Superb service, all the staff are so friendly. The lady with purple hair is just so lovely!

The usual typical Costa coffee chain. Coffee is good though. Never enough staff working there so always a big queue

Great place to sit and have a break whilst up the Broadway shopping. Friendliest staff you'll find in any retail setting especially Dante being just one of the team is always pleasant and helped me to my table as I have shoulder issues, always informative about the products. Every time I go into this Costa the staff are sound and friendly, it's like that in all of the Costas I have been but this one stands out.

Drink came unmixed, left out payed for bacon bap and put “NIA sorry” on receipt? Didn’t refund and we weren’t informed before the order this wouldn’t be coming. Dissapointing

I came in today with my toddler and the lady serving us was so lovely and welcoming. We decided to eat in and the atmosphere inside was very nice and relaxing. Our food and drink arrived quickly and was delicious. Thank you for a lovely visit

I remembered why we don't visit Costa anymore it's because of poor service and cold coffee.

I love costa and had a pleasant experience here with a staff member called Dante, so lovely and welcoming. Will be coming again.

Visited recently with my daughter. Lovely hot chocolate and the chocolate cake we shared was delicious. Never disappointed with Costa. We will definitely pop in again if we are in the area.

Coffee has improved Service is better too

No hot water so no coffee or tea and not allowed to use a kettle bullocks

5yrs ago I reviewed this Costa as a 2 Star. Broadway Costa now has one of the best Costa Baristas I've met. Hugh is not only great at making coffee, he's great with customers including kids. Food is Costa standard. Atmosphere is nice.

Love how friendly and welcoming the staff are. There are clearly regulars attending the shop and it shows by how the staff interact with them

Was not all that clean only 9am table were dirty hard to find a clean one the chairs were all stained. The floor was very dirty windows and sides. Over priced just not a nice experience toilets were closed. So had to rush home no other toilets available.

This place can never get an order correct. Everytime I order costa from here there is something missing. How hard it's it to follow the receipt and put thw correct things in the bag. So frustrating

An amazing experience always ! The team here are outstanding ! Clayton and Jake along with Liz and Mia today are all so friendly and personable. Nothing is too much trouble. They are outstanding in patience even when customers break the loo ! I highly commend this Plymstock Costa. The most friendly place you will experience. 10/10 !

Now they have changed who looks after the store it is soooo much nicer in there. The man with the bandana is great to talk to and is light hearted.

Best service I’ve ever received in a Costa, Dante was polite and engaging with both myself and my 10 year son, offered me a sample of a new drink similar to the one I ordered, and gave us fantastic service, so much so that my son wanted go to know how he could give a review!

Usually very clean in there, I have two little children and the staff brought my order over to me, the baby made a mess and I cleared up as best I could, there was some crumbs left on the Highchair and floor and while we was leaving a member of staff came over looked at it and made a point about it. Apart from that experience the service was overall good.

Food is okay, but a bit pricey. However amazing service and a great variety of drinks

Costa is Costa, but the staff here go the extra mile despite being run off their feet. I'm disabled and they look after me like royalty. Tables are cleared quickly and cleaned, and this is in a lovely local shopping precinct The Broadway, Plymstock.

I've used Costa at the Broadway I several occasions. Usually just have a coffee and sometimes a cake. But do find cakes a tad expensive. Staff are usually on the whole suite pleasant. But sometimes there is a wait if they are busy. It's usually quite clean there come tables are cleared reasonably well. If your there and you like coffee or other drinks non alcoholic then worth a visit.

For the first time in 2 years I had such a lovely welcome from the new manager! Best thing costa did was get rid of the red headed woman. Didn’t even know her name but she was always so unpleasant and unwelcoming. Everything you asked for seemed like a chore, never saw the woman smile in 2 years. But the new manager is a doll ❤️well done costa

Fantastic, just fantastic. First visit to Broadway since the 80s and my release from HMP. I'm skint so couldn't afford anything but Costa looked good. Staff didn't get too irate when they caught me going through the bins, so all good. Will be back for sure.

Whenever and wherever you pay a visit to Costa then one thing you are guaranteed to receive is a lovely smooth Coffee. The outlet situated on the Broadway in Plymstock being a case in mind. Standard Costa Menu of Drinks - Hot & Cold - plus Food Snacks and a couple of Breakfast offers to entice you. Baristas were both Efficient and Friendly and we enjoyed a Flat White & Latte as we sat in the plentiful indoor seating. Ideal location if you live in the area or are paying a visit - as we were.

No cinnamon sprinkles on cappuccinos is ridiculous. Why not stop chocolate sprinkles too! Will try and avoid whenever I can cos if you can't get what you want then better off going elsewhere!

We were in the company of the Daughter & Grand-Daughter and after a visit to a nearby park decided on this cold February Morning to pay a visit to the nearby Costa for a Hot Coffee. Lovely and warm inside and nice friendly efficient Service. We sat to enjoy a Medium Decaf Latte, Decaf Flat White, Large Extra Hot Latte and a Hot Chocolate Babycino for the Little Un. Lovely and smooth and well worth the money.

I wish they were open till later 😇

Go in here practically every weekend. Disappointed today, got 2 take out Lattes. New staff member male,dark hair didn't hear up enough milk and added water, didn't tap so loads of froth and when I mentioned topped up with slightly milky water all but clear. Won't be back again if he is working. Normal staff good but not today

I really do enjoy a latte but recently worring im getting fat lol I've moved onto a flat white which is ok but it's no latte, so says my taste buds lol. Having M&S has uped the anti as the cakes and snacks are outstanding .

We paid our first visit to Costa at Plymstock Broadway on our final day of our visit to see Family. Great tasting Drinks and freshly prepared. All at a cost comparable with others. Free WiFi helps especially if you have things to check out. Plenty of seating as well and friendly staff.

I go to this costa quite a lot and the staff are all really friendly and service is brilliant. But today I have received such wonderful service. My daughter dropped her hot chocolate over the floor and was upset that she had spilt her drink. A member of staff (didnt get her name!) Came over and cleaned up the mess straight away and then gave my daughter another hot chocolate and she was over the moon! Sometimes people make you feel more embarrassed when your kids act up/make a mess but she was amazing and so lovely! Thank you!

We arrived at 5.05pm by 5.25pm the waitress was putting chairs on tables and all but the disabled toilet was locked. We were made to feel that we should leave. The closing time is 6.30pm.unwelcoming staff.

We paid our Maiden visit to Costa on the Broadway and I believe this is a great addition to the Costa Empire. Lovely well thought out purpose built store in a prime location. Plenty of Inside Seating, Good Customer Service and that same Great Coffee all adds up to a Great Costa Experience.

I think all Costa's seem to be pretty much the same, there is nothing special about this one. I do not think the staff try to be friendly and I understand it needs to be cleaned but sweeping under the table I am sitting at and moving chairs around etc. Is a little off putting when you just want some quiet time.

Came here reluctantly as I don't usually support multi national companies preferring to support local businesses but nothing else suitable was available early in the morning on The Broadway, Plymstock. The coffee was okay but the service was rather dismissive and disinterested.

It’s the epitome of detached isolated mediocre high density suburbia. A symbolically depressing building in the midst of a down market 60’s shopping cluster that has past its time. Possibly better than sitting at home in front of daytime television. And a very poor Costa. Old folk making the best of their days, overtired stressed young parents and lonely singles gazing into space. Add in the spiky indifference of staff and the only choice is to drink up and move on swiftly. Parking is free.

The staff can be a little rude at times that seems to be the women in there also we have gone in there 3 hours before closing and a lot of the chairs are packed up so no where to sit, I also found a coffee bean in my food once think that was November time. I will still go but would rather go to a different Costa.

Husband and I popped in for a snack...stood waiting for a short while to be served,which we didn't mind,The manager said " what can I get you " I replied and paid for our order.My husband wanted his ciabatta warmed up so I asked if it was ok to have this warm to which she replied " yeah " then snatched it out of my hand !!! Went and sat down and thought how rude.A while later the manager brought my husband's ciabatta over,husband started to eat the ciabatta when he started crunching something in his mouth....somehow a solitary coffee bean had got into his ciabatta....My husband isn't 1 to cause a scene so we got up and walked out.Don't worry Alexandra ( manager ) won't be bothering again.

Many people loved the broadway before they added Costa in the middle which many hated. It is not bad, and I do recommend it

Well done Costa, once again you have managed to make what should be a nice pleasant relaxing coffee into 'Oh my god what is this I'm drinking and get me out of here as the place is not clean'. Just couldn't taste anything from the latte, I could imagine dishwater tasting like it. The floor and counter around the base of the cakes needed a good deep clean and also the seats around our table had cake crumbles and old napkins stuffed down the back. The more you looked the more dirt you saw. Overall not a pleasant experience.

Thought I'd treat myself to a coffee before work. The lady serving was very short and unfriendly. Obviously didn't want to be there and not a people person. Coffee was lovely. Glad I was taking away tho.

Too noisy, staff exceptionally slow, and the manager constantly moaning about customers and mess does not make you feel like you want to be there or go back again.

Noisy machines and very intrusive and noisy piped music, Nice touch to have sit -out area with sun umbrellas for those occasional sunny summer day and you can get away from everything noisy mentioned above. Food on offer looked and tasted mediocre. Cakes looked 'tired' Coffee frappe quite nice but again noisy to produce. Out of three visits so far, only one has been a good experience when weather permitted sitting out. At the last visit, a member of staff was putting chairs on tables to pack up and clean when at least two sets of customers were present and trying to enjoy their coffee/snack.

Lovely having a new costa coffee shop close to home go in there most mornings for my takeaway coffee on the way to work, all staff very pleasant,friendly and helpful, wish the same could be said about one of the manager's her attitude is terrible she's rude and obnoxious, how's she's a manager is beyond me!!!!! Rant over.

Nice and clean coffee ok could be a little cheaper on the coffee prices but apart from that it a nice place to go to shop and have a coffee with family and friends

Really can only comment on the overall atmosphere and cleanliness as face up after 15 mins waiting to be served... Just 2 baristas with a sizeable queue on a Sunday afternoon.. The Costa is a welcome addition to a deteriorating area, however it already looks shabby, floors dirty, surfaces covered in crumbs; staff looked over worked and simply didn't have enough time to clean up properly - although was it really necessary for one barista to flick excess smoothie from her hands onto the floor... Sinks full of dirty jugs, milk bags piled up on the floor , muffins exposed to the public on the open display. The end result was I left and got an Americano, muffin and 2 sausage rolls from the adjacent Rowe's all for £5.10 so every cloud....!!

It's been much delayed but has opened at last this week. It was opposed by a lot of locals in the Plymstock suburb of Plymouth because of its perceived threat to similar but independent cafes and perhaps taking trade from other businesses in and around this slightly dank 1960s shopping cluster. It's worth remembering that Costa was founded only a few years after the Broadway was built so it's not far out of phase. The metal and glass box doesn't jar much against the other buildings and if anything brings a bit of refreshing modern flavour. The hot drinks and food prices are standard and little different from the nearby functional Warrens Bakery and the more folksy and personal coffee and cake place in the local branch library just outside the precinct. It was quite lively on our visit and fairly busy with a mix of ages. Whether it will improve the fortunes of this high density mid demographic outer suburb of Plymouth remains to be seen but I can't see it doing any harm. The place had a bit of a lift about it and the staff were friendly. But we don't usually frequent chains.
