Really enjoyed my meal today me and my mom both had the £9 meal deal on a Tuesday chicken skewers and peppers and onions on a sizzler and jacket potato and salad just wish the vinaigrette wasn’t on the salad as couldn’t eat it. With hot sauce Staff was very friendly. Service was very good

Really disappointing. Come here for a 30th birthday meal to be given cold food and staff managed to ruin the birthday cake surprise. The waitress loudly said to her colleague "you grab the plates while I get the cake" which the birthday girl overheard, then when the cake came out it was missing one of the numbered candles, so instead of saying 30, it said 3. The staff managed to lose the other candle. The staff didn't seem to care either, we won't be coming back.

Value for money had fish and chips . Just wish bread and butter included not extra. Very good atmosphere and a new lady with red hair was very talkative and helpful. Nice to see a smile. All in all would come back

Came here for dinner and a drink with a good friend food was amazing drinks were just as good and chilled was served by Ash ( a manager I believe ) who was lovely and polite and nothing was a bother especially with my fussy friend You go girl you know what hospitality really means! We will be back very soon

I visited The Cambridge for the first time today and I won't be going back. I was looking forward to it, as the friend I was with had recommended it and even she was appalled. We arrived at about 12.30 and as we are both blind, we were seated at a table, the server (white woman, black hair and foreign) came to take our orders and she was quite surly. My friend ordered a mug of tea and a jacket potato with cheese and salad whilst I ordered some lemonade with a beef lasagne. Neither food order was the best and my lasagne was very dry and lukewarm at best and my friend's jacket potato was mediocre. The costs were extortionate. My friend wanted to take her salad home but we couldnt attract anyone's attention so I had to negotiate my way around tables to stand in the queue at the bar and people in the queue helped me find a server to assist us. To say that service was slow, it was like watching tumbleweed gently rolling across the desert. Staff seemed to be thin on the ground despite entering the busy lunchtime period. My friend and I won't be visiting again because it is somewhere best avoided. Keep your money in your pocket and go elsewhere. The customer service stinks and the food is awful.

It was very busy when we arrived so we sat at the only free table which was dirty and cluttered with glasses and spillages. If we hadn't asked one of the staff no one would've cleaned it. I had the Home burger which was very poor quality. Topped with a sausage that contained so little meat it probably qualified as vegan.

Alex is a great manager at the Cambridge and if I ever have a problem she is the first person to sort it out for me. Charlie, Danni, Holly, George and Levi are all great with their custom service and are really friendly and helpful.

Its rare for the right level of service. Either they bring items outs and a long wait for having to request for the missibg items. Or they rush the courses. Like any parent, if i didn`t ask for the desert, dont bring it and stick it on the table with my kids still eating, i stated too soon but recieved a shrug. My kid kicked off and i walked out without touching the desert from the poor behaviour that ensued.

Worst breakfast I've had in ages. Avoid breakfast at all costs. I emailed you as requested with no response. Details as to why it was so bad: sausages were extremely overcooked and tasted like they'd been sitting there for hours, bacon was mostly overcooked with one piece actually raw. Toast was cold so the butter provided was near impossible to spread. Eggs were the only thing that looked fresh. Beans were provided separately and scarce. Overall a disappointing experience.

Came today as a family of 6. Waited far too long for food. When we asked and they went to check it was apparently just being plated and we were then informed that there was a half hour wait for food that we were not told when we ordered. However we did inform them we had waited well over half an hour and other people had been in after us and ordered and served. When the food did come out the roast dinners were barely warm, but at this point I was too hungry to send it back. The waitress came over to see if everything was ok and I told her the food was barely warm. She apologised and said she would sort us something out and we never saw her again.😴 we realised when it was to late that the child’s beef burger meal was awful the burger was dry and chewy and the bun was hard. All in all not an enjoyable experience.

Came in today with my family The food was outstanding Service from chloe was really good to, hats off to the chefs will definitely be back for food. Atmosphere was nice too, clean and friendly. Thankyou

Visited The Cambridge with my family for a meal, this place has such polite and friendly staff which made such an impact. We were served by a friendly waiter Danielle, who made us feel welcome from the moment we walked through the door, made sure our table was clean, recommended food choices for us and even accommodated for allergies and preferences for our meals. Danielle checked on us throughout our stay and made sure we were comfortable and happy with the food. The food and drinks were delicious, the service was great. I definitely recommend this place! 10/10

We had a family meal at The Csmbridge tonight and we ordered starters and main meals. I've never had such awful service. We were only half way through our starters and the manager', yes the manager decided to bring out our mains when we had hardly had any room on our table due to us still eating our starters! He just stood there waiting for us to make room for the main meals. He just stood there looking really miserable while we had to make room for our main meals. He even took away one if our starters which we hadn't finished! What he should have done was take the main meals back into the kitchen and waited for us to finish our starters. I've been a waitres' i know the procedure. The managers name is George and after that I watched him throughout our meal just talking to some person that was drinking in there. I could see all the other staff working really hard especially our waitress Tia. She was running around doing everything.

Our first visit,it's a hungry horse pub,was very impressed by the menu,including desserts menu and the offers that they have on during the week.we booked a table for 4 adults.the table had a reservation on it with the surname it was booked under.myself and my partner ordered 2 mains,came to £26.we went on a Sunday,was very busy,tables are kept clean,food was very tasty.

Great chain pub, very cheap, nice food and they accept the blue light card too, so it can work out as cheap as Wetherspoons, but a nicer atmosphere. Great for families.

1st visit Jan '25 excellent 2nd Visit 5.3.25 again excellent. Salmon was gorgeous and the staff are very friendly and professional. Will be returning

I had a really good afternoon. Alex & Chef Wayne really were great. I ordered chicken nuggets, fish finger wraps and chocolate fudge cake. Alex was friendly and attentive.

My friend and I have been to The Cambridge before but would definitely say that we had a better experience second time around. We were served by a lovely lady called Mags who couldn’t do enough for us. My friend ordered the steak and ale pie only to be told that that they had run out (this was at approximately 12:00) Mags went to check as this didn’t seem right. Turns out there was an error with the system. I ordered refillable tea but there were no jugs to pour the milk into. Last visit there were only big glass tumblers to use! Mags went and brought out a small jug when asked. We were also checked on to make sure everything was satisfactory. It was half term during our last visit so very busy but regardless of how busy the venue is, staff should always ask if all is well with the meal. Would definitely go again. Fish and chips next time!!

We reserved a table and a very helpful waitress Mags showed us to another table which was better for the wheelchair. She cleaned the table and after ordering brought our meals, then checked everything was fine. We had the Sunday roast and a dessert. The food was very good, the service excellent and in a nice atmosphere.

Lovely service by Holly, and Shane excelled himself with the food. The portion sizes were huge! This is our local and we keep coming back because everything is always fabulous!

Lovely half term catch up with my eldest and youngest, the food was fantastic and the staff full of personality. Special mentions for Chloe who was non stop on the floor and Alex the manageress. Strawberry yoghurt Ic was refreshing after a burger.

The food was good, hot and fresh. My server was izzy. She was amazing, great service and excellent with my children. I couldn't fault her one bit. Just by her service alone I will be back 100%

Went for my daughters 40th birthday, very disappointed, youngest granddaughter had child's chicken nuggets, mash and veg sticks, portion was so small we had to order her another portion, I had chicken sizzlers that had no sizzle and the smallest portion of chicken I have ever had, came with 3 wraps but just enough chicken to use 1 1/2 wraps, yoghurt sauce best thing on the plate, another granddaughter ordered full English that had to be sent back as the sausage was not cooked through, ordered chocolate fudge cake that even with ice-cream was so dry, enough to say won't be going back 😢 😞

Greasy floors and overpriced drinks

Recently visited in 30/01/2025 in evening we both had the chicken tikka massala of the £5 menu with drinks and orderd 2 additional crumbles off dessert menu at £ 5 + so over a tenner for 2 so after finishing the main waited table was cleared and we asked for desserts so waited 15 -20 mins were told sorry we have no crumbles we will have to refund you so refunded and just checked bank as had a notification and was refunded £8.59 which is over £2 less so becareful people next time i visit will be raising this issue

My partner and I haven't been to The Cambridge in a while. Since our previous visit, the place has had a renovation and the food was lovely. The chefs on duty were Alex & Shane. Our waitress (Chloe) was welcoming and helpful. Couldng ask for better service. We will definitely be returning.

Spot on service food top quality faye our server was polite friendly and attentive easy access for my mobility scooter well lit and clean 1 downside desert was cold and sickly chocolate fudge and custard could have been warmer bar staff spot on and drinks done to specs and very enjoyable overall a very pleasant experience and value for money mix and match £9
