As a regular customer of Soho Coffee Bath, my experience has been nothing but positive. Whether I'm grabbing a coffee to go or staying to do some work, I find it an ideal place with its warm rustic design, plenty of comfortable seating with plug sockets, air conditioning, and central location. What sets Soho Coffee apart from other cafés in Bath is the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, who often recommend food and drinks they know I'll like. It's this personal touch that keeps me coming back.

I’ve come here often recently as last week I came for the first time, and the service was great. The guy serving me was very polite, and that experience made me want to come back and buy another coffee, perhaps make it a regular thing as the cafe is on my trip back from work. But today, I came in and waited for my order to be taken, whilst there was no queue, and 2 girls stood in-front talking and blankly staring at me although it was obvious I hadn’t ordered as no one else was waiting. They carried on with their conversation, and a couple moments later a boy took my order. The service in general was pretty rude, no smiles, no thank you’s. I’d like to think as a barista myself, I’d always give better service than what I got today. Coffee also was missing an extra shot that I’d asked for… pretty disappointing.

Absolutely lacking in customer service. The guy serving couldn't look anymore not bothered and board if he tried. His colleague was just as bad rolling her eyes. The shop was pretty empty. Safe to say won't be coming back!

Nice breakfast, spacious seating, lovely cup of coffee. Recommend avocado toast and carrot cake. Staff were nice, happy and service was quick.

Bad breakfast. Lacking communication in the kitchen. Looks absolutely horrible. Ordered the caramel latte without whip cream but came with. And also extremely uncomfortable desk

Coffee was not the best. Full breakfast was delicious.

Rarely you come across coffee that is both bland and burnt… Soho Coffee in Bath somehow managed to achieve that ignominious combination.

They have no idea how to cook an egg. Fried on top of whatever was in the pan before. Rock solid yolk with burnt black edges. Cold tasteless coffee. Sticky tables, tomato sauce stuck to the walls. Rude staff. Of all the eateries in Bath, we unfortunately chose this. A mistake never to be made again.

Really disappointing visit Today. We stood waiting to be served without any acknowledgement whatsoever for a good ten minutes whilst two members of staff made drinks whilst another was sat behind the counter at a laptop. When we were finally served there was no sorry to keep you waiting just a grunt which I assumed to be what can I get you.

Excellent coffee shop, very friendly staff, very tasty food. Edit - 5/5 stars after realising there are toilets.

Offers a wide range of food,we opted for the jacket potato with tuna and mayo,the portion of tuna and mayo they put in the jacket potato was a tea spoon full,went to complain and they added more,still a small amount of filling,and the jacket potato was not the best,will not be going back,found a lovely cafe on pulteney bridge,that is 100 per cent better.

Staff are friendly and the drinks are tasty, there are charging points if you needed to charge your device too

Absolutely nothing to distinguish this chain from any of the other chains. At least you know what you're getting.

I am so sorry that I set my expectations too high for you and asked for a takeaway c/o a black coffee and bacon roll, to be ready at the same time. No queue so I thought you might be able to manage this. The roll was ready about ten minutes after the coffee was out out on the counter, so early I didn't realise it was for me. Yes, the coffee was replaced when I asked, but the sarcasm/attitude received was the same as the coffee, cool and delivered poorly. Bacon roll was as good as ever but seems it will be my last from here. I work in Bath so will enjoy finding alternative eateries. UPDATE 16th April I responded to the request to email them and sent a message on the 8th April. I have checked the email address used was correct and my spam folder. Think you can guess what I am going to write now....yep, no response over a week later. 19th All resolved

Lovely coffee shop in the centre if Bath. Plenty of seats and different areas. Staff friendly & attentive. Food delicious served quickly. Almond croissants were delicious along with the sourdough pizza!

Expensive cup of tea and not a lot of atmosphere

Stopped off today for a coffee and bacon roll. Both were delicious. Bacon roll was freshly cooked and lovely and hot. Friendly and helpful staff too.

Staff here are incredibly rude and will ignore you - simply put, if you want to have a pleasant time, I would avoid this establishment.

The spot had such a yummy cakes and coffee. More importantly the staff went out of their way to help their customers. They helped two women with strollers carry them.

Love this little cafe, the staff are always so nice and the food and coffee is delicious. The atmosphere is great to sit down and do a bit of work, and it’s not outrageously priced, especially if you’re able to get a student discount on the food.

Lovely team that works here. Their chai lattés are the best.

Waited 20min for a flat white, the place wasn’t even half full.

Don’t know how you can get an order so wrong. First it we were given an earl grey tea despite asking for English tea. No problem staff happy to sort, it happens. Second after a long wait (again it happens) the wrong food was given. Instead of a bacon and egg roll and a mushroom and egg roll we were given 2 mushroom and egg rolls. Again no problem it happens. Third when given the right order they put sauce in both rolls despite asking for it only in the mushroom and egg roll. On top of this it was ok at best. Highly recommend avoiding this

We were visiting Bath for the Christmas market (2 adults and 3 teens). We bought 5 drinks and snacks in Soho Coffee. When we came to leave we popped to the toilets to find them shut. When I asked at the counter if there were alternative toilets to use I was told that there were toilets in the pub across the road and the person was very unpleasant. We were paying customers of Soho Coffee not the pub across the road! My understanding is that there is a legal requirement to provide toilet/hand washing facilities where the café provides food and drink with more than 10 seats. This was not provided. Horrible experience and we won't be back!

A truly horrible experience. My mum and I came in from the Christmas Market for a drink and the servers were messing around with each other and ignored us for a few minutes. It took me asking if anyone was serving to get them to acknowledge us. They then proceeded to make like warm drinks that tasted like dishwater and didn't even fill the cups. Another unpleasant thing to top a horrific cafe experience was they shut the toilets before the cafe even closed and proceeded to tell the clientel to use another cafes toilets. NEVER AGAIN WILL I COME BACK HERE 😡😡😡

Truly awful. Your arms stick to the tables, the coffee and hot chocolate is luke warm at best and pretty tasteless, made by utterly disinterested and uncaring staff who just want to do the absolute minimum to get through their day. There were lots of young girls behind the counter who were unwelcoming on entry and you felt it was a chore to interrupt their conversations. You had one guy with a nose piercing who seemed to be in charge who barked rather unfriendly orders to customers about when the coffee shop closed and when we should leave way before the shop was due to close as though we were an inconvenience to his time. I think his attitude, lack of interest and poor customer care is reflected in the staff employed. Definitely not a place we would go back to.

Made a quick stop at Soho Coffee on the way back to the train station this weekend. Staff were very friendly, especially Will!

Only drinks very busy but had to wait 20 mins

Waited 10 minutes for a toastie, had to chase them for it as they had forgotten it was in the oven. Very dry and gave it back to them, suggested they pay attention to what they are doing rather than chatting and eat behind the counter. As I walked out of the door one of them sarcastically wishes me a Merry Christmas. My friend had a wrap that was out of date, she got a refund. Needless to say we won't be going back there.

Coffee served in paper cups despite sitting in, mince pie was dry. Main issue - refused access to toilets as we were told they had just been cleaned!!! We were told this is usual policy and other’s customers have complained but told to contact head office - not alot of use when you need to use the toilet, won’t be visiting again

We called in here yesterday. Staff were friendly, and was honestly one of the best decaf lattes I've ever had! Would return without hesitating.

Toasted teacake was absolutely delicious. Tasted like real butter. Apart from that, I'm not a fan of serving mug of camomile with the tea bag left in so after I've sat down for a minute to let it brew, I have to get up to find somewhere to put the used bag. Would be nicer to serve on a saucer. I do like table service especially when travelling with a dog or lots of shopping bags, because having to get up and down to the counter to collect your food is a real problem. So this tea shop is not for me.

Excellent food and service at the counter, with a wide range of savoury dishes and sweet cakes. It can be very busy around lunchtime and difficult to get a table. Ordered some hot food but had to go to the counter to collect it. It would be really good if they could give you a number then bring it to your table. Would definitely go again.

Here as a tourist passing by. The food is excellent. Had a Sandwich and noodle bowl. The caramel choc fudge is heavenly. There however, is a burnt musk in the restaurant. Overall I love it 😍

Award winning but you can't offer gluten free sandwiches. You could keep g/f bread in freezer and use when required.

Big Breakfast Bacon Buttie.. that's a mouthful. .. and delicious. The cappuccino was the perfect temperature and the Buttie was well priced for a meal that will get me through the day. A great variety of cooked and pre-prepared food available. The cafe was nice and cool when it was really hot outside. Staff were very friendly and a pleasure to deal with.

Called in here with my wife for a quick lunch I had chicken wrap and millionaires shortbread. My wife crisps and a raspberry Eaton mess muffin Was very nice. Store was clean and staff friendly

SOHO was our go-to breakfast place while visiting Bath. The service was great and the food and drinks were delicious.

Good for a coffee or cappuccino on the go

Whilst walking around Bath we decided it was time for coffee, we were outside SOHO Coffee in the city, so in we went. As overseas visitors we are not familiar with Coffee shop chains so do not know what to expect. The décor was fine, not exciting, the staff took a while to get our order, two soy coffees and a piece of cake to share. The coffee was OK but would have liked it hotter, a problem in most places in the UK, the coffee is not that hot! The whole experience was a bit ho hum! OK service, OK coffee.

Staff were all incredibly rude. None could bother to smile. The waiter who served me and my mother, (who had just had a major operation) were rushing us both, bear in mind the whole cafe was empty. Will not be visiting again. Disgusting customer service.

Best cappuccino and pastry in town

Great food, very kind and helpful staff. Darin greeted us, and even though we arrived before breakfast started at 8, he happily took our orders for submission once Lucy arrived. We sipped on our coffee until three excellent breakfast sandwiches arrived. We are now well fueled for our tour of the Roman baths! Would definitely recommend

Mumbai Railway Chai is amazing…

Very good indeed. Had cooked breakfast and coffee, the coffee was good, the Soho and Avocado and eggs were excellent. The manager and lads working there are brilliant, cheerful, helpful and putting in a decent shift, thank you all very much.

Beautiful Coffee shop in an amazing locatlocation. The Full Soho is one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. I had the best ever Coconut Hot Chocolate I've ever had. Great People, Great Service.

What a delightful team. I go in every morning for my skinny latte. I always get a hello. Have some fun conversations with them and alway come out with a smile 😊

They charged me more than the actual price of the item ! I bought pineapple sticks to go, and they charged me more than the listed price. Unfortunately, I didn't see before I had left because I trusted that this wouldn't happen. Keep an eye open for these things...

A small but memorable location just off the high street. The food and drink is very good and although small, it offers respite from the busy bustle of outside.

What an amazing little place! I popped in here for lunch while in Bristol for work and really wish I had one nearby. The atmosphere is really warming and welcoming and the staff honestly can't do enough, from listening to my dietary requirements to giving me restaurant recommendations for the evening with colleagues. I didn't get any photos of food but I couldn't help taking a photo of the latte art, they really take their time with each drink. There was a rather rude customer in front of me and the manager, a young redhead dealt with him brilliantly! And much more patiently than I ever would! I got a hot chocolate to take back to the office with me and it was amazing. I'll be back soon!

A very good Barista. It's OK going to Costa, Starbucks & Neros but coffee dens let Soho Coffee Co et al, are just as good. It's good to have a change now and then.

I asked whether SOHO could match Starbucks on customer experience 😂😂😂 Bad Move... I had my own 25 ounce cup and was told I "could have" a 20 Ounce Coconut Matcha Green Tea Latté (which Starbucks add an additional 4 Ounces of hot water to fill my cup to the top!). What I actually received was a warm coconut milk which wasn't even green, not only that, it was a standard paltry liquid measure of Matcha "Green" Tea Latté. So a weak, warm half measure of coconut milk is essentially what I received. You have no size variations for Matcha Latté, any additional size variations you do have are designed to maximize profit BUT massively reduce portion sizes and ingredients. If Starbucks can be flexible on order variations and requests, why can't SOHO and why are your staff misleading customers? When I was told I could have a 20 Ounce serving, just say "no it can't be done" and I would have left with nothing rather than be lied to! 😐😭 I really wanted to leave a single ⭐ star but also want to help SOHO compete with Starbucks. Edit: Why not offer a Matcha Latté option made with a rice milk (pence per litre) at variable volume size/s up to 20 Ounce? Instead of only Rude Health plant milk which retails at an eye watering £3 per litre?

Absolutely disgusting place. All tables full in rubbish from previous customers. All bins overflowing on rubbish. Definitely doesn’t deserve to be visited again.

Popped in for Breakfast whilst visiting the Market. £4.80 for a bacon roll in a bag felt like a bit of a slap in the face but the hot drinks were lovely. I would return just not for a breakfast roll!

I had the festive hot chocolate orange and was very nice. The outside door could do with fixing so it closed properly as it let a draft come in, which in winter is quite cold

This place is just awful. Rude, disinterested staff. Insipid drinks. We ordered two hot chocolates. If there was any chocolate in them, I couldn’t my taste it. It was slightly favoured water. I’m not sure it was in fact made with milk. The attitude of the staff was dreadful. The girl who served us could hardly make eye contact; the drinks were served with slops in the saucers and no attempt to clear the mess up; when my husband returned the tray our drinks were on, it was snatched out of his hand without any thanks at all; and when the manager came to find out why we were complaining, her concentration was on something else, not us. Terrible place: avoid!

Called in here for coffee during Bath's Christmas market. We all enjoyed our drinks.

I went in here for a cuppa.. I went into cafe and paid to be made a cup of tea. If I’d asked for a cappuccino I’d have got the whole drink made. I guess if you want tea you don’t go to a coffee shop… however breakfast tea was on the menu. I was served hot water with a tea bag in it. I was directed to the milk on the communal table and there was a large metal bin for me to dispose of my tea bag . So essentially I made my own tea. Not quite the experience I was after.

We absolutely enjoyed being here at this coffee shop... staff were ever so nice, kind, patient and helpful. They made lovely designs in our coffees. Everything was absolutely great and we would definitely visit again if we come to Bristol again.
