I’ve been coming to the Church Tavern for many years. The cheese burger spring rolls is my new favourite go-to starter, such a great way to start your dinner. Thank you for always providing me such great meals over the years, will continue to be a regular for many more to come 😄

Yesterday my husband & daughter accompanied me for a meal at your restaurant. Whilst they enjoyed their meal very much, I feel I have to comment about mine. I ordered Steak pie & found it inedible. When we had finished our meal the young lady collected our plates & asked if everything was good with our meal. My plate had hardly been touched & I said I couldn’t eat it as it was dry & burned. It looked like it was leftovers & had been re-heated in an air fryer. As she asked how the food was & I told her I expected her to respond. We didn’t get an apology or a discount on our meal. We have eaten with you on a number of occasions & never felt the need to complain. My husband paid £15 for a meal for me that was inedible. If you train your staff to ask about the food & you give them an honest answer then I would expect some kind of apology at least. Why train your staff to ask about the food if you complain & then do nothing about it? She looked embarrassed & I didn’t want to make a fuss in public. I would suggest you train your staff to ask what to do if someone complains about their meal. I hope to eat with you again in the future. Kind regards. Helen (Table booked in the name of Robin Lowbridge for 12.30.

My friend and I decided to go for a last minute Sunday lunch before going to the cinema. We tried to book The Swan and then the Fish in Broadway but both were fully booked. I remember seeing on the Broadway notice board that multiple people had recommended the Inn and Brasserie, so we tried our luck to get a table and we are SO glad that we did. I always think it’s difficult to find somewhere that sells a good roast dinner. Everything was gorgeous! The portions are super generous, the gravy was gorgeous and the cheesy leeks were so tasty. The service was also super friendly. It was all around a really lovely - hence the review :)

Booked a table for tonight for 6 people at 7pm on arriving we were told they had no steak or fish left bit disappointing but understandable as was fairly busy, went to the bar to order and it looked there was only one member of staff on, who advised that they had no soft drinks on draft only J20s and a cans of iron bru or Sanpellegrino! one order was for a curry no naan breads so offered chips instead and we couldn't swap the steak which they didnt have for gammon on the mixed grill as it was pre packed... food ordered and then it was a 2 hour wait before it arrived, this wasn't explained to us when ordering as we would of left and gone somewhere else if we were told this in advance, we were offered a free drink as compensation or a pudding but after being there for l nearly 3 hours we had all had enough and wanted to go home, will not be returning based on this experience and would recommend it to others too.

Bank Holiday lunch at the Red Lion in Knowle didn't disappoint. We had the roast beef and vegetarian lasagne which was delicious. The food is always great and good variety on a new spring/summer menu. There is always a nice warm welcome waiting. We'll be back soon!
