seating is ripped . But food is pretty good. Nothing fancy but wholesome . Prices reasonable . Nice and hot and service good . Was very busy the evening we were there but the girls managed fine.

Great crew, super great atmosphere with pleasant music and a mixed crowd and an excellent homemade lasagna. I was super satisfied. I was also happy that I was allowed to bring my dog ​​with me.

Had a 15 minute connection at Dingwall, Rachael served me and was absolutely fantastic! I wasn't sure if I'd have enough time for food but she advised it wasn't busy and made sure my chips were ready before my train was! She even put them in a takeaway container and a bag! A true credit to this pub and a fine example of brilliant customer service. The chips were great too!

This is a cracking little pub....staff were courteous and quickly served Don't get the bad reviews.....were from Sussex and supposedly boast the best battered fish but this place knocks ours out in my opinion (crispy and not soggy) Were fortunately able to be there on a Wales euro game

15-20mins sitting waiting to be served while the lady in the bar skipped me took an order from another table and left me again.

Went here while camping in Dingwall on Saturday evening of 4th May. Bar very busy after football. We were a family of 5 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs. Want to thank the staff and customers for being so friendly and helpful… staff couldn’t have done anymore to make us feel welcome. Food was delicious and drinks kept coming. Little one loved the music and danced all evening to the delight of everyone. Thank you all for making our holiday ❤️❤️❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎉🎉

Food was ok, service was fine, spoiled by the local drunk arguing with the staff and not leaving. Far too much foul language, not suitable for families! Staff where very apologetic about the situation.

This is the worse place i have been to in a long time. I got my drink in a glass the first time then the gave us 25ml vodka from a bottle the other side of the bar where we were standing when there was abottle right in front of us, this measure was put into plastic pint glasses as we were told they had ran out of glasses with less than 15 people in the bar. The gent toilets were stinking and with a bucket under one if the urinals to catch everything and it was a vile smell no loo roll in the gent nor the ladies to which the ladies in our cimpany where not to happy about. I certainly wouldnt risk eating there nor will i ever go back it looks so run down.

I visited The Mallard on Wednesday the 13th of March 2024 and although it definitely is a Scottish Football institution I wouldn’t recommend the food… It wasn’t that the food was bad it was just bland, I got a burger and paid extra for the onion rings and it was just meh… don’t get me wrong if you are not looking for food and only want a pint and a good atmosphere then go here but if you want food I’d go else where… Other than the food, it is a great pub to spend time at before a football game if you are watching Ross County! Average food in soulless pub. Barman spent most of the time on a video call with a mate, even propping the phone next to the till while he served drinks. There were also quite a few loud, local teens turned up and he turned up the jukebox volume for them which drowned any conversations at the tables. Food was pretty standard fare and pretty over cooked. Burgers were dry, Mac and cheese was bland and veg was just heated up frozen stuff. Tables are set up around the edge of the pub so not a lot of interaction between punters and drunk, loud teens barging about didn't help the atmosphere either.

Nice little bar, food was excellent. Girl behind the bar was attentive and friendly.

Nice little local pub to visit during weekends, they have some live performances as well. Overall the best place for a night out in Dingwall if you don't feel like going up till Inverness.

Erg goed gegeten! Geweldig zelfs. Dat maakte goed voor de stank en harde muziek. Als je ondergedompeld wil worden in schotse scheldwoorden zit je hier wel goed. Echt pub-like.

Went here to watch a football match but the locals got the staff to turn the music up so loud my fillings were vibrating! Shame as the Guinness was great but couldn't have a conversation without shouting your head off. No sign of any food on offer so not sure it's still offered

Bar tender was very rude and could not wait to finish her shift, we went in about 2015 on the 19th October, felt like we were a burden

Severely not happy about my order and have contacted just eat about a refund my foot was so late that it was freezing cold to the point I could not even eat it anymore and want it resolved in either a voucher or refund as this is very poor and sad to see

Great little pub. Came here as a Neutral before a Ross County match and had a great atmosphere. Bar service was superb.

Very tasty burger, good quality, good bun, and everything I asked for on it, cheese and bacon, all very nice and well seasoned. The driver was friendly, and followed my delivery instructions - a rare thing these days from some places.

Wurden ausgezeichnet über das Bier/Cider beraten. Essen Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war gut! Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend! Würden wieder kommen :-)

Great food and service - bit inconvenient that we were robbed at knife point there but the staff assured us that that's very unusual so you should be fine. We can especially recommend the Ale pie, that was lovely!

Friendly if not overworked staff, good place for a pregame pint.

AWFUL order. Half the order was missing, and after an hour wait I gave up and asked for it to be cancelled. Wasn’t too bothered as what did come was slimy grey chicken & burnt rock hard garlic bread.
