Good for a drink, Bad for gluten free food

It’s pretty good usually very busy, sometimes the staff aren’t very friendly and are inexperienced. It’s lovely when there are nice workers.

Used to be a lovely place to stay. This time the room had dirty cups when we arrived and had an odd smell. Good sized portions in the pub. Food isn’t as good as once was, with the exception of breakfast. Room was tired and needs tlc. Brown marks on the wall and pillows were flat. Unfortunately we probably wouldn’t stay again. Expected more for the money.

La señora que nos atendió fue amable y explicó cómo elegir (es un poco abrumador al principio!). Mi único comentario sería que creo que necesitan más asientos interiores. Había bastante espacio desperdiciado, donde posiblemente podrían haber puesto algunas mesas pequeñas. Estaba muy ocupado y la gente tenía que esperar mesas.

We enjoyed a really lovely lunch here on Valentine’s Day. Excellent food in a very relaxed and friendly environment, we were served by Sasha who allowed us to linger and looked after us very attentively.

Definitely 5* service from Mel who was attentive and offered good food/wine advice. My Fish n Chips was tasty as was my friend’s vegetarian option… Many thanks for a memorable evening.

Los precios son muy razonables y la experiencia muy superior en comparación con las trampas turísticas locales como Sally Lunn. Definitivamente vale la pena una visita.

Buen pub Me gusta aquí. Vine a ver el rugby. Mi única crítica es que los televisores son demasiado pequeños. Definitivamente podría hacer con una televisión más grande!

What an awful experience. We simply came to enjoy an early evening drink in the sunshine. When my husband politely asked what the difference was between two beers we were told to leave. The barman was so rude and unfriendly and gave no explanation other than saying my husband had been in recently and asked too many questions. He last went over six months ago. He obviously had the wrong person. I was told that if I was with him I had to leave too. No explanation. Safe to say we will NEVER go back.

We were in Bath on a month long trip to the UK. I have been to Bath before and I really like being in that city. It's like a home away from home. People are always so nice there. I met a girl from a local college that I met at the airport and she worked at this restaurant, I believe her name is Audrey, she has blonde hair, sorry if I forgot your name! lol...Anyway, she told us to stop there to have breakfast. She prepared some fruit smoothie for me and my wife and we bought other stuff also. Her and the crew were very nice and the food was fantastic. I am sure glad she suggested to stopping. Place was hard to find but we finally found it. It's across the street from the Bath's main entrance. We never got to say goodbye wanted to at least let them know we enjoyed stopping there and talking to her and the crew. Little things like this make it a fun trip. I went in with a friend and immediately got asked to sit outside for some unspecified reason, Sat outside and was then told I looked too ‘chavy’ by a lady who really didn’t look too much better imo. Since when does clothing define your personality?

Very disappointed with the experience at this branch. I arrived at 3.30pm on a Sunday afternoon after an afternoon’s site seeing, hoping for a sit down and a nice cup of coffee in a proper cup and saucer. Unfortunately, the staff served my coffee in a paper cup without informing me first. I explained that I didn’t want coffee in a paper cup, yet despite there being numerous ceramic cups available, I was told that they were not serving with ceramic cups and admitted to me that it was because they were closing in half an hour and didn’t want any more washing up. The staff were two young girls obviously desperate to see the customer leave so they could close up (they close at 4 on Sundays) on time. Not at all a welcome atmosphere, I felt like an inconvenience to them and will not be returning to this branch.

To the barista here who kindly let me have a free hot chocolate when the card machine wasn't working, I can't thank you enough. I really needed it.
