The best restaurants serving Other cuisines food in South West

Very friendly staff and good food. Good selection of vegetarian, which was great to see. I had the veg curry which was very nice We would return if we didn't have to pay £10 to get into the village being local ish to Clovelly.

Second time visiting this pub but first time after new management. Went for a birthday party of a family member, the bar has a cozy old feel to it with many a drink on tap or in bottle. Then we were shown to our table (venue room), all set out to fine top standard. Our host Sarah was amazing; tending to orders, sorting drinks ,food the lot. Compliments to the chef for the food.

Clean onsuite room in a pleasant country pub, perfect as a waypoint on the Cotswold Way about 30km outside of Bath. Menu is extensive, and the piub was not very full even on a Saturday night. Food and service was OK but nothing special.

Great tea cakes! Plus a nice hot tasty chocolate drink after a walk up Castle Hill. Good choice of cakes and quaint surroundings suiting the village setting.

Service has been fantastic, I joined my family for a few days over the past week and James has been an amazing host - chatty, accommodating and outright friendly. Had food one evening, wouldn't necessarily recommend the ribs, but for drinks and socialising The Retreat is a great place to go! Will be returning! Adam from Bristol (3 dogs)

Regular to Newquay often calling onto the bakery for a sandwich to take to the the beach - food is ok / pretty good service very hit and miss called in on a random visit to Newquay a couple of weeks ago we are Always polite say hello & enquire how there day is going etc, service hit and miss & felt like it was all too much trouble to make sandwiches and get some cakes from the selection, all in pretty poor service and on this basis not sure we would go back. Elder lady and two young girls serving in front of bakery, shop was empty and they are not remotely interested in serving us all too much trouble £17 lighter and not so much a thank you at the end.

Good vibes, outside play park for kids and sports on the tele. Good little pub

Had the nut roast from the carvery and was very impressed. It was one of the nicest nut roasts I've had. All the group enjoyed the food from the carvery. Very reasonably priced too. We will definitely go there again. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating so ideal whatever the weather.

Our party consisted of a vegan, a couple of fussy eaters and one 'normal' fella looking for Sunday lunch. The chef was more than happy -and able - to work around our requirements and the resulting food was amazing; the vegan Wellington was wonderful. There's a warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere. After lunch, we took a look at the resident emus and goats before heading back to camp for an obligatory Sunday afternoon nap. We would definitely visit again and highly recommend.

One of the toasties was only warm so had to go back for reheating. Then realised my partners milk jug was filthy dirty inside & out. I tried cleaning the inside of it with an anti bac wet wipe & hey presto it made a difference. I pointed this out to a staff member who apologised & said the dishwasher is not cleaning the milk jugs properly. I explained they should not be using them if this is so. Yuck, what else isn’t it cleaning? Not returning, far too dirty for me & not willing to pay for this type of service.

Visited for lunch with a friend, we both chose the southern fried chicken wrap with coleslaw and chips from the two for £18 menu. We asked if we could have salad instead of chips, at no time we were told this would be extra! The wrap was lovely, the salad consisted of a small amount of lettuce, one slice of cucumber one baby tomato a couple of slices of onion and a few sweetcorn kernels. When we came to pay we were charged an extra 75p for this salad! We were told more expensive than chips! I just assumed they would replace the chips with salad didnt expect to pay extra! But the wrap etc was lovely, just as shame about this extra charge which I feel was unnecessary! I live locally so will visit again but I will make sure of what I'm getting in future!

Quite possibly the worst pub I've ever been in. Empty and souless. Bar staff have zero personality and I would rather stay in and watch the antiques road show.

We had our wedding here, from ceremony to reception. Grace and her team were faultless. Grace guided us through the day, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. She made us both feel relaxed and looked after. The rooms were beautifully set up, the wedding breakfast was lovely and the in house DJ had everyone on the dance floor. A perfect day, we would highly recommend having your special day here. We even had some cheeky treatments in the hotel spa the day before. Just what you need before your big day ❤️. Cozy local which seems popular with the folk of Bridport

Visited with my wife for coffee and cake that was advertised on a large poster outside. Was told the cake had sold out. This was 10 am in the morning. Had to wait for coffee while staff finished off their conservation. Poor customer service. Will not return. Much better independent coffee shops in town that value your custom.
