Costa in Exeter

Usual Costa. Nothing amazing and over priced

Just ordered via Uber Eats, Ordered one hot chocolate and bacon bap!! to receive the order without my food, NO BACON BAP. They have no contact number so unable to call to receive my food and UberEats say it’s Costa that’s the issue. I am disappointed and money down. Order Ref: 744B5

✨️Stopped here for a coffee and a cake before hitting b and m ! Pretty nice Costa, clean and tidy. Was nice that it wasn't particularly busy. All the food was topped up, only downside but then you could say this about everything and anything at the moment was the price of some of the cakes and parties. However, overall, a decent place for a coffee ☕️

The drivers repeatedly appear at reception causing more work for the receptionist. I always add a note to deliver to the side entrance to avoid this.

Food was great and Delivery was on time but the delivery drivers don't read the delivery instructions! Asked to be delivered to the parts dept but took it to the other end of the building as reception.

Went here for coffee and a catchup with my friend. The service is always spot on, the staff are friendly and the place is clean and tidy. You can sit outside, we were lucky with the weather on this day so it was nice, (inside is always busy).

The Mac and cheese was left on side not flat so food went everywhere order large and only had half cup

The driver was perfect but I think costa need to be putting the drink in cup holders not in bags! My drink was half empty by time it got to me!

No food available only cakes and crisps. Only one toilet which was in need of repair and has been for weeks, disabled out of order. Nobody clearing tables.

The Manager needs to attend a customer service course as his attitude was appalling! The previous manager was a lovely young man who would go out of his way to greet you and the service was excellent and he was a credit to your shop as we were regular customers in 2023 .. Giovanii was the name on his badge but no way should he be a manager as he was totally ignorante, told us to wait abruptly as we went to order as he was arranging the counter display. Please would someone remind him that the paying customer pays his wages and due to our experience we will not be visiting Costa at Marsh Barton again!

Lovely coffee and extremely friendly and polite staff which means a lot nowadays would definitely recommend this branch of Costa.

After a Christmas shopping trip my wife & I topped into costs for a nice refreshing latte with a raspberry & almond slice as a treat. The service was slow due to the assistant serving making mistakes over charging two previous customers then we were served having to repeat our order three times before being understood due to the staff talking over us to each other. Once we received our latte & cakes we took our seats to find the table dirty sticky and move to another table again dirty but not sticky then our latte was very watery and cakes extremely dry to say we were disappointed is an understatement due to the long wait at the til we decided to just leave and not any fuss, I know we should give the costa a chance but I’m definitely not rushing back

I wanted something to eat after a bit of shopping and before I went to work. The fridge wasn't working and empty, so I reluctantly chose something sweet & fattening and paid. When I got to the other end of the counter, there was a hand written notice to say that hot food was available...stupid place for the sign, it should've been by the fridge!! The usual (for this branch) sullen, miserable, moody & disengaged staff. See photos of the toilet...disgusting!!! I've contacted Costa previously about this branch and I'm still awaiting an acknowledgement! Costa seem to take it for granted that people will put up with this. It's in a very good positon so people ho there. People will go elsewhere, I know I will! You've had far too many chances, Get a grip Costa!!!

A nice Costa in the middle of a retail park. Clean. light and spacious with friendly, efficient staff. Food and drink is usual Costa standard.

Surely Costa know how to clean a tea spoon? There is no reason at all for a spoon to ever get like this. Very sloppy and unhygienic.

It's a Costa, convenient location, coffee was fine, but cup was dirty, and the room was really stuffy and warm. Not really complaining, just wouldn't come back.

Plenty of parking available including disabled spaces. One knows what to expect from Costa. The staff were friendly and efficient. Tables are well laid out which creates a nice relaxed atmosphere.

Paper cups again..the price should be reduced. Realy slow service.. New girl making coffees needs training properly🙏 not her fault 😕

Was very busy, got the wrong coffee twice,machine so close to till,the server could not hear properly, dint bother asking for cake.

Nothing outstanding going on here. The coffee was average, and the staff just doing their jobs, nothing more. Trying hard to say something upbeat about this place. Maybe get one of their cold drinks after you've been shopping in the little shopping complex. Toilets were clean and high chairs for Mums and bubs. If you want a good espresso, you'll have to head to Lilac bakery not far away in St Thomas.

Fantastic staff, work hard and always friendly even when understaffed on a hot Sunday like today.

Food and drinks were fine, but the environment was like a violent attack on the ear drums!! You could not hear yourself think and we couldn’t wait to leave. Costa sort out your acoustics!!

It's perfect for grabbing a decent coffee on the go or stopping for a bite to eat with gluten free options too! Dan and the team in Marsh Barton, Exeter are always really friendly and helpful when I stop by so thank you - I'll be back again soon!

Coffee machine needed cleaning and a male member of staff was wearing the filthiest apron I've seen in a restaurant.

Great pit stop today for a latte and hot chocolate followed by almond slice and Victoria sponge muffin , very clean shop , quick service , quite quiet even though it was half term by smiles all round by all staff , my muffin was superb , light , fluffy and very tasty , whe were up that way again we will be there.

The hot chocolate wasn’t hot chocolate, it was just basically hot water in it.

Ordered a two flavoured hot chocolates and a latte, one hot chocolate didn’t come with the marshmallows, and the other hot chocolate was the wrong flavour

To place an order then wait an hour and half and you can’t contact anyone, the food was not really hot at all.

I was waiting for my car at a nearby garage to have stuff done s I had a few hours to kill. I thought I’d go to Costa for breakfast as it’s really the only decent place on that estate to eat (don’t think about wasting your money at the McDonald’s next door..see my review ). So I ordered a bacon bap, a chai latte and a millionaire’s shortbread (why the heck not). I omitted one star as when I was at the counter, they have croissants and a few cakes etc that are uncovered. I really don’t like that at any place I visit. It’s not hygienic and at this time of year, if a fly gets in, it’s going to do it’s business on any uncovered food. So that puts me off and reduces my score by one star. Other than that, the staff were great. The food was great (one of the only costas where the food I got was hot. In some branches their toaster thingy does not warm the food through). I enjoyed it. I came back a few hours later and ordered another chai. Again, the staff great and helpful. The place is pretty clean and the atmosphere is alright.

Really friendly staff, quick service (I go early to miss the peak times), perfectly the music volume is just right (barely enough to work out what cheesy 90s R n' B track is playing).
