Dan the server was brilliant, very punctual and served with a smile. I would recommend booking and arriving early as it gets very busy and the only downside is the small carpark.

Just eat delivery - ordered last week and the veg carvery was missing, called to complain and was told young staff and chef had to leave early. Had a refund so thought I would order today for delivery again. Wish I hadn’t. I asked for no carrots and there were a pile of them, roast potatoes were rock solid and dry and not edible, couldn’t even bite into them , must of been left from yesterday !! It was also all cold. I will never risk this again. Had to bin it !!!

Nice friendly atmosphere and family friendly. The food was good, and our servers were brilliant. Ryan and Grace were brilliant, super friendly, engaging and helpful - really made a difference to our experience.

What a disappointment 😞 I've been to plenty of Toby's and this experience was the absolute worst. I actually feel sick while I type this. Only a couple of roast potatoes left and they where rock hard, couldn't even cut them with a knife. The meet was incredibly dry. Peas had a white tinge to them and had completely dried out as well. Basically all of it was dry and nasty, mash potato was cold, Yorkshire puddings so greasy it coated the inside of my mouth 🤢 and the gravy was just thin brown water so didn't even bother with it. Staff un-attentive and didn't ask once how anything was, left waiting for an age for the bill yet really not busy at all and didn't get shown to our table just told to "go through there and it's in the right" Come on !! Nothing about this is acceptable is it??

Not that clean at 3.25pm today. No toilet paper in the ladies toilets,dirty floor A lot of dirty tables was taken to a table pretty promt but took a long time to take drinks order. The carvery took a while for Ryan to arrive could do with a bell. The plastic server's were red hot to serve yourself.

Amy’s service was brilliant and made us feel welcome! Food was great and would come again

A lively pub which was very busy. The food was lovely. Service was very slow at the bar and the carvery - they clearly don't have enough staff. The atmosphere was lively but spoilt by small children running around the pub.

We popped in as we were going straight past the door, we all fancied a nice carvery. We stood at the door for a couple of minutes as lady behind the bar was busy doing drinks, she did shout over and say she will be with us in a couple of minutes which I totally understood, She was running around like a headless chicken trying to do the drinks orders aswell as seating people, aswell as answering the phone. She took us to our table and told us our server would come over shortly. Which then she came back to take our drinks order. We had our orders taken quite quickly, we took it in turns to get our food as we had a toddler with us. I stood for 10minutes at the carvery waiting to be served for one of the carvers to walk straight past me, despite the manager shouting to the carvers to come out to me,and then when my husband went up to get his he was then waiting another 5 minutes for someone to serve him, There was hardly any meat left, all the veg wasn’t very warm and very dry. Server took our plates and asked if we wanted anything else, we said yes to desserts, 10 minutes later we still hadn’t had our dessert order taken. I then spoke to the manager regarding this as we had to go up and ask to pay our bill which she apologised that we hadn’t had our desert order taken. She then resolved the issue. We won’t be returning in a hurry next time.

Pub is easily accessible ( no steps ) and plenty of disabled parking spaces. Had a lovely carvery with lots of choice and very hot. Ben took our drinks and food order and he looked after us very well. Excellent meal and excellent service from Ben

Me and my friends and our children who have additional needs travel all the way from hereford to this Toby carvery because we very much enjoy coming here, the food was lovely and the staff very friendly, our server Dan was amazing we can't wait to visit again.

This was our first visit here as we normally go somewhere else for our Sunday roast, all I can say is that the Toby was so much better than our regular place, the meat was beautiful, nice atmosphere and friendly staff, Kaitlyn our server was very polite,the Toby will now be our new regular place for Sunday roast 😁👍

First carvery we're had in about 4 years & it was worth the wait.....Only gripe I had is I don't est much veg so usually just have meat,stuffing,graveyard & Yorkshire puddings. They've now changed It so the carvery staff give you a Yorkshire pud & can't load your plate up like used to. Other than that we had a nice meal & friendly staff. Parking can be a nightmare & only a few disabled parking spaces

I am very disappointed with the food provision. After a long 7+ journey from Holyhead, our party of 4 pax were expecting a nice , traditional carvery only to be told No Lamb (!!), No beef !! Despite excuses from the chef ( pleasant lad), I feel we were not provided with stated/ anticipated offering(s). We couldn't eat pork or gammon, so it was basically a 'Turkey only' meal. That's unacceptable in my humble opinion. I'd like some recompense from Toby Carvery, please. Thank you in anticipation of a positive response to my/ our complaint. We've long been supporters of your business throughout the UK so this experience soured our last holiday evening on tour. ☹️🤨🤔😬

We attended on a Thursday evening around 7pm, despite being a busy period we were taken care off with a couple of mins. Table and areas clean and inviting. Carvery was delicious however it had a delay change over of meats so availability when choosing was reduced, good variety of vegetables and the kids had seconds of the mac and cheese. Our server Dan was very welcoming, friendly warm, attentive to all our needs and full of smiles, could not ask for better. Thank you Dan.

Carvery was excellent. I was really impressed by the vegetarian options. The staff were very friendly and made for a pleasant lunch stop off.

Food was good as it always is. Down side: We never once saw our waitress and I know it was busy but a check in would have been nice. Didn't clear away table so we could order pudding. We had to get another waitress from a different area to clear the table and order pudding.

We had Grace as her server, she was wonderful. Professional and polite, didn’t leave us waiting. A silly rude lady was kicking off at staff whilst we were here, they dealt with it very well/calmly and I believe she was asked to leave.

Very bad today. There was no turkey or lamb available, only some very ratty beef, pork and gammon. We had to wait 5 minutes for gravy. I appreciate they were busy but it wasn’t very good today. Staff seemed like they’d all had a super stressful day. One guy said “please don’t shout at us” when he had to say they didn’t have any gravy ready as if he’d been shouted at already. I felt sorry for them, it’s not their fault. £67 for 2 adults and 2 kids shockingly bad value for what we had today.
