I like these quintessential Manc boozers, tucked out the way a cozy little pub.

Great pub, decent rotating selection of cask ales and really good spirit selection thats not really from the mainstream suppliers, some interesting surprises on the back bar. top staff, great customers, hospitality members only after midnight, a real escape for the industry staff.

At the boxing with my mates 3 of us a great women, a guy leered at us on the way in and wouldn't leave us alone when we said we were here with our partners. We flagged this with security and asked him to keep and eye on him. The guy continued to watch us so security kicked him out. It's really nice to come to a pub where this stuff is taken seriously and we can feel safe with no drama. Big thanks to the bearded security guard. We will deffo be coming back!

They have Diplomatico rum! And the Guinness is nice. Nice place overall.

Denied me and my friend because we were Irish!! Was letting everyone else in! I showed him my payslip and filled in my details!. I think it’s very unfair and dismissive that we were denied, when we were told that we had to work in hospitality. I think it’s very wrong that we were in Manchester for one night for my friends birthday and couldn’t get into a pub.

Seems a nice pub but the staff are hostile

Welcoming water hole near to the Manchester gallery. Lovely barman who had no issue with my young son joining me for a refreshment. Loads of sport on the tvs. The atmosphere was chilled out and very friendly. The drinks were very well priced too. Very clean with loads of pump ales to choose from. Hard to find these gems in big cities. Highly recommend.

Food was cold, I sent it back twice. I think the bacon had been cooked yesterday and kept in fridge. It wasn't even room temperature. Very disappointing.

Denied me and my friends any drinks as the staff was unaware of biometric residence permit, which is the official ID card for all foreigners on valid visa to stay in the U.K. There’s a group of us, and I’m the only one with a biometric residence permit, and the rest of my friends have local driving license as ID, but they still refused to serve us.

Awesome pub in the city centre. A hidden gem. Really good beers, sports on the telly and the bar staff are friendly too. Beer and snacks (including bacon flavoured fries) can be purchased from the bar, mostly it’s about their own pilsner and their own ale.

When I was a teenager in the mid 1960's and Manchester had a Great clubland scene such as the Twisted Wheel, Takis, The Jigsaw, Rowntrees and many others we would often go here for a drink. I dont know much about its history but its stood the test of time.They dont serve food.

Written reviews here before. Always good. This time was good too so why only 3 stars? So….. three friends all ordered on the app. I ordered first. Ordered a sausage and egg sandwich and latte. The sandwich came in under two minutes. Before the latte. It takes longer than that to make a sausage and egg sandwich! Fresh. That’s the word….. fresh. Obviously they have food pre cooked and waiting. Now don’t get me wrong, it was nice but…. The bread was a touch dry on the outside so clearly been sitting waiting….. we were all shocked when it arrived so quickly! The latte arrived about 5 minutes later. So I’m moaning about fast service? No…. Just not overly impressed at food being pre cooked and just walloped together. I’d rather wait for freshly cooked food. Just my opinion. Other than that I love Renato and visit regularly.

Been here many times & really enjoy it. Nice atmosphere & love that you can take the dog! My friends & I came for brunch (as we do every so often). The food & drinks were great, very tasty. We all felt that we got less (portion wise) than we have previously yet this was not reflected in the price. I guess that’s a consequence of the cost of living crisis & all produce going through the roof. Looking forward to returning.

Stumbled across this place on a night out. Great boozer, friendly staff and, best of all, a jukebox!

Dropped in there to get out of a rain shower and ended up staying for a few pints. Seems nice. Staff were lovely.

The Renato Lounge has a real vibe and it’s a great place to meet friends for either drinks or food, all the staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. A special mention goes to Heidi, she was the best of the best, thank you. On the down side I would not recommend going on a Wednesday, I don’t have a dislike of quizzes per se but the quiz master’s volume on his mike is overpowering, you can’t hear yourself think let alone have a conversation, this day of the week is therefore best avoided at all costs!

To my knowledge a Spurs/Arsenal supporters club - If you want a quiet friendly drink then this is a good peaceful place, reason for 2* rating is its small, needs re-decorating and just isn't busy so flat atmosphere I'm afraid - Owner denies its a Spurs pub but has a Spurs club badge on his website - I gave a 5* service review the pub just wasn't very busy and a bit dated - Owner learn to develop and understand constructive feedback instead of lying and writing defensive replies people cannot respond too - PLEASE CHECK THE WEBSITE WITH THE SPURS/TOTTENHAM CONTENT TO SEE THE OWNER HAS LIED

Nice pub if you like a “local” type. Perfect for those of us who like a beer in a pub that retains its own character. Decent team behind the bar and a jukebox to add to the ambience. Great stuff.

We had dinner here this evening, along with our son who has a lot of food allergies. The general manager, Josh, was incredibly thorough and so helpful as it’s never straightforward finding things our son can eat. Josh could not do enough to help and it meant we could really enjoy our meal knowing our son would be fine.

Somehow they forgot to put our order through 😞 (we realised after waiting 30+ minutes that something was wrong When we queried the wait Hannah realised their error and was quick to offer us a drink on the house and a starter of hummus and pitta bread whilst we waited for our food 😊

walking past and stopped in to use the toilet, long story short the barman gave me a really obviously sarcastic “thanks mate” with his thumbs up whilst nodding as I was leaving which is a shame because I was going outside to invite my friend that was waiting for me in for a drink because I thought it actually looked a really nice place. but he made his assumption I guess. really bad example of a bad attitude driving away business because I ran their water for 10 seconds when we could’ve spent over £20 there. just thought it was a little unnecessary from my experience in having grown up in the pub trade myself. oh well.

Just popped in for a drink at seven oaks in printworks. Lovely bloke behind bar called Andrew absolutely breath off fresh air just what thus place needs. Great service thank u Andrew 🙏

I have never even noticed this pub before out of all the hundreds of times of been to Manchester. I just got back from a long coach journey and seen this in the corner of my eye. I thought why not give it a bash? It is a very nice pub with seating upstairs and downstairs. It has. A jukebox and good ales. Nice.

SOOO friendly, and an ideal place if you enjoy sport (there are a number of large screens so you can drink-in the atmosphere (no pun intended). I'm NOT a sports fanatic, but I can still enjoy the Seven Oaks' social aspect as the comfortably-volumed seemingly endless selection of music on the jukebox regularly replaces the screen-audio if it isn't needed. A wonderful place, with a wonderful team in the hands of Matt - a wonderful guy!

Nice traditional pub in the heart of town. Lively atmosphere without being too crowded. Attended a brilliant comedy night here recently, fab community feel.

This review is for the late bar which too be honest gave me a very weird vibe, the people who were going there just seemed hostile and so did the posh guy at the door with the leg tattoos. And the end of the day it's a standard bar serving what you expect so not gonna complain about that but the late bar just seemed off. Personally wouldn't recommend if you been out already just go home will be the better option and if you've just finished work id do the same it's hardly productive drinking after a 11 hour hospitality shift anyway, better off just going home unless it's your last day. Also the sign up is quite annoying bouncers don't specify enough was told to screenshot and then the other guy said I need the document of my payslip. Bouncers come across badly.

Fantastic pub, the service is brilliant! I especially love the advice from the young bartender who has explained how someone can use this thing called ChatGPT for school and college reports! I’m all for the wonderful atmosphere, the very reasonably priced drinks and the advice on how I can also get an A on my uni work.

Visited today with a friend. Very busy but that’s to be expected as it’s Easter hols. Ordered on the app, the wifi there isn’t good so hopped into Prezzos free wifi, which was good. Ordered easily enough. Food always nice. Reasonable prices. Wish it was lighter in there, sat upstairs and it’s quite dark. Ordered orange juices, the freshly squeezed.very nice.

Omg this place was awesome- a proper pub! Jukebox, beers and friendly people! Not much else needed for a good laugh! Everyone talked to each other and the atmosphere was ace courtesy of it! If you're looking for a wine bar, or somewhere for insta this is not your place. But if you want good, honest, friendly people who will chat with you plus reasonably priced drinks then thus really is your place! Will definitely visit again!

We booked are Christmas 2022 family get together in February 2023! We pre ordered our food and ordered our drinks on the app. It just made it easier when working out the bill at the end. I’d put names against each individual plate of food. When the meals arrived the staff called out the persons name so there was no debate over who ordered what. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating, as well as very pleasant. We’ll be doing this again. The food and staff were great. Thank you.

A regular for many years as a family and we haven’t had a bad experience since it’s opened! The menu is always varied and my picky children always eat and I like how the staff are always welcoming and accommodating.

It’s only our third visit to Renato Lounge but I can safely say the food and coffee is consistently good. It’s nice to have somewhere local to have a great brunch with a varied menu. Friendly staff and baby friendly! Thank you!

We have visited here a few times in the past but not been for a while until recently. My sisters and I met up for breakfast and the food and service was still as good as I remember. A lovely breakfast, great atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Great little pub on the edge of town

One of the best locals in central Manchester. Reasonably priced drinks, many screens for lots of sport (from many different countries), amazing staff, pioneering comedians on a Tuesday, great jukebox, lovely locals and a history spanning over 150 years.

Nice pub just around the corner from China Town. Be great if they got a few of Manchester's superb craft beers on tap, but still definitely worth a visit.

Have been going to this Lounge for a long time now . Last two occasions turned out to be a huge disappointment. Staff are pleasant under the circumstances as they are so busy. They are understaffed,’so much so last two occasions, breakfast just waited on the serving hatch getting cold . Tomatoes looked like they had been cooked off a lot earlier on the morning as did the bacon. As it is on the expensive side don’t expect the food to be cold . Maybe drop in for a coffee on the future and not the food which is sad really as we did enjoy in the early days

Visited recently with work colleagues, people arriving and ordering at different times but all drinks and food arrived quickly. Staff were friendly. I had a burger and fries, was nice. Perfectly acceptable. Not mind blowing but very nice. Good atmosphere and a nice place. Clean too.
