Toby Carvery Worcester in Worcester

Very disappointing with food I ordered the roast dinner sandwich which may have been made with left overs from lunch. The roast potatoes and pig in blanket were soo hard and dried up with the rest tepid with cold lumpy gravy. Won't be going back.

Not been to a Toby for many years and I was very surprised by the quality of the food. We had the carvery which had a choice of 4 meats and a great range of vegetables to choose from. Price was a bit expensive at £16.50 each (add £1.99 to go XL) but was nice food. Was quite busy Sunday lunch time but we still got a table. Car park is a little awkward with a tight entrance and exit. Recommended.

Great service with a smile from Kaitlyn and we were made to feel welcome. Enjoyed the food here. Second visit in 7 days while passing through from Wales.

Great food and staff were friendly, Mayya our server was on the ball and gave us great service all through the evening.

We got the table right by the serving space. Not so quiet but food was lovely as always and our server Mayya was lovely.

Very family friendly. Great carvery, good quality meats, friendly servers, excellent desert, and smooth Guinness.

Booked a table for breakfast and wish we hadn’t bothered. Worst breakfast ever. Eggs were solid, bacon you could re sole your shoe with, hash browns inedible and could be used to build a wall. Beans and tinned tomatoes ok but can’t really fail with them. Will never return. Staff were great though.

Went to Toby carvery this week with family, was served by a lovely waitress called Kiera, she was friendly, provided amazing service to us and made it a pleasant visit. She also assisted with any questions we had about the food, dealt with very well

Went in yesterday 9th April 25 for a carvery, the staff are brilliant, very helpful, the pub is lovely, sadly it's the food that let's it down, not the meat just the veg, all dry and hard. I only eat the veg being a vegetarian so I didn't eat much, but the desert was lovely.

Nice environment as the inside of the Toby Carvery is really pleasant and set out well, with clean and nice looking decor. The food is standard carvery so not top quality. Vegetables are kept under heat lamps, as standard, so are therefore dried out over time. Pork, gammon, turkey and beef are all available. Whilst the carvery is reasonably priced, the drinks can be a little pricey compared to a standard pub. All in all a pleasant experience, just remember that a carvery is always just a carvary.

Kayne makes this place. Will definitely be back.

A few points why I chose to come here :- 1) Ease of access. Plenty of parking space. Never ever one has to look for a space. 2) All the food items are available all the time at the buffet area.. 3) Spacious restaurant, plenty of different seating places, whether one arrives in group or an individual like me. 4) Friendly and kind staff. 5) Wifi access, but you have to go through a, not so cool, process Ohh and ya Bluelight card 20% discount on food. We often visit this Toby on our day off, for breakfast, we are always happily greeted by Kayne, hes always friendly & approachable. We have a little chat which is nice. The restaurant it's self has a good selection of breakfast items. It's a great start to the day!

Very nice and polite staff. I arrived later on for breakfast with only 15 minutes until they finished serving. Food was dried out and not looking its best by a long way. I was told that they don’t replenish to save food waste. Call me old fashioned, but my view is that if you buy a breakfast, you should get the same for your money irrespective of the time you purchase it. At the very least, it would have been nice to be advised of the situation when I arrived and before I paid.

I don't know if we were there too early or too late, but they seemed short staffed. We waited at the bar for about 5 minutes before someone showed up, tho she was right in the ball. Very very pleasant and attentive. Not only serving our drinks but also showing us to our seats and taking the carvery we were eating. When we got to the carvery it was unmanned tho, and we had to wait again for service. Some of the food had dried up under the hot lights (what was left - some of the food containers were empty). The hot lights also made some of the serving spoons too hot to pick up. Still, it was enjoyable all the same. The food was still tasty and the staff (although in short supply) were very nice. The last time we came for carvery, on a Sunday, the experience was 5 star.

Worst meal ever!!! We booked a table for mothers day for 8 people. We were sat at 2 different tables, the food was awful, fatty meat which was unedible,tasteless, not much choice and watery gravy. We had to wait 45 minutes for puddings (ice cream) and they bought them out at different times and forgot the childrens puddings so they were left waiting even longer. We were then given the bill for 10 carverys, they took the extra 2 off eventually and we were then charged an extra £2 for splitting the bill when paying, aswell as them making us work out the remainder as they couldn't figure it out. I voiced my disappointment to the manager who had no interest at all. I will never eat here again. Just terrible from start to finish.

Stopped there randomly. A small issue with our order which was resolved very quickly and efficiently. Food is good, but the people who work there will look after you extremely well. Would definitely go again. Nice walk along the Severn just behind the pub, easy parking, and welcomes dogs in the bar area.

Took my daughter for a birthday breakfast the sausages were chewy and the hash browns fatty the young girl behind the bar was friendly .

Apparently redone since the last time I went, not that you'd notice. Early evening visit, so quiet, was offered seats right by the carvery but declined as to hot. Asked for seats further back and was told, ok but I might forget you! I think this was supposed to be funny as the same line was used with another couple who asked to sit there too. Carvery meat was decent once we asked if there was fresh meat, as we didn't fancy sawing our way through the dried out ends of meat displayed, and there were plenty of vegetable choices. Okay but not amazing.

Dan served us nice food busy on Sunday. No complaints. Good meat selection. Feel very full!

Came here for Sunday lunch on 10/11/24. We were served by Ben who looked after us extremely well particularly checking my elderly inlaws were OK. Came here again 23-3-25. Again looked after extremely well by Ben. Polite friendly service as usual. Good nosh enjoyed by all.

Regularly go here. Dog friendly in the bar area. All good

Sunday is all about a carvery, but today it may as well had been vegetarian as the amount of meat that was served was very much below average. And when asked for a bit more I had looks and attitude and then given a sliver of meat. For the price of 15 pound it wasn't worth half. I have been here 4 times so far this year and each time it gets lower and lower with value. I'm not one to run any business down but I have to say, Try to steer clear....... Not for the public looking for a hearty, value for money meal.

Called in for breakfast. What a mistake. Bacon was uncooked, and the black pudding was harder than the plate. I did have sausage beans ete but it was all cold.

If you are a vegetarian beware. I ordered a vegetarian option. Only to find I was charged £15.49. On top of the carvery price! Whereas I have never been charge extra before! Staff refunded me when we queried the bill. They also tried to charge full carvery price for 2 children! We won't be going back.

Walk in and head to the bar to order our buffet breakfasts served by a rude barman. No guidance on where to go, where the buffet is or where the drinks station is. Seating was limited causing us to sit in a area that had chairs across restricting the area but any free tables had empty plates and glasses on them not cleared away. We head up to get our breakfasts to find the pile of plates available were all dirty with food still on them. Once we had our clean plates we found the selection to be quite poor. The bacon was absolutely disgusting like it had been cooked in brine and everything overcooked. The best items were the bread and beans. Went up again to get beans on toast to find all of the plates available again covered in old food and just vile with another customer of theirs mentioning they are all covered in food. Just shocking throughout and doesn't deserve 1 star. Go for breakfast elsewhere as this place is dirty, unhygienic and a terrible atmosphere.

The driver couldn't find us all the app clearly showed where we were . Food was dry and over cooked nowhere like the food when you eat in we wont be ordering again.

Ordered a sausage bap for delivery it came with one extra burnt sausage, cut in half. Food was inedible, then they refused to refund us…

Food as nice and hot, albeit dry. Chefs/Carvers looked like they hadn’t seen a fresh set of chef whites in over a week. General hygiene surrounding food questionable. Service good, nothing to write home about but nothing to complain about. Weird vibe walking in, felt like a pub for locals only.

roast pots were rock hard. No mash. Beef all fatty. massive blob of uncooked stuffin. quarter pot of gravy. well disappointed this time. if I lived near I would of taken back for a refund. i won't even give to my dogs. so annoyed.

Lovely dinner and made all the better with the attentive staff. I feel awful that I don’t know all their names but the lovely tall am in the white shirt is so caring and does his upmost to please everyone! Big shout out to Ben who works there, we didn’t have any children with us but watched how lovely he was with them and took time to listen to them and follow up their requests and checked with parents first. He was also lovely to us and looked after us too. He didn’t stop working the whole of the time we were there.

My partner and I decided to go here for breakfast. On arrival we were encouraged with how busy the place was and the welcome from the young girl on reception was absolutely on point, sadly from there the experience swiftly went down hill. I first went to get a cup of tea which is located near the buffet food area. I noticed there were no edible eggs available and the tinned tomato bowl only contained juice so decided it wasn’t a good time to collect food so went back to my table and drank half a cup of tea before trying again. When I returned there were still no eggs, so I asked the guy behind the counter if he could get some for me and he replied that they are always coming and would be here in a few seconds. I decided to put my toast in the rotating toast machine at that point so that it would be nice and hot for when I chose the rest of the items. The bread was not toasted on the first pass so I put it through again and the toast returned burnt. I knew that if I did the same thing again, I would end up with the same result so decided to stick with by burnt toast. The eggs had still not arrived. I stood and waited for a good ten minutes and still no sign of eggs, The guy who I had already asked for eggs was behind the buffet area moving a few things about and asked me if I was only waiting for eggs, He made me feel as if I could have my food without them. I replied that I was just waiting for eggs and that I didn’t want to take other items from under the heat lamps because I didn’t want the rest of my food to get cold while I waited for eggs. Eventually the eggs arrived by which time I had thrown the original piece of toast away because it was stone cold and burnt myself another slice. I plated up, just about leaving the skin on my hands from the ridiculously hot plastic spoons that were there to serve your own food and took my breakfast back to my table. The food was very poor quality, the hash browns were tough and inedible, the mushrooms appeared and tasted like they had been there for days. The eggs were overcooked and everything else was just very poor. I ate some of my meal and left a good amount, despite this being all you can eat. Who would want to go back for more? I did go for another cup of tea and noticed clearly dissatisfied people hanging around waiting for eggs again. I wouldn’t return here for breakfast and the experience has put me off returning for a roast dinner. There is a Harvester just across the road. I would recommend that you go there instead.

Plate was cold for the salmon en croute plus poor level of sauce so meal dry. Carvery was good lots of variety. Staff, Ben was very good and helpful.

Accused of lying!!!! Had a meat free carvery, I'm 38 years old and don't eat meat. When the bill came, 3 meat carvery's were on the bill. I said sorry mine was meat free. The young tall blonde male waiter said 'no it wasn't because you had a round plate not a square plate' - I said I've never eaten meat my whole life. He said who served you? as in the staff that cut the meat. I was given a plate I had no idea about the rules. Completely rude. I had even told him before going up I was getting a meat free one. Soooo rude.

Kiera was a wonderful server for us today. Very attentive and even went and got some green beans for me. Especially as the restaurant was busy.
