Our experience here was woeful. It was not busy here at all, yet an order comprising of two coffees and two sandwiches took almost half an hour to arrive. The bacon and brie sandwich was stone cold and the bacon was anaemic. The food is basic at best, and frankly not great. The brie was thick and cold also. We were expecting ‘deli’ food but we got sandwiches that were worse than Tesco ones. I would not recommend this place to anyone that’s after good food and good service

Poached eggs on toast & coffee - Absolutely delicious! Lovely little place & charming staff!

23rd July 2024, thank you to the team who greeted us this morning who were willing to accommodate my request for a long black coffee. lovely coffee shop and much more, didn't have food on this occasion but will likely on the next visit.

Quirky little cafe always has different paintings by local artists on the wall. It is extremely expensive, food is good but there is a Costa up the road which is probably half the price. Always hot in there for some reason.

Microwave poached hard eggs, not even the decency to come to the table and take the plate away with a fresh meal, brought out two eggs separately on a plate by some clueless young attempt at a chef

Quite a nice cafe, although we had an Oreo cheesecake which definitely wasn't fresh. Other than that pretty good place

£6.75 for a sandwich, a 20 minute wait with only 4 tables of customers and 2 cooks. Pancetta and Brie but I’m pretty sure it’s streak bacon. Should have returned it but hungry and too far down the road. Meh. Should have gone to Costa.

I’m surprised there are so many bad reviews because we really enjoyed our lunch. I had Mediterranean salad which was delicious and contained about £2 worth of artichokes! My elderly mother didn’t complain about the coffee so it must have been good! The lady who served us was lovely and very patient with my mum. It’s dog friendly too.

Ordered two sausage sandwiches. After 30 mins I chased it up but received no update. Gave it another 15 minutes and ended up walking out. It was busy but if people are having to wait that long for such a basic order, there is obviously something going very wrong. Very poor experience.

The first cafe was full so we came to this one which was quite empty (probably should have seen this as a warning sign). Cafe run by teenagers, had to send a cappuccino back because it tasted like a watery mocha. Food took an hour to arrive and one of the dishes was only a peanut butter on sourdough toast so when this came out with our full English breakfasts, it was cold, dry and not on sour dough but maybe some whole grain bread from the local coop down the road. We witnessed another customer who had come in shortly after us, walking to the kitchen doorway to ask where his sausage sandwich was after an hour of being there too :/ defo skip this one!

Waited 45 mins just for a bacon sandwich. People were leaving and cancelling their orders. The service needs a real overhaul.

Friendly efficient service with delicious cakes & at last somewhere that serves hot coffee. The coffee & walnut cake & biscoff cheesecake were amazing 😋.

Amazing little coffee shop, so cosy!

We were looking forward to dining in one of Henley's cafes. The first one we passed was full so we chose this one, big mistake. We ordered a pancetta and brie panini and a cooked ham salad sandwich plus drinks which came to £17.53 in total. Firstly the place appeared to be run by kids and they were letting their friends go behind the counter which was unhygienic. Our table had stuff still on it which I had to ask one of the lads to clear on his way back from serving. We ordered our meal at 1pm. It took till 1.40pm for our food to arrive and when it finally did, my husband ended up with a processed ham and cheese sandwich and my panini was dry and floury. Apart from the obvious waiting issue the actual food itself was not worth the price. We will not be visiting this cafe again.

Very friendly. However, I was disappointed that no prices were shown on the menu behind the counter. We will visit again and check prices before we order.

Average at best. Saturday afternoon and place was not busy and atmosphere felt awkward. Staff as well looked like they couldn’t be bothered being there. Food was decent enough but not great.

Not a good experience! £22.40 for 2 paninis an Americano coffee,a tea and a bowl of chips. The drinks were served reasonably quickly but the food took 45 mins. Cheap French stick plastic ham and cheese, yuk! Same with mine, tomato, avocado and salad covered in balsamic vinegar, again yuk! Chips were covered in meat fat. The waitresses were in and out the supermarket next door 4 times while we were waiting so obviously they had run out of everything! Nothing Italian about the food. Never again!

So looking forward to a spot of lunch today!..alas it was very disappointing. We had to wait 45 minutes for 2 Paninis & a portion of Fries..our tea & coffee were finished by the time our food came. The fries arrived 10 minutes before our Paninis. They were Served in a tiny bowl & seemed to be coated in what seemed to be a meat residue from previous orders? The Paninis were semi toasted french stick! No Italian Ham..but cheap Ham & my hubands Advacado/tomato Panini was drizzled in too much Balsamic Vinegar. Spoilt. £23.00 for disappointing food. Won't be going again.

A very pleasant place to enjoy a coffee and cake. The friendly service is excellent. The coffee is good and there is usually a reasonable selection of cakes. Space is at a premium as the interior is not extensive. Outside seating is available. In good weather, this is popular, but be advised that the road can be busy. The proximity to the traffic would not be my choice

Can’t believe they don’t have a high chair for a toddler and no kids menu either! I asked the waitress “Has nobody ever asked you for a high chair before” to which she replied “No never”. Really???!!!

No prices on the coffee or cake menu board, 2 Americano coffee and 1 cake for £9.90, fair enough but when I asked for milk had to pay 50p each extra, not experienced this anywhere ever! Quite wrong in my opinion, service was not amazing or friendly, won't go again, plenty more coffee shops around

Overcooked egg with sausage on toasted bun, the bun was very hard. Sorry but won't be visiting again.

Very pleasant weekly coffees with the girls! Great staff Comfortable venue. Happy atmosphere. Selection of lunches available but haven't tried them yet. Pastries are deelish!

Stopped at Dolce half way through our bike ride today. Really friendly service and tasty coffee and cake.

We went for the Tapas and wine night last Friday. The food was tasty and good quality served in a really cosy atmosphere. The owner was friendly and we had a lovely chat. Felt like a wee oasis and a million miles away from real life. Excellent value for money.

V slow service for just 2 lattés. Nervous young male waiter - felt sorry for him being left alone to serve 3 tables by the lady owner. Stressful atmosphere. Shan't go there again, sadly. New owner, I believe. Used their toilet but waiter had to ask owner to permit to do so. She seemed overbearing with the v able young man.

Quirky little cafe. VERY EXPENSIVE!!! £11.50 for a cappuccino (rather small one) and 2 poached eggs on one slice of toast which is ludicrous! Staff didn’t collect my place after I’d finished. Cappuccino was nice but way too small for the price they charge. Poached eggs on toast were nice but didn’t come with any condiments at all.

Piping hot weak foamy latte, both milk steamers were covered in milk and chocolate and the young man operating the coffee machine didn't bother wiping them. I have actually reminded him of the procedure and he just said "okay" and continued not wiping them. Whenerever in any café, just look at the state of the coffee machine, if it doesn't look appelaing, don't order anything. Poached eggs looked microwaved.

Coffee is great and the cannoli even better.

As much as I like to support small local businesses this one was awful, staff were very apologetic and polite but 35 minutes in an near empty place to wait for a panini ?? Couple behind me had been waiting 50 minutes. Asked for a refund and went to Costa, took 2 minutes to get food there.

I’ve been here before and rated it so highly, but today after £29 on 4 panini and 2 coffee, I’m sorry I won’t be back. The panini took 25 minutes to make and came out in 2 orders. Daughters had eaten theirs by time we got ours. Ingredients quality was awful and the panini wasn’t even hot! Such a waste of money!

20 minutes I had to wait for my takeaway coffee. No organisation from the girls working there. They didn't have a clue. Never coming back

This used to be a nice place to go where you could get a very nice Italian coffee and breakfast or treat. Have been here now 3 times after a change of owner and it unfortunately is one of the worst experiences I have had yet, food is awful (even a simple omelette), coffee is really bad to the point we had a greese film on top of coffee. It is disappointing and not cheap as we paid £26 for an omelette, fried egg on toast and x2 cups of coffee, and orange juice. They were friendly enough and gave us £5 back. This is not somewhere I would want to eat or drink again. Will not be recommending or going there again - sorry.

Was really looking forward to this coffee as I have had it before and loved it. However it was really disappointing- we ordered two flat whites and they arrived piping hot but very weak and milky. I went back up to order a round of toast and the young man who took my order forgot so after 25minutes waiting I had to remind him. Two pasty looking slices of sliced white bread (not the sourdough that was advertised) eventually arrived with no apology for the delay. Such a shame as the shop looked promising but we won’t return. On a positive note, the cooked breakfast looked lovely.

Not great to be honest. Food took a while to make and was pretty bland, and only got one slice of toast with my eggs. The coffee was good, but unfortunately it came after food as they had forgotten the drinks order. It was a pretty straight forward order. Out of 2 cafés in the village you'd expect them to be on it in terms of wanting to be the best. I won't be going back to be honest.

We were staying in the area and ended up trying this cafe for breakfast. The young man who was serving when we arrived, appeared clueless. Did not know all the items on the menu. We asked for 2 small half sized Traditional English breakfasts, one with tea, one with coffee. Another female member of staff came out from back of cafe and had to assist him with the order. (Over £18 for 2 half sized breakfasts with a drink) we queried the price, as full size breakfasts were listed as £9 each. And we had only requested the small half size breakfasts. We were told that was the price! Breakfasts were just ok. When the young man bought the tea over, he spilt it onto me. When I asked for salt, I was given a pot of pepper. Service was shoddy at best. The worst thing was, upon leaving, we noticed another bakery and cafe only a few doors down, which we have since discovered has great reviews! Don't bother going in this cafe unless you want a long painful service from staff!

Lovely little gem..fabulous staff polite welcoming, friendly and helpful.. They had a few special offers on the menu..great information regarding their menu and efficient service.. Great value for I would highly recommend a visit..

Was really disappointed with my food and when I complained the manager was really rude. I would never return here, even if the food was free! Also it looks quite rundown inside and needs a good clean.

Really good cafe for a little break from a long drive. They also have panini, sandwiches, toast, and some more things to eat. They also have very good italian style coffee.

Honest review. Food was good and my coffee was even better but it did take a while to arrive. Also my “Italian” breakfast did not come with a Sun dried tomato, it was a regular tomato as you can clearly see. Staff are “nice enough” when taking the order however there was an instant where they asked a gentleman to move to accommodate other people. That didn’t sit right, I understand that it’s a small place but he was trying to enjoy his coffee. (there is seating in the back) I never met Maisie, but she was very nice and friendly on the phone.

I had an absolutely brilliant & wonderful smoked salmon & brie hot panini with chips this afternoon (Sunday 7th August) & a pot of lovely Earl Grey Tea, served wonderfully piping hot and delicious Ty ok boot. The service is absolutely, especially if you or served by either Karolina, Agata, Maisy or Angie along with all the staff they provide you with wonderful food & drinks of all sorts, along with as alcohol license. And a wonderful friendly welcome.... If want to have a relaxed afternoon in Henley-in-arden, then I would always recommend Dolce Caffe

Stopped for a breakfast on way back from Stratford upon Avon. Great coffee and we all enjoyed poached eggs and avocado. Accommodated one who required gluten free bread. Nice decaf tea.

Slow poor service, low quality ingredients. Had to return 2 out 3 meals, 3rd was barely acceptable. Not authentic Italian. Although not expensive it was still a shambles, at least the chef/owner accepted my request for a full refund. I wish had checked the reviews prior to going, that’s my failing.

Popped in last night for the first time and were made to feel very welcome by the owners. Superb cakes and wine. We didn't try the tapas but I have no doubt we will do!

But the food was late and just barely warm and not that great anyways and the owner’s nonchalant attitude soured what could’ve been a great experience in a quiet little cafe. What a fantastic cafe. Little Italy. Excellent coffee. Panini & salad delicious. I had a glass of Primitivo which was superb quality. Will definitely travel back here just to visit this place.

Looked very nice but it was advertised on Google as being open till 2300 hours. Staff stated that this was incorrect. I have updated their opening times. Something the staff/owner should have rectified themselves.

Owner made me buy something so my daughter could use the toilet. Toilets were limited due to covid,- Unfortunately this owner was far from sympathetic to the situation and said I must purchase something in quite an aggressive manor and told me there were toilets...

Very nice staff, coffee and mango cheesecake!

We had a delicious lunch on Saturday and returned for breakfast on Sunday. Both meals were delicious and very good value for money. Service was friendly and helpful. We loved the truffle oil suggestion to sprinkle on our poached eggs.

I wasn't going to review it because I didn't want anyone else to find it. Friendly, courteous, amazing coffee and the only place I know where you can get fantastic Italian pastries without getting robbed or mugged on the way back to your car.

Called in here Friday morning for coffee, before attending a funeral nearby. Our coffees were excellent, nice and fresh and hot. Friendly young lady who brought our coffees to our table. Nice to see an independent coffee establishment doing well.

Wanted to support an independent and, for a change, I was NOT disappointed. The chap serving was smartly dressed and courteous. My flat white was wonderfully made and my raspberry and white chocolate muffin was delicious. Thank you.

This little gem in Henley-in-Arden is my safe haven for lunches without gluten! Delicious Mediterranean style salads that aren’t too leafy are served with buffalo mozzarella cheese that is melt in the mouth gorgeous! The coffee is great too and there’s a fine selection of wines if you fancy a glass with your lunch. Love the concept of being able to drizzle your olive oil and balsamic to your taste 😀

Bellissimo trovarsi come a casa, anche se si trova 2:40 di volo lontani da casa. Molto accogliente pulito e soprattutto molto ospitale anche dal proprietario. Confronto allagrandezza tanta scelta di affettati e desert's . Caffe fantastico e colazioni perfetti come un vero bar Italiano Vini e tanto prosecco fantastico❤ Consiglio a tutti ad andarci.
