Amazing! The best best night out, it’s a disco spoons, you all need to go!!! Perfect for uni students, go on a saturday it’s so good

We all know that Weatherspoons are hit or miss but this was a big miss for breakfast. Warm at best and not too presented that well, no one ask if it was ok but the staff were busy but not good this one.

Having read a lot of negative reviews I felt I should try to balance the picture. Being a bit older my friends and I do not often go to Wetherspoons later in the evening. We do go earlier, usually before the monthly comedy club at the Playhouse across the road. That is often a Thursday so we take advantage of the Curry Club offer making it even cheaper than usual. For under a tenner you get a delicious curry plus rice naan and a couple of poppadoms. The food is brilliant. Plus you get a pint or other alcoholic drink. Even on other days you get all this for about £11! The staff are efficient and friendly. The pub is ok if not luxurious and generally clean. What on earth do people expect for their money?! It is fast food of the highest order in my view at ridiculously low prices. Like I said I cannot comment on whether the place and the clientele deteriorates as the night goes on but we love it earlier in the evening.

This place is a big pub with fastfood concept for good prices. The staff is frienly and the burger was okay. So for a Quick lunch for less money you can try!

We visited both Wetherspoon's pubs for drinks on the same day and can say this place was a bit grim. Tired, dirty and dark inside. We much preferred The Bank House.

Had a few drinks here when on a stay in Cheltenham. Two pints for less than a fiver. This is the only Spoons I've come across with a DJ and dance floor.

No steaks on the menu, no pancakes on menu. This was at 3-00 pm Thursday. Never been disappointed with weatherspoons before

Good ales and food friendly staff especially Adam and Murray . It's good value compared to any other pub.

Some very nice hand pulled beer and a tasty fish, chips and peas. This ticks all the value for money boxes and cannot really be criticised. Service Ok. Beer about half the price of an alternative pub.

Just staying one night in Cheltenham and stopped for a drink when returning to the car. Probably the worst Spoons I’ve been in. Dirty, floor covered in food, filthy tables and staff utterly disinterested.

Last night me and my family went to spoons cheltenham and were having a good time for hours. Then some people who looked to be around 20 walked in and started recording my mum dancing to make fun of her. When she rightfully confronted them and asked them to stop they called over the bouncer and got her kicked out all because they were too childish to let people have a good time. The manager simply couldn’t have cared less that a woman in her 40s was being recorded and made fun of in his pub by stupid kids and gave little help, he just walked away. Completely ruined the night and meant they lost the business of 9 adults instead of 4 kids. The bouncer was also awful at his job but most of them are.

Last Sunday, 30 of us gathered and had a great Sunday lunch. Although there was no Roast, no traditional vegetable dishes, we all had a good time at a reasonably price. because of the high no. Of us(30). The staff was excellent, moving all the tables and putting us all together. Service was great. here I’d like to thanks the dedicated staff. Some food & drinks were delayed , they apologised. Although we tried to book in advance, but advise “ this is their company policy “ no booking! It was quite a bit kiosk at the beginning. Suggestion: if there is a large group like this, may I suggest people booked with their credit card. If they don’t turn up charges £1.00 for over 20 people. In here , again likes to thank you their staff on that day. Please pass to the team on that day

A absolute carcass of a place, that I wouldn’t pick over, see you next Tuesday 🤢🤢🤢🤮 it’s just the same old wash up in Cheltenham, no music no soul and as where would you would go, probably the flight club

Was staying nearby over the weekend and came for breakfast Saturday and Sunday morning. Can’t fault it. Well cooked and free refills on tea and coffee, great!

Went for the normal weatherspoons breakfast. Looking a bit tired now and in need of renovation. Breakfast though was ok wasn’t over hot. The downside was it appears there are quite a gathering of people enjoying ales a 9 o’clock in the morning who look like they were regulars at this time. Some of the language from this particular clientele was rather fragrant for this time in the morning.

About average for a spoons but worth going if you just want to hang with friends for a drink. The service was also pretty fast.

It you like eating in a cow shed and food served cold by hanging staff then this right is up your street. Absolutely avoid at all costs.

This a good sized branch of Wetherspoon's .....and clearly popular. The bar is impressive in size and content and there is plenty of space inside and an area outside, at the back too. I only called in for a coffee but the experience and ambience was pleasant.

Looking for a fuss-free breakfast on Valentines day away from home and Wetherspoons was open. A full english in several sizes was available and served promptly. The ingredients were better quality than I was expecting (very nice bacon, sausages and seedy bloomer toast) and the butter was brand-name (Lurpak) and generously portioned. DH enjoyed endless tea while I had a (large) glass of prosecco in the spirit of the day. The barman/waiter was smart, polite and helpful and the other customers were quiet and chilled. To top it off the prices are very reasonable.

Visited this pub for the first time on a Saturday afternoon to watch the six Nations rugby. The pub is large and has very nice décor. After the rugby we decided to have dinner. I had Hunter's chicken, which was delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly and was hot. The chips were amazing. My boyfriend had the chicken jalfrezi. He said it was very tasty, but that it was hottest curry he had ever eaten! And he has eaten a lot of hot curries! Overall we enjoyed our visit and hopefully we will visit more often. We ere visiting Cheltenham and were happy to find this Wetherspoons pub. You know what you are going to get with this chain. This pub was spacious with lots of tables and we were able to find one for us. Our food and drink arrived nice and quickly and this was a pleasant experience all round. Although a busy place, this was not a noisy pub.

Wetherspoons are renowned for providing unbeatable value. In our case a party of 3 had meals and drinks for a total of £21. Although busy, did not seem crowded, and it was a relaxed and comfortable dining experience.

I'm a regular customer here with my dad and we decided to have the ultimate burger. It was cooked well, nice and juicy and well flavoured. I will definitely be having this again, plus the staff are always friendly and helpful I can't recommend this place enough. The service and food it just as good if not better than some of the other places where you pay more for the same.

Always nice meals and very clean and tables kept tidy as most weatherspoons have unwiped tables with full of dirty plates left there ...Bar staff always polite and no waiting time to give your food order...Good Management!

Been into Moon Under Water a couple times this month with my son as a treat for lunch. Both very happy. Staff were lovely, food was great, & a lovely atmosphere. Very happy customers.

This a nice wetherspoons we a couple of meals fish and chips and panini both very good there is small outside section as usual it as a good array of drinks and nice atmosphere

People outside the UK may not be aware of the reputation that Wetherspoons has for being a low-end pub, probably because the food and drink are extremely inexpensive. Most meals come with a free drink. We went on a Sunday night, not finding anything else open, and the food was really good. Dinner for two plus free drinks was £14. You place your order at the counter.

Quite spacious and places to sit outside back and front which was handy in this heat wave. Usual Wetherspoons fare. Staff friendly and efficient, food arrived hot. Children enjoyed their meals. Attention needed in the toilets. All of these premises seem to ignore the toilet cleaning that is required.

Very, very happy customer. I was shaperone for my son meeting his special needs club for adults. When he went off to sit with the group, I was left alone, so decided to order some food. I managed to get the attention of a staff member called Nick. He was absolutely lovely. I told him what I wanted to eat, & a drink. He went to the bar & ordered for me, brought my drink to me, took the money, & even brought my meal to me. He checked that I was ok throughout the evening, & was willing to tend to my every need. I am disabled, & in a wheel chair when out, & Nick was an absolute diamond. Very happy customer.

I recently visited both Wetherspoon pubs in Cheltenham with my family and found a big difference between the two. Unlike The Bank House, I found the staff here quite lazy and rude. The tables were covered in plates and glasses that no one seemed bothered to clear away. Every time I tried to get staff’s attention they would either ignore me or respond with an abrupt ‘WHAT’ I also noticed a few girls stood behind the bar on their phones not working and instead just gossiping away. The decor is also quite gloomy and there’s a few strange characters in there that were quite off putting to me and my family. Overall not a great atmosphere but at least the food was warm... the only saving grace of the evening.

Usually use this pub for breakfast when I'm in Cheltenham, big pub with plenty of tables so always loads of space unless it's the Cheltenham Festival when it's obviously very busy. One of the better Wetherspoons establishments although don't sit too close to the back door onto the patio area when it's not very warm because there is a constant flow of smokers opening the door to go outside for a fag. The food is good value and staff usually friendly

It’s Wetherspoons. There is a fantastic selection of well kept beers and the prices are low. This is a nice airy building. I didn’t eat here but the food looked good. Had my favourite Citra from Oakham Ales on. Staff were polite and friendly.

We went for a Sunday evening drink and it was surprisingly quiet. Service was quick (we only had drinks) and there seemed to be a well stocked bar, but nothing exciting or out of the ordinary caught my eye. Mind you, it is a Wetherspoons, so not a surprise.

Asked for Gammon chips and eggs and a pint of lager no chips even got served drunken louts on the veranda shouting and screaming horrible place will never return
