Somewhere Else in Cotswold

Ordered from this restaurant on Uber eats and the food that arrived was laughable, their hot dogs are the same size as a thumb, the chicken burger looked like a chicken nugget and there were roughly around 20 chips in each box. Don’t be deceived by their websites photos as they are far from the truth.

To be honest I'm a bit disappointed to write this. Atmosphere was good and food was cooked well. Here's my issue. I ordered 2 flatbread meals however what we received was tortilla wraps. What?? Flatbread are completely different to tortilla wraps. It's misleading and would have made a difference to what we ordered had we of known. To the owner. Google flatbread. It's bread not tortilla wraps.

had the chicken burger and it tasted like gone off oil. it was also burnt to a crisp. barely edible, disgusting. the southern fried chicken was average at best, flavourless.

Having been coming here for the last 6 weeks and having had brilliant nachos to begin with to then be told the chef wasn’t in , and then to be promised this week that they would be on ,NO it did not happen. False promises from the manageress’again’ poor

Booked a table to watch the euros final in advance and then when we got there we were told it was full. What’s the point in booking a table? Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a place to watch sports

Amazing sports bar for the footy! All staff are so efficient and quick service which is all you want during the football or rugby. Amelia is amazing and always ensures people are looked after! Me and my friends say this is the go to place in Cirencester for all things sport.

Wonderful food, staff, and atmosphere. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Can get quite crowded during popular sports, so I'd recommend showing up a little early.

Friend had a baby with her and was asked to leave "before she started crying". Poor customer service. Nah thanks.

Hands down the best pint of Guinness you can get in Cirencester. Service is always attentive and great atmosphere throughout.

Such a cool restaurant. They change the menu all the time so we went when they had sushi. The night we went their liquor license had expired so we were able to bring our own drinks which was also great! But normally they have a full bar. They also have games to play and this created a great atmosphere as people wanted to get involved with the game we were playing! Will definitely be back to try a new menu but the sushi was amazing!

Has tv for sports, nicely decorated, just had drinks which when on a budget found expensive.

Food was raw and staff were unapologetic. When we complained about the chicken being raw they were reluctant to refund.

Tried everything on the menu. Burgers meat was rubbery. Chicken burger was over crispy and very salty and not much chicken. Wings were deep-fried and over crispy. Nothing is prepared home style and all tastes like its out of a freezer pack.

Awful customer service. I came in with a group of 6 and spend over £100 on drinks. The cocktails took 45 minutes to make one and it wasn’t even that busy. I went to use the bathroom at 10:40 and got stopped. He let someone else go then I asked why and got chucked out considering we still had a table of drinks left. The owner was too busy worrying about people using the bathroom for real reasons considering my partner went to the ladies bathroom and found a girl doing drugs. My partner then questioned the owner and he just shrugged it off.

Came for drinks, lovely cocktails! a bit on the higher price range but well made and tasty. Staff were a bit hostile, customer service wasn’t a 10/10. Great for a chilled evening for sports fans. Didn’t eat so couldn’t comment.

The bar itself is lovely and great place to go for a drink however the food was awful. It was so expensive for what it was … I got a vegan burger and it was so flat and small like you would get from your friends bbq or could make yourself at home for your child. I’m not usually fussy at all and finish everything but I couldn’t eat it. The bottom bun was hard and not worth it. I did mention to the waiter but no offer to even remove from the bill. £40 for smallest position of fries, a plain dry vegan burger, a regular burger which was ok and cauliflower wings which were probably the only nice thing about the meal. Sorry to leave this poor review but I was shocked. I would come back just for a drink though.

It's a very friendly pub, serving drinks! We didn't have food so cannot comment! Always busy, quite noisy good atmosphere! We went in a couple of times during our stay, and the 2nd time we went in the server recognised us and even remembered what it was we were drinking! I was impressed 👌

Awesome spot for a drop. Limited choice on craft beer. Great service but a little overpriced for the size of the dishes.

Staff really lovely and cocktails good. The place unfortunately lacked atmosphere with Spotify playing adverts every few minutes. The Nepalese food on offer is also rather disappointing- the noodles were no doubt spaghetti and lacked flavour. Burgers were cold and the water tasted rather questionable. Such a shame as this place used to be amazing!

Actually attracted in advance by the Pop-Up, I plumped in the end for a burger, and this was one (or 4!) of the very best. The double Crunchy Mooba in brioche with cheese, caramelised onions and jalapenos was very tasty, accompanied by the spicy Buffalo Fries. Excellent food, while waited on by the wonderfully welcoming Chelsea. Rahim was friendly too. Working in Cirencester the next day, and already very happy to return. VERY reasonable prices. p.s. don't usually like burgers.

miso mizo = grey and tasteless food. Shame munch and Asha have left as they were fantastic. We have had Mooba in another pub in Ciren and they are great. Avoid miso beige Mizo!

We have been avid followers of SE, loved the Asha menu which was just amazing. Thought we’d try the new Miso Mixo kitchen in house and well, what a disappointment. Starters over-fried and inedible- considering I love food and am in no way fussy. Chicken wontons they’d run out of, so we had to have the veg ones- considering the menu is very limited anyway. Salt and pepper squid- absolutely the worst ever. Bang Bang cauliflower- hideous grey colour and overcooked. Mains, 2x Pad Thai- chicken over fried, prawns slightly undercooked. Ramen- chicken not quality, lots of extra bits you don’t want to eat. Saving grace- the wonderful serving staff! But we won’t be back ever, which is such a shame as this was our number 1 place to go for food in Cirencester!

My husband and I visited somewhere else today on a birthday trip to Cirencester and absolutely loved it! The cocktails were amazing especially the Miami vice, the sushi was so so yummy but mostly the girls working were so polite and lovely to chat with! Definitely recommend this place! 10/10 xxx

Visited here on a Friday evening and we're a little disappointed with the food and service. We sat upstairs and ordered paneer flatbread and nann burger with chips. The meal took so long to arrive and when it came was luke warm apart from the chips which were lovely and hot. So disappointing after such a long wait. The cocktail Miami Vice was more ice than anything and was taken away before it was finished. Service needs improvement. Overall disappointing visit.

We love coming here. The service is excellent and always welcoming to us and our dog George. The food is really delicious and good value and there's a good selection of drinks. Lovely atmosphere in the place too.

We found this place on our way home from the Lakes and not only is it well priced but the food itself was beautiful! We are vegetarians and the paneer curry was to die for! Wish we lived closer but we will 100% be coming back!

Took my team out to Christmas lunch today and chose Somewhere Else as it is miles ahead of any other venue in Cirencester for food, quality, value for money and service. Once again we were not disappointed.

It was a random choice on the hoof but very pleasantly surprised! Very attentive staff, amazing food, nice interior! Keep up the good work.

This is probably the fourth time that I've visited Somewhere Else and I still haven't been dissapointed with the quality of food and the friendliness of the staff there.

We went here as the menu looked different from anywhere else. We weren't disappointed. Everything we had was lovely, flat bread, taco, cheesy chips and Bombay potatoes. As for the Indian donuts, well what a dessert! The staff were friendly and the food was served quickly. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely amazing from walking in the door to leaving ! We had a private baby shower upstart for 33 ladies.The room was lovely, staff so attentive and polite.Nothing was to much trouble the staff. We had the hot buffet and was out of this world . The flavours , presentation and quantity so good . Will definitely be going back !!!!

I visited here with my family during October half term and the food was amazing and staff were extremely friendly. The menu provides lots of choice and all that we tried was delicious. The place is dog friendly with them even providing water bowls and treats.

Somewhere Else offers something different for lunch. Four of us ate a lunch of flatbread Lamb burgers, open flatbread coal Salmon and open flatbread Zeera chicken. Absolutely delicious and so refreshing to have a choice of interesting food a world away from the usual bistro fare. Excellent service and warm welcome from the ladies looking after us too. Definitely recommended.

My partner and I went this evening and had food from the Indian Street Food menu. This was without doubt one of the best meals we've both ever eaten! Being on the second week of our honeymoon, we've been to a lot of restaurants recently and this was head and shoulders above so many of them... We love Dishoom in London and have been many times, this place is beyond that. It should be on a food map of the UK. People should come to Cirencester just to have a meal here. Beyond the food, the service was impeccable, both servers friendly, welcoming and swift, made some craking cocktails too! The highlight of the menu for us was the Torpedo Prawns, definitely get them if you're coming here. Absolutely stellar, loved every second, thank you to everyone there.

Certainly a place that is ‘something else’ . A great choice of food on the menu that is very different. There is a basic theme of street food but a very good range of dishes both in terms of base cuisine and portion sizes. Two of us shared three of the smaller plates ; spicy humus , chicken stack and mango/Brie filo parcels. Plenty of food for a lunch time , in fact surprising large portions! Very reasonable prices too. A good range of drinks on offer from draft beers , bottled drinks , to cocktails. Service was excellent from the initial walking through the door to the paying of the bill. Will return next time we are in Cirencester.

Arranged to meet some friends in Cirencester. They suggested Somewhere Else for lunch. A good choice. Really friendly place. Food was delicious. All variations on street food. Can recommend the lamb on flatbread with a side of curry chips! Service felt just right for a lazy day. Though waitress apologised that it had been slow. Really liked it

Kitchen was busy so food took an hour to come out which wouldve been acceptable had the waiting staff communicated better. Had to ask 4 times before anyone bothered to let us know when the food would be ready. As we sat frustrated the waitress and bar staff were standing around drinking and having a laugh smacking each others arses, then plonked 4 plates on the table in front of a 9 year old...4 plates considering there were 7 of us. The service with the exception of Gabby, who.was the only one actually working and trying to take care of the customers. The rest of the staff were plain rude.and nonchalant!!! Concept is good, venue has potential but Gabby and the owner are being seriously being let down by front of house staff! Real shame. but well done to Gabby for the way she dealt with the embarrassing situation.

I don’t even want to give one star. We waited for more than an hour and never got our food. We asked three times how long it would take and the first time they told us five minutes, the second time they told us ten miutes and finally we left. We paid for one beer: 10 pounds!

SUCH friendly staff, so welcoming and genuine, good fun too! The food was amazing, came out so quickly and was nice and hot. The chicken burger was possibly the best fried chicken I’ve had, and the beef burger patty’s were perfectly pink on the inside and crispy on the outside. 10/10 would recommend. Will be back again!

A bar with a compact menu of beef and chicken burgers. The smashed beef burgers were really tasty. Perfect size, great flavours and excellent chips on the side. The chicken burgers looked as good as the beef ones, you can't really go wrong with all the interesting options on the compact menu, it's all good. The beers on draft were fresh, tasty and had some interesting options. The music in the background was excellent, the service is friendly and energetic and there are also deck chairs outside. It's a great place for a tasty burger and a lovely cold beer.

Dropped by for an early working lunch cool with rhe aircon. Good food. Giant portions. May share next time. Friendly service.

We stopped off for a late Friday afternoon meal. Plenty of tables free, but we were told that they were all reserved. Ended up sitting outside. Food was very nice, chicken wings are amazing, chips were good… waitress was helpful and friendly.

Prompt service but staff seemed tired. Not a fan of their NZ Pale Ale on draft but maybe this option is just temporary. Food looked nice but didn't have any myself. Would like to come back and try the food. For me they need better beer selection for me to go there regularly.

Amazing staff, everyone was super friendly. Great food options burgers (beef, chicken, veggie) and wings on one side and Indian on the other side of the menu. We ordered burgers and drinks. Looks like a great spot for a afternoon coffee, right on the corner. The chicken was a little undercooked but we haven’t gotten sick yet..

Visited for evening drinks. Fabulous cocktails and super friendly owner. Sat outside and watched the world go by. Really quirky use of outdoor space! Would thoroughly recommend and will be returning without a doubt when next in town!

The atmosphere and waitresses were great. The burgers and chips tasted great, along with the drinks. However, we ordered some wings which were raw and resulted in food poisoning! Rare steak is fine, but chicken, not so much.

The menu (by Asha) has an Indian vibe but is hugely varied, with incredible salads, burgers, grilled salmon, as well as your traditional curry favourites like korma, dansak (amazing!) rogan and even a vindaloo. The Asha menu is not served every day but is well worth it! The environment is classy, quirky and comfy, with 70s pop tunes at a tasteful volume. A good selection of drinks and friendly, prompt service and very reasonable prices round out a wonderful experience. My new favourite restaurant.

We went here yesterday, a chance find after a Google search ,and we were so happy with everything about this beautiful little restaurant. ASHA's food was fingerlicking delicious,the service was top class Lucy was very sweet and helpful. Highly recommend if you looking for something special 👍

Popped in for Cocktails and small plates. Very nice. I would say they need more variety of Cocktails limted. Have you heard of Tequila? I would suggest doubling the Cocktail menu.

Went for lunch with a friend, we both really enjoyed it. A good selection of food, I had a lamb salad bowl, my friend a chicken salad bowl & they were very colourful & very tasty. The staff were friendly & helpful.

Didn't have what I wanted as I'm vegetarian the menu on the website is totally different to what we looked at. Not happy with it but I had the no beef burger with nothing else and that was £9.95 that's awful.

Popped into Something Else for the first time on Friday evening with 2 friends bought 3 pints of larger sat at a table then got told couldn’t sit at the table as it was reserved we then went to another table and got told that was reserved to then got told to go we were not drunk or loud .. Never Ever felt more unwelcome than I did at this place we won’t be going to something else ever again certainly lives up to its name I since been told if your face doesn’t fit you won’t be welcome !!! Try all the other pubs in cirencester before this place !!! Yes I am upset you would be to if you had this experience !!!
