I stumbled across costa for my afternoon tea, while waiting in a line that was out the door, due to only having 2 members of staff,ACTUALLY THERE WAS 3 however the young women seemed to be doing absolutely nothing, what a waste of wage percentage.. The guy serving a customer in front of me was extremely hostile and made my friend and i very uncomfortable, wasn’t making the situation any better. The gentlemen didn’t understand the deal which was being displayed on the board, however the rude costa worker made him and other customers uncomfortable by making him seem silly. 😡😡😡 AFTER THIS OCCURRED , the worker took my order didn’t ask if i had a costa card. AND MADE ME FEEL STUPID FOR NOT KNOWING THEY DONT HAVE ALMOND MILK. THEN THERE WAS NO “LIVE LAUGH LOVE” ENERGY . VERY HOSTILE ENVIRONMENT AND WASTE OF TIME ON A BUSY DAY. TO TOP IT ALL OFF THERE WERE CUPS AND MUGS ON ALL THE TABLES. When my coffee was made i felt as though my coffee was judged and belittled as the rude gentlemen said “here is coffee” i had to be what GEN Z call a karen but honestly so disappointed. DO BETTER COSTA. Next time i’ll be taking my business somewhere else , lost a loyal customer 😡😡😡😭😭

A real find. If you are in the area it’s a definite must visit. Traditional pub with good selection of beers. It was hot beef baguettes with roast potato’s and gravy on the menu the day we visited with was simply the best I have ever had. Staff are super friendly as are the locals. We could have stayed all day…

Quiet little pub with a good selection of real ales. Dog friendly and well worth walking up the steep Cartway to get here!

It was a good pub for matches. no longer open. I can't write any more. We called in a couple of months ago. They have tried hard to update but not much footfall, due to demographic changes in area most likely.

I ordered a triple espresso should be 3.05 pounds, but charged me 4.55 pounds. just noticed it when my credit card sent me the notification… why over-charging me? It is absolutely unbelievable’

A nice surprise. A quaint old English pub. Excellent food the chef Shaun I compliment for the belly of pork. Very tasty. Breakfast good too! A nice cosy room with a good bed rounded off the stay nicely ( shame about the wonky ironing board but it doest distract from a great stay) will be back again in 2025 definitely a recommendation.

Firstly, ordering process was fine and there was a short wait for food. But it went downhill from there. The only seating area is up a tight and steep staircase, no lift available. As I’m someone with a disability, this presented quite a challenge with a tray. The food itself was diabolical. Absolutely stone cold. The burger itself was so greasy it had made the bun wet with grease. Completely disgusting and inedible. Honestly the worst burger I’ve ever had. The burger from the one bite I had tasted really cheap too. Like it was made with cheap ingredients and a previously frozen burger. This was my first visit to Tim Hortons and will also be my last!
