Visited the Costa in Calne this morning with a client to grab an iced Latte and Fude frappe. I believe the guy who served me was called Chris (tattoos on his arms) and thought that his service deserved recognition. He was very attentive and social with all the customers whilst doing everything solo, great service, friendly and made an effort that seemed unique to each customer, we had a discussion about tattoos. He is definitely an asset to your company and should be praised for what he does as it’s rare to fine good service these days. We enjoy our drinks as always but they taste so much better when your staff create a good atmosphere for everyone, keep it up!

Service with a smile from the lovely waitress Eva. It was a pleasure to be served by her and she is an asset to the cafe. Will definitely come back for tea and cake again.

I’ve visited a few times now, tried the hot milkshakes , the citrus zing tea and the after eight hot chocolate. Always had good service and a delicious drink.

Such a rip off, not sure how they stay in business charging over a fiver for basic toasties, spend best part of a tenner for food and a coffee that is worth half of what they want to charge, avoid use someone independent

service and food was good as you'd expect from a Costa. but the cafe itself was dark dingy and dirty. felt very claustrophobic needs redecoration and redesigning.

First visit. All seemed ok will probably visit again.

Too often recently Costa will not serve coffee in a glass.The excuse being they are busy.I refuse to drink out of a takeaway paper cup.besides being idle by the staff it is very evironment unfriendly.

If I could give no stars then I would.. this Costa has completely gone downhill!! Honestly I pay for a medium so I expect a medium not a medium cup with half missing!!

Me and 3 others came here as we do every now and again. We all got frosinos and I got a coke as well. We was served by a lady who had a trainee badge on. She was very polite and friendly. She made us some of the best drinks we have ever had and I finished my drink for the first time ever! This girl deserves a lot of praise for her efforts today. Thank you for putting such a high attention to detail while making out drinks. Hopefully you will be here next time we come.

Standard Costa Coffee shop. Was disappointed with my drink yesterday, I watched the girl make it and she was trying to pump every last bit of syrup out of a bottle that was clearly empty. Should have opened a new one. The fact she didn’t reflected on my drink, the taste wasn’t right and there was still some uncrushed ice cubes at the bottom. My drink of choice was the Belgium chocolate frostino.

Staff are kind and polite, the tables were cleaned after each person in line with Covid regs.

As I sit here in a different coffe shop in Chippenham, I can't help but wonder when it became OK for a coffee chain to demand that you register your details on the 'track and trace' app, then further demand proof that you did so? They could simply record your details if you choose not to use these applications (hence I drove over to Chippenham). This is becoming a bit of a talking point in the town and will continue to lose Costa many customer. I'll leave Costa with this thought. You've spent millions in advertising, but I'm just just one of many who will never drink at your establishment again.

Best coffee spot in Calne! Staff is very friendly and welcoming. They loved the cinnamon rolls I brought over during lockdown. Highly recommended. Gerard

Small but nice coffee shop ideally located in Calne open shopping mall. Has good selection of cakes and other quick foods.

They're open as a take-away only until 4pm. I asked why I can order a take away coffee in Starbucks Swindon until 9.30pm but they close at 4. They claim it's the law for take-aways to close at 4. I wouldn't trust their legal knowledge judging from how dim they usually act. An example being, I asked if they could put sugar in my coffee before the cream, because it's difficult to stir in the sugar after the cream is on top. Yet instead of doing what I asked by putting the sugar in for me, she handed me the sugar sachets and asked me to add the sugar myself before she put the cream on, so I put the sugar in and before I had time to stir it, she put the cream on top. Then she started rolling her eyes and having an attitude when I asked for a stirrer and was trying to stir the sugar after she had put the cream on top.

Once again going to this store I have an issue, I have an issue everytime. Previously they put the wrong milk in a drink for someone who was lactose intolerance when I ordered alternative milk but the ticket was read wrong. This time round I ordered pods via the app along with my order to find they did not have any. The staff member offered a refund to which I accepted, she then advised she could not as I ordered via the app. There is no option on the app for a refund. She could not offer a customer service number and said there way nothing she could do as it was nothing to do with her or the store..... Sorry but Costa is Costa whether its an online order or in store order. Such Poor customer service.

Nice place to have a coffee. Don't have the white hot chocolate. It's a chemical sweet taste and gave me massive indigestion.

The lady making the coffee was so lovely & very helpful! The guy on the til however was rude and obnoxious throughout my visit & it was very off putting. It was comments like ‘ugh we aren’t Starbucks’ when I asked for a sleeve or cup holder due to the heat of the coffee. It was me not being able to see where the till is because of all the screens and him snarling at me if you want coffee you’ll have to order here. Finally he barked at me and spoke to me as if I were a child because I moved up in the line too quick and he barked: we are still practicing social distancing combined with an eyeroll. Honestly absolutely disgusted - I was there for a coffee and to mind my business - no one will ever be important enough to be that rude.

The staff are welcoming and helpful. The shop is always clean and well cared for. Best of all the coffee is great. A very relaxing place to stop and drink.

Generally I have no complaints about Costa as its a well ran chain, and at the end of the day it is what it is. Probably not the best visit this time but maybe just an off day!

Staff attitude unengaging, dirty uncleared tables under covid. Large flies on food area. Not a good example of Costa coffee outlet.

Stopped for a coffee. Looked like a member of staff was smoking outside while waiting to get something to clean the table with. Expensive for what it is.

Same Costa as everywhere else, service good, drinks average. I am glad I'm not a regular Costa drinker

I had the Berry refresher drink - very cold and full with flavour. Welcoming staff and great toilets. I didn't know where the bin was so o had to throw my drink out outside but that was 👌🏻 OK. Over all very good

It was same people as before. The one who rudely said "Do you want a coffee or not?" Then I walked out to get coffee somewhere else. This time I saw it had the same woman with long dark hair as before, but as least she was only making the drinks and not serving. I ordered the drink from younger one. Asked for a latte with cream on top in a take-away cup for £3.75. Saw she hadn't made drink yet, so I took two brown sugars from pot, gave to girl on till and said could she please put sugar in before cream. Then one who was rude before gave me drink in an ordinary cup, gave me back the sugar saying sorry she already made drink before she knew I wanted sugar in it, and that was it. She didn't even care about making the drink how I wanted it. Don't know why they have a person there who clearly couldn't care about customers or the drinks she's making. I tried putting in sugar after cream on top, but cream went over sides when I stirred it. I asked for a refund so I can go somewhere else to get a drink how I want it, but she then put it in a take-away cup

Very friendly and chatty! Great service everytime we have visited!

I've been going to this Costa for quite a long time and, compared to other cafes in this chain, this is the worst one I've encountered. The servers (and manager) are miserable and unhelpful, and the orders are often completely messed up. They don't appear to care very much about their customers whatsoever, and the quality of the drinks they produce is very poor.

I was looking for some wafers I usually eat, so asked the woman with brown hair in plaits, and she said really rudely "we haven't got them", so I was looking at the snacks for something else to eat. She wasn't even on the till, as was one making coffee, so she was making coffee for another still staring at me in a rude aggressive way, making me feel uncomfortable. Another girl was on the till who also had brown hair in a pony tail who wasn't rude, but she's smaller and more thin, who could see I was still trying to decide. I looked back at the rude one to see why she was still looking at me, and she said really rudely and aggressive "Do you want a coffee or not?" So I said yes, then she said really rudely, "well what do you want?" At that stage I didn't want to stay, so left. Then I was in Tesco and a woman was ordering a coffee, so I struck up a conversation with her. She said coffee in there is as good as Costa. So I said, funny you should say that, as I walked out of Costa because a woman was rude to me. Then she asked me if she had brown hair, so I said yes, and she said the same happened to her and she hasn't been back since. How can stores have people like that who work in a coffee shop, which is supposed to be friendly?

Popped in here for a catch up with a friend, not first choice however, with 02 down, and being the only non pub open, costa drew us in..Relatively clean, polite staff, my order was wrong, but the apology was swift and genuine.Coffees always good, I’d avoid the seasonal cakes they’re always subpar focussing on image,the penguin cake was disappointingly dry; in fact it felt as though it had never known moisture!Late afternoon in the last couple of hours of service is a good time if you want a nice coffee and catch up, there’s not many loud families and you can hear eachother.There’s some nicer places, but costa has a relative brand standard and better opening hours.

Awful service given staff did not want to be there when walked in was sat on their phones in the doorway to their back room. No receipt given when asked. No sauces offered for breakfast rolls and no napkins given. The worst was I had a take out orange and cream hot chocolate and appear to missing a good inch or so.... I've only been in here a few times but the staff are always very friendly and kind! I'm autistic and can sometimes find it difficult ordering things but they made it very easy by being so lovely! The drinks are fabtastic and the food is DELICIOUS!

A coffee with my sister in Calne, was ruined, and had to be cut short, because of toddlers screaming non-stop! The mothers did not attempt to quieten them. The staff did not ask them to quieten them down, either! When I left, my head was ringing!

Fairly typical Costa kept clean and tidy, staff are typically young but well trained, friendly and helpful and will gladly run around the counter to deliver orders for the clients who have their arms full (young mums) or are unsteady on their feet (we have quite a few ex-servicemen with missing limbs in Calne).Wifi is ok and decor is standard Costa - happy to go back

To describe the attitude of the server as ambivalent is kind. Not a hint of a smile. Coffee not tamped in basket, half of the coffee flowed into the catch-tray which was acknowledged with a light shrug. Milk put under the steamer and left to overheat whilst a sausage sandwich was slowly secreted onto a table. On returning, the scorched milk was dismissed with another light shrug. Half-poured coffee shot sloppily chucked into the scorched milk and clumsily dumped onto a saucer. Green teabag chucked onto the tray, pot of hot water cast down beside it. One courtesy is that the teapot lid, initially put on lop sided was adjusted flat. Beside this small redemption, it was a wholly distasteful experience. I regret spending the little I did there and categorically won't go again.Short of throwing the drinks onto the floor, I find it difficult to see someone taking less care over an order. Suggested improvements: happy, polite, well trained staff who take pride in their work would be a good starting point.

Nice location in the centre but at the end of the day it's a chain coffee shop that you get all over the country. Nice to chill in whilst in town with a pleasant atmosphere.

We popped in and had a cold 'Strawberry's and Cream' creamy festival iced drink, very refreshing with good service.

Pleasant staff, fairly quick service. The usual Costa drinks and food. Sockets available by some tables. Nice but quite cramped.

The coffee was ok, sometimes too cold & not great taste, could do with cleaning tables outside more often.

It's ok as any other Costa, coffee quality has dropped in a past couple of years. Seems that most of the places don't clean their coffee machines properly at the end of the day as coffee has unpleasant bitter aftertaste.

Believe it or not this is the second Costa I've been to recently and not been happy with the service at all. Went into this particular Costa and ordered a cookie mocha (I've had one almost every day this week.. They're lovely). However on this occasion my boyfriend brought out two drinks that didn't look anything like the cookie mocha.. I even asked him what they were. They didn't look right.. They tasted horrible.. Like flavoured water. My boyfriend took those back and they made no apologies for the fact they were wrong and just took them away.. He went and sat down and two new ones were brought over.. Exactly the same looking and tasted again horrible. He then went back and told them they were still wrong.. They argued back with him and said they were made correctly.. I'm not sure whether the dozens of times I've had them before were not right but every other time they've been lovely. Once more, the attitude of the staff was horrendous. As much as they argued and said it was right.. It deffinetly wasn't. I sure won't be coming back here. worst Costa I've been to. Staff ridiculously rude.

Yes I know that it can be expensive eating in a Costa but what a relaxing environment and of course wifi. The staff do not kick you out and I have seen plenty of people carrying out work on their laptops. It is a great place to meet up with outside tables for the good weather.

Always polite. Coffee hot. Seems to be packed out frequently! So must be good ! Toilet clean and nice to have a roomy one. Be better if there was a male and female Separately! Love costa coffee always a nice taste.
