Costa Coffee in Redditch

Usual Costa menu, freindly staff, very busy, but plenty of seating in store or outside in the shopping centre.

What a lovely welcome I had from the three ladies. An emotional day for me but they chatted. Smiled. And get me a much needed lift. Coffee was nice too :-)

Drinking in cups was grubby ran out of medium take away ones floor was dirty tables had glasses on em and only one member of staff running around. Not exactly cheap either especially when u get a cup half full the rest is foam.

To the lady in glasses working today, next time you forget someone’s order because you were chatting instead of working the right thing to do is apologise.

We were sitting in costa and one of the employees came up to us and told us to get out! we were just about to order drinks and had to leave!! do not recommend you should go here, take a trip to starbucks instead.

We went to the open one in redditch not the shop which is much better and you are served qujcker than the one in the centre, it needs to be improved

Came here today and was not a lovely visit was served at till with what do you want and then walked away halfway through order then when made coffee just looked and pointed ask for chocolate sprinkles and didn't even acknowledge. Too busy talking to work colleagues about there holiday. They were all to busy talking and having a laugh when the tables need emptying... Would not recommend this location

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from a member of staff yesterday at the large Costa in the town centre. We had ordered food, 2 panini’s and a toasted sandwich so after we paid we sat at a table as we have always done ready for when it was done. Shortly after a member of staff came over the table next to us and asked if these were their order, we realised it was ours so asked the lady, she then said to us ‘if you disappear after you’ve paid then we can’t find you’ o said sorry, we didn’t know we had to wait. She said ‘ well we haven’t got enough staff to bring them over’ we’ve never been told that before or even on that day. I said well we weren’t told that, and that’s not our fault. She then proceeded to say ‘we’ll I’m a customer and I’m just working today as we’re short’ she was extremely rude and miserable. I commented that customer service left a lot to be desired here! She glared at me and was very rude. If she didn’t want to be polite to customers she shouldn’t be working with the public, especially in catering, and at this time of year! She was rude, unprofessional and I would not be returning to that costa due to her awful behaviour as a member of staff! I could honesty not believe how someone in a public service could be so rude!costa, you should be ashamed!

Shocking company my mom asked for some tap water in her baby bottle cooler to cool my sisters bottle and she was refused! Disgraceful!

I was in Redditch for the day and had time to kill; I sat in this Costa for a couple of hours, drinking coffee and watching Netflix off the wifi. The service and facilities were up to the standard I expected; the staff were friendly and accommodating—a good selection of seating and all the usual food/drink options.

Just witnessed a customer be completely ignored by a tall male member of staff whilst he carried on his conversation on his mobile phone. Even though the customer very clearly requested assistance the member of staff just ignored him. Even after said gentlemen aired his distane quite loudly he was still ignored. Appalling service from a so called service industry. Lazy staff should have known better. Cudos to the female staff member who stepped up.

I love going to Costa for a social chat, but the lack of cleanliness is definately an issue now, it needs addressing. The Seats on the Chairs are disgustingly filthy, especially the material ones that cannot be wiped over, which should be replaced. It gives a very poor impression to visitors, the trays are also in a state. I would have thought during the pandemic would have been the ideal time to do such a makeover! The only reason people go to this particular Costas in Redditch is because of the footfall and popular position. The staff are great, especially Nick who is very pleasant and helpful. They do their best in these conditions.

Nice an chilled indoor Costa. Otherwise all the same... Good service and good level of cleanliness. Easy service, no issues.

This Costa has been shut for some time but has now re opened. I was impressed with the covid protection regime, good spacing and tables cleaned between customers. The coffee is as good as ever, no doubt we will return more often in the future.

Coffee excellent as ever. Understaffed: we waited and waited and waited. It wasn't like the queue was long. COVID requirements were good and the track and trace was not the source of the slowness.

Highly militant staff member re Covid guidelines. The male staff member at around 11am on 4/9 seemed to highly enjoy telling an older who entered through the 'wrong' door that they must exit & re-enter through the 'correct' door. He was equally arsey over queuing distances. We weren't asked for our details for track & trace purposes though (presumably because that would have meant doing actual work rather than bossing people around).

I had a hot chocolate there about 5 years ago. I enjoy it very much

Stopped for coffee and cake. After being served, the girl behind the counter began biting her nails then served a customer whilst she picked off her eyelashes!!! Another girl drank some water from a large bottle. Not a pleasant experience. Won't be going again.

I'm a bit disappointed with staff that decided to closed half of the place for cleaning purpose,around 3pm, not letting anyone to seat there in till the end of the day, and I have to mention this is not the first time.

The staff are friendly, helpful and professional at all times.

Warm astomosphere and you can rest with a warm coffee or hot chocolate, staff are friendly with professional manner.

Why does it take 3 people so long to make a cup of coffee? When we finally got our coffee the tray it was served on was ringing wet, both underneath and in the tray, so that when you put the tray on the table it soaked the table, the saucers were then also soaked from the wet tray. The muffin was nice but generally not a very nice experience.

Coffee sometimes a bit weak. I often ask for brown toast but on a regular basis, they haven’t got brown bread and sometimes no bread at all. Surely it’s not difficult to ensure that they have bread in stock?

I go in here with my daughter, I don't drink coffee myself but I can get a nice cup of tea and a biscotti mmmmm, love some of the seats, sadly I dont seem to go at the right time the nice seats are always occupied, no matter one day I'll grab one and stick a reserved sign on it ha!

Always friendly staff, always clean and welcoming. Comfortable seats, Charging points and, as is usually the case with large franchises it runs like a well oiled machine. Very welcoming!

I was served by a man called Nick who was outwardly racist about a colleague, completely unacceptable. Im sure the other staff are nice but this man should not be working there or interacting with the public for his actions. I will not be returning if he is still working there.

Coffee etc was fine just not very impressed with staff doing the cleaning while you're having your coffee. Surely it should be done either before it opens or after it closes.

Salted caramel latte was not to my liking...didn't like the milk they used, tasted like long life. Friendly staff

Store has recently had a refurbishment which had made it feel light & airy. Service is always friendly with a good range of snacks & cakes available. The costa app is good, would be nice to be able to link payments directly pto the scanning of points so its just one process but hardly a deal breaker.

Good coffee if not a bit pricey.

A typical Costa outlet with friendly staff, fast service and good coffee. Situated ideally near Primark and is quieter than the other large costa in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.

THE WIFE HAD A HOT CHOCOLATE SEE IT WAS LOVELY

This is a great place to take a load off your feet and relax. A good people watching spot too as it is located in the hub of the town's shopping centre, which is always busy.

Please lets be clear, i am reviewing the little enclosed costa near Primark in Redditch! The staff are wonderful and make this the best costa i have ever frequented, unlike the large ooen air one near boots. I would recommend this busy little branch to anyone, the staff are always helpful, friendly and willing to oblige awkward customers like me! 😊

After a power cut and troubles with the tills, Nick was very professional and informed customers as they came in, he was straight on the phone to sort the issue ensuring all his customers where alright, excellent service and a happy nature in what could of been a stressful situation..... well done Nick xx

I come here a bit too often but always have a fantastic service from all the staff but Nicholas is an absolute star! He is so professional but in a completely friendly and approachable way. Nothing is ever too much trouble and we always leave with a smile on our faces!

Nice food and drinks there, comfortable seating

I use Costa outlets numerous times weekly throughout the UK and never, I repeat never, have I felt the need to waste precious time to write a review on how totally disgusting the customer service skills exercised by the Manager at this branch were. We placed our order at the till with a very friendly young lady. We then duly waited in line for our goods. I popped into River Island just next to Costa to find my husband still standing waiting for our drinks on my return about 5 minutes later. He said he couldn't believe what he was seeing - there had been about half a dozen customers who had ordered and paid after us and yet who had been served before us. I made a polite request to the Manager who was working the Barista machine just to check that she did have our orders - the response was curt and blunt - waived the ticket at me and said "I'm doing them now"!!! That was me told then!! Husband's drink was produced first followed by my Soya Chai Latte - wasn't even asked if I wanted cinnamon on top - which for anybody who has never had this drink is what makes it in my opinion. I took the lid off and went back and asked if I may have some cinnamon on top - no apology or anything - no eye contact. Walked away and started to drink our drinks and my husbands was just warm - not hot as we had requested and also don't believe the extra shot or extra ginger that we had asked for had been put into the drink!! Possibly the rudest, most unpleasant person I have ever come across working in a customer service environment - if you don't like people don't work with the general public!! As a final point, I have identified this person as Manager as that is what her filthy dirty shirt said she was - I was not able to see the badge with her name on unfortunately. Fortunately I was only on a one off visit to Redditch but feel sad for people using this outlet on a regular basis if this is the kind of service you are getting.

Nicholas made our coffee meet up even more enjoyable with his pleasant friendly nature, efficient and jolly. Set the tone for our family meet up and made for a good atmosphere.

We visit Costa coffee on a regular basis(this particular one about twice a month).I decided to have the new festive caramalised orange latte.I had visited the Longbridge Costa the previous week & ordered this drink & the guy put the slice of orange on top & sprinkles to decorate.Therefore when this drink & the cappuccino was finished today in Redditch I politely asked if I could have some sprinkles on the latte(they were in a tub in front as I spoke).The assistant said No in a stern manner you dont get them with that drink!I said oh,its just I have already had this drink & they were on there so then I was told its only if you was having a hot chocolate but your having coffee! I would have offered to pay the extra but wasnt given the choice & it was only when I sat down realised ypu can have the new festive christmas coffee blend for a liitle more charge but wasnt offered that either!All round bad service & definitely not service with a smile!We did stop later for another coffee at this shopping centre at a place named Coffee 1 by NEXT & coffee/choice & service was much better.

Routinely good standards locally whichever one I visit. (Although the one I visited in Barcelona was also good.) The coffee and food is always of a high standard and service efficient.

Overpriced dump, if you enjoy Sitting staring out of the window at all the sad scruffy trogs shuffling past, while drinking a cup of overpriced tepid slop, then go here

Had two small teas and could not drink as the tea pots were so dirty. When we raised this with a staff member she commented to her colleague "she wants a refund because she's 'grossed out' by the tea stains". No apology and the implication was that we were being unreasonably fussy. The pots were just filthy as we were able to wipe of some of the grime. Won't be going back.

Well Nick was to busy talking about his private life and very rude and UNPROFESSIONAL! Disgusting language! And the girl and The beige shirt needs a personality and learn to smile!! Costa usuall has pleasant and friendly staff. Not this Costa. It's terrible. I much prefer the staff at the other store.

It's a shame as I've been before with no issues, but on this occasion I was disgusted! I had a small mocha frappe, and removed 7 pieces of white plastic from my mouth and saw 2 more towards the bottom, no idea what I swallowed. 1 would be unacceptable but this was a joke and was only a small! Really bad!
