Visited this cafe as I was given a Groupon voucher for my birthday. On arrival the whole place looked dirty. I was sceptical about eating here but thought we’d give it a go. The food in the fridge looked like it had been there for forever and the bowls the food were in had had dried edges to them. The sink was full of dirty dishes and the lady in front of us in the queue needed a spoon, so the man took the spoon from the sink and just rubbed it between his thumbs to clean it. We had to wait ages for the cream tea to arrive. Once the Scones arrived I started to add the cream and jam and the cream had clearly gone off. It tasted horrendous. We briskly walked out and went to the nearest Costa. A waste of a voucher but didn’t want to stay a minute longer.

my mum treated me and my partner to an all you can eat vegetarian meal at this restaurant on groupon. when we arrived we sat down and immediately the lovely staff member began preparing our falafel and pittas for us which were beautiful and made our hot drinks. we were then offered more of our main when we finished but we’re stuffed! then we had our middle eastern sweet which was lovely too can’t recommend enough

I've been to the old station café for several times and I have to say that it is one of the best family led shops around here.The coffee is delicious and the service is always accompanied with smiles. So I definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to pop by. 😊 😊

In my opinion this restaurant is wonderful, the food is really tasty,the owner is very friendly and I recommend everyone to come here for good lunch or evening coffee/tea 🤗😍

Lovely small cafe in the centre of Bath. Nice sandwiches. They also have a big variety in the menu, cakes and hot food.

Worst afternoon tea ever!! Went with a groupon voucher. So disappointing. Waste of money...no plates, lots of mayo, poor poor service, really unfriendly and treated like an inconvenience. Coffee spilt and not well made. Don’t bother even trying it.

Groupon deal with friends, you are better off dipping the voucher in jam and eating that. Disgraceful, we had to ask for plates(4) 1 was clean,table was sticky, sandwiches tasted of nothing but mayonnaise, very cheep plain scones, never again, no not bother, very disappointing.

What can I say, disappointment is an understatement. Bought a Groupon voucher for afternoon tea, to have with friends, but what was delivered leaves little to the imagination! A selection of thrown together sandwiches were offered, most of which were chicken, mayonnaise and sweetcorn or tuna, mayonnaise and sweetcorn. If you love a generous helping of mayo, this is right up your street! There was only half a cheese sandwich (one triangle) for four of us to share....not sure what happened to the others, or if one was deemed adequate?? After asking for plates, we discovered they weren’t exactly clean and even had to use the napkins provided to wipe the cutlery. We were given cream and jam at the beginning of our visit, and had to ask if scones were available. The scones were from a packet and briefly warmed in a microwave before being served. On the plus side, the cup of tea was nice and our sense of humour kept us entertained!

Well what a waste of money. Shop brought scones from lidi Tea was the best thing on it,not friendly or helpful,took ages for them to sort out voucher as neither of them spoke much english,their families took up most of the tables which where cold and inviting,save your money and go somewhere else!!

We had a groupon voucher for an all you can eat vegetarian lunch. The food was very tasty and the lady who was serving the food, making the coffee - basically running the cafe - was really lovely and very friendly. It’s a small cafe on a busy corner - so it’s a good place to people watch. If you like falafel, babaganoush and hummus give it a go.

We visited today to use a Groupon Festive afternoon tea voucher.We were given no choice and had cheese and tuna sandwiches on white bread.The scones were shop bought and very small.The mugs of tea where possibly the best items.The owner handled all the food and drinks without washing his hands.There is a picture in the window of a afternoon tea,beware what you get is nothing like it.We were very surprised when the owner thought everything was good.POOR VALUE.POOR HYGIENE

Visité con un amigo que tenía un grupo en el cupón. Delicioso café (probablemente el mejor que he probado en Bath: cremoso pero fuerte y suave). Los pasteles son insuperables y caseros hechos por la esposa del propietario. El propietario es muy amable y servicial. Ambiente agradable y limpio y un gran lugar para observar a la gente en la ventana. Los almuerzos se ven fabulosos y definitivamente regresaré para probarlos. Buenas opciones vegetarianas. Hacen almacenamiento de equipaje también que es útil saber. Mucho mejor que los cafés 'hipster' de Bath! !

You absolutely MUST stop her for a bite to eat! Every time I am in Bath I stop here at least twice! Sometimes for breakfast and lunch! The gentleman who owns The Old Station is simply MARVELOUS!!!! Oh, and the food is very good!

Lo siento, pero si no puedes hacer un frappe correctamente, no lo pongas en tu menú. Estoy tan harto de que los ingleses no sepan la diferencia entre las bebidas. Pregunta por 2 frappes. Tengo 2 cafés helados. No tenía idea de lo que estaba hablando. Pagamos 3 libras por cada café débil lechoso. No es culpa del personal, así que no tiene sentido ir a ellos.

Visitamos aquí para el desayuno mientras estábamos en el baño por unos días. Fuimos ayer con mi esposa y mi hija, principalmente para probar una oferta independiente. Precioso batido de bayas rojas y una rodaja de esponja Victoria. Mi esposa y yo disfrutamos del café con leche, y mi hija vegana disfrutó de un chocolate caliente hecho con leche no láctea, un poco espesa, dijo, pero sabrosa.

The place is cosy and the food is to die for! Amazing hospitality, family run restaurant. On thursday they do a £6.99 all you can eat evening which is just perfet. I highly recommend the starter,its amazing!5 stars.

I've been to The Old Station a few times with some friends for the All You Can Eat dinner on Thursday. I highly recommend to get there even in other circumstances, as the staff is very kind and helpful and the food is amazing! The owner is very chatty and friendly and gave us some free dessert after dinner; they also take pictures of you to post on their Instagram/ Facebook page. The only negative thing, if we want to find one, is that the space is a bit narrow and there are not many seats, so if you get there late it's likely that you won't find one. But the owner and waitress always try to find some space for you.

Great fresh food and you definitely won’t go hungry. Nothing flashy just lots of nice homemade food and friendly staff.

We ran in for a sandwich before the bus tour. Food was cheap and worth what we paid. We grabbed a bite and caught our bus.

Visited on a Thursday for all you can eat falafel etc. Food was excellent, starting with pitta and dips, then onto falafels and others. The service was exceptional, there was always food on our table and we left not being able to eat any more after a very good baclava. Highly recommended.

I had the soup of the day, expected it to be home-made but it was out of a can. It was served with two slices of bread and butter, £4.50. Very disappointing.

Unser Essen war lecker und reichlich in diesem gemütlichen kleinen Café. Die Auswahl ist recht groß und die Besitzer waren sehr freundlich. Der Besitzer hatte eine Zeit lang in Deutschland gelebt und sich, als wir ins Gespräch kamen, gefreut Deutsch mit uns reden zu können. Zusätzlich zu dem Café gibt es dort die Möglichkeit sein Gepäck gegen ein kleines Entgelt den Tag über zu lagern, wenn man auf der Durchreise ist.

Der Besitzer und seine Frau sind liebenswürdig und sehr freundlich. Wir haben uns lange unterhalten. Er spricht auch deutsch. Die Speisen wurden frisch zubereitet und waren wirklich lecker. Auch der Kaffee war toll. Wir kamen gerade erst in Bath an und haben direkt gute Empfehlungen bekommen für unseren Ausflug. Die Einrichtung gefiel uns. Wenn wir mal wieder in der Nähe sind müssen wir unbedingt wiederkommen.

Tis is a nice little cafe. A bit on the small side, but cosy. The coffee was better than a Costa, and baguette had nice filling. Staff were friendly enough. Busy little place and gandy fir both bus and train station before long journey.

I will be back , I had a very nice tasty falafel and it taste home made and the staff was very friendly and they gave us a warm welcome.They store our luggage for the whole day and they gave us a 20%Off their food and drinks menu.Their location is brilliant it just opposite the train station.I really recommended to every visitor to Bath.

We were very delighted to find some Egyptian food here in Bath, as we were having a little homesick. However the food was awful! The falafel was not fresh at all! And the so called homemade babaganouj was already sour. It was very cold, but the shop owner persisted to keep his door open!! Unbelievable! We were so disappointed and very sorry that people will know our Egyptian delight from this cafe...

Found myself at The Old Station on Friday afternoon during my trip. As much I feel tired I quickly recovered and smiled after delicious homemade Falafel with Pita Bread and salad accompanied by Jasmine tea. I felt great within minutes. Thank you so much. I walked past the place in the morning, it looked great from the outside so I planned to return for lunch. The sign on the window stated home made falafel & home baked pitta- great! It was almost empty when I arrived & asked the waiter if the falafel pitta was vegan & he said it was, I then asked what was in the pitta (meaning salad, hummus etc), he must have misunderstood me & pulled out from under the counter a pack of pitta bread to check the ingredient list. DEFINITELY NOT HOME BAKED! I ordered anyway, along with a soya latte & took a seat. The place is pretty small, in a lovely way! But was surprised that the waiter called out for me to come & collect my coffee, & then did the same a few moments later with my food. The coffee tasted burnt, I drank less than half of it. The whole meal was a complete disappointment! The pitta was crispy where it was cut so thin & then put in a toaster, the salad resembled the nasty ready cut salad found in kebab shops- didn't taste fresh at all & the falafel was really dry & only half heated up. From the outside, the place looks SO lovely, & I really looked forward to having a quiet lunch there, but it is a complete rip off, not worth the money, AT ALL. Just before leaving I went downstairs to use the toilet, all the lights were turnt off & I had to use my phone torch to find my way. This place is cheap & completely misleading.

We had great falafel sandwich here last week, along with a side of babaganouj and some home made pickles. Everything was absolutely authentic and home made, even down to the very tasty chilly sauce. All sorts of more English food available too, which we didn't try, but the Falafel was fantastic!!

I "don't know" why there are so many good reviews (REALLY?) COLD FOOD: The price is ok, BUT the food is awful, half cooked and cold. POOR HYGIENE: As mentioned in another post, the hygiene is way under standard.... NO wash hands when fetching my cake after taking the money. My wife's soup was even worse, a hair floating on top.... MESSY ENVIRONMENT: the surrounding is full of left luggage. NOISE: IF you want to have some quiet time, avoid this place. When we were having lunch, a man came in, and started arguing with the woman at the counter, I assume they are husband and wife because their kids were running around the shop before they were taken away by the man... And then the man sat outside shouting at the people with bags on the street trying to get customers from next door.... When we were about to finish the disastrous lunch, some customer came in and complaint something missing in their luggage... another fight..... All in all, AVOID!

I visited this coffee shop two weeks ago before catching the train. Good location, very close to the train station. I had a very tasty cup of latte and with homemade carrot cake! I recommend it to everybody to pay a visit to this lovely coffee shop!

Came here before a train journey out of Bath. The service was terrible as the servers did not crack a smile. I ordered the scones with tea. Scones were okay but the cream and jam was from the supermarket. I watched them make sandwiches for other customers and the hand hygiene was not very good either. Go around the corner to Cafe Au Lait.

It's looks like a nice private owned place which is a relieve compared to all these chains like costas. Unfortunately at costas they serve better food. We had 2 sandwiches that were only half baked.

Found it on Trip Advisor whilst journeying to Bath. It is very small & crammed with left luggage but it seemed popular so decided to stay, we'd had a long journey. Ordered hot drinks & light lunch. Just one woman serving so I expected slow service. My tea arrived long before my partners coffee and I'd almost finished my lunch when his turned up! The lady serving really needed some help! My real misgivings were about hygiene. The lady at the counter was wearing her coat - no apron, handbag on service counter, the tiny kitchen at the back seemed cluttered & not the cleanest, downstairs the single toilet had watered down soap & no towels. Yes the food was OK but not worth the excellent reviews.

I stopped here for an early dinner before my train journey, and had an amazing jacket potato (baked potato) with ham and cheese, as well as a cup of tea and some scones (on their menu as cream tea). Delicious food and excellent service. Just a few yards from the Bath Spa train station, which made it very convenient. They also stow luggage for those like me just stopping in Bath for a few hours (though I had already left my luggage at the internet cafe next door). Definitely plan to eat here or get takeaway the next time I'm in Bath!

Right outside of the train station in Bath, when you're starving, this is the practically first place you see, so you go in. We are so glad we did! A cozy little place that is able to serve vegetarian and vegan food and a delightful owner to boot. This was the first time I'd seen a baked potato in England! This is a staple for me back home, and I was shocked to find one here, it seemed like no one had a whole baked potato on their menu. But there it was in the glass case, I asked if that really was what I thought it was and the owner said yes, and that I could have any toppings I wanted on it! YES! Tomatoes and broiled mushrooms, please! What a treat! It was delicious, filling, and I was set to go roam around Bath for hours after that. My boyfriend ordered some kind of cooked eggs in a bun of some kind, I don't remember what it was called, and perhaps the owner made it up on the spot, he was super accommodating. As we sat and ate, we noticed a small set of shelves with all kinds of imported Mediterranean groceries on it. I wish I could have bought some and taken them home with me! Wonderful coffee and tea, nice owner to talk to, interesting locals stop by - all in all, a Winner!

Had a chilly tour of Bath on an open top bus and was glad this place was nearby when we got off the bus. Nice place good location and pleasant staff. Made us welcome.

Popped in here for the first time this week, fab service - very friendly. Had a falafel pitta, was lovely - and homemade too.Excellent position given its opposite the station.

I come here most days on my lunch break and every time there's nothing to fault! A great atmosphere and always a good quality of food! Can't fault the place, the owner is fantastic! I would recommend to everyone

This place was a great find. Situated right in the centre opposite the train station. A really modern and swanky feel inside and the service was amazing - quick and fresh! The coffe was really great and si was the food. The only negative was that I had to eventually leave!!! Definitely coming back here asap

Discovered the best falafel pitta i can remember in this welcoming cafe just opposite the train station. Smoothies were great too, all served with a smile.

Nice little coffee shop by the station. The coffee was pretty good, as was the home baked millionaire shortbread. A great alternative to the high street chains, and in a good location if you find yourself getting on or off a train in Bath.

We found this great place opposite the station for breakfast before a long journey home! We found it very welcoming and the breakfast was great for the cost!! Not fatty!! Will return!!!!
