Dirty cups and spoons. Went into ask for replacement, was kept waiting so helped myself to two cups and asked for clean spoons which I was just handed without any words at all from staff member. Appalling staff attitude. It wasn’t busy at all and surely checking cleanliness should be standard 😡

Been here a few times. Not a regular as it's not in my hometown but it's always worth visiting.

To be quite fair I think it is appalling I had to wait 15 mins for an ice coffee which I wanted 2 shots of caramel the women said no. Bit rude and felt like I was in the wrong. Tbh I don't now want to go back to Costa as the service is so bad. Ruined my experience

It's coffee, all coffee shops are expensive but the coffee is good to me anyway.

Sorry, usually put 5 stars for Costa service but it felt short staffed, however the barista making the drinks coped admirably and was seeing what was coming up to prepare while making the current drinks. No food purchased but the pastries and sandwiches are normally great if we buy any.

Will definitely be visiting again. Great atmosphere and lovely staff.

Great place to sit and catch up with people, relaxed atmosphere and baristas are pleasant as always. coffees and hot chocolates are delicious too.

Always lovely staff these days, know how you like your drink. Atmosphere is usually good. I know they are a big chain, but in a town the size of Verwood it has become a really important hub.

One of the better Costa's we've frequented, they all have a minimum standard to conform to but this one goes that little bit extra!! It was surprisingly quiet there today, a tad unusual for a Saturday, so there were plenty of tables inside to choose from. The staff are friendly, no Neanderthal grunts here, and the coffee is always good & hot!! We come here quite a lot, its our pitstop en route to the New Forest!!

Visited the costa Verwood store and was treated to excellent customer service ,I was serverd by a lovely young lady who I’m sorry did not catch her name but the service was excellent and the coffee was up to standard (this review is from a ex barista maestro at costa ) hope this gets to the store and the young lady gets some recognition alli can remember is she has dark hair and glasses ,very happy with the service of it helps I ordered two flat whites ,large coconut Capp ,tiffin,Eton mess and raspberry almond back

Nice location. Staff friendly and provided good service. What can you say about Costa Coffee? It's a good to drink. I didn't sample any of the food, but in other Costas, the food, such as toasties, is a little bland . But there is a good variety of snack items . It was clean and has a good outlook.

Just popped in as I had a free drink to claim. Lovely, friendly staff. Spotlessly clean inside.

Costa Verwood...one of the nicest, cleanest, friendliest Costa's that I have been to. A lovely atmosphere.

I visit this Costa every day, the coffee is great and the staff are very friendly. In my job I visit a lot of Costas and this is one of the good ones. Yes it can get busy sometimes, but it’s worth a short wait for hand made coffee. I would certainly recommend it

I never usually do this, but I’ve always gone to costa verwood to get my morning coffee but something needs to change. Yet again the manager there is useless and rude, he’s always very aggressive towards customers and staff and quite honestly it’s disgusting, I’m embarrassed to see it so I’m going somewhere else.

Popped in for a coffee whilst passing through Verwood. understaffed as are many of these places. Manager really not helpful, the way he spoke to the staff was appalling, whilst not appearing to be actually helping them! Really no need! Dirty tables and serving area just generally unkempt. Lots of things unavailable, surely food and drink should be ordered in accordingly. Verwood is a small place and there are other options for food and drink, would advise visiting one of them instead. I know it’s just a chain coffee shop but you don’t want to leave generally feeling grubby and unwanted.

Great coffee but very slow service-never enough Baristas

Costa advertise a £2.00 breakfast on the board But it is not a £2.00 breakfast You have to purchase the drink separately and the bacon roll is £2.00. This is not advertised on the board The £2.00 is in bold letters and obviously designed to make you feel the breakfast is £2.00 This is a grossly misleading advertisement and should be reported.

Coffee was great as was the tea. Staff, as always, were very pleasant and efficient. Unfortunately there was no white bread for toast - only séeded which my wife finds disagrees with her. Decided to have a bacon bap and, oh dear! Bacon was fatty, greasy and just Luke warm! Not a pleasant experience! Drinks are lovely - just avoid the bacon baps! Such a shame because we have only had really good experiences of this Costa!

Hats off to the poor staff members working last weekend when I went in. Lots of people, and it was clear there wasn't enough staff, one was barely trained and it was a hot day, so supplies were running low and they mentioned their dishwasher broke too. Despite this they worked so hard, and was very impressed with how they handled a clearly stressful situation.

It deserves a ZERO star. Worse example of representing Costa coffee. Been twice. Staff service is appalling. Coffee is just ok, but go elsewhere.

Arrived for a toastie and drink so out side sitting as have the dog , the wait was long due to staff chatting about non work issues. My drinks was brought to us which we drank in seconds and the toastie was half cooked ? I went in to complain that this sandwich was not cooked and the drinks were cold , to a very unfriendly staff ? Told me that toastie are only half cooked and sitting outside our drinks will get cold This service was shocking

Visited Costa in Verwood today. A nice comfortable venue with free parking right next to (behind) the cafe. There was a long queue which started outside which wasn’t fantastic on a cold day in January- however, as with many places at the moment this seemed to be due to some staff shortages. That aside, the coffee was well made and the environment/atmosphere were nice, the cafe was lovely and warm, the staff were helpful and friendly and we had an enjoyable time. I would definitely revisit - it seems we were unlucky to hit a busy spot. The sign on the door made me chuckle!!

The staff are lovely at verwood store very hard working and professional however the manager is awful, he is rude, lazy and doesn’t care about the customer. The manager never works at pace when busy gets all the other staff to do all the work and treats staff so badly.

Don't bother going on Saturday afternoons . Long queues and they have to serve in takeaway cups even if your drinking in. Staff are friendly but over worked

Feel sorry for the staff on such low wages in an often chaotic space, they are what makes Costa better and yet they are paid a pittance. Shame on these big corporations. Praise for the employees, not for the company.

Struggling to understand why it is STILL just card payment only. No need for it anymore. Lots of places accepting cash.

Firstly, the staff are lovely and try their best….but…. On all occasions I have visited there is not enough staff to serve in a decent time, maintain cleanliness and hygiene or keep tables clear. I waited for approx 22mins for 4 people to be served in front of me, I’ve been to a number of Costa’s in much busier areas and never waited this long. Between arrival and leaving the sink tap remained constantly running. This has been the same on each visit, and is not just a lost cost but such an incredible waste of water. The ‘kitchen’ area is filthy, as well as the general daily mess that doesn’t appear to be dealt with as you work it also appears a thorough clean is required of the walls, units, waste areas, plastic screens and serving machines and food heating equipment. I would be concerned if food standards turned up. The indoor seating area was in use and I was shocked to see there was no ventilation, all windows closed and door shut. Other indoor facilities are continuing to exercise ventilation amongst other measures but it appears this Costa is not. The staff really are very lovely and doing their best, however they need guidance on task management and support in ensuring satisfactory processes are followed and hygiene maintained. In addition they need an extra staff member to support in busy periods, I believe it is this that has impacted poor practice due to lack of time and as consistently stated on visits, not able to take breaks.

Friendly staff, nice coffee and cakes. Not too busy. Some seating outside which is nice when the sun's out. Loo needed attention hence 4 stars not 5. There's a free car park only about 20 metres away. (Where we saw the lovely yellow old school Volvo in the 2nd picture)

Never had a good flat white here in a takeaway cup. For some reason their priority becomes to fill the cup with milk to the brim, even though it's not the correct size. Taken it back before on a couple of occasions, asked for Cortado instead, asked for half a cup of milk but given up now.

The coffee here is variable. Today was very good, last time only so so. Like most coffee houses it rather depends who is the barista.

Good to see staff busy cleaning surfaces inside and outside door whilst enforcing social distance in the queue. Coffee mixed bag the coconut cappuccino was good but the regular poor.

Extremely rude & absolutely no customer service skills. 9/2/21 popped in for a coffee. Had my mask on but had to take it off to pay via my phone. I got “ put your mask on” I said “I will, but need to pay via my phone. This carried on, 3 times & each time the rude rude man got worse. I eventually was allowed to pay, left there feeling really let down. I went outside to wait for my niece to go get her coffee, only one in @a time. Same sever, just as rude & actually told her, NO Face ID pay????? Really really shocking service. I personally don’t carry my cards because I don’t want to touch the machines. So only pay via apple. He needs to be taught how to use his customer skills correctly.....or taught them. Won’t go there again.

Busy Saturday afternoon and the 2 female crew did a really speedy job. Nice to see that as soon as an NHS crew came in, they were offered fast track.

What a fantastic costa, the staff are all friendly and work tirelessly to ensure everyone is served their desired orders as quick as they can. The tables are cleared and cleaned and the atmosphere is lovely. Regulars are recognised and the staff always ask if their ‘usual’ is what they require. Despite how busy they are here the coffee, or whatever drink you require, is always made to the highest of standards! And they are always busy.

Always stop in with friends for a coffee and cake, nice friendly staff at my local costa.

We have visited Costa in Verwood twice recently, both times the dark haired tattooed girl thinks it’s ok to shout across people to customers and is very rude in her attitude. Due to her we won’t bother returning. Shame in the Management of Costa to allow this.

Lovely coffee but, due to Covid restrictions, a long wait for takeaway! I queued for about 25 minutes, although the staff did their very best to speed things up!

a perfectly nice, ordinary Costa Coffee outlet, all very pleasant - got exactly what we wanted with no issues but nothing stand-out

After standing in a line for 10 minutes I and two people behind me just walked out of my local Costa as totally fed up of wait time. The reason being people are ordering the frozen milk shake with a cherry on top coffees which take ages to put together. Cant Costa have a machine to just make a black coffee so people in a hurry can just grab and go instead of standing like lemons in a line? After all it aint cheap coffee and perhaps they should open sepperate ice cream parlours for people who dont want just a coffee but a knickerbockerglory.

Just walked out of the Verwood Costa in frustration as I waited in line for 10 minutes as a few people were ordering drinks that should be served in an Ice Cream parlour and which takes barista ages to make up. Why cant there be a machine set up for people in a hurry to grab a coffee and go instead of standing in a line like a lemon???? After all its a coffee I was after not a Knickerbockerglory!

Nice drinks and food but disappointed with cleanliness considering the Covid19 crisis. Sat down to a table which had been cleared but obviously hadn’t been cleaned. This is basic hygiene please take care of your customers. Safety should be paramount at the moment. I cleaned the table myself.

The staff are just not that skilled, or friendly. Poor experience, considering the price of sandwiches and drinks.

This Costa is okay. The coffee is good, but the service impersonal. It is very routine regardless of how regular one visits.
