We didn't have food, just a few drinks with friends and family. Lovely atmosphere inside would recommend it

Another bloody excellent meal! Got the chef to tailor the pannini for me and I'd have this as my final meal on death row! The staff here are the best, so friendly and welcoming! Glad this is my local **update as of 22/01/25*** Just had a new chef's special curry!! Out of this fekin world! Better than any takeaway oily curry! This place just gets better and better!

I think this pub has always been rough and the thing is you can’t change that and the staff still or must have issue. I think it comes from the manger. Nothing really changed it’s the same pub but just a bit of a renovation.

1st time in since the new owners took over. Beans were cold and I mean like they were emptied onto the plate from the tin, toast was white, it wasn't browned at all and it was cold. Egg raw too. The guy who served us was lovely and attentive but the chef needs sacking

Popped in thismorning for a quick drink while my boys were at a club. They're dog friendly which is a big bonus and the guys who were on thismorning were super friendly! Such a big change from last time I visited (which was a fair while back now)

Friendly bar staff. good selection of ciders at a reasonable price. good selection of food especially the small plates. Had a great bar d on at the time playing songs involving saxophone playing!

Had a lovely breakfast this morning! With a great smile and warm welcome from Andy and Kacie. Thank you so much. I am looking forward to bringing mom over for our next meal. I know she will love this place. Looks brand new and so cosy.

Newly opened Kings Arms in Kings Heath is not the normal chain pub. Isaac’s home made Caribbean curry (they have weekly chefs specials) is a level above the regular pub food on offer, probably because it’s made on the premises. Ellie provided attentive and friendly service too. Worth a look😁

I came here with my 2 mates and ordered fish and chips, the chips are cold like it’s just been taken out from the fridge. Will never come back to this place again.

Went on a Sunday and were told 30 minutes wait and we have been waiting for an HOUR still not ready. Checked how long and said it is just coming out from the kitchen BUT waited another 20 minutes still not ready. Ended up getting our money back and went somewhere else! Awful. Avoid coming here!! Actually told the family and my sister and brother in law went here the weekend before and said the same, they’ve been waiting for an hour and ended up getting their money back and went somewhere else. DISGUSTING!

Very disappointed , used to be a great pub, great carvery. On arrival we were told there was no gammon, no steak, no fish and no wings. Opted for all day breakfast, it was OK. The place felt cold, no atmosphere, do it yourself hot drinks, didn't bother Definately won't visit there again.

First time in the sparkly new pub very impressed. Food was so lovely the steak cheese burger was beautiful. Andy behind the bar greeted up with a massive smile and was very helpful. Not often you walk into a pub and have someone as enthusiastic as Andy.

Went here on a Monday evening with my mum who is elderly and it took us a long time to walk there only to be sold the chef had finished for the day, so we couldn’t have any food. Shocking given it was 7.45pm and the website says you serve food until 9pm. We completely wasted our time walking there. Tried to phone tonight using the number on your website to see if you were still serving food at 6pm but you call the number on your website you get a message which says “this number isn’t recognised”. I give up now and won’t bother again. Get your act together!

The empluzzed bruzz made me and my famuzz wait an eternituzz for our meauzz. Once the meauzz arruzzed it was stone cuzzed. This place is cooked and the chefs must be crash outs on guzz.

I had the the hot dignity Dog with no jalapenos and no spicy sauce The food was fantastic the service was fantastic the staff was Fantastic the food was so tasty the chips are so lovely it just so lovely it's so many different flavours that mountain your mouth the chips was so lovey and tasty threr are to die for like literally best chips I ever had the hot dog was fantastic 2 overall wonderful the staff of this new pub or fantastic and I like to say just this member of staff was so lovely Enya customer service was 100% overall she is fantastic and she will do well in life she has so much more to achieve you as a manager should be happy that you have this member of staff working for you she is so lovely words can't describe how lovey and good at your job you are so amazing keep up the hard work you should be proud of yourself you are so amazing Enya ❤️

The pub has just been renovated and has a completely new feel. It is modern with plenty of good seating areas, TV's and music. Great service and a good choice of food on the menu, although it does lack a side salad. It has a lively atmosphere which has completely lifted the feel of the pub. Entertainment as advertised and family friendly.

Came to the new kings arms to have a meal,and was highly disappointed they had no meals as the fryer had no oil so all three meals could not be ordered this was a headache as I had come with people in wheelchairs so getting them back in car to go somewhere else was extra time was hoping for some nice food but did not happen shame as its just re opened and seems not well organized

I was hoping for a more traditional pub environment but the lights are so bright it kills any atmosphere. Turn them down please and it’ll provide some ambience! Service was ok although bar tender had no idea who was next in the queue

Went for lunch today with family. Staff were outstanding. Lovely family friendly atmosphere.

The food was not hot and it took time to be served to the table it was good harf hour before I go the food

Terrible service staff were uninterested and firstly got our drink order wrong. Had to wait 30 mins before the first meal came out and then a further 20 mins before the 2nd meal which was sent back as the fried egg was raw. The manager didn't even apologise and it seemed too much trouble to take back. Also no cutlery given and was told rudely that we had to get our own from the side of the coffee machine. Totally unacceptable service and will not be going back again.

Me and my family went for breakfast today and who I think was the manager came and explained to us as just open might be a bit slower than usual we didn’t mind waiting and they bought some toast out for my daughter while we was waiting which they didn’t have to do the breakfast was lovely when it came and they gave us extras for the wait time defo recommend and the staff are lovely and so help full

The pub has been totally refurbished and the menu line is superb with pub classic’s and sharers! We enjoyed the free live music Saturday - this place delivers more for your money! The burger was divine! Great foodie offers too which will make eating out in the week a brilliant option! As they had just opened we had to wait a while for the food, but it was worth the wait and staff explained it was a teething issue - to be expected as they had only been open a day! Definitely will be returning, regularly!

New refurb looks amazing, atmosphere was great, little wait on food, but understand its all new, staff explained and were really helpful. Some great offers on and great value. Will be back again soon.

Absolutely stressed me out after asking 3 times where is. My food and waiting almost an hour an hour for a burger and a panini one they are totally inexperienced capachino is black looks good when it comes out machine stir it and see how dark it it absolutely a massive joke lots of complaints while I was there don’t waste ur money I saw a child’s burger come out it was black never go there again

i no they only reopened on Thursday but no excuse for cold food sent both meals back one came back warm other still cold when complained waitress said well we are bizy and we only reopened Thursday at this rate ull be closed full stop if u don't sort out ur cold food cus we won't be wasting are money in their anytime soon

This place and its food sucks, newly renovated, way over priced and a long wait for less than mediocre, processed food. I guess they are trying to make their money back for the paint. Staff seem like they don't like working for who ever is their boss. Never again. Only good thing is the parking!

We waited for an hour for the food to come and we had one meal missing and no sides for our main. The mash was frozen inside. The staff was really friendly tough.

Steak was tough and chewy, took ages to come, and served on paper, cutlery came 5mins after the food was delivered, my guests food still hadn't arrived at the time of writing this review 10 mins after I finished. No vinegar for chips small chip count, vinegar had to be bought out in a shot glass.

Love it here, such great food and service. Shannon is always amazing and makes sure we have everything we need!! Looking forward to going again soon.

Came in the other day for some food and was severed by a wonderful girl called charly. She was a very likeable girl and brought a smile to our faces. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend. Food was amazing.

Fish and chips and mussy peas very greasy and looks like a pack of 4 fish from a supper market with not much fish in side owner not good with customers and thinks more about her self every o e else not to bad the prices of meals are bad and portions as you know cost of living is here a rip off I hive it a 3 out of 10

Really nice meal here, with the 'last' of their puddings, a really tasty belated mothers day treat with my son and daughter.

Had chidrens in January this year, only burgers and pizza on the menu, service was the worst we have ever had, food took over 90mins, we had to collect the food from the counter and the ones that were brought by the waitress she had no idea what they were and we had to literally touch everyone food to find out. Never going here ever again. Disgusted

This establishment is a Stonehouse carvery, the food was fresh and hot, the Gammon, Turkey and Beef were tender and succulent and All washed down with a Carling Lager shandy. Well worth the travel for a meal

Food was lovely and carvery staff were very friendly, but £1.15 for half an orange squash is a bit steep! Especially if tap water is free!

Pub grub, nice pub, friendly atmosphere, cheap, food is hit an miss in here. Sometimes good, sometimes bad. Have to be honest.

After the refurbishment. It changed it its name tooTHE CROWÑ. It is a very pleasant pub. Pleasant serving staff. Still retains A pool table. And i have been told the Carvery is good value for money. Big car park .plenty of tables out side(weather permitting). And the 50 bus stop is right outside too take you too kings heath. WORTH A VISIT

Never has ales on tap but 61°deep is fine. Carvery about on a par with the Toby Inns, much better price wise tho. Staff seem friendly enough, service can sometimes be a little wait. Decor is good, pool table and enough TV to watch the football. Replenishing cutlery/napkins and surface wipe downs could be slightly improved. Good to great overall.

Not great worn down premises needs updating/repairing. My food was fine the double burger was nice but my wife's pizza was made wrong no red onion she was given white and instead of normal cheese we was given vegan cheese and we had all finished our meals by the time it was replaced. And the cheese was still wrong again but she just ate it rather then send it back again. The kids meals were fine. Also all the toilets had no toilet roll my lad was stranded on the toilet and I had the staff running round to get some we was given napkins as they had ran out I find this really bad they had to go to the shop to get some. I won't be coming back here.

Very disappointing. Two little bits of meat. No cabbage. Ran out of yorkies. One full bowl of gravy with a skin dried on top. The other running low. Not very hot. Cold plates.

Friday lunchtime carvery - poor quality vegetables ; after repeated promises of Yorkshire puddings been cooked, they never arrived before finishing our meal ; gravy pot had an unsightly very thick skin on it ; Turkey carcass was dry ; the chef seemed untrained in the art of cutting meat ; long time in waiting for our desserts

Breakfast was really good and the lady chef was lovely made me fresh bacon and eggs because the ones ready wasn't the way I liked them. The young male chef was a nice polite young man in fact all staff were very helpful

Cuando después de 10 minutos no llega fui al bar a preguntar y me dijeron que me tenía que recoger desde el asador??? Es muy extraño y también que no lo habían dicho.Cola en el asador que me dijeron que no sabía nada de pescado y patatas fritas!! En este punto el resto de la comida estaba terminado, así que me rendí y pidió mi dinero.La señora de detrás de la barra insistió en un recibo que nunca fue dada en primer lugar!! Great food, came out quickly for a busy looking Saturday, staff were helpful and genuine. Also in a nice location. Would definitely visit again.

We went for lunch here on a rather miserable grey old day it was warm and cosy and staff were very attentive and helpful there range of Veggie/Vegan dishes is one of the best in the West Midlands with several Quorn dishes

Este pub se ha transformado desde una Ember Inns en una corona Carvery. Es una verdadera pena porque Kings Heath es gentryfying y el pub debería haber ido de mercado en lugar de mercado.Los bajos precios atraen garrulos desde las zonas que rodean Kings Heath. Crown Carverys son las mismas que Toby Carverys pero más barato. La comida es menos bueno y las mesas se ensucia más.Un gran lugar para ir si tienes bajos estándares y falta de imaginación.

Took my daughter out for breakfast to the Kings Head, Alcester Rd South, kings Heath.Arrived at 10.30a.m. breakfast is served until 11.00a.m. Had to wait 15 minutes for sausages, no fried eggs available, had to remind the chef about the toast so was halfway through the breakfast before the chef brought it out and left it on the counter for us to fetch. The food off the hot plate was lukewarm, the plates were tea plate size and you're only allowed 2 bacon and 1 sausage. Not good value for money at all. None of the tables were cleared all the time we was in the restaurant but this has happened before when we have been for a carvery in the evening. The only plus side about this place is that my daughter left her scarf in there and the Bar Person(Manager I think) actually came looking for us to return the scarf, we were in the shop across the road.
