This is a cosy countryside hotel. Their breakfast is sumptuous and we regret not having our dinner there as well. Service is excellent in particular their superb manager/ (boss?) who I saw everywhere from morning till night. Let me say sorry to him for having tricked him twice unintentionally even after we checked out!

The pub is beautiful, looks great , comfort with friendly welcoming bar staff Unlike the restaurant staff and food which was so Disappointing we complained, The beef and ale pie my husband was so looking forward was so disappointing it was so dry that he asked for gravy which didn’t arrive so had to ask the bar staff for this ,the portion size was poor also., Eventually the staff / manager dealt with our complaint , but he had to keep going back and forward to another manager who we never saw about our concerns. Such a shame and disappointment due to a special anniversary celebration

We choose the Resdesdale Arms as we were meeting friends in the area. It is in a great location, front door exits onto the market place. Parking at the back was secure. Original greeting on arrival wasn't the friendliest, but as we were early we were allowed to leave our car in the car park while we explored Morton in Marsh. When we returned the greeting by Adam was friendly and efficient. He showed us to room 3, which overlooks the High Street. The room was a little tired, but clean and comfortable. The hospitality tray was one if the best we have seen. Sparkling and still bottled water, decanter of sherry, coffee machine with pods, cafetiere with filter coffee, instant coffee and plenty of tea bags, sugar, milk (semi skimmed and oat). Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. I had lamb shank which just fell off the bone. My husband really enjoyed his chicken ballotine. Service was excellent. Breakfast the following morning was disappointing. Reasonable selection on the buffet and menu. Unfortunately we had the full English with poached eggs. Apart from the beans, everything was cold and the eggs were completely hard, rubbery with a taste of vinegar. The coffee however was excellent. We did provide feedback to a member of the serving staff, and when we checked out.

Wonderful service from the main host at the restaurant and all the young people serving us. Forgot I had a booking and revived a phone call to check we were still coming. Delicious food, I had the pork belly and hubby had the shanks. Best service we’ve had here in the UK (we are visiting from NZ). Lovely stay at the hotel also. Thank you!

Went into Redesdale arms for something to eat and drink on Friday 11th October. The bar manager I think who is called Jojo is the most unwelcoming, unpleasant person I have come across in Morton. She has no interpersonal skills. She has an unhappy demeanour and is inappropriately employed in the hospitality industry. A great shame this lovely hotel employs this person because the lunch we had was good and the environment is very typical of an old building in the Cotswods.

We booked a late break here and stayed 3 nights. We were welcomed by Adam who was great. Took us to the room, explained details etc. Parking was good and secure, even has electric points. Breakfast was a good selection and high quality. We also ate in the bar one evening where it was popular and with good reason as excellent food. I had fish and chips which was lovely and my husband had the pie, also very good. The room was good, clean and recently refurbed including little seating area. Would go again and recommend!

Lovely location with on site parking, which is always good in a busy little town like this. We booked 2 rooms - a family room and a double room (room 4). The family room, in the courtyard, was excellent, well-equipped, spacious and a lovely bathroom. Unfortunately, our room, in the original building, was a disappointment. Even taking into account the age of the building and its listed status the room was “tired”. The weather was hot so, unfortunately, was our room. An air-con unit was available for us but we couldn’t use it while sleeping because it was too noisy. So our nights were disturbed as the heat was stifling. The bathroom wasn’t functional. My husband is over 6 feet tall and his head was well above the shower head. The position of the toilet made stepping up into the shower very difficult. This wasn’t helped by a loose toilet seat, the short flush not working and the tap on the sink being loose. Having said all that the staff were lovely and very helpful, especially Adam, the duty manager. They were all so kind to our grandsons. The food for breakfast and the meal we had in the evening was very good. Overall, we paid a lot for a poor room. If that hadn’t been the case I could have, happily, given Redesdale Arms 5/5.

I have visited the Redesdale a few times now and always have a brilliant meal. Service is always fast and staff are accommodating. The last few times i have come with my family we have had Grace as our waitress, she always takes care of us when we come and is very accommodating. The main thing i like about the Redesdale is the quality of the food the meats are always the best quality and cooked to the highest standard. I would definitely recommend the Redesdale to anyone in the area or visiting as the staff and food are both excellent.

Had dinner and breakfast there. Staff are lovely and really make every effort to get the customers’ needs met. Food was good. The citrus cheesecake seems to be made with something like sherbet in it which properly stings the tongue. Other choices were safer with Cod and chips (oddly served without the advertised peas), and a marvellous beef dinner with Yorkshire pudding were more mainstream. Marstons Pedigree or reasonably priced wines both available.

Stayed for 2 night's at the beginning and end of a 5 day hike. Rooms were good. That's about it. We paid to store a suitcase for 4 nights. It found it's way to another hotel in a different town. We were lucky a traveler noticed and contacted us, as the hotel had no idea. And of course no one gave us a refund of the storage fee or even an apology. Dinner on the first eve was the worst service we have ever experienced. Other than getting the food of a different table, whatever we asked for either never came or came at a ridiculous delay - water, wine, lemon, and more. The food was just ok. We were offered compensation but then none came! Breakfast was OK. Location is good.

We had been out driving in the area visiting various places when we needed to stop.for some dinner. Saw this place as we turned a corner and pulled in. Lovely pub in a good location. Parking outside the door. She had the Battered cod which she says was delicious and the portion was so generous she couldn't finish it all. I had their Burger which didn't look like much but when you cut into it (too tall to pick up by hand and eat) the burger was thick and juicy. I struggled to eat everything myself. We stayed for rwo nights and ate in the hotel restaurant on the first night. On the second night we had booked to eat out. We went out and the rain was heavy so we came back in and asked the manager could we use a hotel umbrella and he said the four umbrella's were not the hotels own but belonged to guests. We went back out and got wet. In the morning when checking out we saw the same four umbrella's and asked the lady who checked us out were they guest umbrellas and she said no they were the hotels for use by the guest. We can't believe how petty the manager was (Could it be because we were not eating in the restaurant that night?). We shall not use this hotel again due to this manager.

This was our favourite pub in Moreton In Marsh so we know it well. It's very dog friendly (a must for us and our Goldie) and the staff are always friendly. Called in yesterday for a late lunch. The salmon and the burger were very nice (not the cheapest but well worth the money). There is a sign on the door asking customers to note their table number and order at the bar. The menu states a 10% non discretionary service charge will be added. Hmm. Not sure how I feel those two things match up. The waitress brought our food, looked at the table and could see we had no cutlery then just wandered off. We had to call someone else over to get some. She was also very miserable and did not bother asking if we needed anything else. I paid in advance (a lesson learned) so it was a bit of a faff asking for the service charge to be reimbursed (which I assumed was but the money has not appeared in my bank account). I was offered a free drink (which was appreciated) along with an apology however we had to leave to return home so declined. It's a real shame as I don’t think we will return any time soon.

My wife and I had a horrible experience at our lunch outing. First we ordered and then waited for over 45 minutes before I asked the waiter if our order was coming. I was then informed that our order had not been placed or was lost. We were given a free beverage and I stated that we would wait for our order to be replaced. After another half hour and three tables being served that arrived after us being seated and the recognized mistake being made we finally gave up on getting our meal. this was a very bad experience for me and my wife on the first day of the year. We came from the States to experience the holidays in the Cotswolds and were very disappointed in this establishment. I would never recommend this restaurant to any of my friends back home in the States especially since I can recommend many other special restaurants that care about their clients. We went in for lunch and ordered 2 drinks whilst we were perusing the menu. We were shocked to be charged just under £20 for 2 drinks Apparently a 20cl bottle of less than average prosecco was £12.95. To make matters worse, staff were at best off-hand. We were told 'this is a hotel', and 'we don't set the prices '. The approach they chose to take was most unfortunate. At best this a pub with rooms. It is not terribly clean, a door marked staff only was black were it is pushed open and just not cleaned. There was debris on the floor from where it hadn't been swept. The pumps were only superficially cleaned. Not recommended, overcharged on drinks and unpleasant staff, avoid and go elsewhere.

Had a wonderful Sunday roast lunch on a rainy afternoon in this cosy hotel. The Yorkshire pudding was one of the lightest I’ve had and the meal was good, but slightly let down by the slow and less than attentive service. Would still recommend it...

Outstanding quality of food. Superb meats and a varied selection of beautifully cooked vegetables. Well presented too! Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the friendly staff were the icing on the cake.

We had dinner at Redesdale Arms on the last night of our 7 day Cotswolds walking tour. We were staying across the street at the White Hart Royal (which also serves excellent food), but we ate here because it had duck confit on the menu,...

Dog friendly and such high standard food that I wasn’t expecting. A lot of the prices in this town were in the higher bracket so it wasn’t unusually priced, still on the higher side but it was definitely worth it.

The pub/hotel is on the High Street, a few minutes walk to all the shops, restaurants and other pubs in Moreton-in-Marsh. We had a four-poster double room (no.3) on the first floor. Although quite compact, it had almost everything needed for our one-night stay. The bed was very comfortable, and a fan and oil heater were provided. The double-glazing was very efficient so the room was quiet even though it overlooked a busy road. The shower room was huge, with a powerful shower, lots of hot water, fluffy towels and a bathrobe. There was a kettle with tea etc and biscuits, but we couldn't work out how to use the Nespresso machine. There were enough sockets for our chargers. The breakfast choice was extensive and the food really excellent (best cheese omelette I have had in years; my husband's full veggie breakfast was also good). There is a small car park, although there is free parking on the high street anyway. The pub/hotel garden looked pretty, but it was raining, so we didn't try it.

On a very wet day walking from the Corinium Museum the warmth and busyness of Keith's was attracting quite a few people. Quick and efficient service of coffee and cake/scone, and a lot more tables available than you can see from the street. Very wide selection of speciality teas and coffees on offer, together with attractive containers.

I had a HOT chocolate but it was a COLD chocolate instead. The worker was rude and I had to pay £1.20 extra for marshmallows and cream. This is ABOMINABLE!

Very nice welcome and decent burger and chips on a quiet wed evening. Plenty of parking. Cosy fire. Recommended - go along and support your local pub!
