The Bath Brew House in Bath and North East Somerset

We had a group of 30 booked for a birthday celebration and the Bath Brew House team did an excellent job of looking after us! They took note of who was eating what making the service so much easier, the food was absolutely delicious and great portion sizes with extra gravy and sauces for the tables, and the payments at the end were seamless as everyone was paying themselves. The garden in the sun was bloody lovely aswell! Highly recommend for a group get together!

Super-helpful and organised team, with good food and lovely private dining area (we used the Tank Room). Thanks Lucas, Connor and the rest of the team for making our team event fun and hassle free.

Pork belly Sunday roast!! 😋 That is all. Not really. Yes, the roast was absolutely delicious, but the service was also great, and though it was loud, it was also a great pub atmosphere. It's actually huge inside and has a massive beer garden for a centre of town pub. Best of all, it was dog friendly inside and out in the garden. Twobaconsandaboston

Love brewhouse. We class ourselves as regulars. And as regulars we always stand at the bar and wait for Kasey, Kasey is the highlight of our evening and always attends to us quickly and with not just with service. But hospitality. And as a man in hospitality I appreciate this and am quite frankly thankful for such a warm reception. Up for another great evening tonight with our pals. Quiz champions #3?? WE LOVE BREW!

I didn't think it was possible for pub food to be a level below Wetherspoons, but somehow this place managed it - for double the price.

They advertised two courses for £18 on a board outside We ordered drinks and asked for the feb special to be told it’s not on as it’s close to the end of the month and we are running out of produce ??? So we asked for the belly pork bites well they didn’t have any left 🤣 It says it’s warm inside we were frozen there was no heating on Sorry but we won’t be back

Was a pleasure to work with Bath Brew House using their private events space upstairs! I run a dating event company called Single Strangers and Bath Brew House were a great support on the night and on social media to promote the event. The space is cozy but surprisingly bigger than I thought, fitting my usual busy crowd! Staff helped me set things up on the night which was sweet and was there if I needed anything. It all went very smoothly and can highly recommend to hire the space! Thanks again for having me 😁

A great find in Bath. With their own micro-brewery in house so you can’t get more local brews! Easy to get to from the train station. Enjoyed a Sunday Roast recently and my husband had a burger and chips. Both excellent.

I visited the other week for drinks with a mate whilst visiting Bath. This pub is incredible - great atmosphere, huge shout out to the team too. Huge garden and they brew their own beers - absolutely delicious!

Lovely friendly place. We hosted a student party in the upstairs event space and the staff could not have been more helpful. We will be back!

Came here on a Friday night for work drinks. Really appreciate that the staff reserved our tables and supported when people sat there that weren't in our party. Beer selection is truly excellent. Staff are all nice and efficient and the pub is a really nice space. Huge outdoor seating area, too. Lovely in the summer.

The roast belly pork was delicious...better than some roasts we have had for a higher price. Some really nice touches too incl tables not being over crowded and apple sauce that wasn't the usual sweet baby food consistency.

There was no pie on the menu, which others had recommended. It was all very tasty, not massive but certainly enough. Beer selection good obviously, with paddles of 3 to try out different types. No cash and no tab. Perhaps that's normal in cities? Place was cold and draughty in January. Thankfully there are blankets for those braving it outside, so we used those indoors. Wheelchair accessible, side entrance, although we had to clear boxes out to get in. Downstairs accessible toilet. Tried to go back the next night but the pub was not available due to private booking.

Delicious beers. I particularly liked the stout called Deus. It was like having dessert as it was chololatey. I also enjoyed my chicken pie. Lots of seating. Quiet early on a Thursday evening

A party of 22 OAP's booked in for a 3 course Xmas meal. We were given an area of the pub which was tucked out of the main bar area, all for our use. The service was great, food hot and very tasty and the staff very attentative. They even delayed serving for 20 mins when a few of our party got lost. Everyone wants to book again next year. Thank you to all the staff (kitchen, bar and booking contact) for making the lunch such a wonderful experience. It couldn't have gone smoother.

Un gran "gracias" a todo el personal por el gran almuerzo de Navidad que organizó para nuestro grupo de petanca el 18 de diciembre. Incluso retrasaron amablemente servirnos durante 20 minutos cuando un par de nuestro grupo se perdió en su camino al lugar. Todo era perfecto, la tubería de comida caliente y súper sabroso, servicio rápido y eficiente. Nada era demasiado problema. Teníamos un extremo de la habitación principal para nosotros. ¡Todo el mundo lo disfrutó tanto que todos quieren volver el próximo año!

La peor hamburguesa smash que he comido (no pude terminar y me moría de hambre) + actitud del personal del bar, debería haberse ido entonces. Nunca más, no atascado para otros lugares para ir en Bath.

£14 for the worst smash burger I've ever ate (couldn't finish and I was starving) rushed mess and tasted odd. Hardly anyone else there either. Never again, not stuck for other places to go in Bath.

Tried to get in at roughly 22:45 on a Thursday and was told they shut in 10 minutes by the security guard, whilst there was music bursting out & party going on inside. This place has turned into an absolute joke.

Great beer garden, quirky, and just perfect for a summer afternoon beer or cider. Good selection of drinks. Happy helpful staff and plenty if seating but always busy. Also get 15% student discount. Fair prices.

Pub was quiet when we got there but it is big inside so would have to be very busy to feel full. Nice pint, staff were polite :)

Order & Pay QR code was quite a challenge and we avoid it at the end. I ordered at the bar two beers and loaded chips, but for the food there was 30' waiting and I refused to wait. For the beer, the "Gladiator" was not cold or chilled, I asked to the bar waiter and I was told that it was due to less carbonate in the beer, I understand that it was an excuse but, they could change the beer rather than losing a client.

Like most of the other reviews, the beer garden in this venue is awesome. Sometimes has live music playing and is smoke-free so overall it's a chilled and pleasant atmosphere. Prices aren't too bad either especially for being in a place like Bath, where you might as well be charged for just walking down the street. Service was friendly too. Look forward to going back.

Turned up at 1.30 on Friday lunchtime. Pub was empty, but a group was having food in a side room. We sat down in the courtyard and tried to get the QR code menus to come up on our phones - no joy. After a while I went to find some menus and found someone who said no food because of the big group eating. Could have let us know guys. The whole place looked a bit shonky tbh. I bet it's buzzing in the evenings, so maybe a nightie venue.

Great selection of beer, food was great, staff were very pleasant. Inside seating seemed nice but we sat in the garden had fresh air for the first half of our visit and then closed the roof when it started to rain. Would recommend if you're a beer lover. 10 to 20 pounds for food and a beer or flat.

Second pub in Bath and second 5 stars! Could not be happier. Spotlessly clean brewery at entrance a welcoming sign. Very friendly and a world class Kolsch lager in tank with lovely gentle haze and taste backed by awesome grain. Happy Dayz.

- The food, apart from the fully loaded chips, was good. - The cleanliness of the establishment was not up to standard. - The large open windows raise concerns about the kitchen being pest-free.

Wouldn't spin the wheel for us despite us offering to pay full price for what it landed on. There were 10 of us and they still declined our request so we went to Wetherspoons instead

The garden is just delightful. I love that it’s smoke-free (although vaping is allowed). The ales are tasty. If I lived in Bath I would be a regular. My son got the largest fried fish I’ve ever seen and I helped my husband eat half a roast chicken. Both delicious.

Lovely selection of ales and lager, nice outside space especially as it was hot. Downside my cheese and pickle sandwich was not as described on the menu - came toasted and very processed cheese (at a guess I would say not Barbers) which made it very greasy and pickle tasted acidic like a Branson Aldi version.

Local pub with an (artificial) garden in the back (rather large). Very friendly staff, large choice of good beers, nice place overall!

We popped in here for a quick pint before going onto some prebooked activities. It was fairly quiet given the time of day, but the lager was lovely and the beer garden was nice to chill out in.

It's very average. It's not super clean, the interior courtyard needs a good cleaning, and even inside the tables are almost all sticky (just like those outside) as well as the counter where you go to order . The food is just okay, nothing to write home about as they say, the fish & chips are nothing exceptional and the hamburgers are ok but nothing to wow. I won't go back, better value for money elsewhere.

We stopped by here for the quiz on Monday as part of our trip to Bath and what a treat of a pub it is! The pub is in a nice building with plenty of seating. They really take the quiz seriously with a dedicated quizzing area with space for easily 15+ teams. The drinks were affordable and the quiz itself was fun and delivered at a quick pace with generous prizes. My only petty comment is the pub boasts the best pub garden in Bath which is a "sun trap". It looked like it was entirely undercover from what I saw, but I didn't go fully outside haha.

A brew pub in the centre of Bath. A selection of cask & keg beers available. Brewery tours also available and an outside area for when the weathers good.

We went there yesterday and ordered 2 drinks one of them came in a broken glass. I went back to the bar and I show to the bartender he just take an other glass and pour it. (I mean there was a glass pice in) Nobody cares!

We dropped in during our short stay in Bath. We enjoy craft beers and always prefer to find a tap house rather than a pub. The staff member who served us was friendly and chatty. The boys in our group enjoyed the beers! It was lunchtime so we ordered food. It is a short menu but better for that - at least you know that it will be fresh! The large nachos was huge! We had it with the pulled pork which was pronounced delicious. A portion of wings and chicken tenders were of sufficient size for lunch and very tasty. A great find!

That was a jolly good Christmas lunch from The Brewhouse! Well cooked dishes, well presented, decent size, all on time and kind, friendly staff. Right down to the Christmas decoration and crackers our party of 20 had a really enjoyable time. I also liked the Deus stout, one of the many types of own-brewed beers. It had a slightly sweeter, dandelion & burdock flavour than most stouts. Very good accompaniment to a winter meal.

Came for a Christmas do. First time I've been here. Having been to many of these, over the years, you kind of know what you're going to get. Limp lettuce, luke warm food and staff who've had enough. I can honestly say that The Brew House was nothing like that! The table was set up in the corner for us, crackers and decorations - not over the top, but enough to help with the mood. About 15 of us at various points and we all fit quite well with space to eat. After chatting for a bit the starters were brought out. I'd opted for the celeriac soup. It was delicious. Seasoned well, no need to reach for the condiments, and was warm and rich. Really great soup. I sound surprised, but soup is usually hit or miss... This was a hit. From the table I could only hear good things about the other starters, which I've forgotten what they were - old age. Because I'm awkward, my main was off the normal menu - which they don't normally do this time of year and was a special request as I couldn't eat anything else... food allergies and the like. I have to say the mushroom burger was a delight. From the top down you had three pieces of gloriously squeaky halloumi, a large mushroom stuffed with breadcrumbs and garlic and probably lots of butter, rounded off by a huge slice of tomato, lettuce and - I think - pesto. It was delicious - and if you see this on the menu in the new year please try it. It came with fries that were golden and crispy. A really nice course all round. Others had the turkey, beef or fish and again I heard no complaints. Pudding was a simple affair of a lemon cheesecake but, again, it was really superb. The other choices were Christmas pudding and something I've forgotten!! Staff were really friendly and helpful - bonus points for having an accessible toilet on the ground floor. As we left an interesting party arrived at the bar... I would assume this is a very popular venue with students - given its close proximity to the college and the university. Lovely meal, great atmosphere, I would most definitely come here again!

We had our works Christmas Do here this weekend and everyone really enjoyed themselves. The food was tasty with large portions, great drinks and the service was amazing! They knew who had dietary requirements, there was no confusion over meal choices, all plates came out in good timing and the staff were all really friendly. Lucas did a great job with our booking from start to finish. Thanks so much to everyone involved, we will be back again!

Great pub - we visited every day of our stay in Bath. Atmosphere is great with lots of seating. Didnt try the food but looked incredible ! Great for couple, friends etc. Children and dog friendly. Clean. Amazing beer selection. Was so busy when we went as Bath Christmas markets and could have done with a couple extra staff on the bar.

Ben’s Guinness Santa hat made me wanna take him home, wrap him up in a cashmere blanket, and keep him there just for myself … my precccious.

Good brew house, very nice stout (Deus) although not gourmet burgers, they were really good and a mega plus is that it doesn't show football, just rugby 👍👍

Staff and team were absolutely amazing. Smiley faces and attentive service. However, during my meal I noticed the attitude that the manager gave to his staff. It seemed like an unhealthy workplace relationship and was truly upsetting to see. After seeing this poor show of management I feel uneasy to return to the Bath Brewhouse, and I truly hope that changes can be made as the staff work so so hard and I can’t help but imagine how underappreciated they may be.

2nd time we've performed as the 'Strays' here and what a great night. Always tremendous vibe and the staff are brilliant. Love it! If you love live music, get yourself down here.🎶🎸💖

Great place for drinking, food as got worse in the last few months. Mainly the burgers has got a lot smaller.

Not impressed. Arrived at 4.30pm in the afternoon to be told ‘sorry, our main bar is closed we are still setting it up’ ???!! I was then directed into the covered garden where a tiny bar is to be found selling a fraction of the beers that can be found inside. Sorry, but why are you setting up the bar at 4.30pm when you open at 12pm?? It’s a shame as there appeared to be some great beers on and it is a quirky place. Needless to say, I won’t be recommending or coming back. Really frustrating.

What a great bar! The outside seating is fantastic and gives a great vibe. The fish and chips meal was delicious, and the sour ipa is probably one of the best sours I've ever had. I'm from the states and I wish we had more places like this! We were sad that they were out of a few things we were interested in trying, even though the kitchen had barely opened, but what we did order was delicious. If you're not into fish, the mushroom burger was also delicious!

Where do I start with this pub? It's like having a mini beerfest in a pub. At the time of visiting there were 16 beers on. The couple I tried were good quality beers. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable of their business. Definitely will come back here during my stay in Bath.

Garden is lovely, starters were great, but steak was flavourless & tough & salsa was just halved cherry tomatoes, so was a bit disappointing.

We visited to watch ladies World Cup final whilst in Bath for the weekend. What a lovely family friendly pub with great beer garden, excellent range of drinks and great food menu with huge portions. Pub was very busy, atmosphere was buzzing and staff very attentive despite the 2 Dee at the bar. Will definitely be back next time in bath.

They don't take cash. Isn't it great having a local small business enable a two tier society. As policy they decided to penalise people who don't want to have corporations or the govt control and manage their money. Typically the less able or well off. Can't wait until society is totally cashless. And the merchant services companies have a monopoly and decide to up thier transaction fees and squeeze every drop of revenue from you👍 Low resolution short term thinking... Priceless

Popped in here on a day trip from Kent as their lunch prices were reasonable for Bath & they are a micro pub. We popped in here for lunch & a pint on a day trip from Kent. Not disappointed. The Gladiator Best. bitter was well kept & proved a good pint. The haddock & chips has to be the best we've ever had ANYWHERE EVER, & we're both over 65!! Batter was incredibly light. The haddock tasted *just caught fresh" & the chips were light & fluffy. The ramekin of peas was cooked just right. The tartar sauce was a generous portion. Didn't feel bloated but nice full. Could not fault the beer, food or welcome! Well done!

Lively place and once I found one of their bets I liked I was very happy. Very busy so service at the bar can be a little slow at times, but staff were great and good atmosphere.

Go there regularly for great beer and good food. Need a bit more coleslaw with the burgers though to get the extra star 😀

Decided to pop in for a drink after walking past. I was surprised to have found a table on a Friday night as there were loads of people, but it’s a massive place with loads and loads of tables. We ordered two rounds using the QR code and the drinks arrived very quickly! The staff were really friendly! Great spot for a quick drink!

Great atmosphere, but over run with students and the live music they had on the night was entertaining in the very loose sense of the word. Fairly expensive pints and food was mediocre.
