Came here on Monday around 15 and the person serving me was very nice had lots of energy and made mine and other people’s coffee fast very good vibe from him, great humor, really made my day thank you give him a raise 👏

Expensive, coffee is too beater, place is dirty, service is slow

Been back again since. Any excuse ! Caramelatte topped with cream is delicious! Plus very friendly staff means we will be going back often. Dog friendly too. 👍

"Tips" cup is not money for staff but is being taken by management

Customer Service was non existent, no friendly chat or smiles, coffee was bitter, i binned coffee and went next door, coffee was lush staff were really friendly (sorry Nero) i wont be back

Just to echo previous sentiments - The 2 guys running the shift on Friday towards the end of the day looked shattered… ‘12 hrs with no breaks’ was muttered as they ran about, clearly not happy. Pretty sure this is illegal? Surprised the coffee was as good as it was tbf… all things considered Come on Cafe Nero, support your staff

Every time my mum and I visited here we notice that there aren't enough staff. The poor guy who was on his own serving queue after queue of people said he'd been there alone since 7am. It looked like it too because not only did he look really tired and stressed but few tables had been cleared either. The toilets were out of order too when was inconvenient but they are often really revolting in their anyway. I think in future we will visit the Old Bond Street branch which seems to be better managed and cleaner.

This Caffè Nero is conveniently near the train station. It looks small from the outside, but there is plenty of seating inside with some quiet areas. Otherwise, there is everything you would expect from a Caffè Nero coffee shop.

Place desperately needs cleaning and staff attitudes are not what you would expect.

Terrible, the coloured guy was so loud when talking to other staff and could still be heard over the other side of the place. One of the staffs kids was in there throwing things at the coloured guy then ran in to the office to hide. There’s never any cream for speciality drinks. Just terrible !!

Normally Caffè Nero staff are very pleasant. First time at this cafe and staff were very dismissive of our app order. If you can’t take app orders, don’t have the cafe active for it. Terrible service.

Very expensive, grubby place, staff are very nice and helpful but they simply don’t have time, and there are not enough of them, to tidy up. Seats are disgustingly dirty, toilets broken. Not ok for nearly £4 for a coffee, £3.50 for a cake. This is a cash cow for cafe Nero but if you stop looking after your customers - they will start to look elsewhere.

Love Cafe Nero coffee but when I was in a queue of about 5 people, a member of staff had his back to the counter and was chatting to colleagues in the KP area. He didn't even acknowledge the queue of people waiting, just carried on chatting about his weekend. 2 people left as they had had enough of waiting. After about 10 mins a member of staff who was busy washing up clocked us at the counter and rushed to finish and come out to serve us. He might have been new as he didn't say anything to the guys who were chatting or delegate them to serve. When the chatty guy turned around he didn't even look bothered at the queue of people he had left waiting. I just felt bad for the guy who was washing up as he seemed to be the only one working and earning his wage that day.

The main pull for locals is the fact it's open later than most coffee shops in the centre of Bath. At time of last update (15 Oct 2023), it closes at 7.00pm most days (7.30pm on weekends) while other coffee shops close at 5 or 6pm, but usually 5pm. That makes it ideal as a meeting point or a place to do evening work or gain quick phone access. It's also conveniently positioned opposite the bus station and close to the train station. There's plenty of worn-out seating (mostly tables but a couple of sofas) and customer toilets (with keypads to stop them being used for drugs) the whole place has a very transient feel to it as it's geared towards high footfall, but it has pleasant baristas serving most days. But then it's a chain coffee shop. Why would you go here than to the many, many independent coffee houses in Bath? I'm not sure really, unless you liked the chain and it's particular brand of coffee. Of course, the answer may just be you want somewhere with reasonable WiFi to study or work and grab a coffee and a slice of something. In that case, it's a good option.

The location is very convenient, in front of the Bath bus station, and the opening hours are long. The staffs are very friendly, but there are not many seats with plug in, if you want to use a laptop. The only drawback is that the Wi-Fi is very unstable and the environment smells heavy of smoke.

Staff told me no body else complained so why did I. I asked to see the manager but after 20mins waiting no manager. I will never be going to Neros again.

Little engagement with me when ordering. Order rushed so had to ask for more amaretto as it had not added. Staff were a bit off when I asked for the syrup. But it was a hot day and they were flustered

Barista was pretty passive aggressive. Started slamming the filter holder against the trash and was being short with the customers. Sit down area is pretty messy which is not a deal breaker but a symptom of a messed up work place.

Came to Nero to have a coffee and sat inside. The store is clean and has WiFi and power sockets. The barista who had curly hair and glasses made my drink quickly and was friendly, definitely gave me excellent customer service.

I went in yesterday to grab a drink and use the toilet, I went to use the toilet first as was rather desperate, before I even got there a member of staff said you can't use the toilet unless you purchase something (not in a polite way either) I replied that I was buying something, he then watched me queue to make sure, now I have a small problem with my bladder, not that he would of known that, but I also don't want to be discussing it with a complete stranger, maybe the staff could be a bit more aware of people with disabilities that are not seen, when I eventually got to the toilet it was filthy, so it's a definite no return from me

Ok for cafe and a cake gets crowded

Four of us popped in here yesterday for coffee. We got there about 12.30. There were two trainee baristas and one other guy. I felt really sorry for the two trainees, they were basically being left to it at the busiest time of day. There was a long queue and they seemed out of their depth and the other guy didn’t seem to be helping them very much. Surely training them on a Saturday when it is so busy is not a brilliant idea. I waited 25 minutes in the queue and another 10 minutes once I was served. It doesn’t seem fair to the poor trainees or the patient people waiting in the queue.

Most obstructive male staff member today. Genuinely found him to be awkward. Wouldn't process a coconut iced latte as 'there wasn't a button on the till for this'. I'm not a barista, but I equally don't believe it takes a genius to work out that you may process this as an iced latte, and charge me extra for the coconut milk. Nope....he didn't 'have the button'. I went around the corner to Pret A Manger (nearest alternative coffee shop) and they happily obliged. I'm not one for leaving bad reviews, but I think this particular member of staff needs a little more training on use of initiative.

Called in for a coffee,which was Luke warm. The lady behind the counter was very pleasant. The cafe itself was not very clean, ( Rather Mucky actually) and there were plenty of dirty cups etc on the tables, and food on the floor,!! Don't think I'll be visiting this very tired looking outlet in the future.👎

The cafe was fine but we were asked to leave at 7:30 pm and told that the cafe has been closed even though the website and the cafe advertises the closing time to be 8pm. We had already ordered and were sitting and working so I do not understand why put up a time that’s not accurate.

Nice coffee Shop bigger inside than it looks, so quite spacious. Young guy serving was on his own, so was a short wait. However, he remained cheerful and did his best 👌 Great Flat white

Avoid, zero customer service, rude assistant manager who refused to honour our meerkats discount as their WiFi was playing up yet again. Held the que up feeling awkward looking at a blank face. Very very poor.

Opening hours are not accurate. Overpriced coffee.

Don’t trust their opening times, especially if you’re like me and are wanting a coffee before your early morning shift. Says it opens at 6am but it doesn’t :( Plus on the door there is a list of opening times, which are also wrong. Either the times haven’t been corrected or staff are always late opening

We visited this café as it is near Bath Spa station, which is where we were headed at the time. The drinks we had were OK but the whole place had a rather tired 'end-of-day' look about it, despite it being only around 4pm. The bins in the toilet were full and overflowing, making the room most un-appealing and adding to the run-down appearance of the place.

Jusr popped in for a hot chocolate and coffee both perfectly satisfactory.

Coffee orders took a long time and were not too the standard expected as well as being in takeaway cups as it was ‘an order from head office’ yet other people had previously been served in china cups. Tables and chairs were dirty and used cups not cleared. No music and cold. In the bathroom there was no toilet seat or toilet paper and no hot water.

Disgusting. No hand wash in the toilet (not ran our, just none even in the broken dispenser), no hot water, no hand dryer and no tissue to replace it so had to use toilet roll to dry my hands after the staff went to get some hand wash. They didn't know where the key was for the disabled toilet so no idea the state of that or what a disabled customer would do if they needed the loo. Came out to my partner having cancelled our hot chocolate orders because they had run out of cream for them, and apparently when she said she wouldn't want them when told this (after the chap had made them without telling her) the staff member rolled his eyes at her. Disgusting premises and staff attitude. Go to Pret down the road!

Clearly short staffed. With only one person serving people left the que and went elsware. However I held fast and eventually got a drink. Paper cups and paper box for vale with wooden spoon also detracted from making it a nice experience when dining in.

Great place, they have a really funny barista in there that sadly left yesterday, he was great at making coffees too, such a shame to see such a young bright spark stuck in a small town like this, I tell you that kid is going places.

I think coffee Nero has the best coffee!! I use Clarks village, and Sherborne stores Regularly. But, today I really have to say something about the Bath branch. The toilet is disgusting. Not by the usual customers (surprisingly) It needs a deep clean. Get the toothbrush out!! I will quiet happily give free lessons on how to clean a bathroom!! I had your Millionaires shortbread tonight, and a cup of tea. My friend had tea and chocolate cake. Really great 👍

Really huge but cost feeling Caffe Nero. The opening hours are fantastic and the decor is welcoming. Lovely kind staff, really amazing soya hot chocolate and ok vegan Christmas panini. Definitely recommend going to this Caffe Nero. Right next Bath spa and the bus station.

I found this visit not a great one firstly the staff acted unprofessional the coffee machine was dirty looked like it hadn’t been cleaned I also overheard a comment regarding my drink of choice stating just make as good as you can when food was done it was brought out and firstly staff member just passed the first plate to me even tho I was still waiting for coffee order so this plate of food was getting cold when presented with coffee with we decided to upgrade to a luxury drink it was messy and unloved I used to love coming to this venue but today experience has made me think otherwise as overall experience the staff were very unprofessional not one member of staff looked happy to be here

Popped in with my Mum as she had a long wait for a bus. Staff member was clearing up and kept saying ‘with you in a minute’. After 5 minutes it became apparent she had no intention of serving us and seemed to want to us to give up a leave which we did. It was the end of the day and maybe she’d had enough .

Went for coffee today with a friend. Her latte was barely warm. My americano was not much better. We accepted another but won't be returning.

The coffee was okay but the toilets were disgusting. I told the manager but he didn't seem too worried about it. The soap dispenser was broken, hot water tap running. The toilet including the walls and floor were filthy and I was there at 07.30 in the morning. I won't be going there again.

Coffee’s OK, but dirty, tables need clearing, storage area open to view. Breakfast rolls limited to vegetarian, others sold out I guess. Just not that impressive. Staff On mobiles between serving, not a good look!

There was a feather inside my chicken pesto pastry yesterday. I bit into something stringy and looked to see what it could be, and there was a feather baked into it. How did a feather even get in there? That question ruined my appetite for the rest of the day. I didn’t even order the chicken pastry. I ordered a different one and was given it by mistake.

Ordered an iced caramel latte, fruit salad and 2 pastry’s to take away, asked if I wanted food warmed I said no as was taking away, staff proceeded to warm up food and serve to me on a plate as if I was sitting in, which I then had to wrap myself to take away, service was really slow as well

Pros - Staff Friendly. Fridge well stocked Plenty of food options. Cons - Only after ordering we realised this location is very dirty. The tables are all dirty. Seating is just the same with a suspicious brown stain on one. Toilets are dirty and disgusting. First time at a Cafe Nero and now the last.

Had a lovely day with friends in Bath recently, and Caffe Nero was the hub of it all. The branch right opposite the bus/ train station has a very civilised vibe. Good food, good coffee, friendly service.

Didn't eat so can't comment on that but the coffee was good and quick service. The whole place looked like it needed updating and the toilets were unfortunately very grotty.

Nice "characterful" cafe. We ordered a decaf mocha and a cortado, along with a banana nut bread (labeled as raspberry almond crumble though). All very tasty.

I love Nero's flat white which ever branch I go to and in any country I'm in, its always good, but this particular branch is always so dirty, makes me want to avoid getting coffee here. Tables are full of the previous customers rubbish and twice now ive asked staff to clean the tables, and they seem to not like being asked. Should customers clean it themselves?

Coffee tastes of nothing and the place was dirty, especially the toilets..There are better options just around the corner and elsewhere nearby with much better coffee and service.

I got take out on this one but look forward to sitting in here soon, its a really chilled atmosphere with helpful and friendly baristas. Side note, apparently Caffè Nero baristas can never remember if you wanted cream on top or not. Hot chocolate as always from here and was as good as ever, shame I can’t quite work out the app and paying yet 😅

Cold wet day when we dropped in, only one person serving, but really quick with well made coffee. Plenty of clean seating and tables, even though they were moderately busy. Right across from the Bus and Train stations.

Enjoyed a nice cup of tea in a coffee shop warm and dry cos it was pxxxxxg down outside🙂

Although I didn't have anything food or drink I visited with others but I can't comment on their food or drink but I can comment on the rest. I was expecting more from this place it looks like it would have been nice when originally opened but from then looks to have had no maintenance done the roof is starting to show sighns of damage one area looking like there was a leak the doors look like they never been painted since and a bit of the railing near roof is coming off wich is a shame to see as with a repaint and bit of repair this place could look great again.

Coffee is ok but sitting in is not pleasant, paint peeling off the walls, tired decor and looks and feels generally messy. If you want a chain for coffee go to Costa in the high street it’s much nicer to sit in. Or if you want something better Cafe Au Lait opposite the station is superb great food and lovely coffee

Awful service. Went in a few days ago and a large woman with short hair leaning on the desk complaining as I asked her if she would be able to clear the table.

We've used this branch often as it is so convenient coming off the train but it is looking very tired and the whole place needs a refurb. The coffee is good, though!!

On first look, this is probably the best Cafe Nero Bath has to offer, the other three are woeful. The service was quick, efficient and had my Mocha out quickly. There was a large selection of food & cakes still available at 3pm too. The mocha was served in a clean mug and tasted really good, nothing special but did the trick. The interior is disabled friendly, but weirdly the service desks aren’t as they’re not wheelchair friendly at all and would feel really demeaning to a wheelchair user. There is a selection of seating to choose from, most with high backs for those with a weak core. Disabled toilet requires a key too. Covid wise, tables all distanced and floor markings available. The staff , as within their right; don’t wear a mask. The whole restaurant could do with a huge upgrade, as could most Cafe Nero’s! Damp ceiling right next to the speakers, scratched doors and tables, paintwork needed- just gives you a run down feeling which is a shame for a restaurant with such a large floor space. Would make a lovely Waylands Yard. Toilet was clean.

Very busy with it seemed two trainees. Coffee was good but it took a long time to get tables cleared. Then having to ask them to wipe them clean.

Great coffee, fast service, right near the train station.

The tables that we sat at was filthy which during this time, I think is disgusting. The floor was also dirty which is concerning when cleaning should be increased during this pandemic. They also would not accept our cash, which is legal currency,and we only just had enough on our card. I understand its not the workers fault, but the companies. If they are worried about germs and virus then they should supply their workers with sanitizers, which loads of other shops do
