Did not have food but a great pub

Food was disgusting. Had the chicken Sunday dinner. Parsnips were raw, roast potatoes burnt, did not even try the other veg Mushrooms on sour dough starter looked like someone had been sick on the plate Will never go there again

Friendly pub, nothing was too much trouble. Food was first class. Brilliant atmosphere will definitely go back again

Proper pub always come here when I'm working in the area. Great food and beer

Lonely family friendly pub held a kids mini disco which we all enjoyed, nice large play area outside although constructively a swing and some stepping logs (a few bits for the younger kids) out there would be fab - there is definitely the space for it :)

This is now my 4th time comming, such a relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, absolutely amazing food, and an all round perfect family pub. Definitely my favourite place to take the kids for food.

Dropped in pretty much everyday for a week whilst visiting family at Good Hope - staff were really attentive and drinks were perfect. We didn't eat in but I look forward to going back in for food soon.

Really enjoyed our meals. Fresh and hot. Great service.

I came in Saturday for food and it was lovely can not fault that , can not say the same for the ginger woman working behind the bar she was very unprofessional seemed more Interested in male attention very rude , how this woman is allowed to work at this place is beyond me , I had few male friends that wanted me or another friend to go to the bar as they didn’t even want to approach her!! Apart from that woman it was a brilliant atmosphere.

Friendly place with lots of screens. Very roomy and has a very relaxing air to it. Parking scheme is a bit "forgetful" for casual users like me, but otherwise a great little pub near the Good Hope hospital.

Popped in with my parents as we waiting for hospital appointment for coffee and a beer for myself. Staff were very friendly and a nice atmosphere to the pub. The open fire was light whilst we there which made it really cosy .

Popped in to the pub tonight for a couple of drinks and must say what a lovely pub. Staff are friendly, atmosphere was great. Loved sitting by the open fire. Was so cosy! Will definitely be back.

Staff very friendly, pleasant surrounding, toilets exceptionally clean. Food awful. Mine specifically, ordered steak & ale pie! Received lovely hot plate, and hot food, but .....peas were hard, mash was powdered, pie microwave HOT which leads to hard pastry. Gravy gloopy. So hungry and so dissatisfied. Worked in food industry 25 yrs. Proper potato would have been nice, home made pie lovely, peas fully cooked..easy to correct. Just keep it fresh, home grown can be just as cheap if you source them locally.

Friendly bar staff and guaranteed to get an excellent meal from there. Food is always fresh, would highly recommend going there for food

We had my moms birthday party here and the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much! We had the most memorable time and I would recommend this place to anyone! They catered for every member of the party and they were so happy! Special thank you tracey who runs the pub she was so professional and I can’t thank them enough! Ps food was amazing!

Pub opens at 12 booked a table for 1.30 for Sunday lunch for my dads birthday. No pork, no beef so chicken or normal menu. Did complain only to be told it’s first come first served, it was empty in there. There was no way a joint of pork and beef was gone in an hour! The next couple that ordered 20 minutes after us was told no chicken. False advertising and absolute shambles. Birthday ruined!!!!

Food was awful, gammon not cooked properly (raw). Ran out of a lot of things.

The food was absolutely disgusting I wouldn’t give it to the dog , I will never go back , I can’t believe they charged me for this food .

I recently arranged a school reunion on July 6th. The manageress and staff were very welcoming. They couldn't do enough for us. We will definitely be back again for another catch up. Once again a massive thank you to all.

What a lovely pub. Such friendly staff behind the bar, a young lady with blond hair served me, she gave me a choice of vodkas and gins when I asked. Wasn’t planning on eating but when a table near me got their food I couldn’t resist. We had loaded fries, a pizza, chicken wings, nachos and tacos. All delicious. We may have waited over 20mins for food but I didn’t mind as I was here for the night. They even had a little special touch in the ladies with having some perfumes and lady products for just incase. Will visit again.

really Bad Service Waited For Threequarters of an Hour For Our Food i Had a 5 oz Gammon With Eggs n Chips The Gammon Was ok The Overcooked Egg WasTiny And The Chips Were Lukewarm The Barman Was Clueless Kept Calling My Wife MATE No Receipt Given No Wonder The Place Was Empty Cost Over Twenty Pound Never Again

Friendly welcome from staff. Standard range of drinks, good food when we've eaten in.

Staff are friendly enough but everything else needs serious attention. Menu is very limited and pretty much all deep fried doubt anything is actually prepared on site ..simply out the freezer …I had the steak pie , the worst I’ve ever had really small with mostly gravy filling …colleague had the veggie sausages which were inedible, the scampi and chips were bland and tasteless, puddings no better will not be returning ..

Ordered 2 southern fried chicken wraps which included skin on chips. Waited over 40 mins for it to arrive even though the pub was empty. Chips tasted like warm and reheated. My chicken wrap was half filled whereas the other one was full. When the staff member asked if everything was ok, we advised if our concerns and was told not sure why, the food is freshly cooked but she couldn’t explain why our food was cold to lukewarm. She also mentioned about the cha ge in menu. We didn’t see the relevance to our food. I did say I’d taken a photo. She went off to tell the chef and we didn’t see her again. Don’t think we’ll be back anytime soon.

Beautiful food and lovely atmosphere but the food portions r terrible. My two children had more chips on there childrens meals than the adult meals. Food is lovely but not value for money

Walked into the Boot no smile off the one member of staff. Half of pub was been decorated and a strong smell of pint which was not mentioned when I rang to book a table. A couple of gentlemen walked in and we felt quite uncomfortable as though we were intruding on their space. Total time in pub 20 mins got up and left. Will not return.

Lived in the area past 6 years. Previously (pre covid) The Boot was expensive, rude staff etc so we avoided after a couple of failed visits. Visited last Friday for first time in 2 years and wow!! New owner, new staff, new menu.... honestly we were so chuffed! Staff couldnt do enough for us. Food delicious - all homemade (well seemed it!) And great atmosphere with the locals! We will be back soon! Cant wait x

Came over to The Boot inn this morning for work.. This pub is a real credit to Tracy... Photos show how pristine throughout this venue is... If you are like me you always wonder just how clean the off limit areas are ?? Most importantly the kitchens. Because of the work I do, I get to go throughout all of these buildings including the off limits areas, I see the good and the bad I also get to meet the staff ect. Fyi ...The boot Inn is one of the very good ones 🙂 Tracy was really accommodating and friendly... Paul was busy preparing the bar for St Patrick's Day, polishing putting out themed hats ect.. but he still found time to make me feel welcome. The kitchen was very professionally maintained, colour coded boards and knives and extremely clean with all hygiene records kept... Pictures show all aspects of this really pleasant venue. It has an Open fire / A children's play area, also a large shared carpark... Just remember to put your registration in on the touch screen on the bar !!

Great traditional pub very good space and a good atmosphere, shows footy on tv and can be viewed from almost anywhere in the pub, car park could be larger.

Love The Boot! Fab menu with so many lovely dishes to choose from (chicken strips and KFC gravy or the tandoori prawns are my fave) and friendly staff! Watched the football there, great atmosphere and sports menu with huge burgers and loaded fries went down a treat! Child and doggy friendly too, looking forward to visiting in summer!

Menu very limited. Ordered starters and they brought them out with the mains. I ordered a steak medium rare and it come out blue. Overall wasn't happy with the food but the pub itself is very pleasant and staff.

I was only there for 10 min as managers funeral, you couldn't move the whole pub was shoulder to shoulder, I can say theres a large carpark, and entrances suitable for disabled also think there was a toilet for disabled there is a garden although couldn't see it .

Was celebrating Christmas with my friends service was good some of our meals was rubbish won't be eating there again

This place is a nice place for a drink or a meal. There is plenty of space to eat and there are booths with TVs if you so desire one. The selection of drink is pretty good too, plenty of choice. The food we had we're the Roasts and the home made lassange, all very tasty.

Very disappointed today.went for food.ordered drinks at the bar asked if we can take seat was told yes .the menus are on the table so looked at the menu and at the minute they have problems with the supplier so steak was on the menu .went to the bar to order it to be told we don't have steak why is it on the menu then ???discusting won't be going again 😡😡

Can't remember last time I had a poor pint in the Boot. A good selection of drinks.

This is my first time visiting for food and I won’t be back. The menu has been simplified but still doesn’t reflect the menu offering. I ordered beef lasagne, which was unseasoned and half made up of melted cheese but I’ll excuse that. It was supposed to be served with sourdough garlic bread and pesto drizzle the both were non existent. What I did get was a slab of dry baguette. When I questioned it I was told that the chef said that’s what it comes with so I asked for it to be replaced with garlic bread but no one returned. I then went in to speak to a manager I was told a manger wasn’t working. I spoke with a young lady and the young lad came back to clear our plates even though we hadn’t finished so that the staff member I spoke with could ‘check our food’ I found this appalling and I won’t eat here again! What a waste of money!

Great atmosphere, and a great choice of drinks, food was also excellent. Don't forget to put your vehicle reg in the pad on the bar.

We received a £100 parking fine when we popped in here for a quick drink! No signs that we could see (at least they weren’t obvious) either in or outside the pub and no one in the pub mentioned parking. The pub were very unhelpful when I called about the fine and just told me it was nothing to do with them and I needed to contact the parking company. I’ve tried to lodge an appeal but will probably end up £100 out of pocket for the sake of one drink. I certainly won’t be going back and warn others to not park there!

My husband called here while I visited a relative at GH hospital and I met up with him afterwards for a drink. Its a lovely pub for all the family and especially if you enjoy sport as you have individual tv in your seating booth. Lovely glass of wine was much appreciated after our long journey. Food looked very good too. Great staff and clean surroundings and a large beer garden at the rear.

I have just eaten one of the finest blue steaks I have ever eaten and it was served with a garlic and blue cheese sauce, superb!!!and sides. I'm not impressed by many things but this hit the mark. The barperson was brilliant she was really friendly and knew exactly what she was doing, professional but also witty. A highly recommended experience and I will definitely be back.

We regularly visit The Boot for Sunday lunch as its consistently good food. Unfortunately on our visit yesterday we were really disappointed with our small, luke warm beef dinner. We found out when I mentioned the quality of the meal that the management along with the chef has changed. Sorry but we won't be back.

The staff are a credit to the business, particularly... The parking system is better than what it was previously. Now, you tap your car reg details into the electronic console. Can't comment on the food because it's been a while since I ate here. Can't comment on the live bands, although the pub was very popular with live entertainment. Can comment on the real ale: Butty Bach was very good. I was fortunate enough to watch some sport and listen to good music played at the right volume. Will go back when live entertainment is on.
