Great selection of beer, food was great, staff were very pleasant. Inside seating seemed nice but we sat in the garden had fresh air for the first half of our visit and then closed the roof when it started to rain. Would recommend if you're a beer lover. 10 to 20 pounds for food and a beer or flat.

The garden is just delightful. I love that it’s smoke-free (although vaping is allowed). The ales are tasty. If I lived in Bath I would be a regular. My son got the largest fried fish I’ve ever seen and I helped my husband eat half a roast chicken. Both delicious.

Lovely selection of ales and lager, nice outside space especially as it was hot. Downside my cheese and pickle sandwich was not as described on the menu - came toasted and very processed cheese (at a guess I would say not Barbers) which made it very greasy and pickle tasted acidic like a Branson Aldi version.

It's very average. It's not super clean, the interior courtyard needs a good cleaning, and even inside the tables are almost all sticky (just like those outside) as well as the counter where you go to order . The food is just okay, nothing to write home about as they say, the fish & chips are nothing exceptional and the hamburgers are ok but nothing to wow. I won't go back, better value for money elsewhere.

We stopped by here for the quiz on Monday as part of our trip to Bath and what a treat of a pub it is! The pub is in a nice building with plenty of seating. They really take the quiz seriously with a dedicated quizzing area with space for easily 15+ teams. The drinks were affordable and the quiz itself was fun and delivered at a quick pace with generous prizes. My only petty comment is the pub boasts the best pub garden in Bath which is a "sun trap". It looked like it was entirely undercover from what I saw, but I didn't go fully outside haha.

We dropped in during our short stay in Bath. We enjoy craft beers and always prefer to find a tap house rather than a pub. The staff member who served us was friendly and chatty. The boys in our group enjoyed the beers! It was lunchtime so we ordered food. It is a short menu but better for that - at least you know that it will be fresh! The large nachos was huge! We had it with the pulled pork which was pronounced delicious. A portion of wings and chicken tenders were of sufficient size for lunch and very tasty. A great find!

That was a jolly good Christmas lunch from The Brewhouse! Well cooked dishes, well presented, decent size, all on time and kind, friendly staff. Right down to the Christmas decoration and crackers our party of 20 had a really enjoyable time. I also liked the Deus stout, one of the many types of own-brewed beers. It had a slightly sweeter, dandelion & burdock flavour than most stouts. Very good accompaniment to a winter meal.

Came for a Christmas do. First time I've been here. Having been to many of these, over the years, you kind of know what you're going to get. Limp lettuce, luke warm food and staff who've had enough. I can honestly say that The Brew House was nothing like that! The table was set up in the corner for us, crackers and decorations - not over the top, but enough to help with the mood. About 15 of us at various points and we all fit quite well with space to eat. After chatting for a bit the starters were brought out. I'd opted for the celeriac soup. It was delicious. Seasoned well, no need to reach for the condiments, and was warm and rich. Really great soup. I sound surprised, but soup is usually hit or miss... This was a hit. From the table I could only hear good things about the other starters, which I've forgotten what they were - old age. Because I'm awkward, my main was off the normal menu - which they don't normally do this time of year and was a special request as I couldn't eat anything else... food allergies and the like. I have to say the mushroom burger was a delight. From the top down you had three pieces of gloriously squeaky halloumi, a large mushroom stuffed with breadcrumbs and garlic and probably lots of butter, rounded off by a huge slice of tomato, lettuce and - I think - pesto. It was delicious - and if you see this on the menu in the new year please try it. It came with fries that were golden and crispy. A really nice course all round. Others had the turkey, beef or fish and again I heard no complaints. Pudding was a simple affair of a lemon cheesecake but, again, it was really superb. The other choices were Christmas pudding and something I've forgotten!! Staff were really friendly and helpful - bonus points for having an accessible toilet on the ground floor. As we left an interesting party arrived at the bar... I would assume this is a very popular venue with students - given its close proximity to the college and the university. Lovely meal, great atmosphere, I would most definitely come here again!

They don't take cash. Isn't it great having a local small business enable a two tier society. As policy they decided to penalise people who don't want to have corporations or the govt control and manage their money. Typically the less able or well off. Can't wait until society is totally cashless. And the merchant services companies have a monopoly and decide to up thier transaction fees and squeeze every drop of revenue from you👍 Low resolution short term thinking... Priceless

Came here with a group of friends for my partner's 40th. The venue is a nice size and it wasn't busy for a Saturday afternoon/evening. It gives the appearance of being a nice place to hang out, and they have a good selection of beers, but wouldn't recommend if you are planning to eat. The service and food availability was poor. You can't order food on the app despite advertised, and ordering anything from the bar is inefficient and frustrating. Almost all of the plant-based options were unavailable. No explanation or apology - rather I felt like I was an inconvenience for asking. I had the hummus dish (the hummus tasted great, the rest of the dish not so much) and chips (standard fare, not particularly tasty). Asked for vinegar and was brought an empty bottle, then the server said they ran out of vinegar.

Worst bar in Bath by a longshot. I paid £10 (no student discount allowed, doesn't say this anywhere) to spin their wheel and won a £30 bar tab. Great. Go back to my friends to liaise about what round to buy. Decide on a bottle of wine and 6 shots. It's £21 for the wine, 3 for £10 on the shots. I might be wrong, but 21+10+10= 41, no? Well, in brewhouse, they use a special branch of mathematics where this equals £43. Not only that, but I was told I can't use my student discount on the £43 either because it's "too complicated", with the reaction of those around me showing this happens regularly. My friend, thankfully, challenged this as I felt a bit nervous due to pressure put on by the bartender's to "just pay the £13 it's easier". We said we wouldn't pay £2 extra for no reason, so she walked off mid conversation to get the manager. Then, the manager arrived and the real comedy began. He said we had to pay the 13, even after acknowledging that the server had calculate the bill wrong and overcharged us. He tried to embarrass me by saying not to make it complicated and just pay it. I pointed out that even if it's complicated, the 10% student discount (which they said wasn't available on the shots and only the bottle) would've saved £2.10 and the mistake would've saved £2, which is a whole drinks worth, so I just said can you not pour me a free shot or something? He looked me dead in the eyes like I'd just betrayed a lifelong friendship and said "I'm not doing that" and walked off. All joking aside, this is actually insane that they give this level of service. They clearly are way too cocky due to how much business they get but honestly spoons is half the price with way better service and more variety. It's better in every way, and I hope I won't make this mistake ever again...

The food was expensive and a little limited. There was no kids menu but they offered a childs burger or Childs fish fingers. I was very happy with this and accepted the burger with all toppings on the side. When it arrived it was just a burger in a bun but I was happy with this, my son was less happy when he moved the bun and found it was covered in gravy. They replaced the meal with fish fingers at no cost stating that this was how they do burgers and couldn't be changed. They did their absolute to help - but why add gravy to a plain kids burger and not write it on the menu? Desert was 7.25 each and was a 45mm square if chocolate cake and a solid small ball of ice cream - ok but not really the apitonomy of "honest pub grub". Overall pricey and very average.

I'd give it 0 stars if I could, blasting music stupidly loud, with no consideration or respect for the residents that live directly opposite, disgusting behaviour, even with all the windows closed and TV's turned up, it's still all you can hear, vile business

We came here on Mother's Day, we had booked a table for seven however the place still had room. This place is big with lots of space outside too. The staff were polite and friendly. We had a couple of turns on the roulette wheel behind the bar, which was fun unless you win a packet of crisps. 🤣 All our meals were great, my roast chicken was delicious. Child and dog friendly pub, would recommend. Ask for Ewan his smile is enough to make your day.

We ventured to The Bath Brew House, yesterday, for Sunday lunch. We picked a table and things looked promising from the plates of the diners around us. Grabbing some menu’s from the bar there were three options, all served with the same delicious sounding sides. I placed my order for pork and chicken and a nice bottle of Sauvignon, with the barmaid, who I did not realise at the time was the best thing about the whole experience. Our food was delivered to the table and looked fine – that’s where the bubble was burst and I have to say we had the worst roast dinner we have ever had. To break it down, both the pork and chicken were dry and overcooked and the majority left. The garlic and rosemary roast potatoes were soft, no crunch and had definitely been reheated. Likewise, the parsnips were pale and hard. The Yorkshire pudding was soft and I assume had been stored in a Tupperware? There was no texture at all to them. The celeriac puree – well it wasn’t so much a puree but overcooked celeriac dumped on the plate, it obviously had not been prepared with any butter/milk or love. The kale/cabbage – hubby liked but, again he said these were bland. The gravy was fine and I’d probably give it a 3/10 but at least it was edible. The stuffing was a little salty but was ok. The carrots were the best thing on the plate and I’d rate them a 5/10. I even made the comment while we were eating that if this was the first time I’d ever had a roast dinner I would not have one again! We left most of the meal and ended up eating leftovers at home an hour late. You might think, that the pub might have been busy, it wasn’t. We also dined at approx. 1pm so in the middle of service where the food should have been good. During no point were we approached to ask how our food was, I would definitely have fed back all my above comments. The manager on duty (I am assuming), was more interested in sitting at a table with his laptop with one of the waitresses than actually put into practise any hospitality training that he had undertaken. That was after he grunted at my husband that the menu’s were on the bar. To the lovely barmaid with the corkscrew curls who said goodbye, thank you. As I said to you, you are the best thing about the Bath Brew House. May you continue to shine young lady!

Large pub with a wide ranging choice of ales. Beer was in excellent condition and whilst we only had some sandwiches along with added chips the food was nice and reasonably priced. Would certainly recommend if you're in Bath

This place does a seriously decent Sunday roast – hot, generous portions, rare beef and plump chicken. Much better than average standards in London pubs, even the good ones. A very welcoming space, too, and great selection of unusual craft beers. Loved it.

Very disappointing experience, chicken burger was tasteless and portion small, fish was not fresh, my first pint was flat and uninteresting, saved by the replacement, which was good but at over 6% stronger than I wanted and my wife's Gin and Tonic came in a plastic glass! Not the standard I was expecting and an experience we will not repeat, as this will be our last visit to the Bath Brewhouse.

Honestly, this place has a good vibe, don’t know why but I keep coming back here. Staff are friendly and people are mostly all ages. Recommend.

Having had a bad experience at another Bath pub, we ended up here for lunch and found a pleasing pub with an on-site brewery producing a fine range of ales. It's a fairly basic, bare floorboards type venue, although not a really traditional old pub; probably rather studenty in the evenings - there is a college just a few doors down. The lunchtime was fairly quiet and there was a simple menu with things like burgers and fish & chips. Not cheap by any means, but the burgers we opted for were very good quality and much enjoyed, as was the selection of ales.

I may have been on my own when I visited this pub but I had an absolute blast. Proper local boozer, great atmosphere and music and despite being from out of town I always felt comfortable and welcome.
