Visit here regularly with husband, have always enjoyed our experience. Wimborne Christmas Day festival visited with couple girl friends after saying how much I enjoy it. Tea and cakes were great.Young staff really let you down.Surly, disinterested at 3pm. It was not full .Requested more hot water with our tea and took a bet to see if it would arrive. It didn’t! Had to request again and was given half a milk bottle of hot water for 3 tea pots . This wasn’t the problem,it was the attitude of the staff . I’m cross because the experience left my friends a negative “will give Petit Prince a miss in the future after they said there are plenty of welcoming places in Wimborne.”

Visited recently. Nice little cafe which seems popular. Coffee is average though served in very small cups. Poor value for the price charged. I asked for a larger cup! My question is why does it take so long to warm up a scone?! Must have waited for about 20 minutes with no apology. Partner was not given his cake either until asked. When both arrived coffees were cold. Partner did receive another espresso when asked though!

We walked in to order our food. It Costs extra for eat in. We didn’t get asked once to eat in she told us are you taking away so we replied with yes we are. We were eating our food on the table with a pasty bag. This lady that served us came up to us and started shouting saying you can’t eat in without saying your going to eat in because we give you plates and you haven’t payed to eat in. We sat behind the till on sofas and we could see her and hear her talking about us to her other colleges and was saying some quite vile rude words. One of us from our table as she walked by said excuse me and she walked away and ignored us and the other staff just kept looking over and making faces that weren’t necessary. Eventually my friend went over to her and said excuse me but you have to pay extra to eat a pastie in here and not once did we get asked are we eating in or taking away and the way your speaking to us is not good customer service at all. There was people coming in and out using the toilets without even paying or eating food and sitting in the cafe so we questioned her on it and she said yes because we’ve made a rule were random people can come in and use the toilets. She was rude, unnecessary and really unprofessional. And had zero customer service. The food is way over priced. We

Our 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration in the restored railway carriage. We had 30 guests so were able to have the carriage to ourselves. To our delight on arrival we found a glorious bouquet of flowers from the staff. This got the event off to a flying start. We were able to arrive early to add suitable decorations and balloons. Glasses, and drinks were laid our ready at the entrance to the carriage. Although they do not have a licence for alcohol at the moment we were able to take our own and pay corkage. As it was the Halloween season we had the added benefit of these decorations as well. We chose a simple 3 course menu with a roast main, decided on in advance. Kim one of the chefs, was very helpful in getting things right. On the day Ann and the team were great. Service was efficient and the food was fine. The atmosphere in the old style carriage was great and the first class seating was very comfortable. Because it was a Sunday, the attached Garden Centre had to close by 4.30, which gave us plenty of time for a really successful event, which everyone enjoyed. The occasion was quite pricey, but not against other less attractive venues. A lovely occasion which we will remembered by us and our friends and relatives. Might be back for a 'Murder on The Orient Express'. Thank you. Liz and Simon

Just went here to meet a group of my colleagues for something to eat and was told that they were doing takeaway only .I asked if they had changed the closing time as it was only 3pm and she replied that they were closing early as it had been quiet ! I ordered a takeaway coffee and phoned friends to change cafe .Photo is of the large cappuccino! Half a cup of cold coffee. Don't bother going here lots more lovely coffee shops close by.

I love this cafe, the staff are friendly and doing their best. But the tiny fly problem mentioned in another review has been ongoing for a couple of years. It’s very irritating and off putting to have them land on your coffee cup! Not sure why it’s not been sorted out. The upstairs has been undergoing repair/refurbishment for months and months and is currently out of action. Such a shame!

Not very nice, needs massive refurb. Garden disgusting, toilets disgusting and £6.50 for a pint of 1664 to add insult to injury.

Typically great brewdog atmosphere and like normal the bar staff have good music taste. Impressive guest drinks selection, and awesome food menu. Love the buffalo sauce they use here. Really do like the atmosphere. If the drinks were a little cheaper I’d sit and drink for hours.

Nice outdoor seating and tasty coffee and cakes. Let down by strange service set up, we only ordered coffee and cake. The coffee arrived promptly but no sign of our cakes. When I asked, I was told by 2 members of staff just sat around that there were other orders ahead of mine. Why neither of them can be trusted to put 2 pre sliced cakes on plates is beyond me.
