We came for Sunday carvery when we visited Dawlish. The food was good, although the beef was a bit chewy. The Yorkshire puddings were huge. Service was quick and friendly and the Covid-19 set up was good. We would return if we came back to the area.

AVOID AT ALL COST - if you want food After booking a table for 4 on Monday 22nd Aug for brunch we arrived to be told sorry, the waitress had sent back the wrong card machine and they were closed. We rebooked for Tuesday 23rd Aug arrived again after parking in town for 2 days, to be told, sorry we have no water today. We have closed the kitchen. You can imagine my disappointment 2 days on the trott, what a way to run a business. The manager was basically saying tough there is nothing I can do about it. Terrible attitude rude and no help what so ever. Good luck if you go for food.

Great Fish and chips . Don’t take cash .It is legal tender in UK ,why not? Lunch atmosphere ruined by screeching loud vocalist. Could not hold conversation with friend . Would have thought in such a place as Poundbury grand piano and smooth music would be more appropriate or something similar . Couple on next table were like minded .They could not speak either

Walked from Mudeford quay to here (which isn’t easy for my wife) after checking their website. Arrived at 3pm to have a cuppa & cake only to find they’d decided to close early, despite the website and bill-boards saying open till 4pm. Asked in the reception and they weren’t in the slightest bit interested. Won’t waste our time again.

After a long coastal walk from Mousehole, the cakes and ice cream were much needed. Friendly staff and lovely selection of cakes, they had a vegan option as well which was a nice welcome too. The ice creams were huge. A lovely little cafe in a really lovely location.

Recently visited Moon Under Water, Cheltenham, and despite it being extremely busy with some rude customers, the service was fantastic. Huge praise to Matt, Jamie, and Maz, who handled the chaos with professionalism, patience, and positivity. Drinks and food arrived promptly, and the team worked hard to keep everyone happy although busy. Their exceptional attitude made the experience enjoyable despite the challenges. Great atmosphere, amazing staff—I’ll definitely be back. Thanks for the brilliant service!

I meet up with a group of friends in this bar and we always feel welcome whilst having drinks and sometimes food. What is SO GOOD about visiting the Goddard's Arms is the friendliness of all the staff that serve behind the bar. They always greet us as soon as we come in and, if they don't see us at the beginning, they add a hello when they pass. Jack and Ben, Will and Darren and not forgetting Susie and Hannah are exceptional and they always make us feel relaxed enough to stay for the whole afternoon! We never feel we have to vacate our table and relax into the atmosphere created. Well done to the staff and keep the good work up.

Would just like to let people know how lovely our visit was her last week. We arrived just as breakfast was finishing but were still offered the service. The lady serving was incredibly friendly nothing was too much trouble. Excellent value for money and wide variety of choice.

Took our visitors here....we had been many times before but not for a while. Price was reasonable and service great. When the main course arrived, it looked plentiful, but I found the roasts a bit hard to cut into and some veg a tad under-cooked. Puds were yummy.

AWFUL SERVICE!!!! Rude and disrespectful. We will not be returning to farrington. We haven’t been for very long time because the service is always a bit off, but we thought we would be give a chance. But sure enough it let us down AGAIN!! We will go to other cafes that are welcoming, friendly and respectful. Which are not far away from farrington. Farrington appears to be friendly little family run business, but it is actually not that it’s a large group that clearly treat their staff badly and it shows.

Rubbish and expensive! Paid £4.50 for one tiny pot of ice-cream. Huge queues, really slow service. No vegan options - someone suggested we have the cheese and onion pasty. To summarise, really expensive, really slow and generally poor quality. Should be so much better.
