Had my nieces birthday meal here in the private room, had a lovely day with the kids in the fuzzy’s, our meal and desserts were beautiful 😋, staff always polite and friendly

Arrived for a pre booked visit on 7th April for fuzzy eds and a meal for 10. The bar maid on duty young blonde was very friendly and welcoming. However, fuzzy ed staff seemed pre occupied and flitted in and out. She was hosting a party yer seemed to not follow health and hygiene regulations as she was handling the food with bare hands with no gloves being worn. We went into main dining area and was seated in direct sun light with young children who became very restless the meal wait was over 30 mins but we actually waiting almost an hour. When asked for gluten free menu was told they didn't have one and to just speak with bar maid upon ordering this making the ordering process alot longer albeit the blonde bar maid was helpful. There was only one waitress on and she was working as fast as she could but I did notice several orders being bought out with big gaps between each persons dish, the service just wasn't efficient and when it was served it was rushed and seemed like she would prefer to be somewhere other than there. The manager on approach also seemed unapproachable and full of attitude. All this being said the food was great value for money and delicious. Think with more staff on shift the whole experience would of been to a higher standard. Just a shame for the few staff who seemed to let the whole experience down

Love it here the food is always good and value for money. They have just bought out a new menu too. Shame the ball park closes earlier. Do check before you go.

The Tavern is a sizzling steak pub so it's ideal for young families on a budget. My kids are now grown up so no visit to Fuzzy Eds, we popped in for a pint and as I couldn't see any draught bitters I opted for a Guinness. My son had a Thatchers cider, we both enjoyed a refreshing pint on a warm day and no doubt we'll be back.

Me and my momma came for an evening meal, it was great friendly staff our barmaid was chlorine who was just brilliant 👏 I think our server was Christina & she was absolutely lovely too, all the staff work together very well, we will be back again...keep up the great work guys😁

I haven't been there for years. It seems to have slipped backwards a little with regards to the standard of food and atmosphere. A few of the items I wanted from the menu weren't available either. The staff were pleasant enough, though.

Really enjoyed our visit.. the staff were great polite.. great sense of humour..quick service ..tables kept clean.. were using it more often in the lite of our first visit ..

Plenty of parking and really welcoming food was bang on would deffinatly come again

Had my Aunty's wake there Tuesday. Staff very supportive and always on hand to all our needs. Food was lovely, private area available for our own family. Have been here a few time's before with the Granddaughter in the wacky and gone next door for good food. Great atmosphere would recommend to anyone.

Came here last week and absolutely loved it, the lady who run the church tavern was so helpful and was a lovely lady . In fact we are coming again this evening as we have had previous excellent experiences

We have been coming here for many years. Never had a bad meal however tonight we was extremely disappointed with the food. The gyros wrap was extremely poor. We had around 6 scraps of meat. We was told it was the portion size now I understand you need portions however this was extremely poor tonight. I am not impressed with the new menu.

6 of our family went for lunch. Food was amazing. The new menu has lots of choice. Large portions and hot and delicious. Especially the tomahawk pork. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Service was excellent overall. Will definitely be back soon. Thankyou 😀

Slow service close at 9pm not 10pm

Had to send eggs back as not cooked , chips were hard , knives are blunt, service was slow ,garlic bread was burnt .Overall a complete disaster, kids couldn't eat their dinners .

Amazing food at amazing prices with great atmosphere the staff are great like Richard he is really helpful and very friendly just wish more places were like this it is now a regular place my family and friends come to eat i recommend it to everyone

As a family we regularly use this pub for family celebrations. Yesterday we celebrated my dad’s 70th birthday. The staff are really nice and helpful. A very welcoming place for families and the food is really good.

Lovely pub, food was fantastic and the wait times were surprisingly slow for a Saturday night. Staffs were attentive and supportive. Would definitely recommend the party room!

Lovely dinner, great staff and service food was fast out and yummy. Only problem one of us had was the chunky chips were under cooked but other than great visit.

Came with our friends from Villa rockets Powerchair football, decent disabled parking and ramps for ease of access. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was fine ( Tikka masala , Lay it on chicken burger and old faithful burger) Overall a good experience 😀

Great place , food is good, staff are friendly with great service. Has a soft play area so ideal if you have young children. Large car park with EV charge point. Highly recommended.

We went for a family celebration and there was a lot of us. We could not fault the food, service or cleanliness. The food was prompt hot and delicious. The staff were very helpful and the cleanliness of the pub and toilets were immaculate. Could not fault this place at all. Staff work really hard and are cheerful and helpful. 10/10 for us

This place is amazing. I always come here and I’ve never had a bad word to say about it. Any problems/issues I’ve had have always been resolved immediately with care and respect. One woman who works here is called Tina and her professionalism is outstanding she goes above and beyond everytime to ensure all customers are comfortable and satisfied!! She truly is a credit to the company and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves because I’ve ate out at many places most being 5* restaurants and yet her warmth tops any other restaurant experience! It’s amazing here. Also the kids play area is tidy and awesome for kids of all ages! , the meals here are perfect the portions are great and the quality is 10/10. The hygiene of the restaurant is impressively impeccable! I honestly can’t fault this place!

Visited this pub on Sunday 12th January and unfortunately will not be returning. It was busy when we arrived but after about 20 minutes it was much quieter. After ordering drinks on the app it took 15 minutes for the drinks to be brought over to us. We had just ordered food on the app and were told as the drinks arrived that there was a 45 minute to an hour wait for the food. The food finally arrived after an hour and 20 minutes. I had ordered a burger which should have had bacon and barbecue sauce on but it came with neither on. I didn't bother complaining as I was hungry, had waited long enough for the meal to arrive and didn't want to wait any longer for it to be fixed. The food was nice but wasn't as ordered. All the time we were waiting no member of staff came over to check on us or apologise for the wait. We had a complementary drink on the app which included a gin as it was advertised on the app as an option however it wouldn't redeem as a free drink and then disappeared off the app. After we went to the bar to query this we were told that there was nothing they could do about it as the app is beyond their control and that we would have to get in touch with customer services to complain about the app. It also took 15 mins for the staff to bring one drink we had ordered via the app to our table even though there were plenty of staff standing around by the bar not looking busy. Overall, a poor experience.

Not many people in for a Friday, but the food and service was spot on. We eat here quite often and will do so again

Had lunch there with my daughter. Hadn't been for a while. The food was absolutely delicious. We both opted for the Sizzling Menu: tandoori chicken and sweet chilli halloumi. I also had sticky toffee pudding, which was so good. Need to visit again soon!

Maybe. Just MAYBE. Amend your times online to the soft play to avoid disappointing young children. Absolute cretins.

Absolutely amazing food!! We had a three course meal and so happy with the service of staff. Very polite and friendly staff too. I would recommend and definitely go again.

Yo y mi familia vinimos para el desayuno con santa y su fue brillante el personal era excelente y realmente lo hizo especial para los niños : ) Vine el año pasado, así que definitivamente vengo para el año que viene.

Our girls Christmas lunch was held here 2024. Food was just acceptable. The turkey was obviously from a packet of cooked meat & the rest was frozen food. Dessert was not as listed in the festive menu & disappointing, three profiteroles thrown into some squirty cream was supposed to pass as Caramel Salted Snowballs. The starter was the only good part. The heating was far too hot & we all left sweating & with a headache. There was no atmosphere, no Christmas music etc. Some of the staff didn’t look very happy. Don’t think we’ll be having our Christmas gathering there next year.

Thank you so much for making our sons 18th Birthday meal so special. You always go above and beyond when we have special occasions. The staff are always lovely and nothing is too much bother. Would highly recommend to anyone. Look forward to our next visit.

Paid a visit on the 6th December 2024 paid for my 2 small grandchildren go into Fuzzy Ed's. We paid 4.95 for each child within 2 minutes I had to complain because someone had allowed a small group of big kids into the ball pit( teenagers) which were running wild never again, we took the kids out and got our money back never again will we set foot in there

So enjoy our meal very much came out lovely and hot so was the onions ring and garlic bread the lady that bought our meal out greeted us with a lovely smile there was music in the background nice and light nice cosy pub and great prices for the meals large car park

Wow! Thanks for tonight! Really appreciate the personal touch that you all gave us tonight. From the moment we walked in, you were all so pleasant and friendly and we were out of towners. Let us choose which table table we wanted to suit us. Food was great and especially thank you to the bar manager who brought over our birthday cake, you made our birthday girl so shocked, surprised and pleased all at the same time. Thanks again and we'll be back when we come this way again. Ps I thought the Christmas tree and decorations were beautiful 😍

Teníamos una mega parrilla, absolutamente encantador filete cocinado, perfecto, gran relación calidad-precio 11. 99 desventajas huevos perdidos, pero la comida era muy sabrosa. También pedí surf y turf filete bien abajo pero no gomoso, que me gustó mucho. Los postres son grandes y exuberantes. El personal era encantador muy amable, aunque muy ocupado, se mantienen educados y alegres, que es encantador de ver. Comida excelente relación calidad-precio y descuento de luz azul para aquellos con esta tarjeta pero no pedir a la mesa. Ambiente limpio y mantenido tenía un tiempo encantador sin duda volveremos la próxima vez.

Bar staff very informative about different celebrations going on in pub , John & James the chefs excellent food

A tough review to write because I think the people are trying hard. The problem is the food. I ordered the ultimate curry. Not good. This was because: - Curry was cold. - The naan I had to cut with a knife because it was so hard. - The meal was a lot of things that didn’t make a great meal. Better, hot & more curry is the place to start and get rid of most of the rest. Inside it looked like a nice pub. I was surprised that it closed at 9pm. Odd.

Gracias especiales a Christina, Richard & Charlene por el servicio de primera clase y constantemente registrarse para asegurarse de que todo estaba bien. Sin duda volvería y lo recomendaría.

Come in every weekend it's a lovely atmosphere, food is lovely and the staff are all very accommodating. All in all would recommend coming here.

Always get great service from staff after my tiring day of work. The food is superb and excellent value for money. Special mention for Richard and Christina, so professional yet warm and welcoming going above and beyond to accommodate us on every visit. Definitely recommend the salmon 🙂

Terrible rude staff food not what it should have been .NEVER AGAIN

Ordered Mega Mixed Grill. Only thing Mega about it was Price. Upgrade to a 8oz Rump, given 5oz Rump. Told it was a 8oz because of the cut. Use to be a Butcher, YOU LIAR. NEVER GO HERE AGAIN !!!!!!!!

It's a great place to watch people kicking off and they need more staff and poor woman working behind the bar should have a pay rise

Held my dads wake here 24/09 lovely food not your traditional buffet but absolutely lovely staff were really helpful and friendly. Today was dad's internment so with family visited again for a family celebration meal. Fantastic food,service and atmosphere will visit again and certainly recommend

We came here with family for my sons 18th, food was lovely, staff really helpful and friendly. A relaxed atmosphere and somewhere for the younger children to play and have fun before there food arrives.

I held my Daughters Birthday party in the soft play centre and it really did exceed all expectations! Fantastic value for money but even more importantly the customer service was amazing. The lady hosting the party was the best I have ever come across and I have held many children’s parties in many soft plays over the years! She was friendly, efficient and really did have everything under control. Once the party had finished we enjoyed meals in the main bar area where the bar man was also super friendly and made us feel completely welcome. Both of these members of staff are an absolute credit to the Church Tavern and we look forward to returning soon.

Cheap and cheerful is exactly what it seid on the tin you get what you pay for so can't complain you get exactly what is offered

The food was mostly delicious, especially the Halloumi and Tandoori sizzlers, Spicy Chicken Nachos, Crispy Chicken Wings and the Boss Burger. The steak was a bit chewy but otherwise nice. Love the Passion Fruit Cooler. The staff are really nice, especially the guy; he always gives really great service and is very friendly. The one thing I’d say is there should be a card device for tipping for people who don’t use cash. Thank you.

Great service, food was very tasty and piping hot. Service by the bar and floor staff was fast and friendly. Pub and toilets were so clean.

Fantastic place to eat and drink. The staff were very polite and accommodated us an hour earlier than we should have been there. The food was of high quality and was served to us very swiftly. 'The Greek' burger was delicious but everyone enjoyed their meal. Highly recommended.

Went as a family and we all unfortunately ended up with a stomach bug which lasted about 3 days. Sent an email to the customer team yet they still have not come up with any resolution in the email response other than an apology. This is not good enough as you caused a family of 5 including a small toddler to become very ill. Food was very try and tasteless. Gloomy atmosphere, uncontrollable kids running around you screaming/shouting whilst you’re trying to eat. Staff didn’t bother to come and clean off tables, this had to be done ourselves. Will not be returning.

Stopped by for two can eat for 11pounds and the fish and chips were generous and yummy. Went back the next day. Great atmosphere for our large party of 9

Went with a mixed grouped of kids as an end of term celebration, one of the few places left with a soft play and pub which is great to let the kids let off steam. Food was good. Had surf and turf which came out sizzling, not too pricey but good pub grub and a wide range to choose from. Good range of cocktails and drinks (mocktails for those that weren't drinking). Staff were friendly and accommodating.

We had a large group to play in the soft play and for a meal. We had a group of 17 all the food came together and was all hot, service was fantastic from Lindsay, Tegan and Christina

We have been going to the church taven for some considerable time and each time we go it gets better and better Tina and the girls are doing a fantastic job great food great atmosphere

I went in for a quiet supper and beer quite early in the evening, and had a wonderful meal (sizzling salmon) and a well-kept pint. The staff were particularly welcoming and also efficient.

Had a meal here and was a banger. A Lovely team too. Would 100% recommend it ,if you are in the area. Thank you to Chloe, Alex and Richard xx

Very good food for crazy cheap.

Food was lovely and the staff were very pleasant. However, people were smoking drugs next to the entrance and in the seating outside.

Had my son's 5th birthday here on Sunday. The staff were amazing and really helpful and welcoming and everyone had an amazing time, the food was nice and having the exclusive package was a bonus as we had it to ourselves. We visit regularly and never have a problem. We love coming to the church tavern. Thank you everyone for your help on Sunday! Would definitely recommend.

Great food, service was a little slow due to staffing but the food was amazing. Will definitely be back.
