We called in and ordered various items including a hot pizza slice for my wife. My wife took one bite and it was cold, slightly tepid at best. I brought it straight to the counter and when I said it was cold, three members of staff at the exact same time said “we cannot guarantee it to be hot”. Wow, this is what it was advertised as, “hot”. I said I ordered a hot slice and am only looking for what I ordered and asked where the signs were to say the hot pizza may be cold!! They also said they could not reheat it (company policy) and there was nothing they could do. It became apparent to other customers what I was saying and only then was asked if I would like a fresh hot slice, and it would take 7 minutes. I agreed and a fresh slice came but we were all just about finished and my wife was only starting to eat which resulted in the pizza only being half eaten. This a shame the staff could not rectify the situation straight away and I would have been happy that they made an effort but instead came away with the thought of three members of staff giving out company policy bull before customer satisfaction.

staff are lovely but the prices are out of control, they should be wearing balaclavas in Greggs nowadays! good grief! i remember when it was good value, its turned into a corporate hungry beast profit at all costs!

Excellent Greggs. Always clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful and, most importantly, know how to serve food hygienically, ie not handle food with bare hands! Coffee is always good, served piping hot and breakfasts are great too.

Built into Travelodge building, it is fairly compact with around 5-6 tables to eat in. Typical Greggs range of baguettes, rolls, cakes, hot food, hot & cold drinks. Standard Greggs prices. Pleasant staff. Outside seating.

Went to this Greggs and bought a hot sausage bap for breakfast whilst staying at the Travelodge next door. Reasonable and I would use it again.

I stayed at Travellodge next door and popped in here for breakfast. The coffee is lovely , but I ordered pastie which was served cold. The cabinet isn't heated and they cannot heat up cold food. The only hope is that u arrive when the food comes out of the oven. They should have mentioned the food is cold, I threw it in the bin which was a waste.

We visited with family from France with dog who were looking forward to visiting for coffee and a light snack for lunch,we arrived on a dry bright Sunday lunch, although relatively busy, there were several tables empty, albeit full of dirty leftovers, when we pointed this out to the lovely girl behind d counter she promptly cleared table and wiped, from this point expectations fell away quickly, there was absolutely nothing to eat except carrot cake or muffins fresh or pre packed biscuits and flapjack ! We mentioned this to the counter staff who just said sorry were short staffed and low on food, there were 8 members of staff behind the counter ! Oh well, we ordered coffee which hit the spot first round fine, second round incorrect, then members of our party wished to visit the loo before leaving, a queue of several people waiting constantly to use 1 toilet that was disgustingly dirty from top to bottom ! All in all a poor experience of what some 18 months ago was a lovely place to visit, maybe it was just an Off day, but to have that many staff not doing a lot or cared a lot, not sure I would be in a hurry to revisit

With roads closed or completely impassable due to the severe rain from Storm Bert, we finally gave up trying to get home late on Sunday evening and parked up in the car park of the Bolingbroke. Too worried to go any further, we nervously knocked on the door, despite the pub being officially closed, and to our relief was invited in and offered a room for the night. Jo and Rob looked after us all evening, the room was clean and perfect for the emergency overnight stay and even made us breakfast before we set off in the morning. I can thank you both enough for your hospitality and kindness in what was, quite literally, an incredibly stressful occasion. Would recommend to anyone and even planning a return trip, under better conditions, to come back and say thank you once again. Wonderful. Ray and Marion

We booked a table for the opening party, the pub opened earlier in the week with new staff and owners.

The website states it’s open until 4pm, it doesn’t say the kitchen closed at 2:30pm. We were happy to have cold quiches but the waitress made us feel so unwelcome even though we spent £46. She then cleaned the table implying we should leave, so we did and we won’t be coming back!
