The Cafe By Fly in Bath and North East Somerset

We were in Bath on a month long trip to the UK. I have been to Bath before and I really like being in that city. It's like a home away from home. People are always so nice there. I met a girl from a local college that I met at the airport and she worked at this restaurant, I believe her name is Audrey, she has blonde hair, sorry if I forgot your name! lol...Anyway, she told us to stop there to have breakfast. She prepared some fruit smoothie for me and my wife and we bought other stuff also. Her and the crew were very nice and the food was fantastic. I am sure glad she suggested to stopping. Place was hard to find but we finally found it. It's across the street from the Bath's main entrance. We never got to say goodbye wanted to at least let them know we enjoyed stopping there and talking to her and the crew. Little things like this make it a fun trip. Visited with family on sunday, food and coffees all fine. I had a problem paying because appeared their card machine was playing up. Next day saw my card had been charged twice. Went back on monday and Anna (pardon me if i have that wrong) sorted it all out quickly, efficiently and politely. Very good service.

We came here during the Xmas market and had: a very diluted and watery hot chocolate with some tube whip cream on top which they charge an extra £0.5 for, an also watery tasting lager from the tap in a plastic cup (despite sitting down to have it) for a whopping £6, and an acceptable mince pie whose saving grace was that it was warm and which has made me give this experience a 2 rather than 1 star rating.

Have had amazingly thick and filling açai bowls here before but today got a takeaway one. Just a wet bowl of açai berries with a few seeds. Like a soup. Waste of money. Would usually go to Nook up the road but they are closed on Mondays. Won’t be getting an açai bowl at The Cafe at Fly anymore. I think they must be short of staff who can make them as the girl making the coffee was shouting instructions to the girl making them. I should have seen the red flag!

Disappointing to say the least. We only had coffees and a cinnamon bun - the coffees were luke warm and the bun stale as if it had been around for a while in the warm air

Been regular with friends since Covid as it’s has got outdoor space for seating. On this occasion we were treated with disgraceful as we order n our drinks and paid it the server did ask me dine in or take away and we said seating. When we received our drinks it was in takeaway cups so we politely enquired that we asked for dine in. The server said oho we have shortage of staff that’s why we use take away cups but we said we are dine in so what serve in takeaway cups..Then I went inside and enquire with the person whom I order she said yes we have changed our policy not to serve in the cups so we are using take away cups so I asked that u ask me for dine in / take away and I sud dine in so y dot u inform me that it would be in takeaway.. in between the manager barged in and said so what we do not have to inform that we are using take away cups. I said of course I’m the customer and paying for it so I have all the right to be informed that.. she started Saying we do not have staff to wash the cups so I said it’s not my problem to short out it’s urs as a customer I have my right to be served right. And she was very rude in the tone … so said sorry I do not want give my money back .. she said I can’t give u money back because of takeaway cups I said of course u have to I dt like to drinks in the takeaway cups .. she was very rude and abrupt however she refused to give my refund and I put the drinks cups on the desk… and left Then I return to asked for my receipt which I paid she was very reluctant to give my receipt but I pressed her to give my receipt..So pls avoid like this place as a customer to need to be served right what you use your hard earned money.We won’t be visiting again as we were regulars every weeks spending well among groups of 5-6 people The manager should have dealt with situations calmly not aggressive ,pls avoid this place

Loved the banana bread and the Açai bowl! All food was fresh and delicious! Would highly recommend this place for a quick catch up over coffee or somewhere to do some work. Staff were so funny and friendly! Loved it! Xx Thank you FLY ❤️

We needed to kill a bit of time before our spa visit and this place was just next door so ideally placed. We ordered our tea, coffee and cakes and thoroughly them. If we had, had more time we would have probably have had lunch as the menu looked really interesting with some different options from the usual cafe type offerings.

A “Mrs Aldam” approved cafe. The decaf cappuccino had Excellent depth and flavour, from a local Bath roasting house. Even had to have a second cup! The quiche dish was also DELICIOUS. Really wasn’t expecting that level of quality and quite blown away. Well worth stepping off the main drag, to find this little gem.

In need of coffee, but not from a chain, and came across this little cafe. Staff, service, quiche and coffee all great. Prices for city centre good too.

Found this lovely friendly and efficient little cafe when visiting Bath with family. Although food looked delicious we unfortunately didn't have time to order and enjoy so we just had coffee and cakes (amazing price for city centre). Both were delicious and coffees were well presented. If ever I get to Bath again I will definitely pay a return visit.

Served by two very young waitresses who have no training and can’t make coffee..and a toasted sandwich isn’t 2 pieces of toast with tomato ketchup in the middle!! Where are the managers? I don’t suppose much of the £20 taken from me will make its way into those young girls’ wages.

Stopped off for quick breakfast on way to the Roman Baths . Located between the old and new baths with dog friendly outside seating. All healthy options from pancakes to South American acai bowl of blueberry strawberries bananas linseed - granola . A really super food breakfast and both huge portions

This is a fantastic cafe serving some amazing food all of it being healthy options in the main. The staff attitude is second to none and really attentive. If you want vegan options then this is the place for you. Would def come here again and wouldn’t mind the chef doing my personal menu plans as the food is delicious 😋

I have been to the Café by Fly multiple times for breakfast and coffee. They have a great selection of foods - I recommend their protein pancakes and acai bowls. The coffee is excellent, there is covered outdoor seating and the staff are very friendly.

Great local cafe with a twist. A little different to the norm as they serve a more selective menu geared towards healthier choices. Having said that, we had the lighter eggs Benedict and protein pancakes. Both were 5star for quality and taste. If you want...

Came across this cafe by accident whilst walking through Bath! Had a delicious eggs benedict with orange juice, all Tasted so fresh and the staff were so polite and helpful! Definitely coming back next time we're in Bath

This cafe is such a treat. I love popping in for a quick protein shake. The location is a gem too, being right next to the baths but also tucked away from the crowds.

Whilst waiting for our tour of the Baths we popped in for a quick coffee and bite to eat. Fairly limited choice and expensive for what it was - and think we were overcharged - and asked if I wanted to leave a tip when...

I had a coffee and avocado toast at this cafe. The service was quick and warm. But I genuinely could have made a more flavourful avocado toast home. The coffee was alright.

Nice polite friendly staff. However we wanted to sit inside, and there was very limited room, partly because a table of 4 was fully occupied by 1 young man who was using it as a coffice with laptop and one very old coffee. Anyway, outside...
