I meet friends in here at least 2x week. I love listening to the old West Indian and Irish men's conversations about early days in Birmingham and life b4 Birmingham. Sometimes I can just sit at a table and get on with my own thing.

I meet up with two good friends once a month for breakfast & a catch up. Can't fault the food & service plus the pub is spacious & clientele sound.

UPDATE: We went again last week, and the turnaround in service was a great improvement. Well done, Rob! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 They always forget to do their hospitality checks with us but I've noticed that other patrons are asked if everything was alright with their meals. Naughty naughty

New to the area so popped in for a pint It’s Nice inside and has its regulars and the bar staff are brilliant Haven’t tried the food yet but I expect it to be the same ‘Wetherspoons’ quality but however I can’t judge the food as I haven’t tried it here yet It has Perry Barr train station on its doorsteps so many people coming off the train come in to have a meal and a drink The atmosphere here is good without any trouble And it you want to pop out and grab a takeaway and leave your pint behind the bar That’s ok with the staff Well worth a visit…..

Absolutely horrible service we arrived in a large party of 10 and my 7 year old niece who can’t eat there (she’s celiac and Wetherspoons doesn’t guarantee to be free of allergens) was kicked out, So we all had to leave, the manager was rude and dismissive and had no regard for my nieces feelings. Change your horrible staff. It doesn’t take much to be kind. Had a whole upset family so close to Christmas.

I was here tonight as a regular between 5 and 7 and all staff where very curteous very professional and treated me like a friend rather than customer which i appreciate again as a regular i see these staff alot and their service never changes true credit to the company

We arrived for lunch and placed an order. My daughter, who has coeliac, was told that she couldn't eat the food we'd brought for her. This was despite us explaining that we were happy to transfer her food onto wetherspoons plates. We were forced to cancel our order. My friend's family, who we were eating with, were told that their order wouldn't be cancelled. I cannot fathom why it is that the employee took such serious umbridge with the idea of us sharing a nice lunch. Needless to say, we will not be returning. If you value good service and basic consideration of customer needs, I would recommend that you avoid at all costs. Burger king downstairs were more than happy to allow us to eat our food and we spent our money there instead.

Ridiculous behaviour from the staff. As my 7 year old daughter who’s celiac has gluten allergy and since the weatherspoon don’t provide anything gluten free. In situations like this we always been getting our something from the gluten restaurant so she can still with us as family while we all eat. But member of staff came and heartlessly told that she can’t eat that food here and she won’t provide any plates for to get her food outside of the other restaurants packaging very rudely she refused and told all of us to either cancel the order and leave or put the 7 year old outside herself to eat her food outside their restaurant. Been going there for years since my daughter was little and we always had to the same thing about her food and never had any issue but definitely neve coming back ever for this behaviour and would not recommend to anyone who has allergies. Staff is not understandable or helpful.

Dirty toilets or would been 5 stars

Staff is not cooperative and not at all have friendly behaviour. They always behave unprofessional if they make any mistakes or while handling customer complaints... I personally don't recommend this place for a good experience.

I try to dip in here once a week after training, solid establishment, lovely staff and a great atmosphere.

Festive place waiting for the train!

Myself and my partner eat breakfast here quite often. We order a full English and are allowed to customise to our liking. There was no hot chocolate left the last time we visited but other than that everything was fab. Food arrives quickly and always good service.

Great staff, I popped in Tuesday prior to the football. Ordered a rib eye steak staff great food came quickly . However my steak was so undercooked and full of gristle I couldn’t eat it . With no fuss no drama the floor staff sorted it apologised and got a refund amazing service thank you . I know you can’t get it right always but it’s how you correct it thank you

We went there for a pre match drink. Being away, fans, it was very friendly.

This was a fantastic pub for drinking, with a cosy and laid back design! This is contributed to from the brightly coloured floor and ceiling, alongside the nicely styled different frames and the bookshelves. Counter is neatly presented and staff were friendly, outdoor seating is so nice in the sun and I enjoyed a pint of Stowford press!

It’s large pub, very dark inside. Large bar however service is very slow also no parking so when the shopping centre closes you don’t have any parking.

The food at this wetherspoons is cheaper than others, the only issue is they allow people to smoke right outside the front door. Which brings in a horrible smell.

Early morning but already a great atmosphere in here. The usual excellent Spoons service and my chosen ale is first class. Added bonus - the toilets are on ground level just behind the bar. So handy for Perry Barr 🚂 if you’re off to watch the Saddlers or Villa.

Comfortable, wide range of drinks and a pleasant secure outside area ideal for warm sunny times. Very large parking facilities behind building containg the premises. Within a very short strolling range are stops for a variety of buses into and out of the city and Perry Bar railway station for local and national journeys.

When is it rude to ask politely why the server has walked away from a full bar to wash glasses?

Not great, tables were dirty. The food was not great, I think there is plenty of room for improvement. Service is poor, it’s obvious there are staffing issues. Not on a hurry to go back.

Came on a Sunday morning for breakfast. Breakfast was great and I’m very great they open at 8am on a Sunday morning!

Bit of a weird one. Located just outside a shopping centre. Stopped to fuel up before a game at villa park. Food and service good but lacked atmosphere but that may have been down to the lunchtime visit.

The manager was a lovely lady. Very helpful and friendly, as was the male bar staff member on duty. Good news over with *The tables were sticky. *Female bar tender was rude and argumentative. (Shes the reason the above score is as low as it it. Would have been 5⭐️ *Red Wine on tap tasted of carbonation from dirty pipes. *Steak was ordered MR. It came WD. Didn't even bother to send it back or eat it.

This spoons is huge, staff are friendly, ordered small fish and chips:fish wow, chips warm. But overall great place.

The bar staff are seriously miserable here. Never ever do they provide customer service or smile, very disappointing, staff need training even management are miserable. If you can see beyond that, then please feel free to use the facilities as it's a weatherspoons after all.

The food is ok for price. The coffee machine didn't work even if they let us buy coffee. They forget to bring the sides. It is cheaper if you order online.

It's busy and quite brash! The place is very large and spacious, so you can probably find a corner to get as comfortable. It's a tadd raw, rough even, but it still okay if your aware. Staff were nice enough, the food was good. The prices amazingly low, cheapest Spoons around. Enjoyed the visit.

The "traditional breakfast" is truly hard to beat for the money here... I just started working at the Shopping Centre next-door, and I've been in a number of times for a quick and easy breakfast fry-up before my shift. The food has been consistently good here, and nearly half the price of a number of cafés I've been to. Service has always been quick, friendly and polite, and the value for money can't be beat. I've yet to try the drinks menu (not recommended before an eight hour shift!), but it's way cheaper than any places I've been in lately.

Atmosphere ok food is a joke ..smaller portions with no effort to presentation the service needs attention tables not been cleared regularly of glasses plates etc. Toilets need regular checks as not the best for cleanliness and replacement of tissue paper.

Can't fault it Tbh, two real (ish) ciders and chicken wings meal with Black Dragon for £9. Clean, decent service and hot food. Definitely one of the better Spoons out there, even if it's not a fancy building.

A great little pub with v good food ,friendly, professional,welcoming staff, who work extremely hard & never get flustered when the pub is busy. I feel really comfortable going in on my own ,and I often accompany my elderly dad here for drinks & sometimes food.Which we find to be consistently v good quality .Thanks ! , keep up the excellent work &standards as it is very much appreciated (certainly by me anyway) X

Food portions was terrible, terrible service, asked weres the rest of my food, the answer I was given was "that's all your getting". Place was dirty, had to clean my own table, staff seemed more important talking between them than to collect glasses and clean tables. Wouldn't recommend, will never go again

Great little weathspoon prices are cheapest in the area! There is a few unusual characters though including one guy who was rocking back and forth in his seat taking about satin to himself and smashed a glass outside the pub on leaving. But I'm assuming this is a one off food and drinks are a good price food as good as it gets for a wetherspoons. I will return for the cheaper prices if I'm in area again.

Very nice atmosphere. Well, I may not have the time to buy any food yet because I didn't have enough money on me at the time, but I will be looking forward to coming back to order this time, but what a lovely service experience very much welcoming, relaxing and very friendly.

Poped in at 11:30 got served very quickly. Unfortunately when my traditional breakfast arrived, beans and egg was cold shame hope it is one off incident. Ill try them again next week coz prices are awesome. £4.18 including unlimited refill of your hot drink. Dare you to find anything cheaper for this volume of food

I use this place when I'm going to Villa Park,great atmosphere and full of characters too.

Very busy as Aston Villa were playing a home game. I was still able to find a table and i was served quickly as the pub is extremely well staffed. Food arrived piping hot and portion size was generous. Great tasting food that was cooked well. Excellent value for money

I've had a few meals in the pub, recently, and I can't fault any of them. The prices of the food and drinks is unbelievable, the staff are very friendly, it's clean and the customers are friendly.

As far as 'spoons go, this isn't one of thier finest

My closest weather spoons and I love it, I love spoons anyway but me and my partner come here regularly, maybe for breakfast or dinner or just a cheeky drink, lovely staff, and is basically in a shopping centre with so many shops so you can do your shopping too!

Decided to get a walk in and went to the Arthur Robertson for breakfast 😋. We had the small veggi breakfast and some toast, it was really nice.

Decent Wetherspoons food but some locals can be dodgy although the staff do make sure nobody is bothered. My advice is to stay inside and enjoy your food and drinks.

Lovely place nice people the local pissheads are there everyday nice vibe food ok but don’t feel you up not bad for the price just stay away from it on football days or Friday nights gets abit rough and loud

Rude manageress brought me an order and I started eating it and was a bit cold but hey ho then realised I had no bacon. She came back with another plate of food plus 1 I had ordered for my daughter and when I said I had no bacon she told me I should not have excepted the first order like it was my fault . Rude and terrible attitude never again!!

It's a wetherspoons, standard stuff but you get some characters in this pub for sure!

Food and drinks are alright. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Food arrived pretty quickly but our orders were mixed up (the combination steaks and sides my friends and I ordered were mixed up).

The day I visited there was something definately worng with the beer either pump problem or barstaff cant pour a pint
