Toby Carvery Worcester in Worcester

Worcester toby is100% better than Burnt Tree or Quinton. The food is fantastic, the staff are lovely and the atmosphere is cosy and very welcoming. There is only one improvement to make and that is to build a toby in Kidderminster and move the chef and manager there.

Food was great as always - if you've been to a Toby Carvery, you know what you're getting. Great food and minimal waiting times. Leaving this review to give our server Dan a mention. Very attentive and quick to come to us.

Booked table in advance and check-in was fine, staff pleasant. There was a queue for the carvery, about 15 minutes but the main issue was having paid a weekend premium, the lamb had run out which is one of the reasons for going at the weekend. Later the turkey was out. Bill came and the food was more than advertised on the Toby app and website for the extra meats weekend carvery. So while the food they had was all okay, the cost both from advertised rate and the fact the extra factor was missing was excessive hence I cannot award more than three stars overall.

Dan our server was fab. Very prompt great service. Nothing was too much of a problem. Very pleasantly surprised to have Lamb on the menu.

Came here for Sunday lunch on 10/11/24. We were served by Ben who looked after us extremely well particularly checking my elderly inlaws were OK.

Very lovely carvery here.! A good selection of meats and vegatables. Always put more on my plate than I can eat lol but I actually eat every bit it was so yummy!!!

I have been going here for many years. Always had a good meal and the staff are friendly attentive and prompt. It has been our favourite restaurant for many years. Always top of our list for places to eat out and good food and value. Highly recommended! Visited again in March this year and staff were great and as usual food was lovely. Special thanks to Kiera our server who was attentive and polite.

Warm welcome from Emily who managed my extreme needs caused by my disability . Labels on the dishes available at the carvery would have been useful as it is not always obvious.

Went to the Toby the other day with my family and the food was great. My waitress Fran was lovely and very helpful. Will definitely be returning :)

Had a very long wait at the carvery serving point, they were busy filling the takeaway boxes. When we finally got served, we had another wait for gravy. Could do with more staff..

First time here . We booked ahead as live locally and it always looks busy. We arrived early . It was busy and we waited for our table to be available in the restaurant area. Alot of tables with dirty plates , glasses etc left . Used toilet in bar area. Messy and looked like no one had checked it's cleanliness. Bar service was slow but once our table was ready we moved. Staff seemed busy . No one came over to us to take order so in the end we walked up to bar and order was taken. No receipt offered so I asked how do the carvery team know that we've paid etc ? No one seemed bothered. Lots of meats on offer but the beef was very fatty and I've never seen meat carvered do thinly so this was disappointing and we felt that we received a tiny amount of meat in comparison to the other establishments in the area. Cauliflower Cheese was rock hard . Everything else was OK, gravy watery . Although the carvery is just down the road from us, we would probably not return for the above reasons . We felt it was not good value for money nor did we think the restaurant/ tables were particularly clean

Ordered 2 meals to be delivered,when order finally arrived the server had forgot to put in veg/potatoes for the one meal.lady on phone was polite but no way was I going to drive to other side of Worcester to collect the veg we had paid to be delivered,we were already really hungry and meal Luke warm,so had to share veg which meant we didn't have enough to eat and it and it was very disappointing.Not sure why the server thought we would pay over £15 for a meal and not want veg and potatoes with it??

It was very busy, however the staff managed brilliantly. We were given a table quickly and Dan made sure we had everything we needed throughout. The food was very good and the staff serving it were friendly. All in all a very nice visit.

Had a take out carvery, it was OK to be honest but as it was £15 per head I would really expect really really nice. That just my standard though. It was very very busy inside, so other people must think it's good value

Worst experience ever, a carvery plus a small soft drink for 1 person cost £17. Absolute bloody rip off, I thought a carvery was supposed to be good value, this one certainly wasn't. Roast potatoes were burnt to a crisp, if you like beef that is chewy (like chewing on chewing gum) for 10 minutes then be my guest. Gravy was like warm water. Food was warm not hot. The plate was hotter than the centre of the earth. The overall service of the place was just crap. When i complained about the food, I may as well have been talking to a cardboard cut out girl. She had no character or empathy! Went to the toilet and couldn't wait ti get out of there because the smell was just horrendous. It smelt like it hadn't been cleaned for six months or more. Absolutely disgusting place, over priced, Unwelcoming, appalling customer service and just dirty. I highly recommend that nobody comes here to eat!

You can't beat a carvery and this was one of the best from a Toby.

I've never had such a poor meal. Meat overcooked and 2 tiny slices. The beef was being served to someone ahead of me and the few scraps that were carved were dry as a bone and were disintegrating. I had the pork and it was dry and unpleasant. The mashed potatoes were inedible with a crust on top, The peas could kill if loaded into a gun. Mac 'n cheese was in hard lumps - inedible. Roast potatoes and carrots were ok. Cauliflower tips edible but the huge stalk wasn't. Stuffing dry as a stick. There was something in a pan with a dry, brown scum on top - goodness knows what it was but, as I couldn't get a spoon into it, I will never find out. The Yorkshire pud shattered into shards when I tried to cut it. There were no greens, onions or crackling with the pork. Everything had been left under hot lamps for hours and there was no awareness that things need to be refreshed. Even my orange juice had a funny taste and was on the beige side of orange. Heaven help you if you wanted vegetarian gravy as you would have had to dig through a thick crust to see what was underneath. This place has fallen so low that I can't see it surviving. If I hadn't been so hungry I would have walked out. I had the pork, four roast potatoes and some carrots. To be fair the manageress didn't charge me and admitted there had been several complaints. The Royal Oak at Broadwas is only a few miles away and their vegetables and Yorkshires are excellent and they serve vegetarian gravy individually, on request, in a gravy boat. They can teach this disaster how to do a carvery and I won't make the same mistake again!

Had a nice all you can eat breakfast and relaxing drink and food was nice but coffee too strong for me but therr you go cant have everything sat at the table in the far corner with lovely view s of the Malvern hills .just had another visit and had a carvery ,food was nice and staff very friendly , excellent.

The staff were absolutely brilliant and were very accommadating. The food was wonderful. The only issue was waiting over 10 minutes to have the gravy and condiments refilled. This caused a backlog of people waiting.

Sometimes a little hit & miss, but carvery was very good this time, apart from the roast potatoes which were as hard as rock. Dan our server was attentive, friendly & made us a lovely chocolate sauce sundae.

Not been for a while but it was not up to its usual standards this time, Arrived at 9.30 for the breakfast buffet on a Saturday. Black pudding and mushrooms were dryed out. Hashbrowns were mush. Bacon and sausages were great though. Overall (for a buffet), it was a bit below its normal high standards. But had good breakfasts there before so was dissapointed this time. Parking & Service good, but there was some rubbish dumped in the middle of.the carpark and litter all over the place, which does not give a good impression at all. Come on Toby, you can do better!!

Came to the establishment at 1.30pm today and our server ben was just lovely, the food was great as always, service was dealt with a smile the whole time. Really efficient and professional waiter.
