Bartender named Cody was so rude and arrogant towards us, didn't listen to us when we had an issue with the drink we were also polite about it, got told to leave and not come back, insulted us called us a tramp and told us we dont have jobs, as someone who works in hospitality this is absolutely disgusting and appauling service needs sorting.

Pretty quiet on a cold February lunchtime. The place is need of a makeover and a good clean but the staff are friendly. The hearing could do with going up a couple of degrees but I get why it isn’t. Always great value where the wine costs about a third of what it costs next door.!

Value for money, excellent drinks range. The food menu is varied and fair value.

Great pub, service was some of the quickest I've experienced in a wetherspoons.

Everything was exceptional! Five stars to Aivam (Ivan), the guy attending in the salon. Very cordial and attentive, he made the entire experience enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Distinctly meh, even for a Spoons. Breakfast arrived fast but stone cold. Coffee machine? Cold too. Better places to spend your money, this one’s best avoided.

Chiste un montón de mesas, pero muy sencilla una que estaba disponible si la liendre se hubiera limpiado platos completos vasos sobrantes de comida nadie limpiando así que simplemente se sentó limpio son self's no se fue bar tiene solo una aplicación de servicio de larga cola de prueba no funcionó parece que lo cambiaron de tiene están bajo el personal así que acaba de salir y fue como esta última vez que estuve en también me fui entonces probablemente dar a este lugar una falta en muebles que solo se puso de pie cosas limpias mesas y tener personal para servir bebidas y despejar las mesas. .

An excellent pub and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. I highly recommend it.

Nos alojamos a la vuelta de la esquina y vinimos aquí tanto para la cena y también para el desayuno. Ambas comidas eran buenas - por lo general buena relación calidad-precio para lo que se obtiene. El viernes por la noche, era el ambiente habitual Lloyds con una pista de baile, rugby, pista pegajosa, etc. Pero muy diferente durante el día.

It been 10 years since I last visited,wow how I think it's lost a bit of sparkle.it was friday afternoon,busy,food arrived but drinks came 10-15 minutes later.

Can't fault. I'd like to shout out Ivan doing a superb service 👌

We ordered the turkey dinner each but was told about 30 minutes later that it was no longer available as it was sold out. We should have been told sooner as we had to order an alternative which meant waiting even longer for our food. It should have stated on the app that it was unavailable at the time.We were given a free round of drinks to compensate which was a kind gesture but it still made for a disappointing experience.

Staff were so rude and ignorant wasn't busy. It was quite first our order was droped at wrong table then we order j20 orange passionfruit we were just asking for garnish we got before and manager and staff start to argue that my colleague were rude. When we call waiter on table we have been ignored and if anyone being genuine look at all these staff having negetive attitude and arrogant. I used to be fan of weatherspoon I will never go to any spoon again. Look at this quite they are not even trying to give the service they meant to give😡. A guy called his name is donte was saying what's your problem bro when my colleague were genuinely asking for garnish on the drink. Is that the way anyone as a staff suppose to talk to any customers and we were not even drunk. We came for his birthday and spoon you need to look at the staff at this store.

Swift service, clean with good food

Last visited 4 years ago. Nothing changed. Pizza was very poor. Really needs to do better...

Brilliant first time going there for food,had the breakfast and it was excellent could have been a little bit warmer but still enjoyed it the prices are very good much better than some places, the coffee is very tasty the staff are friendly and welcoming will definitely be going back again excellent service. Been here a good few times went in today only one coffee machine working the coffee coming out luke warm the other machine has been broken for weeks now I paid for a hot drink not luke warm, then we ordered food scampi and chips which were nice and warm then come the peas which were stone cold do these people not check the food before they send it down, mentioned it to a member of staff all got was I'll let them know shame because always had lovely food and drinks it seems to have gone downhill in the last few weeks.

I lost my glasses there and they kept them for me to take back. Really appreciate their help

We went in the middle of the day. It's your typical Wetherspoon. The food was nice, and the service was swift, but the atmosphere was a little dire.

Went Friday night they had a dj and the vibes wasn't bad

Great location on Broad Street. Great breakfasts & meals & I love the unlimited coffee / tea refills. The prices are unbelievable. It has great disabled access & the staff are helpful & friendly. Great atmosphere in the evenings as the surrounding area. Great watching the trams going past as your having a drink. Great outside area for eating or drinking. Keep up the high standards & thanks to the management & staff for making our visits so pleasant.

No real atmosphere. Too early in the day. Customers walking out because card reader not working. Staff were very polite and helpful in this stressful situation. I just had a quick drink and left.

Nice Spooners on Broad street in Brum.

I'm sure it's fine in the day but having speakers playing crap pop music loudly in every area in the pub was annoying (should be the dancefloor only). You can't chat so you have to either drink more or leave.

Busy spoons, but serves food till 11pm and service was fast and friendly.

The staff are the best you can get here. Always have time to talk to you and serve great Guinness. I slways call in and at £4.03 a pint the value is great.

Good service, nice food. Pity there was no cups available, apparently they had been busy and no cups were abailable. We had to have cardboard cups, although we did have cups bought to the table as we were about to leave.

Horribles experiencias pareja si el personal grosero pub inútil vacío pero mesas sucias con platos y vasos sucios. Comida fría. Bebida derramada en el transporte de bar a silla y al pedir ayuda me ofrecieron una pequeña cantidad de pañuelos de papel, aunque me explicaron que estábamos recogiendo la bebida restante con una bandeja que todavía nos quedaba para resolver esto solos, mientras que uno de nosotros tenía que secarse bajo un secador de manos . . muy decepcionado . . se sentía sucio . . . calidad de la comida pobre . . . vuela por todas partes y no es un día caluroso . . puede ser barato y alegre un poco preferiría gastar el dinero extra para una mejor comida y una mejor experiencia . . lamentablemente la comida que queda sin comer . . pollo masticable . . . no se retirará desafortunadamente . . Normalmente no me quejo de la comida, pero esta no es la primera mala experiencia que hemos tenido aquí comprar, permitimos unos pocos, especialmente cuando está ocupado.

For a fairly new pub the seating and flooring was well worn and grubby looking plus I noticed several customers sent there food back

It's a spoons so few surprises, stairs for the bathroom is pretty standard, cheap enough drinks and relatively consistent food across the chain (we didn't eat here today but what we saw looked as expected). The thing that stood out here was the music, having been in Whetherspoons across the country (and city) it's the first time I recall hearing tunes inside.

Needed a inexpensive place that caters for vegans. Order via the Wetherspoon app which makes the ordering process alot simpler. Table service. For myself, I ordered the boneless chicken banquet with unlimited tea or coffee. It's not the most tasting of food but it's cheap and cheerful. My vegan partner opted for the ramen noodles bowl. Hot drinks machines were working fine. Service was relatively quick.

To be fair the customer service is pretty poor they don’t really accept people of colour and act differently depending on the way you look

Used it some years back when it used to be a lloyds bar, now a weatherspoons & it's still a good pub. Enjoyed our stay, thanks.

Use the Wetherspoons app for table service. Good value as always but find it quite dark and gloomy unless you sit by the window l. We only had drinks here this time

You get what you pay for..u pay for cheap! you get cheap service back. Trash customer service this morning ! The barmaid had nerve to silence me when I asked about the queueing System. Should have just gone to Starbucks !

A table full of 6 nittys tried to take our food that we ordered. The staff removed these people and offered us a free drink. You can’t beat spoons.

Great pub inside the entrance to Birmingham new street station. Service quick polite and attentive. Food average but well worth the money you pay for it. Would be nice to have some outside seating to see the world go by.

Drinks very cheap and service was quick, atmosphere great.

First impressions weee good but the menu I used was covered in something sticky and my feet stuck to the floor but I persevered. It takes some doing to make £5.75 look like poor value for a coffee and a full English but, kudos, level unlocked 🙌. Bacon, sausage and beans all cold and the egg was, shall we say, "rare." Hate wasting food but couldn't eat it. I'm sure it was just an off day and I should have told the staff but you how the English are? The coffee was ok at least.

Desayuné aquí varias veces mientras me alojé en Birmingham y cada vez el servicio y la calidad de la comida era excelente. También cené una tarde y era noche de curry. Mi pedido de un curry vegetariano de garbanzos fue servido con popadoms y pan naan y fue realmente muy agradable. Quedé impresionado con la velocidad a la que se servía y a pesar de estar muy ocupado, el joven que entregó mi pedido a la mesa, volvió unos instantes después para preguntar si todo estaba bien. El personal aquí trabaja muy duro y es educado y servicial. Estaba muy impresionado y recomendaría el Solomon Cutler como un muy buen lugar para comer y beber.

The food wasn't great, but they were really busy when I went in, so I guessed they rushed things in the kitchen. Other than that, great place to go out.

You know what you’re getting with a Spoons, nothing fancy but good value. The drinks were less than half the price of the hotel next door and we didn’t have to put up with awful music.

One of the quickest Wetherspoons I have visited. We left at 6pm on Sunday 16th June. I am guessing it is because England football team was on at 8pm and people hadn't turned out yet. As always nice place with reasonable priced food and beverage. Great staff. Recommended

Worst Full English I've ever had the misfortune to eat. The cook obviously doesn't like his yolks runny so he destroys them. I had a tiny portion of baked beans. Bacon was cheap and chewy. Black pudding overdone. Absolutely abysmal food.

Very busy pub with lively atmosphere. Didn't have to wait long for the food and it was very good. Right in the heart of Birmingham near the canal basin

The Solomon cutler was a disgusting the tables was dirty the cutlery wasn't clean had to get some hot water to clean and I cleaned the tables myself never eat in there again and the chips was cold and got nasty taste to them

Foe a busy Wetherspoons pub, very well staffed, tables cleared quickly, drinks arrived at the table within a couple of minutes of ordering via the app, food arrived about 10 mins later, with perfectly cooked steak, when asking for medium rare you very rarely get that! Nice location near the canal. And at £15 a head with a drink what more could you ask.

Like most Spoons on a Saturday night it was rammed. Despite that, we got a table and were served pretty quickly. Food was standard fayre and did the trick for a quick bite before heading to the NIA to see The Pet Shop Boys.

First time visiting, was very busy but still managed to find a table to fit us all. Service was fast and food was lovely. Cheap and cheerful can always rely on a weather spoons 👌🥃🍔

So this is a Lloyd’s no 1 bar. I was watching a video on my phone with low level music on it and some moron on the staff whose hair had rejected him, told me to keep it down. Are you going to keep it down when the football is on? Or a DJ! Or the Rugby? I won’t be back your staff are idiots

It's a spoons, so you know what you're getting when you walk through the doors

Typical Spoons, food was as expected when it arrived. Meals arrived at different times which is exactly how I'd have expected it. The staff did apologise, but that didn't really solve the timing issue. Decent amount of chips for a spoons, as most know this can be hit and miss.

My mistake: tried to get in for a quiet meal on Birmingham’s Gay Pride Day. It was absolutely rammed ! So obviously a popular venue. We went somewhere else.
