Nice friendly place to visit. i have been twice now on a Saturday night. Had a few games of pool beer a good price staff friendly after buying 6 packs of crisps we got a doughnut 🍩 😀 will be back for the cream cakes soon lol

If any of you remember how great the 80s were, pop in here on a Saturday night, it was great fun. Full of people just having a bloody good time. Really enjoyed it.

On holiday again we went in for a crab sandwich it was more like a crab paste the last few years it as always been thick white crab meat and it cost £34.50 for three sandwiches we only went in once instead of every day .

We have visited Vaughan’s a couple of times during the past week – once on a Sunday afternoon to see a live band and then for drinks with friends on a Saturday evening. The live band we saw on the Sunday (Steel Wizard) play there quite regularly and they were very entertaining. The sound quality in the room was surprisingly good and it would be nice to see the live band there on a Saturday evening (instead of a Sunday) so we could really make a night of it. There was a DJ on the Saturday night. On both occasions the bar was very busy with a lively atmosphere and friendly vibe. The staff are very welcoming, the drinks prices are extremely reasonable and they have a huge selection of spirits. We’re looking forward to our next visit as it’s a great place to meet up with friends and enjoy a lively night out.

Popped in on Saturday evening as we entered everyone just stared went to the bar one barmaid was dealing with glasses the other putting bottles in the fridge and on shelf we waited to be served and waited to eventually leaving and going else where

Visited as was attracted by cocktails, the venue itself doesn’t feel like a restaurant nor a bar so a little odd. Good selection of drinks which are well priced. Would visit again but has now wow factor or cosy atmosphere if you were looking for somewhere nice/special

Wow! What happened to this place?! Used to be lovely, welcoming and served food! Now, the ceiling is falling down, limited cocktails and the only food is crisps! What a disappointment. Surely Kerry and Nigel can see how bad this 8s looking now.

The young lady that served us was extremely rude. We only had the option of 1 cocktail even though it's supposed to serve a variety? We were told no not tonight. It was our first visit and will be the last due to rudeness. Disappointed as we were looking forward to going.

Was really looking forward to visiting Vaughans again as we had not been for a while. Unfortunately the great staff that were there previously were no longer there. The was food average and the service rubbish, wont be rushing back!

We decided to give this venue a go instead of the local curry house for a change.My friend, myself and later to join us my son enjoyed a relaxed pleasant evening.Surroundings are modern, clean and tasteful, however do not expect a traditional Spanish Tapas bar as this place is bang up to date layout and decoration wise.Service could not be faulted, staff eager to help and attentive.Food, this is where I think some improvements could be made, Tapas that we ordered was great, problem was there was not enough variety, IE no seafood paella available, menu not clear, for example could not work out if we where dealing with a main or tapas, as it turned out it is all tapas. Yes,yes I know it is described as a Tapas bar but some tapas bars do the full range.Anyway, all in all it was a good experience, pity we missed the live music night though.We will definitely be returning.

Really good tapas and some rather delicious cocktails too! Good value for money. Quite loud in the bar, but we enjoyed the music/karaoke! My only criticism is that it was very bright in the restaurant area - could use a dimmer switch!

I have recently been drinking in Vaughan'sFirst impressions was it was immaculate. The bar staff are some of the same from the White Hart days like Julie and Sharon who have always been excellent whether they are serving the drinks or general gossip a great laugh, they know how to pour a pint of real ale too.The quality and choice of the real ales are second to none, they have my favourite premium lager as well call Staropramen.The prices are exceptional especially the Staropramen at £3.45 a pint, its not a gassy lager like all the premium lagers.They also show Sky and BT games whether it's footy or rugby.On a different note Kerry and Nigel have achieved a great success here by drawing in some of the great lads and ladies from the past, a great credit them to achieve this. I really recommend drinking here.You won't be disappointed.

Gone down hill of late... can't make cocktails anymore and only manage to microwave food. Save your money!

After reading the reviews we went for an early evening rendezvous for a catch up and to have a first hand experience. We were not disappointed. The setting is very tasteful and we were surprised by the space and how the bar area is separated from the eating area. The staff were so lovely and helpful and we were directed to the wide choice of gins and amazing offers. The tapas portions were generous and tasty and there was a lovely atmosphere which enhanced our experience. We will certainly be returning to Vaughan’s and hope it will be supported as it provides a great service to Headless Cross.

Booked a table for 4 friends, a special birthday treat. As soon as we walked in we were all very disappointed. The bar area was 3 deep with drinkers, not diners. It was extremely noisy, not what we expected at all. We made our apologies and left. The staff were extremely polite and completely understood. Really disappointing, the management need to sort out whether this is to remain a Tapas & Cocktail Bar or just another drinkers pub,

I had heard some good things about this tapas bar but it was a huge disappointment. The young lady serving was extremely polite and efficient but the food was appalling. Everything was cooked from frozen and tasted processed and cheap. We ordered the flat bread garlic prawns chilli and mango prawns cheese fries and gin and tonic. The place feels very cold with too much lighting and very little furnishing. There were several workmen at the bar who were very loud and vulgar. Not really the type of environment for a nice meal. We were really dissappointed as its a rare treat to get together and it was ruined by the poor quality of the food and environment. The girl behind the bar and serving has a difficult job trying to make everyone happy and clearly no management around to support her. Hate giving a bad review to a local business but honestly they are taking advantage of the paying customer by serving this food.

I would question if they have ever been to Spain - Iceland yes! Frozen pizza with cut chorizo on top for cheese and garlic flatbread with chorizo! It was like kids food! No cheese

Having see wildly varying reviews elsewhere we decided to give Vaughan's a try early on a Saturday evening. On arrival we were told they had block reservations at 7pm (a good sign!) but as we arrived just before 5 we had plenty of time, without feeling in any way rushed. Someone complained elsewhere about the sticky tables but we think the very slight feeling of stickiness, such as it is, is due to the varnish, not a housekeeping problem. Anyway, on to the drinks and tapas (not sure what the plural of "tapas" is!). The staff were very welcoming indeed, so no problems there, the décor was good, and non-intrusive music was playing. I ordered a Tom Collins (which was excellent) while my companion ordered a soft drink. For food, we had mixed breads, vegetarian mezze board, patata bravas and chargrilled vegetables. That doesn't sound very filling but I can assure you it was and it was delicious. The bill came to a little over £32 so, while we enjoyed our visit, we think this may be a place to go to once in a while, unless you are a well-heeled resident of Headless Cross!

I went here is September with my friends. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food pretty mediocre. My friends and I had been looking forward to this experience but left thinking, "I won't be back in a hurry"

Very disappointed. We waited for over an hour for the food which also arrived in intervals. By the time I received my dish everybody had finished there’s 10 minutes before. The BBQ steak ends I ordered was blatantly microwaved, the lettuce was even scorching hot & shrivelled. It came with the wrong sauce & no glaze whatsoever on the meat. When we questioned the staff we were told they were to busy. All in all it was a shambles. Number of wrong dishes & then when they did appear they did not match what the menu advertises. Got money & time to waste on bad food & service then this place is ideal. Goodluck!!!

Three of us called in on what seemed to be a quiet Saturday evening for cocktails and tapas. Like a previous review our table was sticky which left me wondering about cleanliness. The cocktails were tasty, particularly the Jaffa, however, the food was average. The bill was £74 and at the end I was still somewhat hungry. Not sure I will rush back here.

How fantastic to have a tapas bar in Redditch. Had been looking forward to it but I'm afraid the experience was not as good as I'd hoped. The table was sticky so I asked if I could get a cloth. Was told that it would be sorted straight away. It was a while and the lovely young waitress came with furniture polish. Haha. The menus were filthy too, full of finger prints.

My partner and I were really pleased that a tapas bar had opened up in Redditch so we couldn’t wait to go. At first we were really impressed. A warm welcome and the manager was really accommodating seeing as we hadn’t booked. He found us a table after we’d got drinks then... nothing we sat there for an hour and were completely ignored by staff of which there were plenty, I even attempted to wave a number of times and say excuse me, but noone would even look at us. The beer wasn’t anything special so it was just as well we only had the one.

Regularly pop in for a few drinks, great pint and lovely staff. Food looks good too! Great selection of drinks.

This is the second time since opening that we've eaten here. Both occasions the food has been exceptional. The meatballs are the best I've tasted and the beef and halloumi delicious too. Well worth a visit but book in the evening as always busy

We came here for a birthday, they offered to put balloons up for us which was nice, on entry we were ushered to our seats by a man who didnt appear to want to be working, we asked him for drinks but he said he didnt take drinks orders but would send someone over to us, no one came until we complained. We eventually got drinks and ordered our food. Well one friend was given her food which seemed quite a large portion for one person so we asked and were told it was for one, then ten minutes into her eating it the waitress came back and said she had got 3 peoples portions! Another time the waitress said to one of us "I need to take back your prawns as someone else ordered them! My friend assured her that she had ordered them too and it was also unprofessional to give customers second hand food anyway! (She had already eaten some of them) my food never cam out at all so i shared some bread with my partner. They ran out of cocktails, no mint for the mojito either. I did comment on their facebook page as to what happened but was brushed off and the comments were removed. All in all I would not recommend. All new businesses have hiccups but rudeness is not acceptable and you dont try to take customers food from them whilst they are eating it. Needs a lot of staff training and improvements.

Fantastic service. Me and my other half had the Vegetarian Mezzo Board with Garlic Prawns and Patatas Bravas with several cocktails for her birthday. They were considerate enough to put balloons up. Friendly Staff. Would definitely recommend this place and will not hesitate in returning.

Brilliant early evening cocktails and tapas with hubby. No doubt we will be back very soon to try even more of your fabulous cocktails.
