No likely to visit coffee shop again. Coffees were just ok , but had no alternative but use their cardboard cups ! Didn't matter if you planned to drink it inside the shop or not. Plus zero atmosphere in Nero

I went here a couple of times whilst staying at the Cotswold Water Park. I have read some of the previous reviews notably from 2023! I found no problem with the cafe. It was clean, relatively quiet, even on market day, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Coffee was up to the usual excellent Nero standards. It is also beautiful to sit outside opposite the glorious St John the Baptist’s church. Absolutely no complaints from me!

Absolutely dreadful coffee purchased today at approximately 16.30 very bitter I actually felt sick after drinking it.

We were served by Ash who was efficient, polite, friendly and more than helpful. The coffee was lovely too. We will definitely go again

Absolutely awful experience. Staff didn’t have a clue what they were doing. Took waaaaaaay too long for 2 coffees. Then tried giving it to us in take out cups when we were eating in. Never again

I love coming here, the staff are always friendly and lovely. A special shout out to Hash, who is always so kind and always has a smile on his face. He has created a wonderful place for humans and dogs alike. Deffo recommend!

Ordered a delivery. Coffee and salad. The salad nothing like the advertisement but to be fair did contain all the right ingredients. My GRANDE latte however... the cup was barely half full. Nothing had spilt. Just the amount poured at the cafe. Also should mention that the GRANDE cup itself looked no different to a medium cup. Certainly not large enough to call GRANDE...AND HALF FULL. I've tried to call the cafe for over an hour to explain my dissatisfaction with no answer. This is not the first time I've been dissatisfied from here. All in all poor quality of products and poor service to help make up for said products.

This is a BUSY cafe Nero. But the team of 3 who were there at my visit today did so well. They didn't stop serving for the while time I was in there (45 mins) and the queue never got shorter. The three of them remained calm, polite and accurate the while time and the two serving made everyone feel as though they were their sole focus. They were exceptional in spite of the frustration they must have been feeling at being so busy and short handed. Well done to each of you and thank you.

So the place isn't perfect, as many others have pointed out but I definitely think there's been signs of improvement recently. Some new faces on the team have definitely helped. Shout out to Dave who is always incredibly professional and courteous. Also to Ash who seems to take any challenge in his stride and always appears calm under pressure. It can be a busy little place and it often feels like they are a person short which I think links to some of the other comments on here.

Very busy so service was slow but coffee great

The older barista had an attitude to all customers she was servicing, as well as an attitude towards the two trainees she was on shift with. Customer service on her part was pour, as well as the drinks she had made. She served 3 different customers, who had ordered a variety of different milks, whilst I was in the queue and not once did she wipe the steam wand down, really bad for bacteria and allergies. Coffee really bitter and drink not made right. Service was incredibly slow. Gone downhill a lot compared to a few years ago.

Barista had a very surly attitude when serving, not a nice experience for a customer, and definitely not a good example for the trainee Baristas working with her. What has happened to the standard of customer service in Nero's it used to be so very good, wont be using this coffee shop again!

There was a bit of a queue when we got here but it of the three members of staff behind the counter, only one was putting much effort into serving us. The other two were having a laugh and a joke with no thought to the people waiting. It's a shame because the atmosphere is very nice here and the coffee is good.

Google tells me it closes at 6pm. I arrive just after 5pm and I'm told its closed.

We come here a lot. Not for the coffee or the experience, but to sit outside, relax and people/dog watch. Can’t really work out why we keep coming back because the place is nothing short of a dirty hovel. Don’t even go in the toilet because it’s always filthy. The entire cafe is also filthy. We are there now and I took the time to have a good look at the floor etc and it is a total and utter health hazard! We need our bumps felt really! Staff are always rushed off their feet and come across as rather rude. Customer service is non existent.

The ladies that served us was shoving chocolate cake in her mouth whilst making drinks. Then licking her finger. The cafe was grubby with lots of litter on the floor. Staff were rude.

Not a nice experience to be honest. Whilst waiting noticed cobweb hanging from lampshades, layer of dust on counter top, food debris where the cakes were which looked like it had been there a while. We asked for lattes they were disgusting, more like a flat white white. Used the toilet facilities again standards disgusting. I wouldn't recommend to anyone coming here.

Not a pleasant experience today. Cleanliness in shop front It was not a acceptable standard ie dust, cobwebs, food debris in display cabinet. The cobweb web had seemingly taken up residence!. I have been working in catering for 14 years and ran a baguette bar. You should be able to maintain cleanliness. To finish my review the toilet facilities were also dirty and lacking in evidence of being cleaned.

Abysmal service, filthy cafe, rude staff, just dreadful. Avoid. Gone so far downhill. Lynwood is next door and I’d highly recommend it. Came in here with a gift card from the company after complaining about my last visit and the service was horrific again.

Unfortunately you have to give a star to right a review, if it was possible I’d give 0. Our last experience was a horror show, we were lied to about an item containing an allergy risk and simply dismissed by the manager. We thought we’d give it a second shot after being apologised to from head office. Terrible mistake. We walked in to have our food taken off us and “heated up” with no mention or acknowledgment and then waited a good few minutes before being asked what drinks we want. The place is absolutely filthy. Dust all over the tills and counters, the ventilation is the fridge is THICK with grime, I had to root around for a water bottle not covered in dirt. The cake display is absolutely filthy, coffee machine hasn’t been near a clean cloth for a long time and there are coffee stains up the wall? Rude staff, dirty location and below par coffee. Save your money, visit the Independent shop next door.

Service and coffee from the staff can be ok, but it depends on who serves you. For some reason, there has been a massive turnover in staff over the past year or so, so It’s very hit or miss. Only one or two staff members now seem capable of making a good coffee, which is a real shame. You can also tell some of the staff members are thoroughly fed up and downbeat from being clearly overworked! I used to enjoy coming here many years ago, and kept up the regularity for a while out of loyalty, but unfortunately this won’t be continuing in future and I’ll be taking my custom elsewhere.

Coffee is fine, however my partner and I popped in for a coffee and ended up following in a man (with a lead in his hand) with his large dog (not attached to the lead) who appeared to be a regular. Staff began greeting and stroking the dog and allowed it to roam freely behind the coffee bar with its tail and body touching tongs used for the sandwiches and other food handling equipment with the blonde girl serving us seemingly unbothered that these food safety violations were occurring. It was then eventually stopped by a more senior looking chap who waved it back the correct side of the counter whilst the owner did fairly little to retrieve his dog. Disappointing as I have had good experiences there in the past and love seeing dogs around the correct side of the counter, however this experience isn’t particularly acceptable from a food safety standpoint hence I’m writing this review.

It's an AWFUL experience eating here. The place is FILTHY even the flies don't even want to hang about. The standards of staff seem to of plummeted, since when can you serve food with your hair down? Excuse me I do not want to eat your hair? Especially the blonde hair of the rudest staff member I have ever had the opportunity of meeting. I wouldn't touch this place with a barge pole, Needs some bleach and some better attitude.

I went in a few weeks ago, the place has an awful atmosphere, coffee is not the best either; half my latte was foam, which isn’t value for money. The place itself is really not very clean, could definitely do with some deep cleaning. The toilet made me dry heave, there was what I think was human fecal matter on the floor and the chain was broken, I did inform a member of staff on this. All in all, will not be returning, disappointed in my visit.

Great coffee, but there was a male, thin member of staff with long black hair who kept hovering around me, and winked at me in front of my husband and family. Made me feel very uncomfortable, don't think I'll be going back.

Dirty. Paid a visit today to have a cup of my favourite coffee. Needed to use the toilet first. I could not believe what I saw! Decided not to buy coffee. Entrance door dirty with scuff marks everywhere. Tea/coffee splashes in porch. Floor dirty needing a sanding and/or deep clean. Toilets filthy.

Best coffee in Cirencester. Now a Decaff Flat White is quite easy to get wrong, but Cafe Nero consistently do produce a really good cup. They also have great Croissants and Cinammon buns and tasty toasties. It is a cafe and has something of the air of a Paris left bank cafe.Its very busy and sometimes the staff are a bit overrun, but the staff are always friendly and the coffee is great

Always looked after in this shop. I get the coffee I want or there’s hell to pay! Yes I’m fussy and the staff are knowledgeable about their products enough so that I get what I want. I bring and meet friends here and enjoy the best coffee in town. After difficult staffing issues things are on the up. Nero…… a shop refit would be nice, such a well used coffee shop.

My food and drink were nice however the customer service was very disappointing. The lady serving us was very abrupt and didn’t wait for me to finish my order. Then when I was not asked if I was eating in resulting in my food being given to me in a box instead of a plate. All this bearing in mind it was not busy and there was no one in the queue.

i love NERO's, this place is as nice as to be expected. However they need more staff or staff that take have pride in their jobs. sometimes and just sometimes its a bit like a cattle market in their with no farmer.

I am regular customer of Caffè Nero when visiting UK and especially Budford branch at the Cotswolds but sadly to know that it was permanently closed. Eventually all Caffè Nero branches have the best coffee, sandwiches and cakes even the one at Heathrow Airport. If you are coffee lover, this brand should be your no 1 choice whenever seeing the sign/logo; just go and enjoy the taste and also dealing with the friendly staff. Sharing photos from outside the Budford closed branch when we really enjoyed seating outside the cafe watching the surroundings and local shops while drinking coffee. The Cotswolds area is full of beautiful places which I am going to share in another review and people always welcoming and kind.

Staff are lovely, helpful and polite. A new manager has taken over recently and there have been plenty of improvements already. It's certainly cleaner than it was previously.

I did review this establishment a couple of years ago and have visited again more recently. The service has improved a lot. Very friendly staff who now appear to know how to make the Nero coffee I love again. Please don't go downhill again. I'd recommend this outlet as a good place for take out coffee. Note this café is quite popular and in a very busy area of Cirencester, very near the St John Baptist Church so it can get very busy at times.

Friendly spot with a very helpful trainee “barista”. Despite having lots to do sorted out my request for iced drinks made with oat milk . Going above and beyond for customers will always make places like this a good spot. It’s also nice to see lots of well behaved dogs in here.

Went to Caffe Nero today for coffee and lunch, walking in I noticed how dirty the tables and floors were ground in dirt on floors and table's we decided to have a take away coffee and no food and decided to sit outside which was cleaner than inside. Also the one toilet they have is absolutely disgusting the washhand basin and hand dryer was ground in dirt in my opinion this place has not had a good clean in a long time. Requires a deep clean in all areas before I return.

Located in the centre of Cirencester this venue is ideal for a snack and a drink. The snacks and drinks we had were good as was the service. Worth a visit

We popped into Caffè Nero in Cirencester for a late morning coffee and bite to eat - but then we saw how filthy the place was - the entrance, the uncleared tables, the whole look and feel of the place… and then we thought: if this is what we can see, how much worse will the kitchen be? And we got scared how our coffee and food would turn out in such a filthy place; and then we did a swift about turn, and walked straight out without buying anything. Some years ago I used to enjoy going to the Caffè Nero in Weybridge every Saturday morning to read the paper over a morning coffee…. It was great back then, but standards have fallen to the very bottom.

Totally disappointed with my visit to my favourite coffee shop today in Cirencester. Had to have paper cups and food in paper bag even though eating in. Evidently short of staff but I saw at least 4 staff, also more considering was how untidy the place was. I walked past many local coffee shops to attend my favourite but now having to have to rethink my priorities.

Always delivering the best coffee! Was fast and served with a smile. The big seats at the front of the cafe are a perfect place to just sit and watch as the world goes by. Only issue I noticed was there is a big step at the entrance. Not wheelchair accessible unless they have a ramp available.
