Nice enough cafe and the cakes are lovely. However they really need to rethink their pricing for children. I paid almost £9 for the smallest sandwich we've ever been given in a cafe, and 3 kids snacks (banana, yoghurt pouch and crisps).... assuming the 3 snacks at the absolute most were £3 it was almost £6 for a sandwich with almost no filling and a tiny slice of thick bread....not overly suitable for a toddler. Unfortunately it's unlikely i would return and it's a shame as there isn't much suitable in the city centre for kids. There should be a kids menu for £5-6 as there is in most places, even if this consisted of 1 less snack it would be more affordable for many families.

First time here, took my granddaughter, she had a great time, lots of toys to play with, easy going atmosphere, lots of parents enjoying a coffee in peace. Coffee was great, and toasted sandwiches, cakes, all good value. Toilet was clean, and well thought out, with potty for toddlers, baby changing table (plenty of room too), even lovely Neals Yard toiletries in there. Staff helpful and welcoming, the kids hub is a great idea!

My son had a great time here. Perfect place to take kids however £2 for one banana?! Ridiculously expensive. Next time we will go with full bellies!

This place used to be a joy to go to. The kids loved the toys and we loved to have a coffee / food/ cake in a relaxed atmosphere. Now the food is so expensive , there are very few toys and as another review said its actually confusing to know what are shop items for sale and what the kids can play with. This was quite stressful. 'mummy can i play with ....... ' I understand the need to diversify to build revenue maybe but it seems like this is more of a shop now and not catering for average families. Quite sad really.

Came here when it first opened and quite enjoyed it, excellent wooden toy selection and novelty value. Now: the toys are worn down and the owners look the same, barely cracked a smile. It's now more of a toy shop with lots of lovely expensive clothes and toys for sale on shelves within kids reach so I was constantly saying 'don't touch that please'! Very confusing for the kids about what they could and could not touch. The coffee was good, food ridiculously overpriced for what it is. And only one stinky, non ventilated toilet to cater for lots of kids was just not enough. Sadly we won't go back. Go the the library instead. It's free and has a cheaper cafe.

This is a lovely idea and it’s nice to be able to go somewhere that young children can play. The service is terrible though! I’ve been twice and they are so so slow to bring out a coffee and a cake! We waited half an hour on both occasions. I couldn’t really see what else the two members of staff were even doing for it to be so slow.

This is located in one of the link roads leading into the city centre and is very close to a designated car park. The entrance is one of the areas that the children play in, although these play areas are central to its clientele. The decor and fittings are those that would be enjoyed by a toddler whilst the mother has the space and time to have an adult experience. The tables and chairs are standard and there is a sofa type seat for those who just want to sit and enjoy a cake and drink. There is a counter with lots of homemade cakes and after placing an order there was a longish delay and then it was brought out to the table. The staff were very friendly. We had a cream type cake and a cinnamon tower plus tea and soft drink. With the exception of the cinnamon cake that I found to be very stodgy and lacking in flavour, however the remaining items were very tasty. The single toilet was very clean and he whole ambience was satisfactory. Despite it being near the city centre, I thought that it was slightly expensive.

Lovely little place, lots of fun toys, some gorgeous kids clothes on sale and an amazing vegan chocolate and banana bread - plus delicious coffee. All in all, a great place to stop with little ones to play 😊

Went for Sunday lunch. Waiting staff were good and helpful. Can't say the same about the meal, Tastless pork. Undercooked potatoes. Insipid gravy. Really was not an acceptable standard. Wont be going again. Can do better at home.

AVOID AT ALL COST - if you want food After booking a table for 4 on Monday 22nd Aug for brunch we arrived to be told sorry, the waitress had sent back the wrong card machine and they were closed. We rebooked for Tuesday 23rd Aug arrived again after parking in town for 2 days, to be told, sorry we have no water today. We have closed the kitchen. You can imagine my disappointment 2 days on the trott, what a way to run a business. The manager was basically saying tough there is nothing I can do about it. Terrible attitude rude and no help what so ever. Good luck if you go for food.

Very average coffee at a very high price! Poor snack choices and nothing for vegans! Worst of all, they don’t take cash, as if they were trying to usher in the New World Order or keep out the poorest in society. I won’t be coming back.

Good tasting food and quick service. Nice open area in the back to sit down as well. However, it can be quite loud and busy during peak lunch hours. Overall, worth a visit.
