Costa Coffee in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Large seating area inside and tables outside. Toilets always clean. Staff helpful and carried my coffee outside for me. I use a stick.

Coffee tea lovely hot, had a toastie. Staff friendly.

I popped in for a coffee but was stucj outside on my mobility scooter when the young gentleman spotted me when I pressed the help button. When I got to the counter and ordered my drink, the young lady asked if she wanted her to bring it over to me. Really nice polite friendly staff

Clean tidy nice staff good coffee, nice price, lots of choice. Nice restaurant, clean rest rooms, worth a visit.

The second drink I’ve binned from here this month, absolutely no flavour it’s just hot milk.

I went in and ordered an iced caramel latte and then I was given and was given a hot latte no caramel in it and then corrected them and still didn’t get it correct. They cleave me a iced latte with no caramel and I was very annoyed and you could see they had too many orders to do but they still kept taking more orders even though a staff member had already said to wait a minute

Pretty much the same as most other costas except this one seems under staffed. They tried their best but the wait for drinks was a little longer than I would expect and I didn't see anyone clean off any tables the whole time we were there. This was during the school summer holidays I should point out to be fair.

Nice place to work. Quiet. Nice for catching up and business meetings.

We were greeted my a lovely barista who made us our drinks fairly quickly as there wasn’t a queue which was handy as we had somewhere to go soon after arriving. Our drinks were delicious and we enjoyed them. Such a lovely establishment.

My girlfriend has a nut allergy which i did forget to mention when ordering, staff were great when we mentioned and informed us of all items that contain nuts or either possibly contain nuts. After, the worker remade the drink free of charge as he was more comfortable with knowing it was not cross contaminated.

Very slow service 3 members of staff and only 1 working they need to improve on customer service in a big way this is the worst costa that I have been in

We walked in here for coffee and the staff member was clearing and cleaning the tables, yes you did read that right. Some Costas don't bother. I was served by the same person who was friendly, efficient and professional. This was a clean and tidy Costa. Well done Newquay.

Got a vanilla iced latte but there was literally no vanilla taste at all. Toastie was okay though

Not the best cappuccino. Seating isn't the best compared to others. Toilets were disgusting. Urine and bog roll everywhere. The hygiene of this Costa is questionable. £5.05 for a cheese toastie with one slice of ham in is extortionate.

Currently on holiday in Newquay so popped in to use up some free drinks from my app. Staff very friendly, dri k service wasn't long. Very clean and tidy environment.

Ash and his team look after me and my mother as if we were royalty and my mothers mates go in for a chin wag. Have made a lot of good friends for life dur to many regulars like myself. Thankyou.

Visit every Wednesday morning when delivering in Newquay. Ash remembers my order every week, spot on service.

We are regulars at Newquay Costa. Ash is doing a great job as manager. Him and his staff are so friendly and are a great team.They all care about their customers and are so kind to the elderly ones, carrying their drinks and food over to them. They make great drinks also, keep up the good work 👍

Great place to people watch and chill out after a walk. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

First time in for a while not happy with having to clear a discarded face mask and cutlery before we sat down apart from that the staff and drinks were perfect.

I moved to Newquay 4 days ago and I am already in love. Lovely Costa shop, well taken care of. All the staff I have come across with and met have been so nice and always happy to chat (when not busy cleaning or serving customers. They have amazing spirits! Thank you Alison, Ash and Brad for always being so welcoming and lovely to me and your customers. We see you and we appreciate you (at least I do). Building strong, long lasting relationship is so important in smaller towns vs cities and I feel this COSTA branch knows how to do that so well. I love that the manager (Ash) is hands on and work with the staff to create a light and uplifting atmosphere. I go to this brand almost daily and I have 2-3 coffees just so I can work and for the sake of staying in a nice environment such as this one. I cannot comment on food as I fast 22-23hours/25+ hours daily or eat every 2 days and I would only cook my food. I can only give my opinion on the staff, the establishment and my double espressos ( Alison, your coffees are EVERYTHING!) The only thing I'd add is more tea selection as I feel it is a little empty but this has nothing to do with the branch itself. Just a general customer feedback for COSTA Coffee. Thank you for such a warm welcome to Newquay. If you ever need someone weekends, I will be more than happy to assist cleaning tables or whatever you need :-)

Despite the fact it was busy, the staff were very polite and very helpful. They asked about our day, and showed us the wide variety of cakes available. My only problem is that I didn’t get to chat with the staff

Very lively cafe, coffee is lovely, especially when Vodafone have special offers, I attended today 29/9/23 BOTH staff on extremely helpful and very patience with difficult customers ,the atmosphere is so cosmopolitan , the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Thank you

Hideous service, poor coffee. Iv had better dish water. What an excuse for a coffee shop. Should state, over priced stale food and watered down milk with coffee flavouring

Possibly the worst costa I’ve ever been in. Barely any tables. Half an hour wait time for drinks. Nobody clearing tables so every table had two trays worth of empty mugs and rubbish everywhere. Absolutely appalling. Also surrounded by people queuing for the toilet (clearly most of them being the general public rather than paying customers).

Went in today and ordered 3 drinks. Would have brought some cakes to but was put of by the lad serving who spent most of the time stroking and fluffing up his hair over the fresh cakes. We waited in the cue and the woman that was making the drinks did her best and was rushed off her feet, tables were filthy and constant traffic of around 10-15 people coming in to use the toilets as a public convenience. Not a great experience and don’t think I will be returning.

I'm truly sorry. As much as I love Costa, 20 mins waiting time for drinks to be made is not acceptable, especially as there was only 1 person in front of me. And 3 staff, 1 doing till, 1 making the drinks, 1 spare. The person making drinks had to keep being reminded of the drink. Wasn't asked if j would like sprinkles. Terrible service, atmosphere was strained.

The 5 stars are for the guy on shift today. Ash was trying to do his best between customers and uber eats… completely alone with a long queue he tried even to smile even if he looked very tired … it is not fair for a company like Costa to have just one person doing everything (barista,cashier,etc…) especially during busy times He deserves a pay rise for sure

Did not open on time. Sandwiches expired w mole. Hot chocolate wasn’t even hot started cleaning whilst I was eating at my window I thought they threw water at me

If I could give this experience zero stars I would. I queued for over 20 mins while three out of the four staff were tidying rather than serving. The queue was out the door and not so much as an apology for the ridiculous wait. Avoid at all costs (I only bothered as I had a voucher expiring!)

Top location. Staff obviously don't care about being there. Didn't acknowledge me and turn their back when there's no one else on the queue. Training and more staff needed.

Just come back from a holiday in Newquay & really enjoyed the coffees from here. Was served every time by Ash which was great for me as he made an excellent coffee. A nice personal touch is that he remembered what my order was after my second visit. Hopefully I'll be back again next year

What can you say anything more than they do a lovely coffee and more..

Went on Sunday 14th May. Joined long queue-several customers in front and behind us left because of the wait. The Barista prepared the wrong order for the person in front extending our wait even longer. Our frappes were good so dispite the wait of over half an hour it didn’t warrant a complaint. Went again on 20th May - same long wait same ordering mistakes, including mine which was made up completely different to the last one. In addition people were declining to use the toilets which were disgusting. On both visits they were under staffed so feel the criticism should go towards the company.

Today I was in the afternoon and there were 2 girls very tired and bored with work in Costa, they served people because they had to do it, you could see the tiredness on their faces. Me and other people stood in line for a long time 10 minutes it took me to order a coffee for me. It's been a long time for coffee today.

Freindly staff and a nice bright clean branch.

Came in during a wet and miserable day and was greeted with a smile. The barista Ellie was very helpful as I didn't know what to get. Overall friendly staff will be coming again.

Very slow service, guy on the coffee machine just seemed to leave at one point (he had gone out thr back to get more milk). Eventually someone took over from him but it all seemed very chaotic. When I did eventually get my drinks, the coffee tasted horrible and I noticed a nasty black smear on the inside of my cup. All round not a great experience.

It is in a great location and is very popular which is also the problem. Not enough staff to cope with demand. Very long queues, service took an age. The tables were dirty from previous customers, poor staff unable to anything about it as run off their feet. Massive queue for the toilets which were absolutely disgusting. Worst costa I have been in. I imagine at quieter times it would be a great place. No issues with the staff themselves, they were rushed off their feet and doing the best with what they have. Having more staff on shift I suspect would make a huge difference to the customer experience.

AGAIN? The staff clearly don’t want to be there. Had to ask them to fill up as only half a cup. Repeat my order 3 times. Tutting a rolling eyes not a good look. Others in the queue commented too. No toilet roll in both facilities. Prob best not to visit again.

Popped into Costa, didn't fancy coffee so decided on a hot chocolate. Wasn't disappointed!! Was served by a cheerful girl called Elayne, other lady and guy all relatively new to the company All were friendly and welcoming The hot chocolate was delicious!! I asked for extra hot, which it was, with cream and a fake My partner was given marshmallows, which I hadn't asked for. But he loved them!! The experience has almost restored my faith in Costa Newquay. And was definitely worth the visit

Wow I have seen such unhappy team (23/1) moaning about their shift in front of a queue of customers, started packing up at 16.10 so they could get out at 17.00. The service was abrupt especially from the guy, whatever got these guys to this point needs addressing quickly.

Quick coffee stop. Staff service was good as it was very busy.

Terrible today. Drink was really bad and tables and cutlery were filthy. I understand only 2 staff serving but people should understand to wait. Will not return unfortunately 😕

Very nice Costa coffee shop with friendly staff. Enjoyed a very tasty hot breakfast bap and a good coffee for £4, good value. A comfortable place to refuel!

A work colleague of mine went into Costa in newquay this morning asking for a coffee to drink inside and was told she was not a regular customer but she can have one to take out. The best of all is that there was locals sitting in drinking coffee. My colleague said stick your coffee and left.

Lovely staff very busy during main season very clean nice coffee shop, be aware though we went at 4.35pm and we told they were no longer serving as they close at 5pm its the first Costa I've been in that don't serve until closing.

I find one member of staff rude I came in here the other day , had to wait while he finished his cigarette 🚬 outside then told the scan card wasn't working. He said he would have the points on next tome I come in. When I mentioned it today he said the machine is never broke and more of less made me feel a liar which I'm not

Popped in here today and asked for a OAT Milk Latte. Was given what I believe to be Almond milk. I only drank a small amount and told the lady at the counter. Thankfully I'm not allergic , but if someone was that could have been deadly.

Was barked at on entry that it was take out only no toilet available.... was two people working until the bald tall guy working there decided oh look a queue to the door it's the perfect opportunity for me to go to lunch and leave my co-worker struggling on her own. 35 minutes later we walked out with luke warm drinks and poor customer service

Came in 17.45 and was told they are closed and couldn’t get a takeaway coffee.. says clearly on the entrance door they close at 18, first Costa I’ve been to that stops serving before closing time.. disappointing!

I have visted this costa a few times this week and would like to say well done to the staff who have given great service .

Absolutely love the hot chocolate

No cold drinks today as ice machine couldn't hold up to the heat, im sure they missed out on a lot of money when it was over 30° everyone wanted a cold drink.

Me and hubs popped in for coffee and cake. 20 min waiting. The lady on the till, didn't seem to be able to take orders correctly. So when it finally came to my turn I had to repeat the order, several times. Then the guy making the coffee forgot me and I politely reminded him I was next as he was preparing the next customers drinks. When he had done mine, I confirmed what they were and took them away. To find I had a coconut latte and a hot chocolate, not a caramel latte and skinny latte. On top of that the cake was stale. And used my 2 free drinks. The queue being so long, and it now being 5 o'clock. We just left.

Long queues because poorly managed on August 8 and 9 around 11am. First day, they didn’t serve me coffee with oat milk. Second day, the tall man on the till spilled milk all over the floor and on my legs but staff didn’t even apologise. I believe they were racist with my friend when they asked him to wear a shirt and two other guys who were shirtless but not Asian was not told off. I will avoid Costa at all costs now.

The staff were fantastic and opened a little early for us after a long journey overnight. Great customer service.

Very rude bald person on the till. Should not be working in this industry. If your not happy you should find a different job. Didn't even let my elderly father use the toilet. All he could say was takeaway only?? Surely as customers should be able to use the toilet.

If I could give it 0 stars I would the queue for the toilets was quicker than to be served. Waited 15 mins and didn't move so gave up.

I understand you have to be kind and considerate to all customers but to have full blown conversations while we are queuing out of the door isn't on

I am a regular at newquay costa and I would like to say how good it is to see a couple of members of staff that have returned, Ash being one of them. They are so friendly and make great Lattes. They make a fantastic team. They all work so hard and it must be so challenging because it is so busy. Keep up the good work Paul and co......

Costa is my favourite place to visit everyday ,My latte always tastes so good ,with such friendly and welcoming staff too ,its great to see some of the old staff back this year, I would always recommend anyone to visit Newquay costa. well done guys.

Update your opening times. Staff said "CLOSED" at 16:45 on 21/05/22. Despite sign outside saying 17:00 and Google saying 18:00!

Rather disappointed that at 11.30am on a Wednesday, there was seating available provided you wanted to share your Cappo and tiffin on a highly stacked dirty table, over flowing with used cups etc. There were 5 uncleared tables that would suggest others wanting to sit down and put the dirty dishes on another table. I would have. Not overly busy but whilst waiting in the queue , 2 people in front so quiet, no member of staff came to clear. Took ours to go.

I am a regular at newquay costa and I would like to say that the new manager Paul is doing a fantastic job. He has recruited lovely staff and the atmosphere is great. The lattes are so nice and I am hard to please so they have their work cut out. The counter is fully stocked which is a good improvement and the cleanliness of the place is spot on. Keep up the good work

Paul has taken over as manager of costa Newquay, which is great, he has recruited a good team of staff which are all very helpful and friendly, it is much cleaner there, beautiful lattes, can see such a difference already in costa bank street Newquay, well done Paul.

I come to Costa daily. Really love their coffee and the large size is just perfect size. Bigger than Nero’s. The staff are very friendly with me and are familiar with what I order, so there’s no need for me to even say anything. Great service!!! The one thing that annoys me is the constant changing of opening hours! One day it opens at 7AM, then suddenly it now opens at 9AM? It’s extremely late. I now have to go somewhere else as it’s not open early enough for me.

Love this Costa, there is always a vegan choice. Most only sell like one or two products or they sell it. Here there's is also food or cakes available! Staff are always welcoming, and polite! It's nice to see a smily face every time you walk in
