Food was hot but didn't like ordering buy mobile I prefer table service

Been here few times now when passing through having stayed here also couple times nearby...walked from camel trail to here recently and stopped for a bite and a lovely local ale...they do a great Sunday roast carvery and on Wednesday....we will be back guarantee.. 💓

Really cute place, even on a rainy day. Went for lunch with friends and we had a lovely time. Portion sizes are great and it's reasonably priced!

Good food. Reasonable priced. Nicely decorated inside. Clean toilets. Friendly staff.

We all had the 3 course dinner. The reception and the service throughout were excellent. All rated the whole evening a great success. All were able to make their own choices. We look forward to returning on another occasion.

OH WHAT A TRAGEDY! THIS WAS A FAVOURITE GO TO RESTAURANT AND WE HAD SPECIAL OCCASIONS HERE TOO. SUPERB FOOD, ATMOSPHERE AND SO ON, AM VERY SAD IT IS NO LONGER. CAN SOMEONE TAKE IT OVER PLEASE AND BRING IT BACK?

Cold fish .. and very overpriced .. £5 for 5 patron peppers..really !! .. then the grilled fish platter £80 for 2 served on a silver tray was warm when it arrived and cold very quickly and the prawns were missing .. calamari was like a salad . Our mistake was in eating it because we we hungry...they took £9 for the extras off the bill .. I guess this is what you get at a beach town restaurant where most of the clients are on holiday so they don't really care about them returning .. Pity really because the fish was good but cold ..

Very friendly welcome, thank you! Pleasant lunch for both of us. I couldn't eat all of mine (not your fault!). I apologised for this as we left to be told that they give big portions; they certainly do....

Stopped here on our way back to London back in June 2018 , not quite sure of what to expect, a very well thought, nice looking, quiet place. I am quite skeptic when it comes to food We have ordered and then they hit us... unbelievable how in such a small town you can find such amazing food. Also a big big thank you to Welsh Steve for the best surprise of our trip! Very kind! For some reason I found this review in my draft list, I hope it will still be accepted and posted.

Weekday evening here, a very welcoming bar area with open fire, staff very polite and efficient. Good choice of food with a set menu plus ‘a la cart’ as well. The food was really lovely, and reasonably priced, along with good choice of drinks from the bar.

The best Sunday roast I’ve had in a long while. From the minute we walked in, Ed’s service and attention to detail was impeccable. Honestly the loveliest staff, the most delicious food and a great atmosphere. We had the roast beef brisket, roast sirloin beef and The Cure (all 4 meats), plates were clean by the end of it. I don’t eat dairy and the kitchen was happy to cater for me, a lot of the roast staples are already vegan. Will 100% be coming back to try the evening menu. Amazing!

Friendly service and a fabulous breakfast.

Visited on a weekday lunchtime. Both the service and the food were excellent The restaurant itself is very tastefully decorated and there’s no annoying background music. Would definitely go there again.
