A great find in busy Perranporth. Really nice food offering at very decent prices. Great service as well. Definitely a place to go

The girls who run this have always been lovely to me . Breakfast beans on toast and lunch jacket potato and beans . I have always had good service . So thank you girls

So unbelievably rude staff. There was a queue piling up behind us because there was no one behind the till to serve anyone. It’s a small café and there was one fat old woman who worked there barging past every single customer didn’t take anyone’s order. Everyone was just stood around waiting for ages, don’t recommend.

Cool beans ? More like bad beans! Felt very unwelcome. I asked for more butter for my jacket potato and had to pay more for a little extra butter and I refused. Felt like the staff wanted physical combat outside I felt threatened. health and hygiene need a little visit. The staff are lazy too and just sat outside would not recommend. My friend had a panini and it was undercooked I had a bad stomach after. Do not recommend this place. Go to ICE & BITES.

We arrived in Perranporth for the day at the beach.as it was early and still a little cloudy we decided to stop off and have a late breakfast to fill us up for the day. We came across this cafe that welcomed dogs. We sat at the table in the window that had just be vacated by the previous customers. I tided the empty pots up and my husband took them over to the till - believing this would be helpful to the staff. One of the ladies then appeared and directed at my husband to leave empty pots on the table - that's the thanks you get!! This should of been a sign of what we were to experience. We placed our order of 2 breakfasts, scrambled egg, bacon roll, Coffee, hot chocolate and a smoothie £31. When our breakfasts arrived they were a thrown down onto the table. The bacon was well overcooked. The toast was cremated. The sausage was inedible - hadn't been cooked for long enough and the egg was absolutely awful. My daughter also had the smoothie that had what looked like jelly in the bottom - she couldn't finish it. The staff were rude when approached and actually believed that she had served us something good. We felt sick for the rest of day and were so annoyed that we had wasted our holiday money on total crap. If you value your money and expect decent food avoid this place. We will never return here again, I'm sure Perranporth has many other places that serve good decent food. One star is too much.

Visited the cafe hoping for an enjoyable breakfast. As we sat we took some dirty plates to the staff as they were on our table. We were greeted with bad attitude from staff saying that we should have left the plates on the table. Once our food had arrived, we took one look at it, and we were disgusted. Both bacon and sausage were cooked poorly and the eggs were overdone. We struggled to eat it and eventually gave up as it was digusting. Never going back again. It doesn't even deserve a 1 star.

As usual, we spent Whitsun week in Perranporth with all our family and visited this cafe twice. Two smashing ladies run it, giving great service and lovely food. So if it's sunny, and you're hungry and thirsty, sit outside, have a sandwich and a cup of tea, and watch the world go by, you won't regret it!

My partner and I tried to grab a drink from Cool Beans. Whilst I had a face covering, my partner is exempt due to severe asthma and has a hidden disabilities card. She was declined entry to the cafe even though the person in front of us was not wearing a mask and was served no problem. I feel this is slightly discriminating as if other people are being served without a mask then why was my partner not allowed?

Two OAP ladies enjoyed lunch here. I had potato and leek soup, my companion tuna mayo sandwiches with generous amount of salad. Soya milk for my tea. Cannot understand the previous negative comments here as we were made welcome and enjoyed our lunch. It seemed a friendly place to us.

We were turned away from another cafe because we had dogs but were warmly welcomed by the two ladies at Cool Beans. The coffee was excellent and we are both coffee snobs. They sat and chatted with us making our dogs very welcome and giving them a treat. A must if you are visiting Perranporth.

Called in for a coffee and after it was ordered was told they would bring it to us. We are quite fussy about coffee and were very impressed with the great coffee they served, plenty of flavour and hot. Would definately go back when we are in the area again. Also very friendly service.

I called in here on a recent visit to Perranporth, there were a few people in and service was quick there was no attitude from the lady who served me as some appear to have experianced, i had the ckicken and cheese pannini with bbq sauce with salad a coffee and a slice of coffee ans walnut cake. The pannini was tasty enough but was served without the stated salad whilst the cake whilst nice enough was slightly stale no doubt due to the time it had been stood in the case, the coffee was good. Overall for the price charged it filled a gap but there are many other options in perranporth.

Stopped here whilst visiting. Ladies were friendly, had smoothies very refreshing. I had coconut and pineapple crush... delicious. They also do frozen yoghurt... shame we werent there longer.

Same as recent reviews, two members of staff two middle aged ladies were awful at customer service, we order chips bacon sandwich and cold drinks and made it look like they were planning HS2 railway Kids ate as only empty shop but I would rather starve them eat there

Visited today with some friends, the service was appalling! The food and drinks were nice but the staff were not friendly or approachable. We were moaned at for bringing sand in (we had been on the beach and tried to get it all off) all in all a disappointing visit.

We stopped here for a drink during Easter break, the cafe was empty. There was a big variety of drinks to chose from including milkshakes & smoothies. Unfortunately the lady serving had a real attitude, she made a few comments which made us feel really unwelcome. We wouldn’t go back, there are so many other places on the high street where you at least get a smile from the staff.

On entering Cool Beans we wondered why it was empty at the busiest time of the day. We were about to find out. As we sat down my wife didn't like the lady behind the counter as she gave her a dirty look and had a feeling she didn't want to serve us. We gave the dogs a drink from our bag. One of our dogs accidently walked away from our table and the woman said that dogs must be kept on a short leash. By this time the atmosphere wasn't good so we decided we didn't want to eat there and made arrangements to leave. The woman then remarked, "Oh come in and give your dogs a drink, leave a mess and leave". Which my wife replied, "No we're leaving because you didn't make us feel welcome and appeared very rude. Sadly the customer care experience didn't materialise that day at the Cool Beans café and we advise you not to visit.

Great place near the beach to stop in for a coffee and treat. All tasted good. I will be back and would recommend it to others.

normally go to pickwicks along the road , see last review , so popped in here , had the veggie , 1 egg , mushrooms, beans , toast and 2 veg sausages , the meal was hot , the sausages were dry as an old boot , was left very unimpressed as were my two mates ,one who had the vegan , tho this was not ton the menu , and he managed to exchange his egg for another piece of toast , the other mate had a full cornish , this place is ok if youre starving and everywhere else is busy , so wont be going back there again , staff didnt seem very friendly either

Stopped for a quick lunch with our 2 children. Baguettes and sandwiches were good and milkshakes were great. Nice, quiet little cafe.

Popped in for two take out coffees to have on the beach while walking the dogs.

First off, it's a dump. Looks horrid - it was our stop of choice only out of necessity. As I ordered a coffee (decaf) one of my friends made a joke (directed at me) about there always being someone that wants a decaf with soya milk served by a virgin. This, apparently, was highly offensive and he was asked to leave, which he did. Two more of our group (women) that had done nothing wrong were told if they were with him, they could leave, too. I asked what was going on and was ignored. I asked for a refund - that got a response (if not a refund) - to be told to ask my friend as it was his 'foul mouth'. Nutters. As it turned out my decaf was disgusting as well as over-priced, the counter was sticky and dirty and the whole place looked like it needed a good clean - rude staff makes it a must avoid destination if you happen to be in Perranporth.The 30 of us in our group ended up going elsewhere to spend our coffee money over three days and met lots or friendly folk considerably more charming and hygiene-conscious than the rather frosty women here. I'd give it fewer stars but there isn't an option for that.

We were in Cornwall as a group for our annual weekend. On our first day we popped into here to grab a cuppa and were basically all thrown out for no reason other than somebody lacking a sense of humour. A friend was having banter with another friend in our group who was at the front of the queue, when the lady behind the counter took offence and threw him out! We thought at first she was kidding but when she threw us all out because we were all together, clearly she wasn't! This was totally unnecessary. Not sure how they remain in business treating customers like this, we all have families and friends and will be advising them to stay well away from here. There are plenty of other welcoming places to grab a drink.

after travelling through the night to miss traffic arrived in perran much too early so rested in car for couple hours then straight on phones to look for an early breakfast coolbeans seems to be the nearest/earliest to us so head down hill to town with missus 2 kids me and the dog get there parked right outside got table dog was welcome decent fresh breakfast very good coffee and lovely staff seriously worth a stop if in town

Visitamos este encantador establecimiento dos veces en el transcurso de nuestra estancia y nos quedamos encantados en ambas ocasiones. El café era muy bueno y los desayunos cocinados estaban calientes con buenas porciones de tamaño medio. Los huevos revueltos eran perfectas y el tocino cocinado a las preferencias individuales. Había pan sin gluten se ofreció como alternativa a pan normal y Julie (propietario) trabajó muy duro para conseguir todos nuestros pedidos en el mismo tiempo que ella fue por su propia cuenta. Julie era amable y hablador y nada era demasiado problema. Volveremos más adelante en el verano y esperamos otro viaje a cool beans.

Un salto para un desayuno y café mientras visitaba. Las salchichas vegetarianas eran apenas comestible (la mía a la izquierda). Pequeño tamaño de las porciones. . 1 rebanada delgada de pan tostado y un granos pocos, ¿Cuánto cuesta? granos Es una pena porque podía ir sin salchichas vegetarianas como son a menudo una decepción si la gente más generosa con las partes más barato del desayuno. En el lado positivo el huevo fue preparado muy bien y el servicio no tardaron mucho en todo. Realmente disfruté de mi café. Está en una estupenda ubicación. He leído los otros comentarios sobre servicio al cliente. Yo no encontré el ambiente o un servicio estupendo en nuestra visita y sin repetir lo que otros han dicho que este café tiene un gran potencial, pero carece de atención al cliente. El personal parecía amable con la gente que más lo entiendo pero si los turistas o lugareños estaban pagando los mismos precios! Parece que hay una buena selección de bebidas, batidos, etc., pero no probamos ninguno así que no puedo comentar.

Tuvimos el placer de llevar a nuestros hijos adolescentes aquí para el almuerzo hace unos años cuando era manejado por una pareja encantadora joven. Escribimos una crítica tripadvisor praiseit entonces y no pudo lo suficiente. Increíble, sándwiches fantástica bienvenida acompañada por una ensalada de estilo bistro y patatas fritas. Mi marido y yo volvimos a arena Perranporth y no podía esperar a visitar Cool Beans. Fue una decepción enorme. La cafetería estaba vacía en pleno mediodía. Ahora sabemos por qué. La señora sirve no tenía personalidad o adorna social. El café era bastante grave, y la música era extraño, por decir lo menos. El tipo de cosas que te dan en repetitiva cds dormir. Deprimente y muy ruidoso. Nos trasladamos fuera, a pesar del frío, para escapar tanto la música y la falta de atmósfera. Nuestro almuerzo llegó y los baguettes estaban muy bien, aunque la anterior fue sustituida por una deliciosa ensalada iceberg, pepino y tomate. Tuvimos que pedir cubiertos! Estuvimos allí por media hora y cerca para ver una media hora más. En este tiempo nunca vimos a otro cliente. Este vino como ninguna sorpresa. Si el café es aún propiedad de la pareja joven que conocimos en nuestra anterior visita, me parece que lo siento pero parece que han dejado a personal inepto.

Nos detuvimos para un almuerzo rápido y estaba bien. Desayuno vegetariano era adecuado, pero algo que no te tire juntos en casa con facilidad. Fichas del pensamiento de congelados y poco a modo de presentación. El café es bueno. No necesariamente volver, ya que hay mejores lugares cercanos, pero es barato y hace el trabajo. La decoración está desgastado y hay un olor de aceite de cocina usado. . .

Sólo se detuvo para tés y cafés, pero para sorpresa eran muy bonitos. La variedad de comida parecía increíble y me hubiese ordenado algo. Las dos mujeres que eran preciosas y como los únicos clientes tuvimos una agradable charla. Me imagino que el servicio es visto como por debajo de la media, pero Benditos sean sólo hay dos de ellas trabajando, así que es inevitable. Pero ninguno el menos si quiera para una buena taza de té o café y que recomiendo. No dejes que el exterior tiene una decoración te desanime. Obtenga su tarjeta también recoger que viene de buen uso utilizamos 3 en una sentada.

Extremely poor service, discovered a hair in glass and did not even receive an apology from The staff. Very rude and unwelcoming. Strongly advise anyone not to go here if they want polite warm friendly service

Went here for breakfast whilst staying in Perranporth- lovely little place, small breakfast was the perfect size, reasonably priced and absolutely delicious! They even put the butter underneath the toast to soften it rather than being given it rock hard straight out of the fridge! Would highly recommend

It's a nice clean cafe nice food. A big breakfast isnt that big. If you like a big fat breakfast this isn't the place for you. but it tastes amazing. And friendly

The lady serving was a little stressed when I asked a question but she was very accommodating with our menu choices. Our food was basic no side garnish but did taste nice

Don't listen to what you asked for and argue with you when they get it wrong change the Filling because They want to and then refuse to remake it because They got it wrong excellent restaurant across the street only got one star because it won't let me put zero my recommendation is to go anywhere else

Visited this wonderful cafe on sunday after the Perranporth Triathlon, found the owners extremely friendly and welcoming!

This cafe could be lovely - unfortunately the poor customer service lets it down. The front of house person looked bored and unwelcoming, and not friendly in the slightest, immediately getting my back up as I have quite strong feelings about customer service, especially in a holiday location.I asked a couple of questions and was answered with one word answers and no hint of a smile. The tables were dirty, and when I asked for ours to be cleaned, instead of just doing it she argued that they were clean, just worn. They had crumbs and food on them! She then served us our drinks and it was too late then. A family left while we were there and another family came in and sat at their table, this wasn't cleaned either. There were 8 of us in total and we didn't have to wait long for our food, my husband and I had the breakfast which we thoroughly enjoyed, but the rest of the party didn't think much of the paninis. Don't think we'll be returning, unless the member of staff in question has a personality transplant! I also think it's terrible to comment on a review like I've read on here previously! Not the best way to attract customers!

smartiebean smoothie was the best smoothie I ever had, milkshakes were made with icecream and had several flavours. a lovely little coffee shop with friendly, helpful staff. will be back to try another flavour.

We found this lovely little eating/coffee shop run by a couple. The sandwiches were delicious with plenty of fillings and the home made cakes were so tasty and fresh we went back for seconds! Friendly helpful couple and nothing was too much trouble....we will be back soon

Lovely clean and friendly cafe on the main street in Perranporth with smoothies to die for! Excellent prices and a great choice of food and my dogs were more than welcome at the outside tables - perfect!

Popped into Cool Beans today with the family (including the dogs!) and absolutely loved it! Definitely recommend the paninis and sitting outside in the sunshine :)

Slow poor service ,the eggs were like rubber the best thing was the milkshake but even that wasn't as advertised.

Visited this lovely little cafe and had a cream tea - scones to die for, proper Cornish. Will be going again - prices reasonable and service great

We were greeted by a happy and friendly member of staff who took are orders. Then after a little wait she apologised because the fryerWasn't on. But when we got are food it was worth the wait. The meal was lovely. And the choc chip milkshakes were fantastic we went back for seconds. All in all a good meal. Good luck in the future.

Visited this cafe a couple of mornings and really enjoyed it. The coffee is very nice and reasonably priced and the bacon and brie panini was one of the best i've ever eaten!Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere, right next to the beach, what more could you want?!

Visited Perrenporth last week and used this café for early morning coffees, I did not have anything to eat but the coffee was always great tasting, never had to wait long and there was always a friendly face and polite banter.

Visited Perranporth on our holiday, visited the cafe by chance and was pleasantly surprised!! Very clean, quick service and friendly staff. Pretty good menu for a smallish cafe and all reasonable prices. Would definitely visit again.

Nice little cafe been there a good few times, breakfasts are decent and the burgers are by far the best ones in Perranporth. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. They even got me a bowl of water for my dog.

Excellent cafe which is close to the beach, really good breakfast, kids enjoyed the bbq chicken pannis, staff really polite and the cafe really clean, call in and try for yourself

We stumbled upon this gem whilst on holiday last week and cannot fault it in anyway. The staff are wonderful, the food and drinks great! We did not need to go anywhere else. Will definitely go back there next time! This was the best I had on my visit to Cornwall this year. Well done!

We popped in for coffee on the first day of our short break in Perranporth with our three grown up children, and loved it so much we never went anywhere else! Beautiful coffee, wonderful lunches and all at an amazing price. The proprietor was fun and friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Found this cafe on our first day on holiday, and returned everyday for nearly 2 weeks!!! The owners are friendly, professional, and very welcoming and completly accomodating! The cafe itself is clean, and the food is fantastic! What more could you want! We also have a 19 mth old little girl who also enjoyed going as she very much enjoyed the smoothies and fresh fruit yoghurts they have on offer! Highchair available and cheese on toast in request! This is a new business to the area, the couple that run the cafe were very professional & helpful. The interior was immaculate, the food & the service was of exceptional quality. The menu was very varied and reasonably priced.

Lovely little cafe in a good location, food is very good ( had a lovely baguette). Very clean and well presented and owners very nice and friendly and enjoying their first season. Definitely recommended.
