service was not good when ordering staff was rude visiting with clients with learning disabilities and asked for some slightly different things that have never been an issue before and you dont expect some eye cutting and huffing

the staff are always friendly and welcoming, the food is of good quality, and reasonable price. local to residence.

I booked a table for Sunday lunch with an elderly friend & my request for a quiet table by a window vey much accomodated. The food, Sunday lunch, was excellent - couldn't fault it. Service prompt & a lovely chilled time. Brilliant atmosphere too. Our new 'Go to' venue. Very pleased.

Decent Ember Inn, good food and beer. Recommended for a solid pub feed

We had my sister's 40th today 15 of us. We were able to decorate with balloons. We ordered food service was prompt and our food was delivered fast. Food was amazing every steak was cooked perfectly nothing missed at all. A massive thank you to Pete and Jodie for the food. Abby, Emma, George and Maxx for the service. Would recommend to everyone.

We were lucky to find a free table as it was so busy. Ordered food and drinks and served by the lovely waitress Leah - food spot on and all the staff friendly and welcoming. I’d recommend booking if you go on a Sunday though as we were lucky to get a table Great food, great drinks and great atmosphere - 10/10

This isn't our first time visiting the Bulls Head, we met up with friends who we haven't seen for some time, so the convenience of the pub's location was good. As soon as we walked in there was a lovely clean, tidy and friendly atmosphere where we were shown to our pre-booked table, as a result of a reservation made on the Ember website, which was easy to do. not rushed into making our food choices from the clean and easy to read menus that were on our table. Went to the bar and made our choices. The barman was friendly, informative and very helpful with questions about the menu. The food was great, the atmosphere was great and the staff were great. We had a wonderful time chatting all night and had a proper catch up with our friends. Big thank you to the staff as we will definitely use The Bulls Head again

Lovely local pub. Open fires, good pub grub, lots of parking and friendly staff.

All good, no bull (pardon the pun) with this place and it's pretty standard, with all the liquor, larger and ales you would like to see. Staff and service were fine. That's never guaranteed when staff change regularly. Didn't have any food, but lots of people coming for late lunch and early dinners whilst we were there.

I was with my whole family and we had a really lovely night. The staff are just great, always so helpful (Emma works so hard, a real credit to the pub). Great selection of drinks and the £12 wine offer on Thursdays is just great. The food was excellent, always hot, and cooked exactly as requested (hang onto this chef!!). Can't wait to get back there next week.

A good evening spouted by a parking ticket for £100. Left 2 messages for staff to call me so that I can ask for the ticket to be removed/ appeal but no answer! Staff don’t tell you about parking charges nor is there a sign on the pub and when I went it was dark so would not have noticed signs if there are any outside 😡. Not inclined to go again, I’d rather have dinner and drinks elsewhere

First time here for a long time. I took my mother, who hadn't been here for about 40 years!! We used the QR code to book drinks and the meal, and being a bit of a luddite, we were interested to see if a) I had done it correctly and b) if the order got through!! Our drinks arrived very promptly, result so now we know the order is in!! Starter arrived promptly, then the mains in good time after that. The service by the young man who waited our table was excellent, nice to go somewhere where the staff actually give you exactly what you need, ie correct cutlery, condiments etc without actually having to ask for it and wait ages!! All round a great experience with excellent value for money food. Will definitely be back and also recommend to family and friends. Thanks.

Cosy atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Good menu choice and our food was delicious. Best pub food I've had in a while. We both had sea bass. Mom had battered fish and mine was grilled. Yum.

My experience is always warm and friendly whenever I drink or eat at the bull. All the staff are extremely polite and welcoming. A special mention to George and Kiera who make such an effort not only with me but the rest of my family when we visit

The set menu is a joke - yes it’s cheaper but you are getting smaller portions so effectively you aren’t getting a deal! At least the service was alright and the food tasted nice.

Having been disappointed by the venue down the road not serving food, we took a walk here and had some really amazing food. Had some superb service by all the staff and cant fault the prices either!! We had a great meal, starter, mains and desserts and maybe a few more drinks then we should have because the atmosphere was just too good not to make the most of

Jodie is really lovely and nothing is too much trouble. We had the rib of beef and sea bass of the classic menus. Had a 25% discount as well. Food was lovely. Really tasty downed with a bottle of rose white Zinfandel.

We have used this pub for many years. On our last visit we had steaks. We sent them back twice due to them being tough. I broke a tooth on the second attempt (so gave up) We went with a friend from USA last night. Nothing on the menu my wife or our visitor wanted was in stock. Reluctantly we all had scampi. Bad choice!!! The chips were dehydrated. Peas were..... Well pub peas are pub peas lol but they were the worst any of us had ever experienced IE Rock hard & tasteless. Tartar sauce was rancid!!!! The scampi was ok but deep fried on too great a heat. Come on guys if a cook is not able to get chips right why is (s)he in the kitchen? A male member of staff that removed my plate was fine, the rest of the staff need to go on customer service courses. Guys get it together you need to up your game so customers return. I await the managers response.

Sally our server was fantastic, she was very efficient and didn’t stop delivering fast service, not only to us but every guest in the restaurant. Our meals were delicious and delivered really quick. Lovely bank holiday meal 😊

Popped in for drinks last night, have to say, the bar staff were poor. The young girl had no customer service skills at all, lacking engagement and completely ignorant. Awkward experience to say the least.

Lovely,clean and welcoming pub. Staff were very friendly. We ordered 2 drinks and food and didn't have to wait too long. This is becoming our favourite place to visit. A great experience every time

They keep sending illiterate guys that speak little to no English to do a job that requires them to speak English! Just Eat should do a better job at screening their drivers.

It is a pub. That said, the food, service and beer were all lovely. Especial thanks to the chefs (Pete and Ben) for taking care on our order and trying their best to match what we had asked for. Our waitress (Jackie) was attentive and friendly without intruding. We went for a family meal and it was ideal. We will be back.

Tha booking was easy with Emma and Abby as was altering it. The welcome very warm on arrival. No fuss when 1 person let me know they'd be late. Service first class food hood value and afternoon for our Caters group spot on

This is a good pub good food and drink also dog friendly. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

Good selection of ales. Disappointing that original meal choice was not available (Chicken & Mushroom pie) but Kashmiri Curry was very tasty.

Had to wait 1.5 hours for delivery. The driver called me 5 times until he could actually find my place. Just Eat should be more selective in their drivers and hire someone who can read a map! My food is cold.

Nice New Years day meal with the family. Food was fast and great! Had the mix grill. The Pie looked really good also. Nice beer and quite a relaxed atmosphere. Will definitely be going again soon!

Christmas breakfast with santa, amazing morning and a fantastic Santa whom my children adored. Food was lovely as was all staff who accommodated us with every need. Very memorable festive experience. Would recommend and hopefully back next year for Santa's breakfast 🎅🎅🩷

Lovely pub, great staff, food great value for Yr money, can't fault the food,lovely. 1 thing we all noticed which can be quickly resolved by turning the heating down it was stuffy,hot, and we had to go outside for fresh air, was sweating in my plate, no need to be that hot was uncomfortable. Popped in early one Sunday lunchtime on a cold wet day, and sat by the lovely open fire. We hadn't visited for some time, as the food on our last visit hadn't been great, although it was a very busy Saturday night on that occasion. The pub is looking great after it's recent face-lift, and very festive ! We arrived shortly after 12, and noticed lots of tables were already reserved, and the place started to fill up quickly Our food arrived promptly, and was very good. We shared the nachos starter, I then had a steak, my husband went for the mixed grill. Food quality was good, and steaks cooked exactly as requested. Would definitely return, but would be mindful to book for busy periods.

A great place to eat. Pleasant surroundings and excellent food. The only reasons for dropping a star are: 1. Toilets upstairs 2. Had to stand in queue at bar to order food instead of ordering at table. I would have dropped only half a star if I could, but I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Food and decent beer .it's an ember inn which has a good food selection although this time it was a flying visit so I didn't get a chance to sample what's on offer. CAREFULL with the parking here. You have to logg in at the bar or face a fine to prove your a genuine customer. It's easily forgotten.Update.27/10/23. Had a meal on the evening menu. Great value for £11.29 menu a bit limited but 2 good course for this price is great value.Gammon and chips and a chicken wings starter was both tasty and filling.Will certainly come again

I haven't been to Bull's Head in Hall Green in many years but met my friend for lunch last Saturday and had a lovely meal. It has recently been refurbished I believe, and it was a lovely setting and atmosphere and I will definitely be back.

Just called in for a light bite and a drink after shopping. All good.

The Sunday roast was a child's size portion and the vegetables were more than Al dented and the beef was quite dry. A member of staff didn't come and ask if everything was OK as it looked as if there wasn't enough staff to cope, upon looking around there were a few people asking questions about their food, there was no broccoli and condiments (horseradish sauce) wernt offered, this was my first visit and to be fair it may well be my last

Dinning alone I had my favourite meal Hinters Chicken severed with baby potato's tomatoe mushroom and peas a chicken breast topped with bacon and cheese Excellent service at good value prices. Well worth a visit.

Not sure why there are so few reviews for this place. Perhaps the place dropped off during refurbishment. It's part of the Ember Inns group. Abby and her team provide good food and good service. the refurbishment has included decorating, behind bar, kitchen and toilets. Only problem during our visit was fryer not working so not able to offer any fish & Chips. Very good service, you can order at table and the food was also very good. Special offers include fixed price lunch and evenings meals as they offer the Ember Inns menu
